Salanoir wreched the fighter out of the water. "Misterss needs help" she told Valora. She nugged the unconsious form of Adrina on to her back. Wolfgan's look showed the pain she was feeling. "Adrina, that would never happen." he said, lying outright.
"Wolfgan, you know as well as I do" she replied, her voice hollow and emotionless. "We are both going to die here"
"No, we can't, one of us has to tell the King."
A man in black and wearing a mask crept behinde Wolfgan before she could warn him. Her friend's death was quick and Wolfgan did not utter a sound as he looked down upon the two inches of steel potruding from his gut. He grimmaced, and the life was snuffed out of him, as easily for the man in black as blowing out a candle.
Adrina felt hot breath on her face. "Wolfgan, Wolfgan," she muttered. "Wolfgan, your going to die!"
She salt up and opened her eyes. "Salanoir" she said, releived. She patteded her mare's nose and tried to stand. Immedently, she was on the ground again. "Wine" she said. "Get me wine."

When Valora heard Adrina say that she wanted wine, she raised her eyebrows. "Wine is last thing you'd want right now. But if you did drink it any way, I'd have to give you the hangover cure I learned from the tribe healer." She gave an impish grin when she said this.

"Honnestly" Adrina said, her head throbbing. "The alchohal makes me--I mean my magic--recover beter. I don't have to be drunk, just a sip here or there..." she massaged her forehead. "It will help, I think."
Adrina stood up again, and the world seemed to spin. she didn't trust herself to walk, let alone stomac and food of some sort. Using all your magic was not a fun thing to go through, and the faster you used it, the longer before you could recover. Every mage had a limit, and once that limit was hit, in less than a few hours or days, the mage was without power for a while, possibly even weeks.

"I am not giving you alchohol," Valora said flatly, "I don't even have any alchohol for that matter. But I do have something that will help you recover your magic." Valora took a vile out of her traveling pack and handed it over to Adrina. "A bit of adivice on drinking that. Hold your nose, drink as fast as you can, and don't ask what's in it, because you don't want to know. Trust me." Valora was dead serious when she said this.

Adrina took the vile and drank it quickly. The liquid was the most disgusting thing she had ever drunk. She tried to spit it out but it hadd coated her throat, but even then, she could feal her inner magic start to grow from the nearly dead embers to a steady, if small, flame.

Valora looked over at the gaging Adrina. "Well? Did it work?"

Valora gave a sigh of relief, "Good, I wasn't sure if it would work with how old it was," and she had stifle a giggle when Adrina almost gaged on the water she was guzzling.

"Thats not nice," Adrina said jokingly. "If I didn't feel bad for you I would push you in the river." Adrina mounted Salanoir and patted the mare.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. It actual was the healer's most recent batch. And you never have to worry about it spoiling." Valora didn't elaborate on why this was so.

"I've had worse." Adrina stated. "Back home, a healer..." Her voice trailed off, thinking about her home was painful. She cleared her throat, and blinked the tears from her eyes.

"I know what you mean," said Valora softly, "Right know I do not know if my friends and family are alive or dead. Those knights back there were nothing compared to the main force. I still need to warn the other tribes."

"No, it's..." But Adrina couldn't think of an excuse for the tears now sliding down her cheeks. She wiped them off angerly. "So, what do you say? Will you join my quest?"

"And what would that be?" Adrina asked. She felt restored from the potion.
