"Let's just say the coffee didn't kick in when it happened." Bing said. There were a lot more complications than that, but that's all they needed to know.

"And just call me Bing, Last time I was called a mister was at my job, and I hated that."

He looked to Autumn and said, "Wish I could introduce you to a friend of mine, he'd tell you better than I could."

"Alright, sorry Mr., er... Bing.

"He turned to Autumn with a serious look. "I won't lie to you, it hurt. Really bad. And you'll be sore for a few days afterwards. It does go away though." He didn't want to scare her too much. "It's weird at first, all the new feelings, but you get used to it.

[Autumn Chandler]

"The coffee didn't kick in?" Autumn asked, somewhat confused. She then turned to Ryan as he explained how much growing a tail hurt. "Like how bad?" she asked. "And what new feelings? Having a tail? Or other various things?" He could've also referred to other things, such as claws & fur.

"...Don't Ask, it's a very, VERY long story." Bing said hastily, trying to keep it from anymore curious prods.

"And if you want feelings, imagine having another arm on your butt, that would be what a tail is like." He said, cutting in on the conversation like a swift blade.

Jasmine 0%

The small girl had never really seen a real beach before, so the new sights and smells of the foreign island had caught her in a breathless state. Even though her parents had sent her to hopefully treat her of her Selective Mutism, she could have fun on the island. Jasmine caught herself imagining the next few months on the island, and instantly shook the thoughts out of her head. "As beautiful as it is, you're here to get cured, and that's it." She mused, not aware of the nearby group until she had almost ran into one of them. Thankfully, Jasmine had stopped her foot from moving and making a horrible accident. She pulled her white sketchbook closer to her as she opened her mouth to speak. Her voice did not show up, so she simply waved to the group.

((A mute character? Cool, I was thinking about doing a mute character, different reasons though.^^))

Bing's ears flicked to the slight sound behind him. He looked around to see a another girl, who seemed to have not expierenced the changes nethier. The doctor must have had a field day with people or something, new people were popping around the island like daisies.

"Oh, hello." He said, deciding that the conversation between Ryan and Autumn wasn't worth butting into.

((She can talk, but usually either doesn't, or her mind won't let her. :3;; ))

Jasmine stood still, staring at the strange character seeming to greet her. He looked as if he had been altered due to a horrific side-effect of an animal testing disaster; she hoped that this wasn't her fate on the island. Noticing the hello, she instinctivly blazed through the pages of her sketchbook, finding the page she needed and showed it to him. It was a page that said "Hello!" in dark blue letters, it also looked like the borders around the text had been doodled around.

After a few moments of staring at the sign, Bing figured she couldn't talk. This was new. He never met a mute person before. He shrugged, you meet someone new everyday. Well, not on the island, where you meet people every other month or so, but it's sort of the same thing. He asked, like to everyone who didn't seem changed or altered in any way, "So you're new here?"

It took a few moments for Jasmine to digest the question asked by the mutated man, as she was still stunned by the fact that he was in his state. She wondered how a mishap like transformation could occur, since the doctors that she met had seemed very professional... She snapped her train of thought as she heard the man's question, and she bobbed her head to anwser 'Yes'.

"I see..." Bing said, putting a hand to his chin and rubbing the stubble on it, not noticing the stare he was reciving, he was used to it. He didn't want to say the truth as bluntly as he usually did. Mostly out of pity, the poor girl probably was sent here to get some kind of "Miracle cure" from the doc.

"So, why are you here?"

This time, Jasmine was now completly in tune to the question that was asked. She held up her index finger, showing that she needed a minute so she could write down the answer. After a short while, Jasmine handed the strange man her sketchbook.

"Well, I was diagnosed with Selective Mutism at a young age, I've been to many clinics so that my diagnosis could be examined, and very recently, I had recieved an invitation to Feral Labs so they can examine my condition and hopefully invent a new antidote that will cure the disorder faster than any perscription on the market...

On another note... Sorry if I'm imposing, but why do you look like that?"

Bing looked at the sketchbook and read what she wrote. His ears fidgeted when he read the last line.

"These?" Bing said, his right hand pointing at one of his ears, "Ahh...." He tried searching for the right explanation, but all the ones he had on hand were those cold, truthful ones.

"What's this 'Selective mutism'?" He asked instead, handing her back the sketchbook.

The sketchbook now returned, Jasmine reluctantly wrote down her answer, and handed the book back to him. Now she hoped to get an answer.

"It's a genetic disorder in which it's very hard to speak to people, either by the person's own will or instinct.

But still, why are you like that?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 17, 2006 7:44 pm

"Yeah.... You might want to sit down for what I'm about to say." Bing said, returning the sketchbook. It seemed like the sensible thing to do.

He rolled up his short arm sleeve a bit up, revealing a little circle of inflamed skin, "You got a shot, right?" It was a pointless question really, everyone got an injection in one form or another...

"They said it was for some kind of immunization, well the truth is, they're lying, they're also lying about that whole cure thing, I hear stories about people getting on this island because they thought they were getting treatment. Very common lie the quacks around here use..."

He still held back a little bit.

((Ugh, gotta go, you can post, but we'll have to finish another time.))

Jasmine stood, her pale-blue eyes widening in shock of the unveiling the Feral Labs' secret. She stood for a moment, one of her arms hovering over where she had been injected. She instantly opened the sketchbook again, scribbling down another reply and handing it to the man.

"Well, thanks for the truth... My name's Jasmine."
