I would not be they type to let my kids do whatever they want. I'm one of those people who believe in waiting until marriage to have sex and all that. But if I found that my daughter was reading yaoi I wouldn't be mad at her because that would make me a hypocrite. So yeah, as long as no blurred reality lines occour, and she realizes that that's not what real men are like(lest she startes wanting them) then I would be fine with it.

k, I have four ><
First I had a really really graphic yaoi manga sitting on my basement table, the type without the removable and my mom saw the rating and the warning label (damn those things) and so my mom asked me about it, I simply arched an eyebrow "oh, that? It's just has religion and extremely gory pics." My mom just gave me a wierd look so I went and snatched it before taking off ><
Then I had my dad go up to the cashier and buy me yaoi manga, cuz I had no money... The cashier just stared at him wide eyed before scanning the mangas and so my dad wanted to look inside! I quickly grabbed at them saying "No one reads my manga before me!" sweatdrop Which made the chashier crack up ><
I was reading a yaoi manga in class and kids started taking the cover and looking at the art >< Thankfully they kept skipping over it the hard core sceen and then my teacher took the manga and gave in depth look over at it -_- I was blushing horribly and I could feel my heart pounding... Then she just hands it to me "You can only read it today..." And smiled at me before sending me back to my desk
The last one is because of my wall dedicated to yaoi >< I have picture and picture completely covering my wall in yaoi and I told my mom that all the ukes were chicks, so she was fine with it... Then my friend comes over and screatches "dude, all of those are dudes!" just cuz she wanted to gauge my mom's reaction... she just laughs saying told ya so and I just said that I still love the art ><

I hate when I'm broke it only means that my parents has to touch the yaoi I read. :sigh: well anyways my friends,... well my church friends now knows I like Yaoi. There is this one in my group that loves sasuke and I love sasuke to so we always fight about that.. lol.. than one day I said i loved naruto to. And than she said "Shame on you" because i was supposed to like sasuke. Oh and after an anime meeting for our school club my other friend had her laptop. we were looking at sasunaru pics but not that graphic only kissing kind. Than the friend who really like sasuke cam over and looked at what we were looking at. She just said "Ewww my virgin eyes. Shame on you what the hell... why are you looking at that" I just smiled and said "It's so kawaiii" and all she did was left. sigh.. why cant they understand the adorableness. lol yaoi forever

I don't think I'll ever tell my parents about it, it would be DREADFUL if they saw my fanfics I'm writing all the time burning_eyes

Nanari Uchiha Chieira One time, when I was still living at home, my stepmom came into my room and picked up my Gravitation manga. She opened it to one of the first pages, which had something with Shuichi sitting on Yuki's back yelling, "So this is what it's like to be on top!" I kind of snatched it away and made up some excuse about not liking anyone touching my manga. Later she ended up reading my LJ and finding out I was into yaoi anyway. I got a long lecture (damning Bible verses included), and was sent to a Christian counselor until I moved out of the house at 18. Now, my sister knows, but she's fine with it. She even let me stash my yaoi stuff in her closet when our parents came to visit us at our apartment. And my new roommate is into yaoi, too, so it's no big deal for her. It's funny, really... I live in the Honors dorm on my college campus, and probably at least half the residents of this dorm are either into yaoi or are not at all bothered by it, including the two male residents (it's a co-ed dorm). If you're parents busted out the bible, I wonder what mines would do. eek Well was in the living while reading that and I bust laughing on the part where you put "So this is what it's like to be on the top!" lol Well I was laughing and my mom and dad was watching tv in the living room so they were oddly looking at me. They wanted to see what I was laughing at on my comp so I kinda tried to X out the screen before my they get all nosy and read all your guys story. So i was successful. hehe. WEll anyways that was funny but the bible thing scared me. NOw I have to HIDE my yaoi good. I dont' want to go to Bible study or any counseling. wow I'm scared crying blaugh Same, i was stupid enough to admit to my parents that i'm atheist, and their first reaction was "convert!" i shudder to think of what my dad would do *curls up in corner and starts rocking back and forth* here is mine: I don't know how, but somehow i was talking about Yaoi to my dad, and since he finally asked me what it ment [previously], he got mad. "Wow, i've done a good job of raising my teenage daughter, she's reading up about gay men screwing each other" and i was like "i don't read that i only read fluff, g rated stuff". BTY, that is a total lie, i go to Adult Fanfiction sometimes, and i like r rated fanart... i hate it when you can hear your parents coming but the window won't close fast enough... but, yeah, what my dad said was totally homophobic... i really hope he never finds out that i like Yuri too, or my life will become a living hell. I can def. emphasize with all of you. my friends all know, and they really don't care; well some of them the yuri but...

and my dad comes over and says really i wanna see !!!
, i told her it was a girl and a boy, same with gravitation.......and fake.........and everyother yaoi i have. but my dad always wants to see my books now.....b/c they contain graphic images of nakedness and such.......embarrasing

KusariNeco this is kinda funny actually, my parents are a bit strict so they look through every book i buy, when i bought only the ring finger knows, my mom looked through it and almost died, she said is that two guys doind eachother !? and my dad comes over and says really i wanna see !!! , i told her it was a girl and a boy, same with gravitation.......and fake.........and everyother yaoi i have. but my dad always wants to see my books now.....b/c they contain graphic images of nakedness and such.......embarrasing my dad doesn't go through my stuff but when I ask him to buy a book for me because i'm out of money than that's when he just skim through it. But he never did witness a part where they're doin each other. hehe. I read only the ring finger knows and i don't recall a sex scene. I mean in the manga there's kissing here and there but not full on.. well in the novel there's like a little when he's in bed but not to graphic boohoo. well anyways I love that book heh

xd Time for some story telling... though these happened before my Yaoi addiction... because I actually started on Lotr slash fiction. (blame Legolas!)
First thing- I got stern lecture from my mom when I was 14, because she saw some of my scanned art on the computer. It was 4 pics, all naked men (not with each other, and no bits showing, but still provocative). She told me that I shouldn't be drawing like that, and that I could draw "sexy" without nudity. So, from that moment I put all that art on super-stealth. ^_^
Anyways, my first manga purchase (around the same time as above) was Ranma 1/2, and being a fool, I was reading it in the living room and I think it was my little sister who looked over my shoulders and said, "...boobs?" (Ranma has alot of those, which I didn't know at the time o_o) And my dad went, "What?" And I had to hastily explain that they weren't naked and make a full retreat. So from that experience, I keep my manga addiction on the downlow as well.
So, currently at 17, I have all the stealth down to a science. My manga is all bought with my own money and tucked safely under my bed (along with some of my art). Anything graphic on the computer gets deleted after I save it as an email draft, and I clear my internet history religiously.

^^ all things graphic on my comp is saved into my account and can't be accessed outside the account, I have a password that can't be hacked by anyone in my family (41 letters long ^^ wink All downloading is done at an ungodly hour and all art is drawn at a pg13 level >< I probably would die from a nosebleed if I drew any level higher -_- and all my fanfictions are written in a notebook, quickly transfered to the comp, saved on the internet, then deleted out of comp just in case and the notebook is religously cleared >< only took me a month to get used to it! w00t! 'tis fast for me>< =_=

XD but, this one time I got an M rated manga (it wasn't yaoi), and it was REALLY bloody =D, so like anyways, she looks at it and she's like... ._. XD so, I was hoping that that had turned her off to checking anything I was to buy, but noooooo ;-; but, I turned 16 and bought the first volume of gravi with some of my B-day money, and she was like, standing RIGHT THERE, so I'm like *ninja* GRAB, RUN, PAY, BAG, RUN TO CAR! xd I've noticed that we yaoi fans must be very ninja like, eh? I can tell the difference between my mom's and dad's footsteps on /carpet/ XD

rofl XD I went made with the power today and bought a 300 something paged yaoi manga and another like 200 something paged one XD my mom was like O.o ZOMG, wtf did you buy? The cover had something really graphic on the front and I was like ^^ nothing, nothing at all >< my sister was with me and she covered for me, saying "don't worry".... I think my mom bought me manga for christmas because she was determined to see the cover of what I bought, but eventually she forgot about it so I got away with yet another incident ><

I keep my yaoi manga hidden for the most part... it's the posters that probably give it away. XD I think I have one or two posters that have women in them. The rest are guys.
Now, if either parent were to go into my closet now, the three page pullout from Newtype/NOV would DEFINITELY be a giveaway. XD;
