Dante flinched when he was hit with the claws, he wasn't expecting him to catch up so easily. He looked back at Ryo and thought about what would be the best option to continue. The cannons or the blades would work well. he thought about what he should do and shrugged, slamming his controls forward. He knew one thing though and that was, he would have to time it better to get him with those claws again. He hit mach 2 in no time and spun his Zoid back around.
As he approached Ryo he zeroed in on the Zoid with his cannons and let them loose on a strafing run. He pulled up on the controls to get the bullets there faster and to also make sure he wouldn't be close enough for a claw attack. Once he bullets ended he spun over to his right side to get away and get ready for his next round of attacks. This was going to be a hard battle, they were of almost equal strength and he hoped that last strike would be a really strong one.

55 + 85 = 140 - 95 = 45, 205 - 45 = 160 new hp, well that sucked hardcore >.<

::Clenching his jaw, Ryo did his best to deke and dodge Dante's cannons, and was for the most part sucessful, aside from the meager shot that landed on the left hind leg of the zoid. The damage was minimal, and the battle would continue. With a smirk, Ryo had a few options here. As he was running away from Dante, the situation perfectly set him up to use the Electro-magnetic netgun, use his Vulcan, or once again the SLC which would be quite a bit trickier, since Dante had increased speed. With a quick decision, the claws of the Shadow Fox began to glow once again. As Dante was just about to pass overhead, Ryo brought the Fox into the air, swiping at the underbelly of the zoid with the charged claws. The Fox landed on all fours and began to rapidly sprint in the other direction.::

(Phew that was close, that would have really hurt >.<)
As Dante spun his Zoid around he noticed that Ryo missed him with his claws and smiled. That definately would have hurt if he got hit with them. He thought for a second and looked at his wings and shrugged, "Why not Aeris, lets hit him with our new toy."
He sped up even fast going 2.5 mach and flicked the switch for his wings. He aimed for the center of the Zoid turning perpendicular with the ground. this way he would cut directly across the center or the Fox and he would be gone before the Zoid could turn around and do anything. He watched his tail and Vulcan, knowing they would hurt just as much as those claws.

::Once again, the evasiveness and maneuverability proved to be the Shadow Fox's saving grace. The Severing Wing dipped low, barely nipping the midsection of the Fox. With a smirk, the damage once again was minimal. This battle was going to be tedious, but the grin on Ryo's face continued to grow. The 30mm Vulcan once again rose off the back of the zoid, Engaging all four leg anchors, the zoid came to a sudden halt. Ryo had all the crosshairs lined up and ready to go. With another smirk, he let the Vulcan go to work in a fury of shells and amunition, tracing the flight pattern of the Flying Fox.::

Eli smiled as she watched the battle, happy that her dear Ryo was so... wonderful to watch. The only other time she saw him fight, was agaisnt her. So she really didn't get the chance to see the beauty of it all.
The navy-haired girl stared in wonder as the two foxes danced.. though, the latest blow from Ryo looked like it could be fatal.

Dante tumbled as he was hit with the vulcan and crashed into the ground hard. He flipped over and over again until he skid to a stop. All his controls were proze and he slammed his fist against the panel. "DAMMIT!" They were doing so well too, and that really hit hard, he looked around, they weren't strong enough yet. He needed to get stronger and better, though that was a lucky shot he wanted to never lose. He wasn't used to losing and didn't want to get used to losing.
He looked across the panel and flipped on the comm, "Ok, I am done Ryo. Congrats, you are only the second one to beat me." He forced a smile on his face as he took the controls and slowly stood Aeris up. It took a lot of effort and will power to force her back up but before long she was up. He couldn't believe he lost, he was so pissed at himself, he slowly began walking towatds his HC. "I need to fix you up again Aeris, maybe I fought before all the repairs were done. Next time I will be more thorough and careful. Maybe this is just what we needed."

::A small smile of satisfaction played across Ryo's gentle features as the Fox plummited from the sky. With a sigh of content, the Shadow Fox trotted over to the downed zoid, nodding its head as if in respect for its downed kin. Ryo noted the small gesture, and chuckled lightly patting the controls in approval. Opening the com-link to Dante he gave the man an appreciative smile.::
That was a good battle Dante, don't get too down on yourself, I had a few strokes of luck, it wasn't a lopsided battle in anyway. Good luck to you in the future, and I'm up for a rematch whenever you're ready.
::With a nod, he closed the com to Dante, and opened up a new channel to Eli on the Hover Cargo. He smiled brightly, eyes twinkling softly behind his spectacles.::
I'd like to see you sometime if you want... like a date? If you want that is.... heh.
::A small rose blush came upon his face as he ran through his nervous manner of closing his eyes and scratching his hair. He smiled, took a breath and calmed himself.::
So whatya say? I'd be honored if you joined me to dine tomorrow night.

At the sight of the Flying Fox's fall, Eli couldn't help but to jump in the air and cheer. She was so happy, so proud of her dear Ryo's triumph. He avenged me! Well.. not sure if he won for me.. probaly for his own agenda.. but still.. She couldn't help but grin and yell.
After finally calming down and catching her breath, a large visual of Ryo's magnificent features appeared on screen. His beautiful emerald eyes pressed Eli to swoon, but she didn't.. for she was so intently listening to what he just said.
"A d-date?" It was a wish come true, he was asking her out! "S-Sure, I would l-love to." Ryo's blush brought on one for Eli, well, added to the already flustered cheeks of hers.

::Ah the wonders of love. HIs heart beat a little faster, a bead of sweat from both his nervousness and the battle trickled down the side of his temple. With a big grin he smiled and closed his eyes. As of late, everything was going amazingly well, with this to top it off his life couldn't get any better. He was on the top of the world, and it seemed as though nothing could bring him down from his mountain of joy. ::
Alrighty then! Tommorow, I'll pick you up around eight 'o clock if thats okay?
::He wanted to pop the top off of the Fox and do a little jig right on the spot. Euphoria was just setting in.::

Dante pet his panel coaxing Aeris into the HC and hopped out. If he knew what was going on he would be very happy he was oblivious to the mushy stuff that was occuring on his bridge. HE looked over Aeris and shook his head, "Damn Aeris, I can't believe we lost this one. We were doing so well." He started up a diagnostic on her as he grabbed his tools and some parts. He seemed to love getting his hydrolics all screwed up, and went through Aeris much more thoroughly this time. "Don't worry though Aeris, I am going to fix you up bright as new and we will keep winning. We are going to be the best out there."
