I can see their problem with it, kinda sorta...that's the one thing about Death Note that I saw from the beginning as being an arising problem; the use of the Death Note and it's ideas as a hit list. I was looking at the first one in the bookstore when I was curious and looking for new series, and after reading about the DN, I thought, 'huh. brings hit lists to mind'.
reminds me of in middle school when everyone thought I had a hit list. *I didn't, FYI* stupid middle school... confused

wow... i can say that really kinda is overeacting. though the series is AWESOME... writing a name in a fake death note isn't going to do very much... and how to the teachers know what death note is anyway.... oh well... one more book to add to our banned book list in China no?
...hey, wouldn't that make the first manga to ever be banned, or am i slow on times?

I wish I had a Death Note. (fake one, real one, whatever) I could so see me and my friends getting Death Note banned. Which is a bad thing, but it would be kind of funny.

dammit. i hate it how teens that read death note create such an immature obsession to death note like that... i cant stand it. i hate it how they buy death notes and actually write names in it out of malice? i mean, do they think itll actually kill them? do they think theyre cool? its as bad as when people fukin dress up as ryuzaki and think theyre smart and cool... its totally ridiculous. death note is a manga! okay? not a lifestyle.

xKaruriex OKay so I read that in China there are kids who pick on their fellow students and teachers, and make their own Death Notes out of ordinary notebooks and write the names of students and teachers in the notebook. Now people in China are thinking about banning Death Note saying that its 'evil, and poisons the heart' While others think that this desision would be taking things too far. So what do you think? WTF. Just because some people are doing it doesn't mean that they should ban it from everyone. IDIOTS!!! evil evil evil

I know Someone with a death Note and he Writes naems in it all the time because he doesnt like them (teachers stupid people ect.) But we know that there not going to die so we just do it for fun and to note that we dont like those people so there for it shouldnt matter as long as they know its just for personal pleasure (like youd like to imagen that they were dead) XD DEATH NOTE ROCKS rofl

Yeah, I read that on...was it wikipedia?
The Shenyang Incident Some schools in Shenyang, China have banned the manga after some of their students started to tease friends and teachers by altering a stationery notebook to resemble a Death Note and writing their names in them.[20]
The newspaper Shenyang Night Report called Death Note "poison, creating wicked hearts".[20] Others however, including one major Chinese newspaper, feel that the ban is an overreaction and is inappropriate.[20]

i guess it is a matter of parental guidance...
parents should not let their children do things that would destroy their children's young minds...
the full account goes to the parents, i guess...
