Helena looked between the two Gryffindors. The two who had just come in didn't seem to have noticed her yet, so she just kept putting the books away and listened tensely.

Lisha smiled at Rikkel, and put the book with the rest of them, then turned to Karen, "Well don't you like looking at pictures?" she asked her, then bent to pick up another book.
This time she noticed Helena. She smiled at her too, then saw the Slytherin colors on her robe and wondered if she was like the boys that had just been mean to her and Karen

Lisha's eyes popped, "How do they do that??" she asked flipping back and forth trying to see if there were any wires for a video feed.

"Heh... Lisha, they move by magic," Karen said quietly, showing Lisha an art book she found. "See?" The girl in the painting waved at the two of them.

Rikkel finished putting her books away and grabbed a new stack. She headed back over to her table.

Lisha's expressive eyes widened even more, "Will we learn how to make pictures move?" she asked, looking hopeful

Ellen was leaning against a nearby wall, nose still in her European history text book. "Probably not," she mumbled. "It's a specialty class or something." She turned the page and readjusted her footing to get comfortable again.

"Oh..." She said and went back to staring at the pictures, eyes wide again. She had almost forgotten about Karen and her interaction with the other girls from earlier.

"get lost in books often?" Nic questioned, "nah just kidding, i'd love to learn how they do that."
She reaches for a book lying near her begins to flip pages. "when will something exciting happen?"
She places the book back on a nearby shelf as if she knew where it went.
She then proceeded to just stand around before someone gave her the attention she was seeking.

Ellen looked over her book to the girl and shrugged. She hadn't gotten loss in a good book in a long while, adn that to her would be exciting. Her usual excitement usually meant a fight.

"hey i'm Nic... I'm not so new here." She laughed to herself, the six years that had passed had flown by when she looked back on them...
"Hey Ellen what are you reading? Sorry didnt mean to interrupt"
Nic smiled and continued to gaze around the room.

Ellen looked up to the girl wearily and held up the book's cover. "History of Modern Euorpe" How did this girl know her name? She only arrived at the school a day or so ago.
