~Leadstorm pulls the bike into a parking space, lets down the kickstand and hops off. "One good thing about being this deep in the corporate zone is you don't have to worry about your ride getting jacked" he says as he waits for Trau to pull up behind him. "Looks like we're early, so there's a good chance we'll get in. Hell, we might even get a table..."~

Trau kicked his stand down, and then looked around. He took in the outside of the building, an amount of wonder in his eyes. A building like that wasn't anything from the open road, and it wasn't something that he ever remembered. He simply nodded. "Table."

He lets his gaze wander around a little more. Since that other night with the Chromers, Trau hadn't had much of a chance to look around the old city. Well, old was relative; this city was something else entirely from what he once knew. He let his gaze wander toward central city, and then he felt a little twitch at the base of his neck. There, in the center of the city, was what looked like a giant sword or pole or tower or something...piercing the heavens, some sort of monstrosity of a building. Trau motioned to the Spire, and said to Leadstorm without looking, "What's that?"

Trau nodded and followed Leadstorm through the gate. "Nothing like being a couple of outsiders stuck on the inside, eh?" he said with a little nervousness in his voice. Without thinking, his hand immediately went to his pocket, looking for the toy soldier. Reassured it was still there, he spoke again, this time the confidence clear. "I'm just wondering what kind of people are going to be here."

~Leadstorm smirked a little. "With any luck, people that can help out a couple of outsiders, a netrunner that will work for cheap or the chance to get back at the corporations, and a few damn good drinks. but with MY luck, we'll walk in on a chromers only exclusive party and the doorman will have stripped us of our weapons before letting us in..." he laughed a little to himself, doing a poor job of hiding the nervousness in his voice. He was worried about running ijnto trouble here. This was the kind of place you didn't want to have trouble in. the people that ran this place would have to be the type you wanted to stay as far away from the bad side of as possible. Leadstorm shook it off as they approached the door.

Eseen leaned against the wall of the building, just out of view from the front in an alleyway. After rummaging through a backpack she 'collected' from a stall shopkeeper who had been packing up at the time, she dropped it lazily on the ground. A sigh escaped her as it plunked down and she stared blankly at the measly few hundred she had managed to make today.

There were still some aspects of stealing she managed to enjoy, the general ignorance of people amused her and how easily they were distracted by something so small as a random rails in the isles exploding spectacularly. The payoff never bored her in the slightest. It was always nice staring at hand filled with a grand or two at the end of a days work. There just wasn't any thrill left in it.

It wouldn't take anyone more than a few minutes of conversation with Eseen, assuming she was willing, to realise she was a thrill seeker at heart. Her general appearance usually gave away her recklessness and her cold grey eyes would burn with a fire of passion if she happened to be contemplating something exciting. The tone of voice she would use would change rapidly from apathetic monotone to something almost bursting with charisma assuming you began on a topic that got the gears working in her head.

A wave of depression washed over her as she couldn't muster a thought about what she should do next. She knew her thieving days were grinding to a halt if they hadn't already. However, she was still far too young to settle down on something. Maybe it was just the poor reward she received this time around. If this was the case, she had just the right cure for the mood.

Shoving the cash into her pants, she slipped around the corner and kept her proximity close to the wall while she stormed past the building. Lost in her thoughts, mainly the ones of which nightclub she would hit up and where one would be, not to mention where she was at the time, the establishment right next to her passed her by very quickly. Or at least would have if she hadn't decided to take the stairs up in order to remain close to the wall.

She slipped her hand down, checking on her hunting knife to make sure it was secure and still there, hidden but easily reached if needed. Right at this point, she slammed into Leadstorm, unconsciously tightening her grip on the weapon before she went flying backwards after bouncing off him. The knife slipped out of her pants and slid across the concrete away from her while she sprawled out across the ********!" Eseen yelled reactively to the pain from the thud which shocked her body on impact of the ground. After rolling over, she sat up slightly, putting a hand to her forehead which she had clearly grazed while she looked over to the man she had run into. "Watch where you're going buddy!"

Trau watched the knife skitter across the ground, and then come to a rest against a light post. At first, his hand went to his sword, but then it eased up when he looked down at the girl. He walked over to her knife and nudged it with his foot, then glanced over his shoulder at Leadstorm, and then to the girl. "That's no way to make friends."

_At dusk the generators below ground kick on with that comforting hum we've all grown to love. The sign that simply reads C Y B E R I A flickers for a bit and then baths the street with its neon red glow.
_A pair of large transport trucks pull up across the street and unload 4 CENTAUR-Type S.A.A.S.s that have the words 'Cyberia SECURITY' blasted across their chest and flanks. Calder walks up to the first truck driver and receives a small duffle bag from him and they drive off. After rummaging through the bag, he pulls out a small device and the S.A.A.S.s fall in line behind him and follow him into the bar.
_The inside is as stunning as before, if a little out of fashion now. The ceiling is a full 40 feet up covered with neons, the walls a dull gray when turned off, when turned on they burst into millions of brilliant colours in patterns and images based off the collective mood of the crowd and music. Two tiers of seating with tables surround a very large dance floor taking up most of the real estate of the ground level. The bar is situated off to the right and runs the length of the wall stocked with the best selection of synth-liquor and one of the largest of actual alcohol not in a private collection.
_The heavy bass starts off slowly, setting off small ripples through the viso-walls and ceiling. within minutes, the dance floor is throbbing with prog DnB enough to mute out any other sound, while the sonic dampeners outside the dance floor keep the music at a much more controllable volume.
_Those already there and those coming in easily fall into the groove of the building, this is an occasion for good times and smiles, reunions and new alliances. And so the party begins . . .

[[OOC - Welcome to the first event ever in Cyberia 2.0! Stay around and mingle with new people and hang out with the old. It's my birthday today, so I'm not going to be online much tonight, but I will have the lottery for february sometime tomorrow as well as other give aways throughout the week. The more active in the event you are, the better chance you have to win something! As always, try to keep things civil, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me, I'll reply as soon as I'm sober again (sunday?)]]

"and in the short time I've been here, I've already made too many enemies..." he said, smirking a little. "But enough sitting on the outside looking in, let's get in here and see what this party is all about." At that Leadstorm stepped through the door into the building.~

Eseen merely blinked at the reaction he got from the pair. Unaware there was more than one person there, but making sense at the same time as well. Of course, it would explain the whole lack of preparation for not avoiding her when she charged into him accidentally, being preoccupied with the person next to him. What did surprise her however, was the man offered a hand down to help her up.

"Thanks..." She replied reluctantly, grabbing his hand tightly to prop herself upright. Her gaze shifted over to the other man present and made eye contact with a curious glare as to what he meant. "I didn't say anything about trying to make friends with you people."

The girl strode quickly over to where Trau was eying off her knife, snatching it up and hugging it to her chest as if it were some kind of precious stuffed toy. While she faced him, the flickering lights of the outside sign managed to catch her eye. Turning her head to face it, her eyes went wide at how bright it was, excitement replacing the hostile act showed by the enormous grin donned on her lips.

"Yes, lets do that!" She eagerly remarked in Leadstorm's direction. This was the place she was looking forward to in order to get over her bad mood. Just when things were looking to turn somewhat annoying, it flourished into something with the prospect of being enjoyable. Even the light sting from the graze of her forehead was beginning to dull down, or maybe that was just because she wasn't taking any notice.

"Hey wait up!" The teen called after Leadstorm. Her blade slid quickly down back into the pocket on her pants as she quickly scurried after him to enter the club. Upon doing so, the grin on her face widened immensly enough that her lips couldn't hold together anymore, bearing her pearly whites in an open mouthed smile of complete awe. "Wow...!"

((Happy Birthday))

As he entered, he took in the atmosphere of the place. Whoever had re-built the place had done an impressive job.

Heading for the bar, he thought that just maybe coming here tonight wouldn't be that bad. He wasn't one to mix with large crowds and knew that there would be an even larger crowd here soon. Still, Cyberia's re-opening was an event not to be missed and work was quiet.

Once at the bar, he ordered a random drink, not really caring what it was. Whatever it was, it was most likely designed to get him into the right mood to be here and just maybe, that's what he wanted.

He watched the clubbers for a while, nursing the until then un-touched drink. He had come in dressed classy enough to not have any problems with being let in but without any of the accessories other clubbers had felt the need to have on them.

He prefered to keep things simple. Less chance of being noticed by the authorities that way and whilst he generally had no problems being noticed by them he knew he was walking on a tightrope wire, one wrong move and his entire world could come crashing down around him.

At the mention of being offered a drink, Eseen's eyes lit up in anticipation. She stopped momentarily to look up at Leadstorm with innocent puppy dog eyes and a sweet smile. While she had a few hundred on her, a free drink was a free drink. He didn't need to know how much money she had. If anyone had known her, they'd know modesty wasn't one of her talents.

"Really?" She confirmed with the hint of excitement frilling her tone of voice. "Thanks Mister...?"

Eseen shot off into the club, giving Leadstorm no chance to reply. While she was genuinely thankful for the free drink from a stranger, she really couldn't give a damn about his name or being aquainted. It wasn't that the girl was a freeloading thief... Well okay she was, but she preferred to not keep tied . down to one place. An offer from a stranger was welcome but not returned.

Moments after she entered the building, she was seen standing at the edge of the currently empty dance floor, staring wide eyed in awe at the light display on the walls and floor with the fog adding to the atmosphere. The smile remained permanently stamped to her face at this point, being young and inexperienced, her mind was easily entertained. It didn't take much more than a few flashing coloured lights to get and keep her attention fixed despite the average attention span being extremely short of girls her age.

Even while being entranced by the display, as hard as it was, she managed to pull herself away from the noise. The only incentive to leave it was the calling for a drink. However small the incentive though, it was quite a strong one still. It didn't take her very long at all to discover the location where drinks were served and it was a quick zip to close the distance from where she was standing to the chair in front.

"I'll have a downer of uhh.." She began to the tender, pausing for a moment to survey what was available. Never having thought through initially what she would start the night off with, she decided to leave the choice in someone else's hands. She wasn't even sure what a downer was anyway. "... Surprise me!"

Trau grinned, coughed, and followed suit. Noting the apparent excitement on the young girl's face, Trau attempted to mask his own learned backwoodedness. He turned to Leadstorm. "Rather generous offer." Trau nodded to the section with real liquor. "Let's hope she doesn't find that."

Aleister sat straddling his bike and watched the security detail arrive. Parked half a block away he felt he could safely observe the entrance for the moment. He checked the address again on the flyer he'd been given and ran his fingers over the prickly stubble growing on the side of his head. A grim smile spread aross his face and he wondered if he was walking into another trap.

Inhaling slowly, Aleister stepped off his bike, stretched, sending ripples through the synthetic muscle under his shirt, and exhaled, letting his muscles relax again. He needed to loosen up a little, it wasnt like everyone in the city was out to kill him, just a select few, and he wsnt gonna get over on them by being paranoid. If he didnt find Threl tonight, hell he might have a little fun anyway.

It was with a devious, toothy, kind of smile that Aleister made his way towards the club. "'CYBERIA' huh?... Lets see what you've got for me tonight...heheheh..."
