AKai blinked looking at her a dark flush spred on her face from the whispered comment. So the white robe didn't hide the fact she was a drudge. She loked at Alira again then gave her a tenative smile.

"I'm sure we will" she said though she wondered if the others knew.. how did they feel about a drudge on the sands. Would they let her stay? She shook off the doiubts and looked at Kopi who was cooking quietly incontemtnmt at the skilled hands that put numbweed on his threadscore,

"Kopi likes you" she said to Freya.

Ray stood abruptly, picking up on a subtle shift in the humming, having been resting against one of the sources. The Candidates had arrived, clustered in a frightened knot a short distance from the eggs. She glanced up, startled to see that already the galleries were filling with onlookers. Surely she'd only just sat down...?

She climbed up to stand on Wrath's foreleg, resting a hand for balance against the queen's vibrating chest, looking out over the Sands. The eggs were all wobbling now. A second glance at the Candidates--some seemed to be new arrivals, and more were trickling in, looking dazed.

With a lurch, one of the eggs toppled over, rolling away from the pile of sand that had held it upright. It slowed for a moment, then continued, rolling drunkenly toward the candidates.

"Doesn't it know that it's supposed to come out before choosing its person?" Ray mused, chuckling.

Akai was still waitinf ro Kopi to finish being bandaged when she saw the egg rolling towards them. She blinked a few times

"are.. they supposed to do that?" she asked tugging lightly onAlira's arm and pointing to the egg. She had thought they woudl come out of the eggs first.. not roll towards them. HOw.. odd..

She smiled a bit, not afraid at all of the rolling egg, well except pehraps for the safty of the dragon inside.

"I do hope the poor thing dosne't get to dizzy from his rolling" she gigled soflty her eyes looking over all the eggs, obviously it was alright to go to them. the girl that had approched haden't been bitten or yelled at or anything.

"Perhaps we should stop it?, before it runs into a wall by mistake or something" Akai suggested " It dosne't sem like.. Wrat.. you said.. minds us going near her eggs.. " she smiled a bit looking excited, and nervous. THen giving Kopi a reassuring rub on his eye ridge she stepped foward to attempt to help the egg stop. She jsut hoped she got help with this job.

Alira had been trying not to stare at the eggs before her, as it only made her antisipation grow, but now she could not help herself. She watched as the egg began rolling towards their cluttered group. As it neared, Alira took a sharp intake of breath, standing up as straight as she could while still supporting Lireal. The Hatching had truely begun.

Asherak smiled and nodded trying to match faces and names. He was usually pretty good at such things. He smoothed down his robe and smiled at Alira, "I guess I'm as well off as anyone else."

The eggs began to twitch and wobble. Asherak clenched and unclenched his hands, the urge to walk forward and touch one of the eggs was nearly overwhelming. The Queen, Wrath, probably wouldn't have taken too kindly to that, however, so he stood waiting.

Giggling along with Akai, she looked over to Narin, to see if he could hold Lireal, and then went to help Akai stop the egg. The hatching wasn't nearly as frightening as it was before, thanks to this little one.

Alerai was torn between trying to help the egg, and staying back, knowing she had no clue how to help the egg. Blazren watched as several went to help the egg. He hoped the gold dragon didn't eat them for trying...
