Lol! My luck's starting to turn! Just won this Dark Halo for my math essay in the writer's forum. 3nodding Got April 06 and December 06 too. Sad to say that I've foolishly squandered my winnings for this contest and that one for a CoCo. I bid:

That sounds good to me. Although, next contest I want some judges that are kinder to deadlines. (They know who they are.) I still have to hurt one that I see in person.

I really enjoyed writing my lil fic. I hope we can do something like this again soon. (Maybe I can judge some time; it sounds fun.)
Now I have to go poke my nose into the other stories.
Out of curiosity: Judges, how did you apply the scoring, as far as themes, grammar, charaters, etc? Like, what are your pet peeves; what turned you off; what really caught your attention? If you could give a general criticism of all the entries, what would it be? I always like constructive criticism so I can do better next time.

We should have a challenge thread. I'm always looking for new ideas, and some people are so creative but don't have the attention span to sit down and write.

Challenge! Where? Lol! I've got a few funny ones like incorporating an odd set of words into a fic.
For example:
Your fic must contain the words banana, pillow and marshmallow.

I always like constructive criticism so I can do better next time. Merry Christmas! We tried to keep our personal tastes out of it as much as possible. I can speak for two of us. I absolutely hate the Wufei/Sally pairing, and Elphie hates Quatre/Dorothy with a passion. What we graded on is explained in the first post. I will say this major points get taken off when a character's name is mispelled. But, all it took was one judge to notice an error to kill their chances. I'm alright with next month.
