Ronin smiled brightly as he looked at his little red journal, which stuck inside his luggage. "I will need to write down my new name." The young one said to himself, while his blue eyes suddenly noticed something new inside the bag. 'Sir Reginald the Knight', a children's book given to him by the Lena.

His right hand grabbed the object of interest and a picture of a man in armour with a blonde girl in his arms appeared on it's cover. Ronin toddled back to the door and peered into the hallway, checking if somebody, for example his roommate, was near. No, he was indeed alone.

So he walked back still examining the item filled with words and sat down on the bed. He kicked his shoes off his feet and watched them having a nice fly before turning his attention back to the book. If he had nothing else to do he could at least take a look at this, right ?

Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away lived a beautiful princess together with her family. Everbody liked her, because she was so pretty and always reacted very friendly, even to strangers.

Ronin looked at the picture showing a blond girl waving at the crowd cheerfully and frowned. This wasn't going to be a girly book, right ? It sounded boring, boring and boring and so he quickly turned to the next page. A knight in shining armour petted a horse now.

Sir Reginald was the King's, who was the princess' father, best knight and was well known for his brave deeds. He owned a horse, which obeyed perfectly to all of his orders and was his best friend. Reginald was the best swordsman in the country and always wore the long piece of metal close to his body. Some people say he even slept with it at night.

The blue eyes seemed to glow slightly because of excitement as he read 'Sir'. He was a sir now too, at least the older one had told him so. Kyoko had told him to listen to the more experienced ones and so he had to accept this fate and be a sir after all. Ronin looked at dagger, which lay beside him on the bed and did nothing. Could it be a sword too ?

But one day something terrible happened at the kingdom : The princess was kidnapped by a group of bandits. They wanted to blackmail the king to pay a lot of gold to get his daughter back.

The whole country was very sad without the princess and her mother cried night and day. Because of this Sir Reginal decided to rescue the beautiful girl. He rode towards the well-known woods , where the bandits had their camp, at night. It was a very dangerous place and he tried to be as quiet as possible to sneak inside the camp.

By now Ronin was completely stunned and just stared at the pictures developing the child story into an adventure movie in his mind. He imagined himself being the knight who wanted to rescue the princess and he felt the tension just like Reginald must have done. What an exciting novel !

Most of the bandits were already asleep and so Reginald had to be very quiet, so he didn't wake them. He had almost succeeded to reach the hut from where he heard the princess' sobbing, as he stepped onto a bone from the bandit's meal, which cracked with a loud noise. And the bandits awoke.

Of course they were very angry and wanted to kill the knight so he couldn't get the princess. They were at least five and well known for being scary and strong. Sir Reginald instead wasn't scared and unsheathed his sword to face a dangerous fight. "I will allow nobody to harm the princess and the kingdom in any way !" He shouted furiously and fought the bandits down.

Ronin wallowed in his dreams and imagined the terrible swordsfight. What a brave man ! How nice of him, no wonder that everyone liked him. Sir Reginald had been just one person and the other had been five.

The princess was more than happy to be rescued and Sir Reginald guided her back to her home. A big party was announced and the king offered the knight a lot of gold, but he didn't want it. "I don't want any reward for doing something every person capable of doing so had done. It's just a question of honour, my king."

Everyone was celebrating and the beautiful princess was so glad about being rescued and the modesty of Sir Reginald that she noticed how much she liked him. So they married and lived happily ever after.

Ronin closed the book and stared at dagger still in his dream world. He had never before read such a good book, although it wasn't the best language-wise. But he was a boy and it was a children's book so it completely suited his likings. Honour...as a sir himself he had to be friendly, full of honour and rescue...girls ?

The young boy wasn't sure if he should like this part of the story, but decided to at least explore the unknown ship more now. He was brave, indeed.

1st Day on the Cruise

Diary, you have to call me Sir now !

Today I went on this cruise, but the ship hasn't started yet. I spent a lot of time to look for my roommate, but he didn't appear. It's nobody I know yet, his name is...ooorah...or ura or so.

Nobody seems to know him, actually. But I met two different ones, who are in the same age as Kyoko. The first one is called Sim and he's very colourful. He knows many words and even announced to me that I'm called Sir Nigel now. There were more names, but I already forgot them again. I'll probably ask him a second time. So I'm a Sir now and this means I have to rescue princesses.

I know this because I read the book about Sir Reginald, who is so great. Lena-mum gave it to me and I really like it. It was very exciting. I will show it to Kyoko when she comes home and my roommate, if he wants to see. If he ever comes around. I don't want to be alone here !

Oh yes and I met the real princess Rora. She is pretty and always smiling and she's already old. Not wrinkle old, just grown old. The Rora was very kind and the Sim even gave her a present. I will have to give her something when I meet her too. Perhaps I should try and paint something too.

1st Evening on the Cruise

I'm very tired and so I won't write much. I ate a lot : A Greek salad, a chicken and a chocolate cake. It was too much and I ate it anyway and now I'm more than bloated. Ura, my roommate, is quite alright, although he doesn't say much. He even borrowed me a pretty tie, which I still need to give back. I also found some other Princess, called Kami. She's pink and very nice as well, but Princess Rora is still my favourite.

I was invited to watch TV with her tomorrow night. I think she likes me a lot and I hope she won't kiss me...because, I'm just a child. I'm excited about this trip, but I didn't have the time to play my flute today. I'll try and send a postcard to mum and Kyoko tomorrow.

RP Prompt for Ronin

Ronin should be starting to feel like he needs to be really isolated from the group... without anyone following or noticing. ninja

The young boy watched his surroundings once again and as he blinked one more time a feeling arose inside of his stomach, which made him feel very uncomfortable.

"I'm just...back in a minute..." He mumbled and got up, slightly shaking because of his tiredness. The events had been quite exhausting for Ronin and although he tried to cover it, it was still noticable. So he slowly moved away from the others, who seemed to tired to even notice that he was trying to sneak out of the situation.

After making sure that Rora stayed near the soon-to-be fireside and that the others didn't pay attention, the youngest Simu walked a while along the shore. This feeling was still inside of his stomach, but it didn't feel like missing someone or even being uncomfortable. It was completely strange and new and Ronin somehow feared that the salt water had been incredibly bad for him.

His feet lead him closer towards this 'big forest' and he sighed as he looked at the green hell. "So..."

DreamingThought
RP Prompt for Ronin:

The feeling seems to almost lead him away, in a direction that no Simu has been in. He'll feel compelled to walk for a while until he comes across the narrow bridge of land between the main island and the tiny bird hill. The tide that's rising is starting to cover it with water, so he'll have to hurry. The moon is rising also though, and a soft glow from the moon covers everything and casts long dark shadows across the lapping water.

Once there... Ronin will see a sword on the rock mound. It's in good condition, not dirty or scratched...

And it'll be there on that rocky place that Ronin will start to grow...

User Image

(You can make the growing process anyway you like. ^_^ He'll need to get back across the land bridge before it gets covered with water though.)

The ocean's colour was reflected in the boy's eyes as he slowly moved onto the said bird island.

What a wonderful weapon... Flashed through his mind as he slowly stepped closer, accompanied by the moonlight which even intensified his feelings. This had to be the most beautiful place in the whole wide world and he, Ronin, had found it. He would show it to his sister probably some day...or to Princess Rora perhaps.

The sound of the flood pulled him out of his dreams and he finally noticed that he had to hesitate, if he ever wanted to come back to the main island. Otherwise he had to find out if birds are really as peaceful as said...But he wouldn't go without the sword. Not at all.

His steps became more firm as Ronin moved towards the rock mould and tightened his grip around the hilt of the wonderful possession. The moon slowly dipped him into a pale light and Ronin felt the feeling he had felt before. But this time it was more intense, just like a hord of ants would ran around inside of him.

As he lifted the sword up it felt like he'd managed to save all the princesses in the whole wide world. The prickle now covered his whole body and he was showered in happiness and moonlight as the young one's eyes suddenly noticed the tide almost covering the whole land bridge.

"Damn it..." Ronin mumbled to himself and glanced a last time at the hill full of athmosphere and beauty, before dashing off towards the main island.

He didn't feel strange anymore, but now there was something different that bothered him. He was much faster...and he needed less steps now to reach the other islands...and did the trees shrink ?

As he stepped onto the land the water just killed the bridge and Ronin had time to breath in an ordinary way. But as he looked down to get a better view on the sword, he was close to screaming and running back into the ocean. He had changed !

His kimono was gone and he was wearing clothes which were much more mature...and knight-like, the boy noticed. His hands slowly moved across the new clothes and he smirked. What a strange day...perhaps it was just a dream ?

Ronin moved closer to the water, but it was impossible to see himself in it's surface, because of the ever moving tide....Damn again...

Perhaps he would wake up if he got back to the others. Although this dream wasn't so bad at all...

Ronin headed back towards the small camp they had set up without knowing how long he had gone or what he should think about all of this. His own small footprints were now replaced with bigger ones as he moved up towards the place they had settled at. The newly discovered teenager didn't say a word...he just stared.

But there was something he hadn't noticed yet...a small polished dagger had found it's way into the floods as he had crossed the bridge...and it was slowly drifting away to an unknown place...

A review on everything

I'm different now. It's hard to describe but I feel different. The whole cruise changed my inside and outside.

Lena was very happy to see me and Kyoko again. She couldn't believe at first that I had grown and she was so happy for me. Telling me I was handsome and such. Well, I don't really care about it. Don't get it wrong, I want to be dressed properly and so on, but I'll never come to the point to talk about clothes like one of my sisters or Sim.

Since the cruise has ended I haven't seen many of the others lately. We went to a party, but somehow it had to end earlier and I didn't have much time to talk to anyone. To be precise, I didn't talk to anyone beside Rora and she didn't say much.
She's really pretty and when she looks at me a strange feelings arises inside of me, which I can't define.

Girls seem to be different in general. I try to be polite, but it's really getting hard if you have the desire to stare at them. I wonder why I never noticed this before.
Kyoko says I'll become a gigolo and Lena says she's jealous.

Anyway, I have decided to visit one or the other. I don't think that everyone is happy with just staying at home. We'll see.

Huni Pi

"Someone, please, save me from utter boredom!!" wailed the red haired Simu Companion. He was dressed in a black bodysuit, which appeared to have been stained by an assortment of leftovers. A tuna casserole was smeared on his left shoulder, while a large glob of carbonara sauce was spread on the small of his back. Though the food stains threatened to fall off his clothes and onto the shop's floor, they remained well intact.

Sayuri_Nitta

Tlachta blinked at the vision in front of her. Why was this...male covered in food? She cleared her throat discreetly, moving so that he could see her, the bottom of her dresses skirt swishing above the floor.

Huni Pi

It was not so much as the sound of Tlachta clearing her throat that caught Sim's attention, rather it was the sound of her skirt. The red haired teen rarely saw anyone dressed in a skirt that was long enough to make a sound similar to the one he just heard.

"Why, what do we have here? My lady, your attire and beautiful locks are a balm to this fashion savant's eyes," he declares with a flourish of his bright orange kerchief. Rather than walking as any sane person would, Sim opted to skip towards her and stopped just far enough to make a bow.

Sayuri_Nitta
Tlachta stepped back a little, a hand fluttering at her throat. Although Sayuri had managed to finally reassure the Irish lass that men were able to control themselves if she met them without an escort, she was still a little startled whenever one was more forward then she thought they should be.
'I..thank you sir,' she managed, a flush colouring her pale cheeks, and she bowed back.
'Did..you have an accident sir?' she asked tentatively.

Huni Pi

"Accident?" The red head quirked a brow, jade eyes blinking in confusion. "I am fine, dear Lady, no broken bones of any sort," he beamed, and as if for emphasis, the teen performed a very awkward backflip. Well, it was more of a reaching backwards far enough for his hands to touch the ground and his legs following rather than an actual backflip.

"Why do you ask?"

Lenachan358

Ronin had been quite glad that Kyoko didn't intend to follow him this time, because she was busy listening to her music. So he made his way to the well-known building alone, dressed in his favourite clothes he got since the cruise and entered quickly.

The blue eyes noticed nobody at first, but he heard Sim's voice and a bit of hope entered his mind that probably Rora could be here as well. As he stepped closer though he noticed another girl, he had just seen before but never talked to and, well....Sim.

"Good evening." Ronin said and bowed slightly reaching for the girl's hand and kissing it before straightening again. "It's a pleasure, my name is Ronin. I think we didn't get acquainted before."

Sayuri_Nitta
Tlachta clapped at his acrobatics, then tucked a strand of rainbow coloured hair behind her ears, as it was threatening to fall across her face.
'I see that you are fine and good, but why are you covered in food is my wondering?'
Tlachta turned as another male entered, and she coloured even brighter when he took her hand and kissed it.
'My name is Tlachta, sir,' she said softly.
'Its good to meet you properly.'

Pata lover

Kami was bored so she decided to take a walk, carrying her shawl with her. She was wearing her usual dress, reddish brown orbs looked about and spied the store. Sighing to herself, she wondered offhandedly if anyone was in there. Kami walked up to the door to have a peek, there hasn't been anyone there for a while and she'd wondered where all the others had gone? Probably at Aurora's trying to get her to go out with them.. rolleyes

Opening the door, she stepped into a scene of sim and another simu that she hadn't met before. She was pretty though, her hair being the color of rainbows. It evoked the childish side from Kami as she stood there watching them interact. Good, she'd stay because she had yet to thank Sim for saving her from drowning. She hadn't yet seen Ronin.

Huni Pi
"You are too kind," Sim bowed at Tlachta's applause, "And I am truly flattered you've noticed my latest creation," he began, "It struck me as I aided my older sister in a culinary task that food and fashion hardly goes together, or do they? Although if I had used actual food ants and other vermin would be swarming all over me, which is why I substituted the genuine thing with faux food. It guarantees the accessories will stay put and perform as a wonderful conversation piece, wouldn't you agree dear... er... oh dear, we haven't quite introduced ourselves, have we?"

It was then that Ronin arrived, "Sir Nigel!" Sim squealed, and opened his arms to embrace the knight.

Lenachan358
Ronin nodded towards the girl. She knew how to be polite, fair enough. As he heard Sim's sudden outburst though he frowned slightly, but managed the situation by quickly giving the brightly coloured one a pat on the back and retreated then again.

"Nice to see you, Sim." Was all he managed to say. It was at least a bit true, remembering the time in the cave. And afterall he was the only one to call him Sir.

As the teenager heard the sound of the door he moved his head slightly and managed to catch a view on Kami. "Kami !" He exclaimed friendly and moved towards her, kneeling down and kissing her hand as a greeting. "I haven't seen you for a long time, dear lady." Ronin hadn't forgotten about her being his second princess as a child. Sure, she wasn't Rora, but she was very pretty as well.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Oh you make you own clothes?'
Was that a goodly profession for a man? Tlachta always had thought that women were seamstresses, but as Sayuri constantly reminded her, these times were different from those that she remembered.
'No we have not.' she nodded, about to say her name but he went and embraced Ronin and she fell silent.

hellzmessiah
Since the less then satifying incidents at the party, Vincent had cut himself off from the rest of those that frequented the shop. This of course was not surprising to his mother. She had for the longest time been trying to get him out and about, to no avail. It was high time she washed her hands of that problem, and let the teen do as he would.

The young, pale boy had ventured out of his room the night before. Having constructed quite the rope from his bedsheets and afew of his less the perfect clothes. He now walked the streets of town, wondering if perhaps he would find someone, anyone of interest to him. Less then likely, of course, but there was allways hope.

He wore what seemed to be a very old, very expensive pale lavender shirt. It was much in the style of the vistorian era, ruffles breast and sleaves the flowed in rivers down over his delicate hands. His hair, which was normally let free to fall over his shoulders, was now tied back in what was a black silk ribbon. Some would say he look girlish, but on Vincent, he preferred to call it, classy.

Coming upon the shop, he noticed that there were actually people inside. 'Hmm..a rarity in this world I must say.' He chuckled, quite the pleasing sound, and placed on delicate hand on the door, pushing it aside.

Once inside the shop he noticed that there was barely anyone he knew. Of course there was that pink haired girl, the one that had been so fastinated by his playing. Perhaps this trip would not be a waited one after all.

Huni Pi
"I prefer to use the term 'design' over 'make' as every single one of my garments are a work of art," Sim grinned. Though he was disappointed by how Ronin responded to him. He was even more disappointed when the girl with the lovely mulit-hued hair excused herself momentarily. With a dramatic sigh, Sim took a quick look at whoever else was present.

His jade eyes rested upon an unfamiliar face, and after giving Kami a brief wave, the red haired teen made a bee-line for Vincent.

"Greetings! I have yet to make your acquaintance, new one," he declared. "Although you have to forgive me, I am not the sort who goes around kissing people on the hand. Personally, I prefer the cheeks or the lips," he grins and winks.

Lenachan358

Ronin got up again and watched Sim going over to the new one. He would never really get was Sim was talking about, because designs seemed quite girly to him. Anyway, it was a very funny circumstance that somehow people always managed to meet here.

So the male Simu greeted the new arrival politely before turning back to Kami. "How are you feeling today ?"

Pata lover
Being surprised by Ronin and the kiss on her hand, she put up a hand to her chest to mimic her feelings. 'Its just Ronin, nothing to be scared of' She told herself. She smiled at him, well, just Ronin all grown up. He was a sight but she watched herself from flirting with him because it seemed oddly to her like they were siblings or something. "My, You've grown up, Ronin. How lovely, just like you dreamed of. You look like a brave knight." Her voice was soft, slightly sounding sad.

She smiled at Sim as he waved at her and then ran over to that one that was playing the violin so well during the party. When did he come in? Hmmm..She managed a smile to Vincent. "Hello there, its nice to see you again. I was kicking myself that I was so rude during the party by not intoducing myself. I'm Kami."

Turning back to Ronin as he spoke to her again, she put a finger to her lips. "I could be better I guess..You? You seem happy."

hellzmessiah
Almost at the moment he walked in he was "attacked". He looked rather startled at first, not really accustomed to this sort of thing right away. He Blinked at Sim afew times, not registering his words at first. Once they sank in his chuckled. "I see..a pity indeed, though I must ask...why come up to me as you did, sir?" This was perhaps the most he had said to one person since he arrived, strange.

"There is no need to greet me in away, though thank you all the same." His voice was solf, weak, almost as if he were unsure as to where this conversation was taking him. He nodded to the man, looking past him at the other who had paid him notice. "And quite a pleasure it is to know one's name..." His eyes lit up like fire, a devilish smirk gracing his gentle features. "Such a name is not fitting for one such as you...one of your...unique personality." He chuckled. Of course he was referring to her intellect. It wasn't often he found someone with and ear for music like himself.

He turned back to Sim, that grin fading almost instantly, his dark eyes going cold. "A name sir?" he starred out at the red hiared man through long black lashes.

Huni Pi
"Yes, quite the pity. And why ask why? Must everything have a reason?" The red haired flashed a charming smile, "I have been granted the title of Lord Sammuelson Irum Me'arl, but my prefered sobriquet is Sim. Please, address me by one or the other, nothing in between." The teen introduced himself solemnly, a finger gently tapping against his cheek.

Sayuri_Nitta
Tlachta returned, stepping quietly back into the room. She had stepped out to freshen up, and then had ventured out for some air and to compose herself; she really wasnt her best with so many people. She looked around her, eyes alighting on the 'fashionably attired' one with the flame hair. She walked nearer and then stopped, tugging in her ends of her hair and looking nervous. Speak up or no? she mused, listening as the two talked.

Lenachan358
"Thank you. But I'm nothing in comparison to you, Princess Kami." He nodded, thinking that reminding her of the game they played would cheer her up. Although her words were nice there was a faint sadness in her voice. Who ever had made her unhappy would suffer from his wrath. For sure...

"Is there something I could do for you ? Run around and...slay a dragon or so." Trying to be funny he grinned a bit, but somehow it didn't really work out. Happy ? Well, he wasn't sure. He hadn't seen Rora for days and his hormones were giving him problems when waking up and noticing something in the morning because of dreams...but he couldn't tell her.
"I'm alright."

Pata lover
Hearing his words, her gaze moved from the other simu's eyes to the floor, reddish pink curls falling over her face slightly as she did so. "No your wrong..Aurora's nothing compared to me..apperantly everyone else thinks so as well... Please don't tell her, Ronin." Her eyes fixed back up to his with a pleading look in them. "She'd really hate me more than she does now." There was heavey silence for a few minutes before she spoke softly to him once again. "I'll bet you dream about her.." She sounded like she was slightly envious of all of Aurora's friends and Aurora never being a friend to her.

Kami felt relieved at Vincent's words though questioned what he ment by her "unique personality". She blinked and gently touched her wings on her back, it had become a habit while she was thinking. "You know my name but what's your name?"

hellzmessiah
He listened to the red haired boy introduce himself. He certainly had a long name, and one that was not common to this age and time. He shrugged it off. He planned to futher look into this one later.

He was about to introduce himself, when he heard the pink one speak. He blinked afew times, his head turning in her direction. "I was about to dear lady..." He sighed and pushed a stray lock of ebony from his face. "I am known as Vincent Laroche...You may call me vincent, and nothing else. I do not take kindly to kiddish nicknames and such." He rolled his eyes and took a step back.

He couldn't help but overhear the conversation going on between Kami and the other young boy. 'Who is this Aurora??' he wondered. 'She seems to be quite the topic of discussion...' he grinned as he thought, a devilishness to his smile rose the longer he sat in silence.

Huni Pi
'Well aren't we the life of the party,' Sim found himself thinking with disdain, though he plastered a bright smile on his face. Once again, he found his attention being drawn by the girl with the multi-colored hair and was vaguely reminded of Ardre. He flashed her a brilliant smile, and off handedly excused himself from Vincent's company.

"Excuse me, Maestro, I must make myself acquainted with that fetching lady with the sensible clothes."

Sim was not the sort who bothered if a person cared to be addressed by the nicknames he dubbed them. If they disliked him for it, all the better, the red haired fellow wasn't aiming to be a crowd pleaser.

"Greetings once again, you simply must tell me how you managed to keep your hair so silky despite their colors, or at the very least your name," Sim grins and rests the back of his hands against his hip.

Sayuri_Nitta
Tlachta blinked as the red-headed one smiled at her; was it directed at her? Maybe she was mistaken, but no, here he came over to her. She fidgeted a little but checked herself.
'My name is Tlachta,' she said quietly.
'My hair?' she pulled a lock around and looking at it as though suddenly realising it was hers.
'I dont know? I just wash and brush it.'

Lenachan358
Oh no, how was he supposed to handle a sad woman ? He wasn't so gentle, really, he could tell her about swords, but...oh god.

As he heard Rora's name his heart stopped to beat for a moment. His weak spot, she definately got his weak spot. Her eyes were looking at him in a very intense way and Ronin had to swallow before he was able to get control of his mind again. Kami had a nice way of talking, the young one realized.

But what was he supposed to say ? He couldn't lie about dreams...how did she know anyways ? And what did this strange Vincent one want !?

Ronin glared at the other one for a moment before turning back to Kami. "Lady..dear lady, you are very beautiful." Alright, this was true. "And I promise to keep this secret." He nodded and took a deep breath before continuing to speak. "I don't know if Aurora hates you or not, but I don't know a good reason why she should. You are...very nice." A faint smile crossed his lips. Good.

"Would you like to come over to our house and we can talk about it ? I mean...perhaps it makes you feel better." Great idea ! Wasn't it ?! "It's probably better than staying here with all the company. Just give me a call, right ?"

Ronin didn't feel very well with all the others around, bowed, nodded and moved quickly out of the building into the fresh evening air. Help...

Missing two sisters

It was definately strange what was going on since the letter arrived. Just a little piece of paper had changed the whole mood inside the household. Somehow everything seemed far more serious now and nobody would have ever thought that they wouldn't like this change.

Lena moved one hand through Nalini's hair, who was busily putting things into a small suitcase and smiled. "Don't worry, Mom. We'll be back." Was all she said and you were able to sense the excitement she was still trying to hide. Jessila just nodded as something pink vanished inside her bag. "She's right, it's not like we're gone forever or something. It's just a school !" The blonde girl chirped and put a comforting hand on her mother's shoulder.

"And you still have all the others." Jessila added as she pushed another item into the mess inside her suitcase.

Tyyne was sitting close to them on the floor and just watched quietly. It was strange to see someone go away whom you've known since birth. Jessila and Nalini had been invited to go to a special school and Lena had of course allowed them to do so, because they wanted it so much.

Kyoko and Ronin were leaning against the doorframe and Nobu shuffled around somewhere, trying to look for a plushie or anything he could give to them. Gaspar and Carlos were merrily fighting about a candy, because the liberal one was eager to give it to the sisters as a farewell present and the greedy one of course wanted to keep it.

After all the only ones who really seemed happy were Nalini and Jessila. It was an adventure, awfully exciting !

"Your train goes very early tomorrow morning, let's spend the last evening together and play a bit, drink some hot chocolate and have fun, alright ?" The mother proposed and even the teens, who usually weren't into the family thing, agreed.

Random Thoughts

Jessila and Nalini went away to a different school. It's much quieter inside the house now. I like that.

Since the meeting at the headquarter I haven't heard anything from Kami or Rora or anyone else lately. It's a shame, I sometimes tried to call her, but nobody seems to be there. Perhaps it's different to be on a boat trip than to be at home ? Probably. I don't understand them...girls.

Kyoko tries to teach my all kinds of stuff and wants me to the same music as she does and to like the same food as she does, but it's not like this. Sometimes she's just wrong ! I don't want to be treated like a dog. I know, she doesn't mean it badly, but...well, you get it.

So I'm planning to move out. Actually I've already looking for advertisements and there are a few interesting ones. Lena doesn't know about it yet, because I know she won't be very happy. I'm truly sure she'll yell or cry or anything related to these emotions. Kyoko would say, she's without control.

Anyhow, I'll do it.

Barely a few days past Thanksgiving, and already the shops of Barton are filled to the brim with all sorts of holiday decorations. Kaioto's first thought is that they're rushing the season a bit, but it's hard not to get a little caught up in the spirit.

Kiana and Solaris, too, find themselves with not enough eyes, trying to take in all the holiday decorations and colorful packages carried by almost every person they pass. Even the GMFC boasts a "secret santa" event.

The GMFC... well, Kaioto had been planning on buying gifts for the twins while they were caught up with some toy or another, but that could get a bit tricky... this was an excuse, wrapped up in bows!

"Hey guys, I've got some stuff to do now, kind of boring. You want to wait here, and when I'm done I can come back and we can go get hot chocolate?" she says to the twins she's holding by the hand.

Solaris eyes the clinic, remembering that the last time he was here he got kissed by a weird girl. "Er...."

Kiana, however, has no such objections. Hot chocolate sounds good, and maybe if she's not with her mom while she's shopping for whatever it is adults like to shop for, then she'll be able to convince her to go into a bookshop or three. >>

"Come on, Solaris, maybe there's some kids inside you can, er... be a pirate with?" she says.

Well that's not very convincing. It's what he wanted last time. Buuutttt... well, can't hurt to try again... right?

"Fine."

"We'll see you later, mom!" exclaims Kiana, letting go of Kaioto's hand and opening the door for her brother. "Come ooonnn."

"Alright... bye mom." replies Solaris before walking through the opened door, Kiana just behind him.

"You don't really want to get in a clinic, Tyyne." Ronin looked at the girl who was carrying quite a few bags, which contained Christmas presents.

"I want to look at everything so we can get just the best presents for everyone." The blonde Eden smiled in a shy way at her teenage brother. She was wearing her hair open today and her golden eyes seemed to show certain excitement.

Ronin sighed and gestured towards the door. "Well, I guess you never saw something like this before, because otherwise you'd know that there aren't any presents available here." He slightly pushed the door open and held it so Tyyne was able to enter the building.

Her cheeks flushed at once as she saw a boy and a girl who seemed to be about her own age. Oh no ! Unknown people ! They probably weren't Edens...

Chibi Sheepcat
"Sachiya, hurry up!" Havok called, zipping up his jacket and staring expectantly at his son. He had promised the boy yesterday that he'd take him back to the clinic to meet some new friends. Since Maelon had left with Pryderi, there was no one else around that was Sachiya's age, and consequentially the boy was feeling a bit lonely. Besides, there was nothing wrong with getting out of the house for a little while.

"Coming!" The boy called, finally managing to get that last boot on his foot. Stupid clothing. He wanted to go already! He had just started buttoning up his jacket when Okita leapt onto his shoulder, chirping merrily. "Okita coming?" Sachiya asked, the Idle Thought currently nesting himself in the boy's scarf. The little creature chirped again, now quite cozy and ready to go. Trotting out the door and down the steps towards his chichiwe, the pair set off for the GMFC.

Sachiya reached the doors first, having run down the last hill. Not waiting for his Dad to meet him down there, the boy opened the door, slipping inside. After all, he didn't want Okita to get cold. The clinic didn't look that full, which made it easier to pick out who he knew and who he didn't. Not spotting the cool woman from the Halloween party or anyone he knew for that matter, Sachi settled for the boy and girl nearest to him. They looked his size. "Hey." He greeted, falling into step with the taller children. "Who're you?" Okita chirped his greeting, still nestled in Sachiya's scarf.

Kaioto_Katsuma
Oh crap. Another girl.

Solaris sighs upon Tyyne's entrance. He knew he shouldn't have gone along with Kiana... slumping in the nearest seat, he wonders idily if invisibility is a power he might spontaneously develop.

Kiana, noticing her brother's reaction, nudges him in the arm. "Yo, Solaris. Look up."

He does and is greeted with the sight of... YES! A boy! Boy don't kiss boys, so he's safe! Suddenly not-so-slumped in his chair, he happily replies to the boy who's just made his way over to them. "I'm Solaris!"

Not waiting for her brother to mention her at all (Ha, like he would), Kiana adds "And I'm Kiana.". No reason to add they're siblings. Either it's obvious to this new kid, or it's not, but why make it obvious the strange little princeling is in any way related to her?

Solaris flashes a glance in her direction as though he knows what she's thinking, but says nothing of it. Instead, he turns to the boy. "Who're you, then?"

XBear
Slush would be having a heart attack if Tourma even suggested going outside again, especially in the snow. He would also be having one if he knew that his daughter was in fact outside, in the cold, without him to protect her in the very least.

Thus, Slush currently had no idea what was going on, not after X had reintroduced him to a fifth of vodka before she left the house, a snugly bundled toddler in tow.

Isto had informed her about the escape and that her granddaughter had behaved like her son-in-law had last winter. And she wasn't about to let Tourmaline get cold like that again.

Wrapped in a multitude of layers, hats, and scarves, the toddler could barely peer her eyes out to watch the snow falling around the pair as she was carried towards the clinic. Her tail was currently curled up under her coat and 'hiding' from the tail monster, the same one which had apparently 'killed' Isto's tail bald.

Or at least, that's what X had said.

"See, it's not bad outside. Your Mommy's full of s**t." X cooed as the vampire pushed her way into the clinic, shaking the snow out of her wavy blonde hair.

"s**t?" The toddler repeated, words muffled by the scarf wrapped around her face, which was soon unwrapped once the two were out of the way of the door.

It was then she noticed the twins. Twins like Dari and Zach. The same but a little different. "Hiyas!" She chirpped, in quite a good mood now that she had been allowed outside.

X nodded to the pair, continuing to unravel the toddler from her massive amounts of layers.

Chibi Sheepcat
Ridding the snow from his boots, Havok strolled in a few minutes after Sachiya had made his entrance. So the boy had already found himself someone to talk to? Excellent. He would let him do his own thing - baring any major catastrophes - and just sit and watch. This was the boy's time, not his. Seating himself in the corner, the kitsune reached for a magazine, and began flipping idly through it. He glanced up when the door opened, watching as a woman brought in what looked like an extremely bundled up toddler. Havok watched the overly-dressed toddler for a moment, before chuckling and returning to his magazine. Poor kid.

Sachiya tilted his head at the sudden change in posture at his appearance. Did he not like girls or something? Maybe he had been bitten by a girl or something. That would defiantly have put him off. His ears perk when the boy speaks to him, one ear turning when the girl also introduces herself. Solaris and Kiana? They were easy names to say. "'m Sachiya. This is Okita." The idle thought chirped, before wiggling his way out of the boy's scarf. He had caught sight of Tourmaline's rather vibrant hair, and was positively fascinated by it. Mind you, the idle thoughts aren't very intelligent, so this wasn't surprising. Bounding across the floor, the little creature leapt up beside Tour, blinking his blue eyes up at her. Pretty hair.

Lenachan358

Tyyne was close to turn around and run out as she bumped into Ronin who was silently standing behind her. She knew he wouldn't allow her to go without introducing. He was always so formal. Usually she liked him for being like this, but after seeing the face of the young boy, which had been filled with disgust, she didn't want to get to know them.

"Come on, they're you're age." The older one simply pushed her towards the small crowd of people and bowed as a greeting. The other girl looked a bit like a princess. A small one, but after all she had the spark. "May I introduce myself ? I am Ronin Caraway and this is my sister..." He pushed her a bit.

"Tyyne..." She mumbled very insecure and stared at the floor.

Kaioto_Katsuma

"Aaw!" is Kiana's only response to the little Idle Thought. She may not be your typical girly girl, but it's hard to ignore something that abnormally cute and fluffy. "Where's he going?" she says, half to herself, as she watches him bound off towards the bright-haired girl.

She'd have kept watching the little creature if it wasn't for...

Wow. o_o

"Um... hi." she says back to Ronin. "I'm Kiana, and that's Solaris....my brother.". Damnit, she said it. They're related. >>

Meanwhile, Solaris, trying his very best to ignore Tyyne's nearness, keeps his attention on Sachiya.

"Sachiya... cool name!"

Ok, so he's not the master of conversation starters. Shhhh.

XBear
Once Tourmaline was unravelled, X watched the older children and yawned, having expected this for the most part. If one would be looking, they would have noticed that this woman was definately not of any blood relation whatsoever to this child.

Narrowing her eyes at the little creature, the daywalker kept a keen eye on it as it chirpped up to Tourma, who seemed to definately be enjoying the little animal.

"Fluff~!" She exclaimed, petting the little animal almost immediately. Maybe she should have brought her pegasus to show off too?

Lenachan358
Tyyne saw how the girl reacted to her brother and looked away. She knew that she wasn't good with people. She never had been. Her golden eyes looked at the toddler and a slight smile crossed her lips. How cute. Perhaps the toddler would like her ?

"Hey, little one." She said as she kneeled down to look at Tourmaline.

Damnit, what was his sister doing ? He didn't intend to talk to all the younger ones. Really, he had just wanted to help her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mylady." Ronin said to Kiana and nodded at Solaris. He seemed to have problems with girls. Strange.

"Is something special going on here or why are so many people at this...clinic ?" He addressed everyone in the room.

Kaioto_Katsuma

Kiana replies to Ronin's question even thought it wasn't specifically directed to her. "Well, um, we're here 'cause our mom is shopping."

Ok, it didn't explain much, especially since he seemed confused at it specifically being a clinic.

"Um... people come here to, er... meet other people?"

And now it sounded like a dating service. XD Oh well, good enough.

Chibi Sheepcat
Sachiya beamed when Solaris said his name was cool, quite pleased by the compliment. Of course he had a cool name! Du-uh! "I like your name too." After all, it was only fair to return compliments. Besides, Solaris was kind of a cool name too. His ear flicked in the direction of Ronin when the boy spoke, but as he wasn't balancing penguins on his head or something cool like that, he kept his focus on Solaris. "D'you come here lots?" He asked, flopping down next to the boy. He'd let the "Kiana" person deal with everyone else. He wasn't too good at multitasking conversations anyways.

Fwee! He was getting petted! Okita puffed himself up, rubbing against Tourmaline's hand lovingly. He liked being petted. Hopping up neatly onto her lap, he gave her hair a good sniff, as though deciding whether or not it was edible. Probably not. Oh well. It was still cool.

XBear
If her granddaughter hadn't been there, X would have surely lit up a cigarette and started smoking just to clear out a good chunk of the children here. Fortunately for all here, X didn't really want to deal with Slush's tantrum when he found out, and she wouldn't smoke in front of her family's children anyways. Other people's children however...

Tourmaline blinked up at the blonde haired girl, staring at her for a moment. Had she just called her little? Little?! Narrowing her eyes at the other girl, who probably could never take apart a toaster or do anything cool like that, the toddler scoffed softly, "Not little. I stronger than everyone!"

X raised her eyebrow at her granddaughter, "What about Babcia Sandia?"

"Everyone but Babcia~!" She corrected, nodding promptly to all who were listening to her while she continued to pet the idle thought since it had invited itself into her lap already.

Kaioto_Katsuma
"Thanks!" replies Solaris before adding "Um... no, not really. Just every once in a while, if we're around and there's nothing better to do." He shrugs. "How 'bout you? I've never seen you here before, I don't think."

Lenachan358
Tyyne blinked as she looked at the girl. Wow, even this one was more confident than she was. She was pretty sure that she was also able to swim and Ty was the only one that couldn't. Perhaps she should wish to get more confident for Christmas.

" Oh sorry, of course. Who is Babcia ?" She asked politely as if the girl was just in her age.

Ronin tried to get the information in the meantime. So people came here to meet ? A bit like the simulacra headquarter. Sounded strange though to meet inside a clinic. Perhaps all of these people were sick ? Nah...that wasn't a nice thought.

"We were about to shop for Christmas too." He answered as he looked at the boys. They seemed to get along quite well. "So I guess you two are twins ? Your looks are similar." Ronin smiled.

Kaioto_Katsuma
Kiana nods. "Well, not that similar, I don't think... but yeah, we're twins." she replies.

Then, in response to Ronin's first comment, she adds "It was my mom's idea. I hadn't even thought of Christmas shopping yet." Not that she really had a lot of people to get gifts for, but still, it hadn't even crossed her mind until Kaioto mentioned coming here today.

XBear
"Babcia." Tourmaline repeated, pointing to X as if it should be common knowledge, "Duh."

X had to keep from laughing, "Babcia is 'grandmother' in Polish..." Pausing, the daywalker's grin grew a bit more, "For obvious reasons, I'd rather not be refered to as 'Grandma.'"

The toddler simply continued to pet the little creature as she watched the other girl. She was sure that this one wasn't a fun with nuts and bolts kind of girl.

Lenachan358
"Thanks for the explaination, Miss." Tyyne said quite relieved that she wasn't as stupid as she thought. "I thought you were her mother. You don't really look like a grandma." Such people had gray hair and baked cookies. She knew that from TV.

"Sure, not that similar of course." Ronin chuckled and nodded slightly as he sat down beside Kiana. "Do you have any special Christmas wishes ?

XBear
"That's because I'm a vampire, and I don't age like humans do." The daywalker grinned toothily, as if to prove her statement true to the little girl. "She's my son and his husband's daughter."

Tourma simply continued to watch the girl warily, as if not sure she should trust the blonde quite yet.

Kaioto_Katsuma
Kiana smiles. She likes this guy, he's not the kind to go on and on about 'what precious little twins they are', something she hears a bit too often. Comes with the territory of being a twin, she supposes.

"Special Christmas wish?" she repeats, mostly to herself. "I guess I haven't really thought of it..."

Then again...

"I guess I'd really want my own room. Ours is getting kind of crowded." she responds, finally. It was true, and Solaris would certainly agree. They were long overdue for seperate rooms, but Kaioto never seemed to have the time to take on such a large personal project.

"What about you? Anything you really want?" she asks.

Lenachan358
"Vampire ?" Tyyne shivered as she heard the word and looked at the woman quite frightened. Now she really wanted to run away...but...wait..."I know a girl who has bat features. That's not the same isn't it ?" Probably it was, hopefully it was.

As suddenly an idea struck her she moved towards one of her shopping bags and pulled out a candycane. "Is she allowed to eat this already ?"

Ronin smiled politely. "I can understand. Gladly our house is big enough, so everyone has his own room." Although I'll probably move out soon, he thought. His own very special wish was something he hadn't told anyone about it yet. "I...want a horse."

XBear

The daywalker grinned when the little girl looked almost terrified of her, but once the 'bat features' were mentioned, a frown quickly replaced her smile. "Vampires do not turn into bats." Sneering somewhat, the vampire coughed somewhat when Tourmaline looked up at her curiously, regaining her composure.

Damn, she really wanted a cigarette right about now.

Kaioto_Katsuma
"Oh, our home is big enough. Our mom's just really busy." She replies. "I'm gonna put it on my Christmas list though, then maybe I'll get my own!"

"A horse?" she questions. Now that was something she had a lot of. "We've got a whole stable of them! Maybe you could, er, come visit sometime and I can show you?"

Ok, so they're not exactly horses, seeing as some of them have wings, but close enough. Besides, it's nice to have something to show off to someone.

Lenachan358
"They don't ?" See, now the TV wasn't always telling the truth. "I didn't know that. So...err...you don't drink blood, do you ?" Tyyne shivered a bit as she offered the candy cane to Tourmaline.

Now he felt strange. Somehow he wanted to scream YEAH SHOW ME, whereas his pride had problems with talking like this to a girl, who was younger. Obviously. But they had horses. "Oh really ? You know, I really adore them." Ronin added as he smiled at Kiana. "Would be great."

XBear
"They don't. And yes, I do." X seemed to find this absolutely amusing, and grinned once more, "But alas, I haven't had time to hunt lately." She said sadly, putting a hand to her heart as she nodded to Tourma, who was eyeing the candy cane suspiciously, "It's okay Sandia."

Reaching out, the SM toddler took the candy cane and smiled somewhat, "Thank you." she replied, holding the candy carefully.

Lenachan358

"Erm...oh..." Tyyne looked at her wrist although no watch was attached to it. "I...we...it's late. We need to go. See you miss, see you...strong one." The Eden girl got up as quickly as possible.

Ronin was startled as Tyyne pulled at his sleeve. "We need to go. Need to go." She mumbled and he was just able to wave to Kiana as he was dragged out of the clinic.

The character Kendall Kitsune belongs to karma_k and is a GMFC baby. We did this rp informally, so I depicted it from Ronin's point of view

The monitor was slightly glowing and shined onto Ronin's pale face as he was staring at a certain advertisement again.

"18-year-old male seeking roommate in Barton Area." The teenager mumbled and moved one finger across his chin as he used to do quite often now when he was thinking. Should he really do it ? What if there was again someone strange on the other line or it just didn't work out. Ronin wasn't too fond of disappointments and it was quite obvious to him that he'd stop to think about the whole moving business if the next try would be worthless. So he had to choose wisely.

Everything sounded sensible in there. Well, he had learned that people weren't always stating the truth, but if it was right that this boy was at least his age, he was content for a bit. Now he just needed the courage to ring him. There was the telephone number...

Come on Ronin, knights and every good guy in the world is able to ask someone about moving in per telephone. Everyone is able to do this.

He sighed and dialed the number which had been scribbled on a notepad just a few days ago, when he had spotted the ad at first. A pencil was peacefully arranged next to it.

Alright...the line was free, now the other one just had to...

"H'lo...?"

"Hello. I'm...calling about the ad on craigslist? For a roommate? Is this Kendall Kitsune?"

"Yeah. Um...I just took that ad down, actually. Because apparantly nobody can read."

"Oh." Ronin blinked several times, repeating the word s**t in his mind over and over again before pushing himself to be polite. "So its been filled then?"

"No. It hasn't been filled. And its because I don't want to live with any crazy people or people twice my age." A grumbling voice echoed out of the telephone receiver.

"You're eighteen, right? I'm the same. My name is Ronin."

"Mnh..."

This one didn't make it easy for him. He didn't like to be the one talking so much. "And...sorry, I'm reading off of the ad. I can provide half of the rent and I don't mind buying my own groceries. Am I missing something?"

"And it'd just be you, right? No kids, no pets..."

"No. Just me."

"What about video games? Do you like video games??" The voice sounded quite excited about this question.

"I...once played the Legend of Zelda..." Ronin paused again. If the other one seemed so excited this probably was a bad sign and....

"....oh god, dude, seriously? You're my age, you can pay half the rent, AND you don't mind video games? Hang on a sec..." Ronin was able to hear that something covered the telephone for a moment and a faint voice could be heard. Damnit, was he laughing now ? "Anyway, just the Legend of Zelda? Don't worry, I'm bringing my PS2, my X-box, and all my NES systems. We'll get you hooked up."

"Sure, why not ? Do you have any game about knights and such ? Saving princesses and so on ?" Phew, he was interested.

"Let's see....I got....MorrowWind where you can be a knight and run around to different villages fighting bandits and doing stuff for people....I got Gauntlet, I got Midevil, I got Fable...."

"There are SO MANY games about knights ?" Ronin blinked in surprise and now finally got settled with the idea of getting along with Kendall. "When can I move in?"

"Heh. I've still got to send an application to the Oakridge complex down the street. I didn't want to do it until I had a roommate, but mom already said she'd be a reference and I've got enough in the bank for the first month and a security deposit, so we should be good to go"

"Awesome, sounds great. Just one thing....How are you dealing with the prince-...ladies ? You're not one of these guys making them sad, right ? I can't stand seeing this. No dealing with sad women anymore." Thinking about Rora and Kami for a moment Ronin hoped that Kendall would answer correctly. He didn't want trouble, he wanted peace.

"Um...I've never had a girlfriend if that's what you're asking. Just my twin sister Raven."

"Well....I haven't either. Just problems. I can understand the sibling fact though. My older sister is trying to control me, because she wants me to go the 'right way'. She doesn't mean it badly...but...yeah...you know" Ronin sighed.

"Well, don't worry about it." Ken assured. "It'll just be us, I'm pretty sure. No sad girls, no annoying sisters. And if one of us gets a girlfriend somewhere along the line, its a two bedroom apartment so its not like privacy's gonna be an issue."

"Sounds like a deal to me. Now I just need to tell my mother somehow...don't worry, it'll be alright." A nervous laugh escaped his lips as he thought about the scene which was awaiting him very soon. "So...Kendall, right ?"

"Yup. And you're....Ronin? Think I got that right... My mom'll probably be happy to get me out of the house as long as she knows I'm within driving distance."

Ronin noted the name and the telephone number again just to be sure. "Yes, very right. Anything else I need to know ?"

"Um...can't think of anything. We should probably have a face-to-face meeting or something someplace before we set anything in stone, though. Just to make sure we're cool with each other. We could grab lunch or something."

"Would probably be nice. You know, I answered to another ad and there was this guy, who had piercings everywhere and smoked strange stuff when we met....you don't smoke, do you ?" Ronin remembered this just too clearly and a meeting was a very formal and nice thing to do.

"Nah....no piercings or tattoos either. Mom'd throw a fit. I'm not gonna pay some guy eighty bucks to sit there and stab me with a needle for an hour for something I'm probably going to regret by the time I'm thirty anyway."

"You sound sensible. I think we'll get along. Although my sister has tattoos. But since birth, somehow strange. Oh yeah...just so you know, I was born from a teapot."

"That's okay....one of my brothers was born from a leaf, another one materialized out of nowhere one night on mom's bedroom floor. Gaia's weird like that."

"You have a leaf sibling too?!" Ronin declared in shock. "Damn it and I thought only my mother was infected with this shop. Alright, now I really know you'll understand me."

"Cool! When's a good time for you to meet up?" Kendall asked.

"Whenever you wish, I don't have anything to do lately. How about erm....just pick a date." Now that everything seemed to went so smoothly, Ronin wasn't in to pick the wrong date. After all it was polite to let the other one choose.

"How about tomorrow afternoon? That's when I get off of work. Its that GameCrazy store down by the mall...there's an Olive Garden right next door we could go to."

Ronin noted the information neatly onto his notepad and smiled. "Awesome, I'll be there. I'll get into the gameshop, so I can look at the games you were talking about. Got me interested, really."

"Cool. I'll either be the guy with black hair behind the counter, or the guy with black hair on my knees trying to reorganize the display somebody's kid knocked over. Depends on how busy of a day it is. See you there."

"Alright, see you. I'll just ask for the guy with the black hair. I'm the one carrying a sword."

Finished ! Ronin ended the conversation and put the phone on the table staring at the notepad. He had done it. Really. Just now he was supposed to move out.

What kind of adventures awaited him and how would he survive the wrath of the huge dra - erm...mother.

Christmas Joy...

Nobody could tell him that it was a bad idea. Really. He had written down pro's and contra's and had thought about for days. Ronin had meditated, played his flute and all the time he had thought about moving out. Of course it wasn't because he didn't like his family, never. But somehow it didn't feel right when he was used to do what his mother and what Kyoko told him. Especially not if you were having dreams about a certain girl, which caused your boxershorts to...well.

So moving out was a very good idea in Ronin's point of view and shortly after the phone call he sneaked out of his room and slowly went down the stairs as the overwhelming smell of cookies hit him.

Kyoko was staring at the piece dough in front of her as her pale hands slowly moved towards it to knead it. There were already some Christmas cookies inside the oven and Tyyne was sitting at the kitchen table as she busily cutted out trees and santa's out of the dough. Indeed Kyoko hadn't believed that Tyyne was such a good company, but she was quite and did what her older sister told her.

Lena was busily decorating the living room and had enough to do to keep the younger family members from eating the decoration or hiding it.

So Kyoko had taken charge of the cookie duty and really enjoyed the baking. She could make sure that the ingredients were healthy and it was obvious that the cookies would be fabulous. Tyyne just made red and yellow dots on the green painted Christmas tree cookie as Ronin entered the kitchen.

"Hey Mo -"

He stopped and blinked as the teenager just recognised his two sisters busily creating cookies. Damnit, now he was trapped.

Kyoko looked up from her masterpiece of dough and glanced at her brother. "Hello Ronin. You're just coming at the right time, could you get the cookies out of the oven ?" The black-haired girl asked and turned her attention back to the dough in front of her.

Tyyne just waved at the brother and smiled slightly before turning back to paint the cookies with sugar icing.

"Actually I wanted to talk to mom." Ronin said and was about to turn around at two eyes glared at him with disgust. "RONIN !" Kyoko growled and pointed at the oven. "That's not very polite of you." She whispered angrily. Within the last weeks he had been just too rebellious for her likings and did things that weren't good for him.

The brother frowned and quickly moved towards the oven, put on some gloves and pulled out the steel plate before hitting the desk hardly with it. Tyyne whinced slightly and accidently coloured Rudolph's nose green as she looked at Ronin with fear. He usually wasn't angry, he was polite and calm and...

"I'm not your SLAVE." He pronounced very slowly and clenched his right fist in anger. Kyoko didn't seem to be impressed at all and just turned around, hands pushed into her hips as she glared at him. It would have looked quite amusing because of her apron, but the seriousity she carried on her face dissolved this thoughts quickly.

"I'm just asking you for a favour and you yell at me and scare Tyyne." Kyoko growled and her eyes sparkled in a mixture of pain and anger. How could he dare ? He was her little brother, she took care of him, she was his.

"NO !" Ronin shouted and had to keep himself from hitting something. Control, Ronin, control...control...

"I'll be moving out, alright. So you can't get on my nerves anymore. Tomorrow I'll go and meet a nice guy called Kendall and then we'll move in together and play videogames and your stupid cookies...are not of my interest anylonger !" He swirled around as he suddenly spotted a very familiar face in front of him. In fact it was Lena's face...

Oh oh...

Christmas Joy...

"So you want to move out ?" Ronin looked at the cup of tea in front of him and winced slightly as he heard his mother's voice. Yes, he wanted to. But was he able to say so ?

Usually he would have reminded himself of Dad now and that men fought through adventures and he would have said yes easily. But dad was gone and didn't care about him and was a coward, a b*****d and that didn't make things easier. He had left them all alone, because of his problems and now...now he was alone here.

"Why, Ronin ?" Lena asked as she looked into her son's blue eyes. He really had grown since the trip and seemed much more mature and serious than he had always been. But why did he intend to go ?

The mother knew that it had been awfully hard when Ray had left the family, especially for Ronin, but that couldn't be the reason. In fact she feared that it was because of Kyoko. She had noticed that he siblings who had gotten along so well had quarreled a lot. Or was it because of her ? Because she had too many children and not enough time for each one ? She tried, tried really hard.

"Come on Ronin, tell me why." Lena asked her son once again and as he sighed, she knew he would tell her.

"It's not because of you. It's...because...I need to be free. Somehow." Ronin didn't want to accuse his sister. He didn't dare and he didn't want to do so. It just didn't seem right to him. "I called this guy called Kendall. I will meet him tomorrow. He seemed alright." The teen kept on talking and Lena listened.

"So how do you want to pay ?" The mother asked finally, trying to push down the urge to scream at Ronin that he's far too young for such stuff.

"I th-thought I could get my pocketmoney and you could give me the rest you usually pay for my food and so on ?" Ronin looked a bit helplessly at his mother, who started to laugh out of sudden. "Oh no Ronin, no. If you want to be grown-up and want to move out, you have to look for a job as well."

"Job ?" Scratching his head Ronin grinned slightly. Damn, he hadn't thought about this one. Really hadn't.

Phew...

I guess Kyoko really hates me now. She doesn't talk to me for a week yet and it really hurts me somehow. She's my sister after all and that I'll move out doesn't mean that I don't like her. I just want to be independant.

Mom told me to get a job and I did some research and even found a place at Barton Stables. I can start there after Christmas and I will deal with horses of all kinds. Perhaps it seems girly, but I really like these animals.
I'll have to work quite hard, but that's men's work and I'll do it with pleasure.

We agreed that I'll stay at home until next year so we can celebrate Christmas together. That's fine with me, because I don't have any friends to celebrate with. Alright, probably a little girl I talked to about horses. Great for a young male, huh ?

Anyway I thought about getting a beard now. There are some stubbles at my chin and I really think it will look more mature and much better. Yeah that will be awesome. Probably Rora will like me then...or any other girl, I don't know.

We will see.
