Valelldia leaned down and examined the jewels on the sandals, then put a hand over them, waiting to see if a feeling spiked out at her.
"Well, it's good of you to check... but it seems like they're fine. I'd say you can give them to your daughter without worry. ...And yes, I've heard of the wave of Banya fortunes. ...What did yours say, praytell?"

"Dancing, Dancing..." She recalled easily, "No danger for the dancing girl." She shrugged and bit her lip, "It doesn't make much sense for Anezka...so...I'm confused...that's why I came to you to also find a way to protect her. I was hoping that maybe the sandals could do something. Maybe guard her steps and keep her from harm."

"Well, I'm sorry to say they don't have much magical properties to them... but if any fae decide to play tricks on us in the forest, I reckon she'll be safer than most. And dancing?" Valelldia paused, deep in thought. "Honestly, I know as much as you do. But doesn't your Banya often give rather straightforward fortunes? ...So I suppose you tell your daughter that, come a dangerous time, she dance it off?"

Aneka's ear twitched and she tilted her head, "Isn't it normally more smart to run from danger? Not dance around?" She looked back and forth between Val and Shy, then shrugged "You are right, Val, my banya is always straight forward with her predictions...so...I guess all I can do is take your advice..." She sighed and then stood up, "Thank you...I guess that's all you can for us right now." Anezka took the sandals from the table, put them on and began to lace them up her leg, "I don't know how to dance, though, Val...not any good, anyways."

"Well, Ane," Val said sweetly, giving the beloved little girl a smile, "I don't think it's something the meij will demand of you always. But the warning will likely make sense... when the time comes."

Finishing with her sandals, Anezka smiled and stood up, nodding and leaning to give Val a hug. "Thank you, Val..." She said politely. Leshya'e smiled at Valelldia and then took Anezka's hand, walking out of Whistle Sticks and heading back to Varekai.

Heather skipped to Vals caravan in a rather lively mood. She knocked on the door adn hoped that the gypsy was in. There was something that was needed to be asked.

Val was pleased to see that the person on the other side of WhistleStick's door was a lively, energetic Heather. Too often, those within her care came to her with long, drawn faces, and the meij on their minds. It was a nice departure.
"Heather! How nice to see you. Please, come in." The gypsy stood back to give the woman room, then indicated a soft bench covered in cushions. She herself sat behind her boon table- an automatic gesture.
"And to what do I owe this pleasure today?"

Heather smiled and walked into the caravan, "Its nice to see you to!" She went in and sat down before fumbling around in her waist purse.
"I just wanted to ask a small question. When we were in the town an old woman gave me this." She pulled out the little bottle of diamond dust and showed it to Val, "Does it have any properties or anything to it? I was just curious to what its for...Mainly coz I nearly threw it at Kala the other day and then realised it could be valuable!" She let out a small chuckle as she spoke about throwing it at Kala, it was becoming a normal things for the cat to have water thrown at her and all sorts. She behaved for a bit when wet.

"May I?" Valelldia reached out and took the delicate decanter from Heather. She turned it sideways in her hands, marvelling on the sheer luminescence of it, and its powder within.
"Well, the little vial itself is made of diamond-glass. Spun, probably. Valuable in itself. But I don't think it has any magical properties." Then, she pulled the diamond stopper from its neck and examined the insides with a trained eye. Almost immediately, a flash that would have been imperceptible to Heather caught Valelldia's eye and she smiled, putting the stopper back in its place.
"Well, the dust is most certainly enchanted. And its seems 100% pure, as well- no grey magic here. What it does- I don't quite know, yet. I'm not very well-versed in jewelry magic. But I will study on it, and also, we should keep a look out for jewelers- specifically gypsy jewelers, who might be able the question of what the enchantment is."

"Pure magic?" Heather smiled, if it wan't bad maybe if it came to it she could stop Amkia from falling, if her were the one to fall. "Oh wow, I didnt realise I had something so powerful."
She looked a little awkward for a second and then looked at Val, one other question, just quickly. "The mermaid pearls you originally gave me, when I joined the caravans. Do they just create light? Just I was curious because with amkia around most of the time he creates enough light on his own, so I was wondering whether thats all they did."

"They also create fire," Valelldia said, remembering the mermaid pearls that had been her mothers, and that she had passed on to this woman. "If you throw one to the ground, a tunnel of fire will burst into the air in a furious tunnel, echoing to the sky. And they can create the illusion of a second moon. Once, my mother used the illusion to not only create the light to escape the salt mines, but also to frighten away the heypilks who live there- they were so startled by the magical display that they left us be."

After the wagon ordering ceremony Silver could be seen quickly leaving Weathered Melody, scrying bowl in one hand and Khevashi in the opposite arm. She made a beeline for Whistle Stick and gently knocked on Val's door. "Val? I... I've brought my scrying bowl... a-as you requested." She didn't want to say anything else until she saw the other woman face to face. The truth was, she was worried for the wagon mother, yet again. She, like so many who dealt with the meij on a daily basis, seemed plagued with more sorrows than any one person should have to endure, especially after tonight's ceremony. The children had grown, yes, but it was no joyous occasion. The childre - Aisrhan. Silver suddenly realized she hadn't seen her daughter since before the Banya incident. She instantly resolved not to panic. One more thing to bother Valelldia with... she thought, and sighed. Aisrhan, you'd better be alright. She waited anxiously for Valelldia to open the door.

The door swung open, and in the shadows, Valelldia waited. Her eyes shone out of the black, mirroring the glimmer of the three candles inside- dim bursts of light in an otherwise visionless interior.
"Come in, sister. Thank you for coming." She moved aside to allow Silver entrance. Only then did she see the crow-winged baby at her side. "Would you like something to entertain him while we... well. While we work?"
