wellwisher seems like the interesting ones are the G, U, and B...i'm gonna remeber that. and i don't see a lot of play around them mostly, all of my friends (thats right the ones that are considering quitting cause their best friend beats them usually with 100 damage overkill, i think it's cause i'm a girl and they were the ones that tried to teach me) are busy trying to work around the epic cards. and then i laugh at them as their strategies fail to any one of my decks, but the point is that they don't set up the feild right, so epic is all about getting the setting just right -that's the con's of the epic spell's, once it's played u got no control anymore.

4 out of 5 epics are total garbage. Only the white one has seen play in tournaments why? Because you can play 1 copy of a billion enchantments and it's basically tools once you get the Enduring Ideal off and you can regain bored control. But how do you win? Red honden or Genju of the realm. If I had a decklist for what got played I'd post it but the rest = crap. Black one is too slow, Blue one is too slow. Red one is faster but you need luck and I got one word for the green one. Pyroclasm...

Just wondering, if I imprint an epic spell in Panoptic Mirror....
Turn 1: 1 Epic copy Turn 2: 2 Epic copies (one for the epic ability and one for the panoptic) Turn 3: 3 Epic copies (one for turn 1 copy, one for turn 2's and one for this turn's) ...
And so on. Is that true? Or will the limit be 2 copies per turn?

I think it would be good if you had a good all creature deck.

Meaning you can try to do that all you want but after the first one goes off it'll stop the mirror from casting anything sad

japoniano Dark Lord Yawgmoth Sorry. Panoptic Mirror "Plays" the copy. Meaning you can try to do that all you want but after the first one goes off it'll stop the mirror from casting anything sad Epic says I can't play spells, and as you said the Panoptic plays the spell for me mrgreen or doesn't it? xp Like he said, you can't do it that way. By checking official rulings, and plain common sense, you can see that Epic says you "... cannot play spells..." Panoptic Mirror's ability copies the spell, makes that mana cost disappear, and allows you to play the spell. That's the key. Any ability on any card that says you "PLAY" the spell/copy/whatever, means Epic hold up a stop sign and prevents the spell from ever saying "But..." However, cards like Uyo that copy spells and keep the copy right on the stack are A-Ok. You can copy the copies of Epic cards (without the Epic ability, however), and copy opponet spells as well. Maybe you'll get lucky and even be able to copy an opponents original Epic ability spell as well, meaning you now have two Epics on the stack every turn. Also, cards like Uyo, Twincast, etc., can be used when an Epic spell is played to increase the amount of copies produced every turn. Use this to your advantage. (ie. Neverending Torment + yTwincasts(or other) = xy cards removed every turn. Huzzah.)

japoniano Enduring Ideal, COMPLETELY useless! Not even playing the hondens makes this worth it there's a decklist that won Nationals that would disagree with you =P Enduring Ideal is the only Epic with enough combination of versatility and power to be played. Endless Swarm and Eternal Dominion costs too much for an effect that is easy to play around. Undying Flames and Neverending Torment can be interesting but the inner synergy of the deck based on them is lacking.
