~(A night of boredom; The thoughts of the adult child)~
Daikenkai is grumpy... Sadoko is grumpy... I might as well be grumpy too and just hang out here in the laundry room all day. I'll probably get yelled at later for tossing the laundry down to lay on but I just felt like laying on that rather than the floor.... oh well...
I wish I knew why Dai is grumpy. At least for Sadoko its obvious... her stomach is huge. If I was that fat I'd probably be bitter too... I don't want to be fat. I wonder what its like having things move around inside of you. I felt one kick the other day... only with my hand on her stomach but... to feel it... from the inside... gwa... shivers. The more I think about it the creepier it sounds... I have to just think about something else... hm...
Maybe about how they will be when they are born. I wonder what its like being a baby. I can't remember a thing... I think I was born some time during the winter. Every time I look at snow I get this wierd sensation like i've been there before or done such before... Well of course i've looked at snow but... oh forget it... I can't think of how to describe it... oh well... not like it matters anyway. I still like snow though.... except when it keeps me from going outside. Damn snowstorms....

Pregnancy is a B**** A Clinic Visit - Starts here! IC Note: Sadoko's appointment was to see if she could arrange for inducing the labor.Waddling into the building with a bit of a sour look on her face, the blimp made her way to the receptionist to sign in, then the waiting area. Her facial expression of a blatant frown had only just arrived on her face. She'd squat herself down into a seat. Yet couldn't help but bitterly think about her company for the appointment while she sat and waited.
Daikenkai had agreed to come with her to the Gaian Maternity and Fertility Clinic for a routine check-up. Then, not even a block from the office, he decided to wait the appointment out by smoking and attempting to flirt with any men nearby. Cross-dressers were almost as fickle as real women at times.
Where as the other company in the waiting room might have been polite, the blimp was not in the mood to talk. What was there to talk about anyways? The fact her stomach was large from two babies that wanted to kick their way out? The fact that they had two fathers? That fact always went over like a lead balloon, and knowing one of the fathers, he'd probably want that fact to stay secret.
Rather than start a conversation, she sighed aloud in a rather grievous manner. Almost like it was a warning as to what the next 7 or 8 months would bring these lucky ladies.
The other woman apparently having become distracted, never responded to Keeta's greeting. It was just as well, because then she wouldn't have to explain how she came to be here. After a while she managed to immerse herself in one of the magazine articles.
After a while, she saw another woman with a fairly sour expression on her face enter the room. I wonder if she's in my boat, Keeta thought wryly. She certainly didn't look happy to be there at any rate. Not inclined to talk, herself, Keeta was content to let the woman alone. Some time passed, however, and the waiting room had become deserted, but for the two of them. Keeta was wondering when they would call her and looked down at her wrist to check the time, but discovered that she had forgotten her watch on her dresser. She turned to ask the receptionist, but she had temporarily left her station. She was hesitant to ask the other woman, not really wanting to disturb her, but Keeta was worried if she didn't get in soon, she would be late for work. Tentatively, she leaned over towards her.
"Excuse me, do you have the time? I'm trying to see how much time I have before my shift starts."
In her mind, all she could think was It's too early to be up, but she fully knew she was a strange case herself. Bending her arm so that her wrist was to her face, she pulled her long sleeve down and glanced at the simple wristwatch hiding there.
"...it's 6:39, Miss." Her words seemed a bit flat as they fell out of her mouth. Yet her eyes seemed to liven up a bit. Rather than remaining staring ahead of her with anger, her brown eyes glanced to the side to take a look at the girl's face.
"You don't want to be here either, right?" Most times when she came before, she had met women who were bubbling with excitement about their little blessing. This woman was too quiet to be in that state of mind.
Keeta exhaled with relief. Her shift didn't start until 8:30. She should be able to make it. Time just must move at a snail's pace sitting in this waiting room....
At the woman's question Keeta reddened a bit and looked away a moment, before responding. She didn't want to reveal, what she felt was her shame, but maybe it would be nice to talk to someone who felt the same way about their pregnancy....
"No....not really. I didn't intend to get pregnant..." She looked back at Sadako. "But here I am. I'm Keeta by the way," she said, trying to smile.
"Sadoko," she replied, not quite seeming to take the hint to lighten up. Turning away, she pointed out part of the truth for her own: "Yeah, didn't intend it this way either... but it happened... so I'm stuck with them..."
Once more she'd sigh before flicking a few strands of her black hair out of her face. She had plans before this. She'd start off by getting her doctorate in art. That would require her to go to England for a few years, since they didn't offer doctorates of art in the area. Yet having a couple of ankle-biters wouldn't exactly work well with her. She was luckier than most though.
"You got a boyfriend?" she asked, almost seemingly disinterested. Yet with that question, she was going for the meat of the conversation. No one could accuse her of being delicate.
"Them? You're having more than one?" Keeta asked, unintentionally looking surprised. She had thought she was in trouble having one. What if she was having more than one also? Well....hopefully they'd let her know that today....
"Boyfriend? Umm...no, not exactly...." This time her face really did turn red, all the way to the tips of her slightly pointed ears.
Glancing down to the blimp that was her stomach, she nodded silently at first to the inquiry. However, she then clarified even more.
"...twins... fraternal... don't know the sexes. We're leaving that as a surprise."
Her eyes went back to the girl, who's face began to burn of a pinkish color. Yet, instead of being like some other people who had to get on their podium and lecture about how it was wrong to have sex just for having sex, she just nodded.
"...me neither. Mine's been deceased since at least a year before this..." she paused and pointed to her stomach "...ever happened." Most certainly, she would have preferred if Ari was the father. Hell, any situation would have been better than the current situation.
"Well I wish you luck in dealing with two of them at once...I don't know if I could do that. I don't know how well I'll do with one." Keeta shook her head, punctuating her statement. "I guess I have a while yet to try and figure that out."
"I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriend's passing. How did it happen, if you don't mind my asking?" She was hoping to steer the conversation away from herself. The last thing she wanted was Sadoko asking who the father actually was. It wasn't necessarily that Keeta wouldn't tell her. It was that she didn't even know. Somehow she doubted that was a problem this woman had.
It certainly wasn't something she'd go into great detail about, seeing as she still felt like it was her fault for not being able to prevent it. Yet she offered one word: "...sunlight..." That word in itself should have spoken volumes about her love interest.
For a moment, she'd lean her elbows down onto her own stomach, almost as if it was a table or something. It really was a bad habit. It was almost as bad as Chez laying on her stomach while she stood up.
"So, how old are you? If you don't mind me asking... I'm actually just a bit shy of 20 myself."
It wouldn't have been Luna's business to intrude if it weren't, well. Luna's business to intrude. But even so, she'd waited it out in her office (More like a playroom, actually), waiting to see if the situation improved without her intervention.
But tension was tension, and tension was not something she could leave alone for very long. After all, there was only so much tension a string could take before it snapped.
So she picked up a pillow; small, worn, and the embroidery fraying at the edges. And, clutching it to her chest, she walked out into the waiting room, her bare feet padding on the cold, hard floor.
"Oh....I see...." she said, surprised for the second time during the conversation. There was an awkward pause before she answered Sadoko's question, because he felt she should say more about the death of her boyfriend, but she didn't know what. Clearing her throat, she finally moved on.
"Um...I just turned 30 a couple weeks ago, but I don't feel that old. I feel like I'm practically a kid still, in some ways...."
Keeta looked over as a third person entered the room. She was holding a pillow and was barefoot. Curious, her eyes followed the woman's movement across the room.
Brown eyes flitted from the one she had been talking with to the face of someone she had only seen before. She had never really talked with her before. Offering a nod of the head in greeting, she then resumed her conversation as well as eye contact.
"I'm sure you get told you look pretty young for your age. I would have thought you were about the same age as me." Her mouth did something awkward, and it curled upwards mildly for a soft smile. She might have offered a laugh if she was more in the mood for it.
Feeling like they could pause from their current conversation, she once more acknowledged the newcomer. "Is it time for one of us to see the doctor?"
Well, they were most certainly seeing her now, weren't they? Though she wasn't a doctor, of course. But, as they say in the business, to-may-to, to-mah-to.
She slowly traced the marks that had been painted on her face, being careful not to smudge the makeup. Her brow furrowed in thought, and finally, she took the pillow she was holding and pressed it insistently into Keeta's arms.
With that task completed, she turned her attention to Sadoko. Well, she supposed, there wasn't much she could do there at this time, was there?
"Well yes, I suppose." She tucked her hair behind her ears, better revealing their pointed ends. "I think that would be my father's contribution to my genetic makeup. And that's about all he gave me..."
Keeta's expression turned to one of confusion as Luna handed her the pillow. She took it, however, and looked at the woman.
"Um...thank you? But why are you giving this to me?"
Leaning forward a bit, she took notice of the shape of this girl's ears. "I suppose that explains it quite well actually." Of course, she wasn't inclined to explain her own heritage. It wasn't something that needed to be public knowledge anyways.
Casually she'd watch the other, who apparently was not a nurse, seeing as neither one of them were being guided away to their appointment. Maybe she was a child who had been tended by the GMFC. Sadoko remembered one time she came with Daikenkai, who felt it was okay to try and fool a little boy into thinking he was a woman. This woman did seem a bit old for that, but it was possible.
"I'll take that as a no then..." she sighed as she thoughtfully glanced to a few magazines. It would be more interesting than watching some sort of silent lady and a pillow.
Not getting a response from the other woman, Keeta, still clutching the pillow, turned back to Sadoko. This place was certainly strange.
"So....I feel kind of dumb asking this, but do you know what I should expect going back there? This is my first time here and...well I'm not used to all this," she said sweeping her arm around the room. "There aren't doctors like this where I'm from. All we have are healers with herbal and sometimes magical remedies."
Leaning back a bit, her eyes went up slightly as she tried to think about when she first came by. One of the most distinct things she remembered was that there were cold hands. Certainly, the doctor tried to warm them up, but they were still too cold.
"...cold hands... expect cold hands..." she stated, not really seeming to elaborate much more than that. She paused, and returned her brown eyes to Keeta. "A healer definitely cannot check upon how well a pregnancy is going though... otherwise I would have never come here." With one friend being a healer as well, it would have just been easier to talk to her if that was the case.
Keeta was hoping for something a little more informative than cold hands, but...she'd take what she could get.
"Cold hands huh? I don't think I would have come here either," Keeta said, nodding her agreement to Sadoko's comment. She would have preferred something more familiar than this sterile environment, so far separated from nature.
"Really...I wouldn't have come anyways except that someone gave me a business card. I think they might be disappointed though." She paused a moment, looking down before continuing. "She was hoping that I would come here and that they would help me...end my pregnancy. I...I'm glad they don't do that here though. I don't think I could ever forgive myself."
Though Keeta seemed to have a problem with the word, Sadoko had no problem saying it: "Abortion. I definitely am not one to support such. What is meant to be, shall be." Her left hand strayed to her bulging stomach and settled there. "...I might not have been prepared for such, but it is my own fault in those regards."
Yes, never trust two drunk men who just want a good time. She had no excuse, seeing as she was extremely sober (such coming from her abstinence of alcoholic beverages). She shrugged at the memory, knowing there wasn't much she could do about it now.
"Either way, it is my own responsibility." Once more she glanced at some of the magazines, but this time she actually leaned forward as much as she could and picked one up. To be expected, it was a child-psychology magazine, a subject which Sadoko had been studying up on at the University.
She considered what Sadoko said for a moment. "What is meant to be shall be." So...she was meant to have this baby? It was a hard thing to get her head around, and she knew it would take a while to accept it completely. She wasn't prepared to have a child either, yet here she was. And as Sakodo said, whether Keeta liked it or not, it was her fault. She made choices that had gotten her here.
"I'm at fault as well....I can't pretend I'm innocent in my life ending up where it is right now...." She looked up and saw that Sadoko had picked up a magazine. Not wanting to be a bother, she stopped talking and waited for her name to be called.
She'd quietly flip through the pages of the magazine and find an article that looked more at how infants process various stimuli around them. Yet at this point, Keeta mentioned something and stopped. Glancing up again, she found the girl to be sitting quietly now. Glancing to the table, she saw another magazine about beginning mothers.
"...Keeta, you should think about at least taking a glimpse through that magazine while you wait. Probably some articles which may help you in the future..." With her advice offered, Sadoko went back to her own magazine. Her own choice in magazine would prove to be very interesting, but that's because some of the theories were a bit different than the theories she learned at the University.
I suppose I should just take both into account, since I don't know which is true and which is not she mused in her head.
Keeta glanced over at the magazine Sadoko was referring to. It had a picture of a smiling mother with a baby in her arms on the cover and listed articles like "Preparing For Your Arrival," and "Popular Baby Names."
"Probably a good idea," she said nodding, while reaching for the magazine. One article on the stages of pregnancy caught her eye and she opened the magazine to that page. Within the pages of the article was a chart, showing how big the baby was, week by week. Figuring she was somewhere between 6 to 9 weeks along, Keeta glanced over at the chart to see how big the baby was. It said that while the baby was only somewhere between the size of a raspberry and a grape, but was already growing hands and feet.
How can something so tiny, that I can't even see or feel yet, be affecting my life so dramatically?
"Keeta Harding?" A voice came from the door leading to the back, disrupting her thoughts. A woman stood there with a medical file in her hand. "The doctor will see you now."

Unplanned Checkup A Clinic Visit - Starts here! There was something about keeping a professional atmosphere that Luna simply couldn't comply with. Sitting behind a desk all day, pushing papers, only doing what she was told... it felt too much like she was back home on Neilan, spying on the very people they called allies and reporting any thoughts that weren't one hundred percent positive.
She'd hated it. So much.
But here she was now, working for the very organization her boss had once used as cover. Unlike Commander Haladet, Luna was no doctor, but with Doctor London taking care of all the "doctor-y" stuff, it kept Luna free to do what she loved to do; help those in need.
"Hey, Ma," Caroline called from the doorway, pulling a knit cap off of her head and shaking the hat hair out as the wings on her head stretched, seemingly glad to be free of the restrictive headgear.
Caroline! As Luna projected the happy recognition, her hands signed out her daughter's name. She'd hoped Caroline had had a fun time at soccer practice. Did Caroline have fun? For each projection, there was an appropriate sign. Perhaps they were a little out of order -- she was signing her empathic projections, not telepathic ones. But Caroline understood them either way.
"Yeah," Caroline said and signed at the same time. "It was okay. Are we going out for dinner now?"
Luna would love to. Sign, sign, sign. But there was something very important that Luna had to do today, and it would be happening in five... four... three...
And that was when Luna and Caroline both glanced at the front door expectantly.
The door swung open, and yet another pregnant lady waddled her round self in. Even though she was so close to popping, Sadoko was still going to work. She wouldn't wear her usual work uniform, but she did wear a modified version of it. She sorely disliked the color white, but she had to get a white maternity blouse so she could match the other tour guides. She also had a black vest and black pants that had a stretchy waist. Her hair was done up in a bun as she usually did for work.
Despite how nice she looked, she had a rather serious expression upon her face still. Making her way to the receptionist's counter, she decided to ask about if her appointment for inducing labor was still set. Sometimes busy places forgot about patients unless they were reminded. It was better to be safe than sorry. Glancing up, she found that instead of the effeminate man who usually did a sloppy job at best, it was a girl with wine-red hair. In fact, she had seen her the last time she came for her appointment.
"Oh, hello again," she merely stated in greeting. She didn't even smile as a pleasantry after her greeting. "Is the receptionist in?"
"Ma says he's on break," Caroline cut in, barely glancing at her mother as she answered Sadoko in her place. "And that she didn't forget you."
In reply, Luna gently rested her hand on Caroline's head. Now now now, Luna was perfectly capable of talking to the nice lady; not that she minded the help, now that she thought about it.
A flat "oh" was the only verbal response the two would get.
However, in her mind, she also responded rather openly I take it that this is your preferred way of communication? She leaned forward as best as she could at the counter, but her stomach prevented it from being comfortable in any form or fashion, so Sadoko just stood up straight again.
It's my only mode of communication, Luna answered a bit sheepishly, hands signing out the words as she projected them. The sign language wasn't for Sadoko's benefit; it was for Caroline's. After all, they both needed the practice, especially considering it was Caroline's only means of communication with Jokeph... who happened to be outside, happily alone (but in mental earshot) in the parking lot.
"But I can talk," Caroline cut in proudly, a faint outline of a pupil darting back and forth across her solid brown eyes as she followed the exchange.
"Ssh," Luna admonished gently, and then turned her attention back to Sadoko. Empath, telepath, or both?
I suppose there are worser fates, such as not having that ability and not being able to talk. She didn't even bother to talk at this point. Thoughts were more exact anyways, even though they could be unclear, the content was more true to form.
To Luna's question, she shook her head. I am neither. My friend is a telepath though, so I am quite used to holding conversations this way to keep quiet if necessary.
A curious brown eye glanced to the strange creature that had been talking. I take it this one is yours? she directed towards the wine-haired lady, before adding in And when will the receptionist be back? I wanted to check in on my appointment for these two. She didn't even make a gesture to her stomach, but it should have been pretty obvious which "two" she was referring to.
My daughter, yes. Luna nodded in confirmation, and rested her chin on her hand with a small smile. And I'm the one you're scheduled to be seeing, she added.
With that, she closed her eyes, as if listening for something.
Rather than seeming to accept such, she quirked a brow suspiciously.
I have no appointment for today. I just came here on my way to work to see if my appointment for inducing labor is still on schedule or not.
She took note of the lady, and how she was now with eyes shut. Obviously this lady had her own agenda rather than a real "schedule."
"I just hope that this does not take too long, Miss...?" She glanced to Luna's shirt to check if there was some sort of name-badge or anything. Yet her efforts were fruitless, not even a hint at what this lady's name was.
"Keth," Caroline cut in just as Luna projected her own first name. Luna Keth.
I wanted to see, she began, if the children were ready. Use vague pronouns just in case. Just like she carefully instructed to do.
Not only did she listen for anything out of the usual, she also seemed to poke at the minds of all three; Sadoko and both children. Gentle, fleeting sensations, not unlike fingertips barely skimming the surface of a slow creek. Her mind never probed deeper than that; it was an incident much like what she was carefully avoiding that caused her mind to develop as abnormally as it did in order to protect herself. But this, this gentle skimming... this would be all right. Another poke, and a ripple of reassurance to accompany it. It was all right; Luna wasn't going any deeper than the surface. She wasn't going to hurt any of them or forcibly invade their minds.
Her eyes remained closed just a moment longer, and finally, they fluttered open. Their fingers are warm she finally projected, a puzzled expression on her face. ...Like your wrist.
Subconsciously, her fingers drifted to the skin over her right wrist. It definitely wasn't warm, but she had a pretty good idea what the reference was for.
I suppose I will be getting lots of baby-mittens then, Ms. Keth was her response to such. It didn't answer anything as to what such things were, and she aimed to keep it that way. She didn't quite seem all that concerned in regards to if the ones in her belly were ready to come out yet or not. They really weren't going to get much of a choice on that issue.
Her brown eyes flitted to a clock on the wall before adding another thought for Luna. I really do need to head out to work quite soon, so would you be able to check to see if I am on the schedule for an induced labor? It should be under the name of Sadoko Misaki.
Luna didn't even look at the schedule. You are!
She didn't quite know how reassuring such a response was. Offering a slight bow of the head, she uttered softly the words "Thank you," then turned to go. The last thing Sadoko wanted was to be late for work. At least, the last thing she wanted for that particular day.
Oh, wait! Luna began, pushing a bag into Caroline's hands. She gently nudged her daughter forward, and Caroline obediently rushed to Sadoko's side and held it up.
"It's gotcher name on it," Caroline offered.
Glancing down at the festively colored bag, Sadoko couldn't help but squint her eyes. It was just too damned bright.
"...thank you, little one..." she uttered. Nevermind the fact this girl was maybe a foot shorter than her, this child was obviously still pretty "little" in age. Taking a hold of the bag, she once more offered a slight bow of the head, then waddled out of the building. She had a pretty decent walk ahead of her now

keetabirdy Not knowing Sadoko's address, Keeta leaves something at the clinic for her, for the next time she comes in. Attached is a note: "Thanks for talking with me the other day. It really helped knowing I wasn't the only one who wound up here unexpectedly. I hope we can be friends and support each other through this. Here is a little something for the kids to play with. I hope they can share it ok.

Induced Labor: Part 1, Preparations The day had finally come. Or rather, the evening had come. Waking up rather quickly as she was accustomed to, Sadoko found a familiar lump in front of her still sleepy eyes.
"...this is going to be the last day where I see this disgusting lump" she grumbled as she hoisted her large body out of the bed. Once up, she'd find two sleeping kitsusagi and a family of felines resting on the opposite side of the room. She attempted to walk out of the room with light steps, but despite her desire, her steps were quite weighted down.
It seemed that it would be her luck that the infants in her stomach were being stubborn. They were ready to be born, yet they were taking their sweet time coming out. Extreme measures had to be taken, and so that day was the day Sadoko had scheduled an appointment to induce her labor. The girl closed her eyes for a moment as she carefully left her room and shut the door behind her. She let out a bit of a sigh.
"...I take it that yer lookin' forward t'this, Sadoko?"
It was odd, but for some reason, when Sadoko finally made her way out of her room, she found that the crossdresser was merely waiting for her there.
"...I'm looking forward to this like a lobotomy, Daikenkai" was her rather harsh response.
Leaning in and scraping a nail under the girl's chin, the feminine man uttered "Ever hormonal, even t'the end of yer pregnancy, m'dear." He held a rather serious expression as he took in the girl's expression and facial features. He didn't even move his finger as he uttered out, tone finally as serious as his expression "Y'remember who the parents are, correct?"
"...yes..."Though Toshiro had once rather enjoyed mornings he found himself becoming more and more of a night owl. Despite knowing that the next day was rather important he continued to sleep away in his bed. The boy was sprawled out in the nude, as he often slept, with his pillow knocked down upon the floor. On occasion a soft snore could be heard as he remained within his personal dreamland.Seeming pleased with the response that Sadoko gave him, he lowered his finger back to his side and stood straight up again. Turning back around so his skirt flaired up a bit, he soon found himself facing his own room down the hall.
"...then let me git Daddy up then. Tis better a father go t'his own sons' birthing..."
The pregnant girl's eyes drifted down to the ground. "You're not one to talk."
At first, it seemed Daikenkai was not going to acknowledge the comment Sadoko made. Yet as he began to walk to his own room where his lover waited, he uttered "...tis safer if I don't go..." Before the girl could respond, he opened and shut the door to his room. His eyes licked over the nude figure as it rested.
"Toshiro, yer not allowed to miss such an important day as this one" he stated in a decently loud voice.Strange words echoed in the boys head. His eyelids seemed to flicker a bit before they fully opened. His mind couldn't place a face to the voice within his dreams so such must have been from reality, too bad, dreams were often nicer.
With a grumble the boy sat up and finally seemed to wake up. "bleh.... oh... oh yeah... is it baby day? oh geeze..." Now a bit of a panic swept over Toshiro. He had often worried about what would happen when the babies were born and now it seemed that day was going to be today. Biting his lip the boy scrambled to grab some clothing and get dressed. "oh man... oh man... what am I supposed to do? We go there and then what? then what?" Rather nervously he began to nibble on his knuckle. Today is the day... can I be a good dad?Finding a bit of amusement in his lover's panic, the thin man just seated himself upon the bed, somewhere amongst the messy sheets. He crossed his legs and kicked the left foot about a bit.
"...All ye need t'do is t'let Sadoko take care of the stuff. She knows what she's doin' when it comes t' taking care of the tedious stuff like gettin' a room and what not..." It was a vague hint that he had no intent on going, but he figured it would be better if he didn't say it outright. Last thing he needed was Toshiro getting upset at him.The boy paced around and continued gnawing at his knuckle. "But.. but what do we do? What do I do there? How am I supposed to help? I want to help but... I.. uughh.." A rumble in his stomach distracted him for a moment. "Ok.. breakfast first right? That's a good start..." Taking a deep breath the nervous wreck opened up the bedroom door and headed out to wander down to the kitchen. He attempted to distract himself by thinking about what he should eat for breakfast. What was best? Not being in much of a rush, the other man remained in the bedroom for a bit. He had nothing to do after all.
In the mean time, Sadoko had managed to hobble her way down the stairs and to start making herself her own breakfast. It wasn't too hard, seeing as a simple apple or two was all she needed to eat at the moment. Sitting at the table, she soon enough found a very timid looking creature before her; Toshiro.
Almost as if she could read minds (and most certainly, she could not), she merely pointed out "If you go in so anxious, you would be more likely to cause problems rather than being able to assist."Glancing over, Toshiro grumbled at the girl. "Well what am I supposed to do there anyways? How... does any of this work?" Turning away from her he went to the refrigerator and pulled out a raw steak and a beer. Such seemed to be an alright breakfast since they didn't really have cereal or milk there.
Setting both items down at the table the boy actually took a seat behind them. Usually he would eat such at the couch but today he actually had someone to talk to whom was already at the table. His fingers twisted the cap off of the beer and tossed it aside. He then brought the beverage up to his lips and began to quickly drink away. He was hoping it would not only quench his thirst for the moment it would also help calm him down a bit.Seeing the boy's choice in a breakfast, all Sadoko offered was a disapproving shake of the head.
"You know, when you are at the hospital, they won't have any beers there for you to drink. They usually want you going into these things... quite sober."
Her words probably wouldn't make too much of a difference to Toshiro, but she offered them anyways. However, she couldn't really relate to how he was feeling. She was eager to get rid of her blimp-like stomach.
"...we are going to the hospital, you and I. We'll stop off at the check-in counter, then they'll take me to another room. Then they give me a medicine, and then I'll go into labor."
She paused and turned to Toshiro. "Compared to demon's it should be a cake-walk in regards to pain. However, you'll be there as, well.... emotional support, in case I do find it a bit more overwhelming than expected. The doctors and nurses should take care of all the technical stuff."The boy's beer slammed down on the table. "Wait, what about Dai? I don't want to go by myself... I... how am I supposed to help?" He only seemed to grow more upset upon hearing such news. "Damn it... why isn't he coming?" His fingers began to tear away at the plastic wrapping up the steak. "What do I do when they take you to another room? How am I supposed to be support of any kind? I can't do anything!" He groaned and picked up the steak and began to gnaw at it. It certainly wasn't the most healthiest of choices in food preparation but he had found himself with a fondness for raw meat."He's not comin' because t'would be more of a danger for the kids if I am remotely associated with them in public places in such a manner." A verbose response, perhaps, but as he entered the room, he was prepared for a glare or two, perhaps even some angry words thrown at him.
Sadoko glanced up and narrowed her eyes at Daikenkai. He had bad timing, as usual.
"...You won't be in a different room. Your the father, so you are allowed to be in the same room. You won't be alone either. I think Kaila wanted to come for this too."
A slight pause.
"...Daikenkai means, due to the career field he chose, if he had any child or attachments that could easily be identified as his own, there could be the problem of someone trying to bring harm to them later on. He has thought this through..."
Not wanting to be the center of attention, the thin man made his way to the sink and glanced out the window. He seemed to not have a care in the world, where as it was quite the opposite.Hearing that he wasn't to be alone in his duty of supporting he relaxed a little bit. His mind went on to some other things, mostly about what Daikenkai had to say. "Then why doesn't he care when we go out to the bar together?" The boy had often gone to the bar with Daikenkai, in fact such was the location where they went upon first meeting each other. "You probably just want her to yell at me instead of you when she is laboring. I saw a woman giving birth on the TV and she just kept yelling at the man saying everything was his fault... It's not alllll my fault..." His eyes glared to the other male as he picked up his beer to finish it off."A drinking partner doesn't make as good a ransom victim as one's own child, are they?" He turned around to Toshiro with a rather serious expression.
"Either way, neither of these children will have me labeled as a father, Toshiro. Where as one is in reality my own, I shall not let such ever be identified. Both the children will be called yours, Toshiro." His serious expression almost seemed to droop a bit into sadness, but knowing Daikenkai, one could tell he didn't want such to be read.
To try and lighten up the mood slightly, Sadoko offered "Toshiro, if you'd prefer it, if I have anything nasty to say, I'll just say it in Japanese. And, even then, I'd never blame you for this. It's as much my own fault as anyone else's here." Taking a moment to crunch into one of her apples, she set the fruit back down onto the tablet quietly.Chugging his beer he took in what was said to him. It all really did seem to make sense. Once finished he set the bottle down on the table. "...ok..." He sighed and got up and moved over to the sink. With a bump of his hip he nudged Daikenkai away so he could take a moment to wash his hands and face a bit. "I'm still not looking forward to today...""...at least you aren't the one who's passing two watermelons out of your system. Be thankful for that much at least." Without even excusing himself, Daikenkai made his way out of the room and towards a pack of cigarettes he had left upon a small table by the door. A lighter was conveniently next to the pack. Opening the door, he went out and lit up, taking a drag while glaring at the two canine creatures outside.
Sighing and shaking her head, Sadoko stood up as well while taking another big bite out of an apple. "I think you do have it slightly easier than most dad's though. Usually the girl goes into labor unexpectedly, causing more of a panic. At least this one is scheduled out. You know what to expect going in."
Waddling over to Toshiro's side, she also offered a simple "...and don't worry, I'm not really looking forward to the 'pain' which is in store. I'm looking forward to the after effects. I'm losing at least 20 pounds today."The boy's head went to the side. "What is it with girls and loosing weight? I mean.. I wouldn't mind gaining like 20 pounds if it were muscle... then I could maybe lift more stuff... or something..." He began to stare off drawing a bit of a blank. He had thought of getting a job as a mover or appliance delivery it was just the problem of doing something he had never done before... and forging papers so he existed... at least Daikenkai had taken care of that part for him. "uhhh..." His eyes went back and forth as he collected himself. "ok... so.... when do we go? ... how long will it be?"Pointing to her stomach rather promptly, she mentioned "I don't exactly classify this as muscle, do you?" Finishing off one apple, she soon enough grabbed her second one and proceeded to work on it.
"Be glad Kaila is going. It's going to take at least several hours. We'll go once I finish up here. Don't worry, I don't plan on going by myself, Toshiro."As he stared at her stomach he agreed he wouldn't call it all muscle, but it surely wasn't fat either. He sighed and then heard how long he would have to wait around in a hospital. "man seven hours? really? What am I supposed to do with all that time? Does it really take that long for a baby to come out or is that like... double the time because there are two?" Growing a bit curious he wandered closer to Sadoko and slowly put his head to her belly. What did the babies think about all of this? They seemed to rather enjoy being in Sadoko's belly since they didn't want to leave of their own will. Were they doing the right thing in forcing them to come out. "Hello babies... hello? Did you know you are coming out today? Sorry if you didn't want to but I guess Sadoko thinks you should... it's not all too scary out here..." He began to chuckle a bit. "There is Daikenkai, but all together not all too scary."As she continued to eat, she'd give Toshiro some answers to his questions: "No, it isn't double the time because of two babies. In fact, it takes about the same amount of time if it is one versus two. The only difference is, instead of one popping out and being done, I pop out two in a row, the I'm done."
A slight pause as her teeth dug into the flesh of the apple, then she continued. "I've been told by someone at the clinic that the babies were definitely ready to come out... it's just my own body which apparently is preventing them from doing such. It's actually unhealthy for babies to stay in the mother's stomach when they are fully developed... so we are just helping them..."
Another bite of food, then the question everyone was waiting for: "Have you thought of any names?"The boy stood up and stared at her belly. "uhhh.. Rock? That's a name isn't it?" He really hadn't thought of it. "I guess that works... like... I'm Garnet, but it's not the same like how my Dad...ohh..." He only wound up depressing himself. "Well... he's an ordinary rock... not a special one, not to be used for... you know..." His fingertips pressed together. "What I used to do..."Oh, how ugly the silence was at that point. She didn't even seem to acknowledge the name the boy offered. Finishing off her meal rather quickly, she wobbled to the trashcan to get rid of her remaining cores, then hobbled towards the living room.
Sadoko's voice finally broke the silence, and rather sharply too with a set of instructions: "I'll give you about an hour... then we need to leave. Be sure to put on a shirt, and shoes if you have them. I'm going to get my things packed up for the stay." With that, she continued her hobbling out of the room.An hour? He was ready now! At least he thought he was. A shirt was ok, but shoes? "Do... I have to wear the shoes in the hospital or can I take them off when we get there?" His hand went to scratch at his side a bit. "They aren't very comfortable normally...."She hadn't even made her way up the stairs yet, and here Toshiro was asking more questions already.
"...Toshiro... you can leave them off on our way there, but the moment we get in the building, you will need them on. Hospitals are, pretty picky about non-patients wearing shoes..." A deep sigh followed. Toshiro was definitely going to be going into this much like a child would."Aw man..." He huffed and put his hands into his pockets as he followed Sadoko up the stairs. He would now have to find his shoes. They were in his bedroom, somewhere. When was the last time he had worn them anyway? Such was something he couldn't really remember, which would make finding them a bit harder. Well, at least he had an hour.
After the blimp and boy made it upstairs he went to his room to start picking through the various piles of clothing and what not scattered about the floor. After about fifteen minutes of searching he finally found a shoe. The other one couldn't be all too far away. Sure enough, in a nearby pile it was buried. Now... what else was there? Oh yeah a shirt... A shirt wasn't all too hard to find. He grabbed the first non-feminine shirt and pulled it over his head. That was good enough.
With shoes in hand he was now ready to go. Taking them downstairs he waited out his extra time on the couch. After a pretty decent smoke, Daikenkai finally slipped back into the black house, smoke fresh on his breath. He was just in time to find Toshiro on the couch with more clothing on than usual.
"...I take it... tis time soon fer the hospital?" He didn't dare to sit down. He remained standing. His feminine hands would replace the cigarette packet and lighter where he had found it, then he merely just stood there."Yeah... then I have to be there for like 7 hours... it's going to suck... 7 hours is so long and... ugh..." He sat up and ruffled his hair a bit. "What do we do with the babies when we get back? They aren't just going to be in Sadoko they are going to be... like all crawling around and crying and pooping and stuff!"He'd lean against the wall behind him, lifting a leg up and kicking it back so the bottom of his foot was flat against the wall as well. He didn't seem as serious as before, but at the same time, he didn't seem like he was joking or anything either as he spoke:
"I'd assume ye'd 'ave t'take a taxi back... since walkin' all the way back from the hospital seems like a bit much. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if ye took a taxi t'the hospital as well. And it takes quite a while fer infants t'start crawling. Either way... yer not the nanny, so the poopin' ain't so much yer responsibility.""Well... either way... they make poop and it will stink everywhere... and that doesn't do anything about the crying. I don't want them to cry... I don't want them to be sad..." He pouted not sure what to do. "We should... get them like rattles and those... plastic... n****e things that kids suck on all the time... yeah..." His eyes stared at Daikenkai as he thought about pacifiers.
"Does anyone ever pierce those? To like... simulate real nipples that were pierced? Or do babies not like that?"Well that was one way to lighten the mood. With a rather hearty chuckle, though it sounded far darker than what it was, Daikenkai shook his head.
"Last I checked, infants don't really care about piercings. In fact, they really are only following instinct. When they suckle... tis a reflex."
Maybe that was all the crossdresser needed, for he hoisted himself up and began to approach the couch. He still didn't seat himself down, but he did stand in front of the other boy.
"...if ye think too much... yer brain will probably pop from all the anxiety yer givin' it..." He paused to ruffle his lover's fluffy white hair. "...relax and it'll be alright...""But it's so hard... not to think about it... " His head drooped and he stared at the ground. In an attempt to calm down he took a few deep breaths. "Well... I guess I'll sleep good later after all of this...""With earplugs, perhaps."
It wouldn't be the case for the cross dresser. He'd be the first to wake up and tend to the crying of infants. He had done it before, he most certainly could do it again. Finally sitting down next to Toshiro, he tossed out the one uncertainty which did bother him slightly:
"Wonder if there'll be boys or girls, or perhaps both...""Aw man, I didn't think about that... Sadoko wanted to know a good name so I said Rock... Rock isn't a very good girl's name is it?" He glanced over to his friend and lover. "What kind of names would you give them?" Again he was starting to worry. Would raising a girl be much harder than a boy? There was no hesitation. Only one answer: "Ophelia for a girl." Perhaps he had the opposite problem that Toshiro had, for it was easy to see he had merely thought of a girl's name rather than any for a boy.
It would take a moment before Daikenkai really comprehended what it was that Toshiro had requested for a name for a boy. He turned to the pale haired boy and asked "What reason did ye 'ave fer namin' a boy that?" It was a bizarre name at that, but it didn't seem like something Sadoko would settle for easily."Well..." His eyes turned away. "It was the first thing that came to my head... and stuff..." He thought back to how he attempted to explain it to Sadoko earlier. "I.. want him to be like me but... not like me... a regular boy" It was still rather hard to explain despite how easy it popped into his mind."...I fail to see it..."
He was honest for once. However, he turned to Toshiro and added one more thing: "Yer gonna be the one there to help with the names, so if ye like that name, it works well enough then."
It was amazing how time flew by. Apparently during that time where Toshiro and Daikenkai were conversing, Sadoko had not only packed up her suitcase, but she had called a taxi service. Now she was hobbling down the stairs with a loaded suitcase. At least it had wheels to slightly ease the obnoxious clunking sound.
"Toshiro, can you get this for me?" She stopped at the stairs and waited for the boy. It was quite obvious it was time."Huh? ..oh!" Turning away from Dai he got himself up and went to retrive the suitcase. "why so much stuff?" Despite its weight the boy hoisted it up above his head as he carried it down the stairs. "It's going to just be 7 hours, right? Did you like... pack a huge lunch for you, me, and the babies?" Once at the bottom of the stairs he set the suitcase down for a moment and looked up to Sadoko. He watched her as she made her decent down the stairs."I have to stay longer most likely... they won't let me leave until they are certain that I am doing well, as well as the babies are doing well."
She was as graceful as a plump duck, waddling down the stairs. "...if you don't want to stay though, it is fine, you can go back with Kaila for a bit..." Sadoko didn't even pause as she continued to waddle towards the door. It was time, and there was nothing to stop this now.
"Just make sure to remember who the parents are, Sadoko" the cross dresser reminded one final time. However, Sadoko had shut the door behind her before an answer could be given.Picking up the suitcase Toshiro rushed behind her. "I don't think I could leave you all alone in a hospital. They smell bad and ... well they feel lonely even with people around..." Down at the end of the road a car had driven up and waited for its passengers. "I want to stay with you... and the babies... ok? Even if it takes more than 7 hours. I wouldn't feel good if something went wrong when I wasn't there."

Induced Labor: Part 2, Rock and Wolf are Born The taxi had left the two at the entrance of the hospital. Toshiro stared up to the large building. He had been inside such before, the last time for being hit by a car. Looking both ways before crossing a street was certainly a lesson he would teach their children.
With the suitcase in his hand he went to open the door for Sadoko, to be a gentlemen, but such opened up on its own upon him getting close enough. "oh...." Since it was open he stepped inside and then waited for Sadoko to take the lead. She was the one who had a clue on where they were going. Taking a moment he glanced around. There was supposed to be one more, but where was she? She was going to meet them there wasn't she?It would almost seem as if Sadoko was upset at the world or something, for her expression was anything but happy. Perhaps if she had naturally gone into labor, she'd be a bit more lively, but for the moment, she was okay with having a serious expression lingering about. She easily took the lead, waddling up to the reception area and checking in. Even with all the preparations she had made, she still had to wait for a bit. After signing a few papers, she then signaled for Toshiro to follow her. They would have to wait, just what they all wanted.
Before they even reached the waiting area, a lively and familiar voice chirped out of nowhere: "I was hoping to make it here before you, Sadie! Phooey!" Trip-tropping up to where her friends were, the ever enthusiastic Kaila smiled one of her biggest smiles. In her hands, she had quite a few large gift-bags which seemed stuffed to the brim. One could never accuse Kaila of being stingy with gifts.
At first, Sadoko didn't seem too enthusiastic. In a plain tone, she asked "If you had the chance to lose 20 pounds, wouldn't you want to be on time?"
Kaila seemed to think about it for a moment, biting her lip slightly, then she bubbled up with a "I suppose so!" She giggled a bit, then she finally took note of the company, or lack there of. "Hi Toshiro! Where's Mr. Daikenkai?" Her blue eyes blinked curiously as she seemed to look around the waiting room for him.At first the boy had figured he would be looking at magazines while they waited to even go in. However as soon as Kaila came in he at least had someone to talk to. Even better she seemed to have some bags full of stuff. She must have brought things for them to do while they waited.
His attention turned from the bags to her face upon hearing her question. "oh... he's not coming..." He tried to offer a smile but he really would have preferred if the cross dresser had come as well. At least he understood why he hadn't come. "It's just better this way I guess...""Oh... well, he's just a big party pooper then!" she giggled out, trying to make light of something which seemed to bring the party down. Kaila seemed to be bouncing in place with excitement. It was almost as if this was her own mother or sister was having a baby. Though it may have seemed odd, the younger twin did consider Sadoko to be as close as family. With that thought in her mind, she went and gave Sadoko a big hug. "Knowing you, you're probably more prepared than you should be!"
Trying to lessen her serious expression into a more calm one, the pregnant woman uttered "It is better to assume the worst than to go in assuming the better and being unprepared for the worst." Even with all the preparation and hints she'd received about the twins in her belly, she still felt slightly scared. She was better than most about hiding such, but she couldn't fool herself, no matter how hard she tried.Hearing the conversation only made Toshiro grow more nervous. "Gahhh.... can't this be over?" He began to wiggle in his seat. "I just want it to be done and have everyone be good and heathy...." Staring down he bit down on his bottom lip.
Oh man... well... if it goes too bad Kaila can help right? But what if something is wrong... like... what if Rock is messed up because of what my Dad did to me... or even that weird Demon thing Sadoko does? His nerves became more evident as he began to rock in place a bit. "oh man....."With a bit of a snort, Sadoko added "That makes two of us then!" Kaila was still smiling, but she couldn't help but shake her head from side to side.
During all the conversation, a rather shrewd voice seemed to make the perfect interruption and attention getter: "Sadoko Misaki and party, please."
Having just gotten comfortable in her seat, the blimp grumbled a bit as she had to now get up again. It took at least 10 seconds longer than it should have, but either way, it would be all over with soon enough. Hobbling along with Kaila almost at her heels, she approached the rather prickly looking nurse. Obviously this particular nurse needed a bit of a vacation."ohmanohmanohman..." The boy picked up the suitcase and followed behind. He was a shaking bundle of nerves. "I hope everything goes ok..." He turned to Kaila. "Everything is going to go ok, right?" Though he knew Kaila wouldn't really be able to say at least hearing a yes would relax him a bit.Sadoko remained at the front with the nurse. The nurse was offering some chit-chat, but it really wasn't anything all that exciting. Kaila remained closer to where Toshiro was, so she was easily able to hear the question.
"Of course everything's going to be alright, silly!" she easily responded with a sincere smile. Where as her sister was a pessimist, Kaila made up for it with her sunny optimism. Paying more attention to the nervous Toshiro, Kaila ended up bumping into the nurse when they finally arrived to the room Sadoko was assigned to. "Oh, sorry about that" she swiftly apologized.
It wasn't long before all their things were set down, and for a little bit, Kaila and Toshiro were asked to exit the room so Sadoko could put on the paper gown and take her medicine so things could get started properly.Unable to sit down Toshiro began to pace around the waiting room. "Seven hours... seven hours and more even......" He seemed like the typical pacing father waiting for his children to be born in the other room. IF things went well however Toshiro would be in the room with Sadoko. Chances were that all he would really do there was to pace around in the background unless given some sort of task to do.Given a bit of time, the two outside of the room were invited back in. It wasn't anything exciting to watch, seeing as Sadoko seemed a bit accustomed to the pain. However, she didn't want to let on that it wasn't as bad as people made it to seem, so she tried to play it up a little bit. However, at worst, it would only seem like she was uncomfortable, not really in pain.
"Come on Toshiro, worrying won't make the babies come out any faster or healthier!" Kaila said to calm Toshiro's nerves. "The best we can do is try to keep her calm." With that, the curly-haired girl went to her friend's side and started asking her how she was doing. It really didn't seem all that exciting, but perhaps for a worrying father, it was exhilarating.Though Sadoko wasn't very expressive of pain Toshiro knew she was most likely going to feel such. In a gentle gesture he took her hand and lightly held it in his own. Unfortunately, his hand was a bit clammy due to his stressing. It may have seemed as if he was holding her hand to comfort himself about the situation. "If you want me to do anything just ask, OK?" His eyes took in the strange contraption attached to the bed Sadoko was to rest on."Thanks, Toshiro. You'll make a great father!" Sadoko smiled a bit and griped onto the boy's hand. Anyone who worries this much definitely will be a great parent, it shows they want to do well!
For quite a few more hours, things seemed to be okay. Nothing too drastic occurred. Yet after those few hours, the pain seemed to increase a bit. No longer was the girl faking discomfort, but she was actually feeling it. And even a few more hours, that discomfort had even grown into pain. Her hand griped tightly onto the two hands which were offered by then: Kaila's and Toshiro's.The boy was rather surprised and almost embarrassed by the compliment. He truly wasn't expecting it. The truth was that he really did want to do his best, he was just uncertain as what he would need to do in order to do his best. As the time went on he took note in the increase of the squeezing on his hand. His eyes went from Sadoko's face, to Kaila's, to the doctor below. Toshiro's heart began beating harshly as he heard the first cry from the first tiny infant as he began to make his entrance into the world."It's a boy!" was the doctor's cry. However, now was not the time to stop and celebrate. First thing he did was cut the umbilical cord, then he passed the infant off to the nurse at his side. The nurse took the silver-haired infant to get cleaned off a bit.
With another 3 long minutes, another set of cries began to echo throughout the room. This was shortly followed by a "It's another boy!" Even then, Sadoko still wasn't done. However, the infants were out and safe. Soon enough, the dark haired infant was passed off to another nurse to be taken care of.
Though she was eager to see the infants, Kaila waited at the bed with Sadoko, still steadily holding her hand. The girl still needed a few more things to come out, as well as she needed to have a procedure done afterwards to ensure this dilemma never happening again.Upon hearing the sex of the first child his hand began to squeeze back on the hand he held. His head was bobbing this way and that trying to get a good view without leaving the side of Sadoko. Then a short while later there was the announcement of another boy. Which one was his? He wasn't able to even see the children as the doctors cleaned them up and inspected them.Once the two infants had been cleaned up, they were brought up to the mother in two clean bundles. Each wore a little cap to keep them warm.
Kaila immediately started baby-talking to the infants, seeming quite content with the fact babies were there. Sadoko couldn't help but offer a slight smile. Fortunately, the eldest boy's hair was slightly sticking out of his cap.
"I think this boy is yours, Toshiro..." she whispered very softly. Afterall, he was taking full credit for both of them, regardless of the fact that only one was his.
At this point, the doctor came over and let Sadoko know that she'd have an hour before her next procedure, so that way she could have some time resting with the infants. With a slight nod, she dismissed the doctor and lay back down. Sweat was now rolling off her brow and down her cheeks. In a bit of awe Toshiro stared down to the children and then specifically at his own child. "Why are they so small? ... are they sleeping? What color are their eyes?" He began to lean over the bed a bit. Now rather close he noticed the sweat rolling down Sadoko's face. "Oh... do you need a towel? Are you ok? I think it went well didn't it? The babies are here..."In a gentle voice, Sadoko declined the offer. "I'm fine... you have so many questions, Toshiro. Just relax..."
Kaila glanced over from the opposite side of the bed. "...Babies usually have lighter eyes when they are born. It takes time for the right color to come in..." Turning back to the new mother, the blonde girl leaned into her friend. "You did a good job though! We're all proud of you. Kristal wants you to know that she and Lyle are glad for you."
For once, the one name didn't set off her nerves. In fact, Sadoko seemed at peace with the world. Glancing down to the infants, she seemed to whisper to everyone "Lyle's going to hate the name for the younger one." She smiled, not seeming to care if such would be shared with the twin girl's brother."Well... the more questions I ask the more I learn. And if I know stuff then I can teach the babies... so it's good for everyone right?" It didn't seem to matter that the children most likely wouldn't be asking the same questions he had for years to come. His body began to fidget a bit but not in the same nervous way as earlier. Now he had become quite eager. "When can I hold them.. wait... can I hold them or is it not good to do that yet?" Questions, questions, questions.... If anything he was somewhat preparing the mother for the children when they came to the age of questioning everything."You can hold them" was the soft response. She would have offered one up, except she was quite tired. "You just need to make sure to give them plenty of support around the neck. They are too weak to do such on their own yet."Toshiro looked from child to child. Which one should he pick up and hold first? He was having trouble deciding. He didn't want the other one to think it was loved second best. Biting his lip he went for the younger of the two. His hands paused near the child as he took note on how much larger his hands were in comparison to the infant. He then, ever so gently, slipped his hands under and held it as tenderly as he would a kitten. Oh such a warm fuzzy feeling, it was great! A large smile grew on his face. "Hi baby...."Somewhat able to identify the dilemma that Toshiro was having, Kaila giggled and immediately went to pick up the silver-haired infant. It almost seemed like the blond had been doing this forever, for she picked up the child with ease and easily went to having a small conversation with the infant.
"Hi there, I'm Auntie Kaila. I'm also a twin. My sister, your Auntie Kristal, looks just like me! Hopefully we won't confuse you or your brother."
Both of the babies were pretty quiet, but that was because they were just as tired as their mother. Speaking of their mother, she looked like she was about to fall asleep.
"Kaila, you are holding Damien Rock Misaki" she whispered out. Turning to Toshiro, she also gave a small introduction for the baby in his arms: "Toshiro, you are holding Ari Wolf Misaki." She smiled once more, then her eyes closed. She wanted to rest until the doctor came to get her again."Damien Rock... thats a good boys name right?" He glanced over to the child Kaila held. "Does he look like me?" He smiled softly then went to look over the child in his own arms. Somewhere in the child's face a younger Daikenkai looked out. "Heh... I guess Dai doesn't get his Ophelia... perhaps it's better though... he might try to... over parent and then Roc-er, Damien Rock would get jealous..." His mind went to thinking about the name that child was given. Oh darn... He wound up having the name of a previous person anyways. "Hey... Sadoko? You won't love this one more will you? Promise?" The boy didn't seem to notice that the mother had already gone to sleep.Kaila glanced at the mother of the infants and sighed. "She must have been tired!" Taking a bit of ease in Sadoko's rest, the blond sat down on the edge of the bed.
"I don't think she'll play favorites" the girl stated calmly. "Any orphan would treat what family they get with as much love as they can. Sadoko isn't immune to that as I recall."The boy's head nodded then he looked down to Ari. Softly he placed a kiss on the infant's head and set him back down next to his mother. "I think I need to sit down... I've been standing up for too long... I'm actually kind a tired too... not as tired as Sadoko though..." After glancing around he found a seat and sat himself down. "So what's next? and.. When can we take the them home? ..Am I still asking too many questions?" He chuckled and rubbed the back of his head a bit.Glancing at a clock upon the wall, the conscious girl replied "Sadoko still needs to have another procedure done. And after that, I think she needs to stay for about a day. Standard procedure and all."
It seemed everyone was tired. Taking the baby she had at hand, Kaila set the infant upon a nearby table meant for babies. She also picked up the other one from Sadoko's side and did the same with him. Finding another seat, Kaila plopped her butt down into it and almost seemed to melt.
"Ahhh... that feels nice!""yeah it does...." Leaning back Toshiro closed his eyes. "Its... so quiet compared to earlier..." He began to daydream a bit about how things would be when they got home. Daikenkai of course would be as non-caring as usual. The babies would most likely go in Sadoko's room and he would simply just be there.. watching the two doing their things until it finally came to be playtime. That's where he would finally come in...It seemed too quick, but soon enough an hour was up and the doctor came in again. He had a few others with him, and rather shortly, Sadoko's bed was wheeled off to take care of her next procedure.

~To my journal, Shichi~
The world seems like a different place now, which is strange enough to say, since I know nothing really has changed. Yet, so much has changed. We just got back from the hospital yesterday, and already many things have happened.
I can tell each of us have changed within just the span of a few days. Toshiro is eager to be a good dad. He always seemed far more childish before in his desire to become a good dad, but now he's really seeming to settle down a bit. It isn't like he completely lost his childish side, but rather, it is beginning to develop into a more mature self. It is hard to explain in words, but it makes perfect sense in my mind. I look forward to seeing how well Toshiro works with the children. Daikenkai, though he wasn't there for the birthing, seems to also be putting forth effort. He seemed quite a bit disappointed in the fact there was no girl out of the two children, but he's not vocalizing such disappointment. It's not like I really had control of my uterus or anything. Yet, while both Toshiro and I were gone, he did something I wouldn't have expected of him: he set up the nursery and the diaper table. He's usually such a greedy b*****d, so I was expecting to need to break my back for the next couple of days working on getting things together with Toshiro. Daikenkai never mentioned his work, so I don't plan on making a big fuss of it. Yet, he's definitely adjusting easily to the actual child-care part of the job-description. Only problem is I need to get a breast pump so he can feed them too.
Here I've been talking so much about the adults, I didn't even mention the twins. They were both born on the early morning of April 27, 2008. The eldest is named Damien Rock Misaki. I would have preferred a better middle name, but it sounded like Toshiro had real reason to want the boy's name to be "Rock," so I just used it for a middle name. He has very nice brown eyes, almost the color of red-wood, and gray hair. I suppose one could argue his hair is silver, but I prefer calling it gray. He has tan skin, not as dark as Toshiro's, but definitely darker than my own. Obviously, this boy is Toshiro's child, noted by the lighter colored hair. And next, born three minutes later than his brother, is Ari Wolf Misaki. The father obviously was Daikenkai, just by process of elimination. I don't really understand how this happened, but the boy has blood red eyes. I will assume it is part of my own heritage that caused such to happen, since both Daikenkai and I have brown eyes. It is almost like Daikenkai said: "His eyes are red like the blood which (my) lover used to drink." I know I named him after Ari, but when Daikenkai said this, I knew that the baby's name truly was meant to be. Ari has hair colored like mine. He has lighter skin than his brother, but it is still a tad bit darker than my own. Both seem rather healthy, and both have their taint more physically viewable than my own. Their fingernails seem to be made of the metal which taints my own blood and bone. It will be interesting to see how that develops.
It hasn't even been more than a day, but we've already had two demons somewhat squabbling over the infants. Fre insisted upon possessing my body for a bit so she could inspect the children. I trust Fre with all my heart, even if she is a demon. Yet it turned out two demons inspected the infants. Kre had also made his way to the house and inspected them. Neither of these demons really get along too well, so I just had to sit and bear with it until the encounter was over. Both seem certain that they will grow into strong boys. Kre seemed more attracted to Ari, despite the fact he is disgusted his father. It was solely because his hair is dark in color. I don't know if Fre has a favorite, but I have a hunch she loves them both equally.
I know I mentioned earlier how everyone has changed, but I never mentioned how I, myself, have changed. I have too, though, it is harder to talk about it when it is about yourself, you understand, right Shichi? I'll try my best though. I think everything for me changed, when I finally had my two boys in my arms right after I pushed them out of my body. It was like, I knew they were mine. I don't mean like, I purchased them or anything, that would be quite shallow. I mean, I knew that they were once a part of me. I lost my parents pretty early in my life, and ever since that time, I never had any blood relatives. Both Kaila and Kristal are like my sisters, but alas, they are not blood. I still love them the same though. This is the first time since my parents died that I've had something like this.
I will get some sketches of the children put in here so you can get an idea as to what they look like.

Waiting Rooms and Mythical Ponies A Clinic Visit - Starts here! IC Note: The appointment was a basic check-up on Sadoko AND the twins. OOC Note: Open RP SessionIt looked like a train with coupled cars as the three entered the the clinic. Sky was in the lead, with Natalia holding onto his tail, followed by Ceres who was a good ways back. She had to be since Sky was her only pair of eyes. They weren't the fastest moving group of people. Natalia was the reason for this. She was still very new to walking, and held onto her daddy's tail as if it was the very breath she needed to live. It didn't help matters that she couldn't see a thing so she wasn't trusting enough to move from behind her daddy. It had only been a week since she had given birth, and she already had to come in for a routine "check-up." Figuring it would look better to the public eye, Sadoko had asked Toshiro to come along for the visit. Walking in, she had her arms completely free of infants. She could have held onto one of the two carriers for the babies, but Toshiro had his pride at stake. So for now, she would take what little blessings she had and accept the break for now.
Walking in, she found a rather amusing sight. A family train. It almost sounded like a horrible TV show, like "Soul Train," but family oriented. Obviously they weren't the only family around for a check-up.
"Good evening" she greeted politely before making her way to the receptionist to sign in.With carriers in hand and a cautious step, Toshiro followed behind. He seemed rather fine until he took note of the others in the lobby. Unfortunately he had never seen people with tails that weren't demons or trouble. Somewhat rudely he stopped and stared wondering what they were doing there, though he should have known based on where they were.
After a moment he looked away and went to move close to Sadoko. In a whisper he spoke to her. "hey... hey... there's a demon over there, right? Are demon kids normal here?"Ceres turned her head in the direction of which she heard the voice coming from. "Evening." She smiled as she shifted the bag on her shoulder. "How about the floor, Sky?"
Sky nodded. "Alright then." His English had improved immensely, but was still a bit rough on the edges. He whickered when he felt his daughter run into him. He turned around just in time to see his daughter land on her butt.
Natalia looked shock for a moment that she had fallen. She felt the ground around her. She was searching for something that was familiar to her. No blanket, no kiwi. She started to fuss. With a quick whisper to Toshiro, she pointed out "...not demons, or I would have noticed that before we came here. There are different creatures out there aside from what we are used to."
Glancing down to the infant on the ground, Sadoko leaned down to take a look rather than to help the infant up. A very fair child, with wings and a horse tail. Adorable, but as she had mentioned to Toshiro, it was not something she was very used to.
"How old is your child?" she asked rather plainly, instead of with a voice full of excitement.
In his carrier, Ari's red eyes looked this way and that. Why wasn't everything moving like it had been before? It was boring to see just the same stuff around him for too long.
3...2...1...
"Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!" This problem needed to be fixed right away!!Toshiro just blinked and then went to stare at the others again. If not demons, what were they? Just to be on the safe side he was going to move to the other side of the room but then one of the children started to cry. Oh no! His eyes glanced down to the child to see if anything was visibly wrong. "Shhh... it's ok..." At least he assumed things were. Rather carefully, or perhaps over carefully, he moved the children and their carriers to a corner then stooped down over Ari to inspect him again. "Did you go poopie?... or are you hungry..." He bit his lip and glanced over to Damien who seemed rather content still.
In lack of a pacifier Damien had taken to sucking on the ear of of a small raccoon plush that Toshiro had given him. It seemed to have some sort of interesting flavor; spit. "noom noom""Natalia is just a day over a week old." Ceres smiled not looking in any particular direction as she knelt down to help Natalia. "...Her learning to walk was purely accidental." She said as she shifted through her bag.
Sky was busy trying to keep her occupied until Ceres could find the blanket and the kiwi. He looked around when he heard the others. "It is like a chain reaction..."
Natalia looked far from happy. Matter of fact, her expression looked more of gas than displeasure of her items. Don't let that fool you, she was angry that her items were missing.Rather quick in her observations, Sadoko asked "Do you suspect it is probably because she has some sort of equine in her blood?" She remained close and watching the child further. The girl couldn't help but wonder if she should offer to burp the poor infant or not. After a few more moments, she finally stood up again and finished signing in.
"I suppose I should tend to whichever one of mine is hollering right now..." she casually mentioned as she turned to walk over to the waiting room.
As quickly as his crying had started, it soon enough ended. There was now a face right in front of his. That was something interesting indeed. With his small and chubby hands, the infant attempted to make a grab for that big thing in the middle (also known as a nose). However, he still wasn't too good with that hand-eye coordination thing.
"Aaa! Aaa!"Since the child settled down Toshiro glanced over towards Sadoko as she spoke with the other people. What was an equine? Being uneducated such was a mystery to the boy. His head tilted to the side as he stared over towards them again, even as Sadoko approached. Instead of his face the chain attaching his earrings dangled down over Ari.
No matter how much he sucked on the ear the flavor didn't change and he didn't feel any fuller. What a strange thing. Oh well... There were other things to taste, like his fingers, but first the raccoon had to go. Taking a hold of it he gave it a push to make it go away and out it tumbled from the carrier. Hurray! "Gweeeaah!~" The child squealed at his achievement."Yes." Ceres said to multiple things. Mainly that she found the blanket, and kiwi, but, also to the fact that her daughter had equine. "Her father has a good bit of Pegasus..."
"Good bit." Sky snorted. "I wasn't able to shift human 'til 9 months ago." He was estimating as it was easier than giving exact dates. His expression was soft as always when Natalia was present.
Natalia felt the fabric touch her hands, and she immediately snatched it from her mother. Next thing she did was insert her thumb in her mouth. She content now to stay put. Casually, Sadoko picked up the raccoon from the ground and glanced back to the couple and child. It did make sense, since the infant had some feathers on her back as well. Nodding her head, she took a seat.
"Toshiro," she started in a whisper, "equine means 'horse'..." His evident confused expression and rather simple mind were sometimes a bit easy to predict. Holding onto the toy in her lap, she then glanced at the two relatively quiet infants.
"Toshiro, you also are going to want to be careful about that..."
"Aaaaa!!!!" Ari's chubby little fingers managed to get something small in it. Maybe it wasn't that big thing in the middle of the head, but it was still nice to touch.
Happy with his accomplishment, he began to try and wave his closed fist up and down.
"Aaa, aaa, aaaa!!!" Such a happy baby at the moment, considering that he was most likely causing someone else a bit a pain."Ooohh..... that makes sense now... I watched some TV that showed horses walking like really quick after being born even" His eyes then went to the woman. "I also like saw this thing on another channel with women really liking horses ... you know and th- ggyaaaahhh owowowow" His hands were tempted to swat at what was pulling on his earring chain but he knew that it was just a baby. "no no no... bad... ow..." His left eye watered a bit as he went to try and get the baby to open his hand and let go. "Ari... st-top that hurts..." Perhaps such was for the best since what he was about to talk about really wasn't appropriate for anyone.
"Squeee~" What funny noises the big man was making. Seeming quite amused the child began to giggle and his cheeks grew rosy.Ceres cleared her throat glad that the conversation ended when it did. She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the man. "Would you like a hand? I have a moment." She smiled politely.
Sky noticed Natalia still had the look of gas. He carefully lifted her and her things. He positioned her so he could properly pat her back.
Slobber dribbled out of Natalia's mouth as she gurgled. She thought daddy was playing a game despite the loud burp that slipped from her."No... I got it... I think..." Despite what he said he really didn't have the situation under control. He was too scared to try and pry the child's fingers off the chain in fear of hurting him somehow. "gahhh"
Still quite content Damien continued giggling away. Oh happy day~Ceres grabbed a shiny toy from her bag. She then carefully crossed the room to where the two children and two parents were. "You've got to occupy them." She smiled, as she knelt.Unlike his brother, Ari was not as fond of super loud sounds. He was adjusting to sounds being sharper and louder than when he was cozy in his mother's womb. Still clutching firmly onto the chain, he began to cry in poor Toshiro's ear.
Sadoko just closed her eyes and waited, since it seemed like the other mother wanted to assist. Having no qualms with such, she just waited out the storm of adult and child cries alike.
In the middle of his cries, his red eyes happened to catch upon something. Not only was it shiny, but it was pretty in color.
"Eeeaaaaaa!!" Letting go of the one item, he went from point A to point B without a problem (except for the hand-eye coordination again). Pretty, colorful thing was for him to play with. It would take a few tries again, but he'd eventually get his hand on such a distractingly wonderful thingy.
Without even opening her eyes, the dark-haired girl knew that the situation had come to a pleasant conclusion. Leaving her eyes shut, she gave the other lady a compliment: "You are pretty good with children it would seem.""Ohhhh~ That's much better..." With his earrings now free he sat up straight and rubbed his ear a bit. "Yes.. much better... Thanks..." His eyes watched as Ari played with the thing. He wondered if they had any other similar items at home. Next time they went out he would be sure to bring it in case of such a similar incident.
Hey... How come he got the shiny thing? Where was his? The smile faded and he reached out towards his brother and the shiny. "whuu?"Sky hadn't looked in the direction of the woman, so Ceres turned her head in the direction of the voice. "I've seven grown children." She laughed lightly. "You learn to pack a bag of tricks, and goodies. And, with time you learn to add and adjust."
"Sky." She said softly. He knew he had pretty good hearing, and that she didn't need to raise her voice. "Why don't you bring Natalia over here, and my bag." She smiled. "I think we're going to need another shiny toy." She just knew that when one had something both had to have it. She was just sorry she hadn't thought of it sooner.
Sky nodded his head. "Alright then." Already holding Natalia he carefully reached for the bag before standing up. After a couple minutes he was sitting next to Ceres."Suppose that is proof that the saying 'practice makes perfect' is very applicable here." Of course, she wasn't exactly going to mention the fact that one of her house-mates was most likely going to do most of the raising of the twins. It wasn't anybody's business but those who were directly affected.
"You are also quite kind, Miss...?" It was somewhat a hint for an introduction, which she always seemed to forget to do herself.
"Aaapppppppplllppppp!" Seeming rather content, he continued to play with the colorful thingy. Thingy, thingy, thingy, where had you been all of Ari's life? It wasn't long before it needed to be taste-tested. After all, it looked pretty, so it probably tasted pretty! Pulling the toy to his mouth, he began to munch on it, or rather, drool on it.Taking a seat, on the floor, Toshiro seemed to notice that Damien was growing jealous. He couldn't help but wish he knew how to read minds, including infant minds. Did they like him? Have they even been alive long enough to know how to like someone? How strange things were. Toshiro seemed to stare off and disconnect from the world as he continued to ponder things.
"Eeee..." The boy's chubby hands reached out towards his brother and his shiny thing. Now he was tasting it? Oh man, it must be good! He wanted it even more now. The world was so cruel. After a sniffle he began to cry out. "waaaaaaaa....""I am Ceres." Ceres said with a smile as she continued to plunder through her bag. She knew it was around here somewhere. "And, his name is Sky." She thought she had it when in fact she had an empty sandwich container. "Our daughter's name is Natalia... Yours?"
"Whoa... Whoa... Look what we have here." Ceres said with a chuckle as she lifted another shiny thing from her bag. "I know. I know. Shame on me. I should have known what one has the other wants." She winked, as she gave him the toy. "This doesn't mean you'll always get your way... But, sometimes you are entitled to be spoiled by those who don't know you."
Natalia didn't know there were toys being passed about, so she was very content with her kiwi and blanket. Although, she really, really wanted daddy to put her down. She loved the comfort, the feel of his heart, but she was wide awake and wanting more stimulating activity to take place.
Sky tried to hold Natalia as she squirmed right out of his arms, landing on her butt. She sniffled as a startled expression crossed her face. But, then she realized that she was down, and with her things. She was happy."Ceres, that is a name of a celestial maiden if I recall correctly." It was a random muse that was spoken aloud, but once it was out, she then opened her eyes and proceeded with introductions upon her end.
"My name is Sadoko. The one you saved from having his earrings torn off is Toshiro. The first child you gave a toy is Ari, and the second one, the one you are giving a toy right now, is Damien."
A pause as she watched the equine-child for a moment. Something was odd about the way she held herself. Observation was something Sadoko was quite good at.
Crinkling his nose a bit, Ari seemed to dislike the noise his older brother was making. It was too loud! His shiny was keeping him quite distracted though, and distracted enough that he didn't notice his brother getting something new as well.
"Bleee!" his toy tasted good, like spit! His legs kicked slightly, seeing as he was so happy.Toshiro was rather good at spacing out leaving the world behind on occasion. He sat there silently staring off at nothing in particular pondering questions yet seeking no answers.
Hurray, a shiny! Very carefully the babe clenched his chubby fingers around the object and began to shake it this way and that. Oh how it sparkled! There were no more tears now, he was indeed a happy boy."Though with time things get a bit watered down... I am a Celestial Maiden. Terrible things happened to my mother to cause other 'breeds' into my make up other than just that and human." Ceres sighed softly, yet contently. "I am bound to my place of birth due to curses, and the fact that over time we've become so woven into it that it is us, as much as it is apart of us." She had carefully chosen her words even if she knew they would come out twisted. There were just some tales that just were not meant to be told in all their 'glory'.
Natalia sat there with a blank expression on her eyes. Except for her blinking, she stayed focused on the same thing. Or so her eyes said. She stretched her arms out as if looking for something. As much as she loved her blanket, and her kiwi... She was missing her toys from home.
Ceres stretched her out hand when she saw Natalia reach out. "Empty space..." She whispered. "I bet you're a bit bored, aren't you." She leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. "Don't worry... We've got this covered."
Sky didn't give Ceres a chance, as he had been paying attention all along. He grinned, and started digging around in the bag. Unlike Ceres' other children who mostly enjoyed shiny, or hard toys... Natalia was different. She preferred things that were soft. Things with texture she could feel to see. Though she wouldn't pass up anything that was given to her. With a nod, Sadoko responded without taking her eyes off the infant. "Yes, time causes things to get watered down." Afterall, she herself was the product of such watering down. Even watching the parent-child interaction was quite interesting.
"I hope not to offend, but is your child visually impaired?" It seemed that the inability for the little girl's eyes to focus on any particular object was what did it for her.
Mmmmmm. The toy was very tasty. Yet as with all good things, Ari needed a break. Growing very vaguely bored, he did as his brother had done earlier with the raccoon toy and tossed it out of his carrier. The toy landed right next to Toshiro, the space-cadet.
"Bwee!" Ari announced, very proud of his accomplishment.Hearing the sound of the object falling on the floor seemed to get the boy's attention. He had done well to zone out the conversation going on but somehow the toy was just something out of place. His eyes connected to the toy and then he simply picked it up. "hm?" Finding that it was what Ari was holding he attempted to return it to the boy thinking he had dropped it. "Here you go..." Afterwards he glanced up to the person whom had given the boy in the first place. "So... Do you people come here a lot for check ups? Is that normal or do you have a special case?" Though he enjoyed going out he wasn't looking forward to having to come in for regular check up often. He had to wear shoes and shirts to come along... such a hassle...
"bmm bmm bmm" Damien's chubby hand continued to waggle his shiny object to and fro. His own eyes seemed to sparkle in amazement at the toy. "Yes, she is visually impaired... At the moment." Ceres felt the need to add the last part before venturing forth into the rest of it. "But, when she is is of age she will be able to use the eyes of others as I do."
Sky handed Ceres a toy that was noisier than the ones she'd given the boys. He knew Natalia wouldn't like it any other way. She only loved her kiwi and blanket because it was her comfort, and it was hers.
"Where I came from I am not limited in what I can see. I can see from one end of the island, to the other." Ceres said as she looked from Sky to Natalia. She rattled the metal ring bells with rings softly in front of her face. "But, here I have only Sky's eyes because I do not use eyes without permission."
Her mother's voice trailed from her ears as she heard the bells. Natalia grabbed at the thing, and missed a couple of times. Finally she was successful. She began to laugh happily. She bounced a bit as her arms moved rapidly so that toy would make more noise.
"I come here a lot not really for the checkups but for the company. I want to make sure Natalia in her later years will have people whom she can call friends, and learn to trust." Ceres and Sky both laughed a moment as they watched Natalia. "Because, where we come from there aren't but two other humans besides ourselves (including her seven grown children), and we count them as family..." She paused for a moment. "There is another... My mother and father, but they are very difficult to see."All Sadoko did was nod at the response that Ceres gave. She had no further questions herself.
Well, wonders never ceased! Here he had thrown the shiny out of the carrier to stop playing with it, and here it was again! It was almost like he had just gotten a new toy all over. Grabbing onto the colorful toy, he swung his arms about a bit and squealed happily.
"Eeeeeee!!!"The boy nodded. "Oh... friends are important..." He smiled thinking of the ones he had made over the years. His most recent ones seemed to be the most important in his life. "My dad and I used to travel a lot. During the days I got to do about anything I wanted so I got to meet a lot of people when I went out. But, I don't think I went to any place like this to make friends"
Quite content Damien continued waggling his toy about. How wonderful it was that it was so shiny. "bweeeee" For now toys were the only friends he needed or really wanted. Hurray for toys!"I can travel anywhere so long as there is a mirror. But, I choose not to unless I know something about the place. It is a security measure." Ceres said as she closed up her bag, and set it aside.
Natalia's attention span was short lived with the bells. She decided it was best not to throw, instead she sat them down. That way she would have a general idea where they were when she wanted them again. She leaned forward till she was in the position she could crawl. She felt around for something else that was familiar.
Sky looked down when he felt tiny hands grab a handful of his tail, and give it a tug. He gave a wicker as he waited to see what it was she was wanting.Having never been one for much travel, seeing as her childhood didn't allow it, Sadoko remained relatively quiet. Going places where her feet could take her was good enough for now. It would only be a few years until she'd need to head to new places to further her career and education.
Playing would have kept Ari quite content, except for the fact his little tummy began to gurgle. It meant it was meal time. And there was only one way of letting the big people know that his tummy wanted milk.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Seeing as Toshiro was finally part of the conversation, and that she didn't want to prevent such from happening, Sadoko went to tending to dark-haired infant. Leaning over the carrier, she took a few sniffs to make certain it wasn't a dirty diaper. The air near the baby smelled quite clean. This only meant one other thing. Lofting up the infant, she grabbed the long cloth that was underneath him. It took a bit of maneuvering, but soon enough she had the cloth wrapped over the infant and her younger son was able to easily have a meal without everyone else being able to see.
Greedily, the infant began to guzzle up his meal.Such a form of travel was instantly deemed strange by the boy. His head cocked to the side and he stared at her. "So... how does that work?" If it was easy enough he was tempted to try for himself.
Still content Damien continued playing and babbling. "eebee ebee bebbee""I cannot explain it... When we become of age our magic is stable enough, and thus a mirror is forged for us. It is our mirror, and if it shatters we cannot travel again." Ceres decided to leave out the part that the maidens previous to her except for her mother used them to lure men in just for child bearing purposes.
Natalia let out a squeal as she pulled hard on the tail she had in her hand. She had managed to stand, and was doing a little dance instep that was very wobbly.
Sky let out a whicker as his tail was pulled even harder. Possessive and strong... he thought mentally. "Good job." He said aloud as he offered his hand to help keep her steady. "Responsibility, it sounds like..." Sadoko offered as a simple statement. She glanced to the side, soon enough to come across a new face of a nurse. "Sadoko Misaki!" It seemed like it was time for them to go to their appointment now.
Standing herself up while still holding onto Ari, she said her goodbyes for now. "It was nice meeting you Ceres, Sky, and little Natalia. Perhaps we will meet again, and perhaps in a less sterile location."
The little piglet didn't seem to care that his meal had gotten up and was now moving slightly. Underneath the blanket, all his needs were there, so a little movement wasn't a bad thing. It kind of seemed unfair. Why couldn't he have a mirror that let him go wherever he wanted? Then again mirrors were usually glass and knowing his luck it would get smashed within a week. He let out a soft sigh, just as Sadoko was called over. "Oop" Knowing he would have to come along he took up both carriers and followed behind. Just before getting in the door he paused and turned around. "Oh yeah, bye guys..." He would have waved but his hands were both in use.
Whee~ Now he was in motion again. His eyes enjoyed taking in the passing scenery. "geeee~""Fare thee well in your travels. May fortune smile upon you, and your family Sadoko and Toshiro." Ceres said toward the direction of the door.
Sky cleared his throat as another Nurse called their name. "I believe that is us."

I'm... a Daddy? Bedtime ramblings to oneself
They are finally here... finally... Its seemed like forever and then.. bam... The day it happened it was kind of scary. I wanted to do my best and I guess I was worring about everything a little too much. It tired me out a bit much.
After a few hours of stressing there they were. I didn't realize that babies were so tiny... I thought they were bigger. No one said anything was wrong so they must be healthy. They were crying a lot but then they calmed down. So cute....
Kaila came with Sadoko and I.. Daikenkai... was... well Daikenkai. I wish he could have come... I think I would have felt better with him there but he had his reasons... I guess. Kaila came with a whole lot of presents... like almost too many presents. She said she didn't know if they were boys or girls, then again none of us did... Anyways she got presents for girl and boy babies. She took back the girl baby stuff after she found out both were boys. Thats alright... she probably spent lots of money since it was a lot of stuff. To be honest i'm not too good knowing on how much stuff costs so I could be wrong...
I was glad when we could finally go home. I stayed with Sadoko all the time I was allowed to. Giving birth seems hard from what Ive seen on TV. I didn't want her to be scared or feel alone though she really didn't fully seem either. She did seem to feel pain from it ... a little bit... We both we really tired afterwards.
Once we got home things seemed to calm down a bit. I got some sleep.. that was nice.. but it seems my nights of sleep are going to be few. Even though the babies aren't in my room I can hear them pretty good... and all they do is cry... and poop... I already have decided I don't like changing daipers... Dai has made himself comfortable in the babies room.. I kind of miss him sharing the bed with me. I hope Ari and Damien grow up enough to sleep alone soon...

The Casbah Club A Private Roleplay - Starts here!Keeta sat at the bar in the club, Joel asleep in a carseat in the counter. She knew it was strange to have a baby in a bar, but this is where her "family" was, so it settled ok in her mind. It had been a slow night, so she had offered to fill in, letting the scheduled person go home. She'd been hoping Tess or someone else from the family would come in, but so far no luck. Even Kael was out on one of his expeditions.Night. The time when he was truly alive. It was odd for him to go to someplace where he'd actually have to pay, but he had been told to give this place a shot. What was even stranger was he had been told by Sadoko of this particular club. And the strangest part of all; Sadoko had volunteered to spend her day off from all her usual responsibilities tending after the Obsidian and Pyrite. It wouldn't look good on him if he was seen with them in public, after all.
Wearing his hair in the usual pigtails, he seemed more like a date for his companion who he had decided to lock arms with. What was the harm in seeming like a flirt with Toshiro? Wearing a rather cute red tank-top with the words "Heart breaker" and a short black skirt, he definitely seemed to be doing what he did best: Cross-dressing.
"Ain't ye glad she gave us the evenin' off, Toshiro?" A smirk spread across his black lips. It had been but a month since Toshiro complained about the two of them not being able to do much thanks to those crying responsibilities that pooped by the pounds. Either way, it was an evening for them to relax... Hooray it was time for some fun~ The boy had almost given up hope for having time to go venturing out to a bar again but out of no where the chance emerged. There was no way he was going to turn it down. With a smile on his face Toshiro happily escorted his date to... wherever it was they were going. The boy paused in step when the question reached his mind. "Wait... where is this place again?"
Since they were going to a bar and most had that whole "no shirt no shoes" sort of thing Toshiro tossed on a tank top for a shirt, the bare minimum. His physique and tattooed left arm were easily visible, awesome. Following down the boy he wore a pair of black jeans that had a hole emerging in the left knee. Romping around was too much fun and something had to pay the price. Down further was a pair of slip on shoes, anything easy to get by the "no shoes" part. Keeta stood up as two men entered the bar and smiled a little. Hopefully they'd stick around for a while, so it wouldn't be so quiet in here 'til closing. She glanced at Joel, making sure he was still asleep, before wandering over to them.
"Evening gentlemen, what can I do for you?" she asked. Keeta looked them over, she didn't think she'd ever seen them in the Casbah before, but it was always good to get new customers. She had taken a second glance at the one in a skirt and realized after closer examination, she...was a he. Pretending not to notice, she smiled politely and waited for their responses. To his partner in crime, he replied "Weren't ye payin' attention t'the walk?" After that, he offered a shrug. "T'was Sadoko's suggestion, afterall..."
And then he heard the greeting. Narrowing his eyes at the young girl, he frowned. He wasn't merely looking at the bartender, but he was glaring at her now. Obviously if someone was wearing what he was, they weren't looking to be addressed as a "gentleman." However, if he responded to her, she'd be getting exactly as she wished. So instead, he'd leave Toshiro to do any sort of greeting if he wanted. Daikenkai just sat himself on a stool, giving the tender a cold shoulder of sorts. Being the friendlier of the two Toshiro happily gave a wave and returned the greeting. "Hi!" His eyes took to glancing over the scenery. This place was indeed different from the bar he was used to going to. Not only did it look cleaner it smelled nicer too.
The boy spoke back to Daikenkai though he wasn't particularlly looking towards him. "I was kinda paying attention... I just didn't know where exactly it was so... I just asked to make sure..." Eventually his eyes set on the bar and his feet led the way over to it. With his arm interlocked with Daikenkai's he wound up leading him along. At the bar a strange thing stood out. "whoa.... a baby... who is dumb enough to bring a baby to the bar?" He laughed not thinking to link the child to the only other person in the bar. And so, he turned to the bartender and began to joke about it. "We left ours at home where its nice... well not to say it isn't really nice in here its just that a bar really isn't the place to bring a baby from what i've come to understand. Smoke and booze.. psssh..." As soon as the person in the skirt glared at her, Keeta realized the mistake she had made. It wasn't intentional...it had just kind of slipped out. She wanted to say sorry, but Daikenkai's friend apparently hadn't noticed and she figued that drawing attention to it, by apologizing would make it worse, so she just turned her attention to the second person who had entered.
About to ask them if she could get them anything, her train of thought was interrupted by the man's comment about somone being stupid, bringing their baby to a bar. Trying not to glare at the man, she answered his question by silently going over to Joel and lifting him out of his carrier, doing her best not to wake him in the process. Keeta raised an eyebrow in the man's direction, as if daring him to comment further. The crossdresser could care less about there being a baby at the bar. However, his partner really did need to work on keeping things quiet. Upon mentioning their own kids, he bumped the boy a bit harshly at the hip to get a particular point across, the subject he had just spoken of was taboo.
Just then, his falsely crimson eye caught upon something. Internally, a cruel smile wanted to curl upon his lips, but instead, he kept his serious expression upon his lips. He'd wait a bit, take a look around to see if there were any signs that'd prevent him from enjoying this trip further. Trying to distract the others from what he was seeking, he uttered "Toshiro, sit yer a** down and tell the 'tender what ye want." It truly was one of those "foot in mouth" situations. Though he still believed in his comments he kept any further ones to himself. Instead he plopped his bottom down and stared at the bar's counter surface. "hmm.... uh... um... yeah..." Bringing his hands up he began to tap his fingers on the counter. "Long island iced tea?""Long Island Iced Tea coming up," Keeta said, a small smile returning to her face. There was no point in creating an unpleasant atmosphere, over what she hoped was a misunderstanding. She set Joel back down in his carrier, where he fussed for a moment, before dropping back to sleep. She turned to Daikenkai and cleared her throat before addressing....him? her?
"Would you like anything?" She'd start making Toshiro's drink as soon as she knew whether she would have a second order. Not seeing any evident posted signs, he rather openly reached into his skirt from the top and down even further into his panties. When his hands came up, they held a lighter and a pack of cigarettes. Glancing up and making certain he had this bartender's attention, he then opened up his packet and began to light up a cigarette.
"Vodka" was the only word that would escape Daikenkai at this point. One would have never guessed he was careful about not smoking indoors when at home from how he was behaving at the moment. It wasn't long before he had inhaled and exhaled, leaving a trail of smoke in the air near where he sat. Usually it wouldn't have bothered Toshiro if Daikenkai had lit up a cig in a bar. However, there was a baby just a few feet from him. He glanced between the two repetitively and then stared at Dai. "uuh..." Toshi wasn't sure if he should say something or not. Sometimes little things got Dai into a poor mood and he really didn't want such on their free evening."So...you smoke around your babies at home, too? I believe he said you had children." Keeta said to Daikenkai, with an edge in her voice, nodding towards Toshiro. She moved the carrier further down the bar, away from the smoke, before moving to get their drinks. Sbe'd give him a couple moments to see if he would alter his behavior. Trying to not let his thoughts deceive his expression, Daikenkai couldn't help but grumble in his mind about how Toshiro had screwed things up here.
"He calls them 'our' kids... but I'm just the nanny, m'dear. A live-in nanny, tis all." He was pretty good at lying through his teeth, but it would take two to play this game. Hopefully Toshiro would remember the problem with the crossdresser laying claim on either of the children at home.
Continuing on with the lie, he added "If I were paid t'take care of yer kid, then I'd not smoke in front of... it... seeing as then I'd be paid t'take care, rather than t'harm." With that, he took another puff. He was quite stubborn, and even more stubborn when set off, which he already had been. The boy groaned. Not only was he unhappy with Daikenkai's chioce to continue smoking with a baby around he had coem to realize his mistake. Why did things have to be so complicated? He let out a sigh then sat up straight and patted his cheeks to snap himself into thinking more on the moment and his upcoming drink. "drink drink drink..." His fingers took to tapping on the bar counter. It would be ther ein a moment and then he could begin to fuzz his brain's thoughts. To pass the time... conversation was always good. "So.... why do you think Sadoko likes it here? Is it because it's empty?" He gave a small chuckle.Keeta couldn't say more to the smoker, as there were no rules against smoking in the bar, but there was definitely an underlying tension in the room. She had no reason not to believe the story about the nanny, especially since the one telling it seemed to be the more lucid of the two. Still...if s/he was a nanny, Keeta thought s/he'd care more for children in general. A moment later, she set the drinks down on the bar, maybe with a little more force than necessary, but she turned to the non-smoker having thought she'd heard him mention a familiar name.
"Sadoko? As in the one who was getting her pre-natal care at the Gaia Maternity and Fertility Clinic?"Turning to Toshiro, the slender man brought to light the reality of why they were there: "Sadoko's never been 'ere before, she said she heard about it when she went back t'school. A couple girls were tryin' t'get her t'come 'ere, but she refused, as expected." His eyes glanced down to the drink as it was set down, but he didn't pick it up yet. He would have spoken up again, but instead found himself listening to some words which the tender offered.
"I take it tis where ye went when ye found out about yers?" He paused and took a drag, then added "Do ye have a boy or a girl?" He sounded minimally interested at best, but any who knew him well enough knew that he bothered to ask, so he did want to know. "uh... I guess it was her unless theres another person with that name..." The boy shrugged to the bartender thent ook up his drink. First he took a small sip to sample how she had prepared it. It wasn't too bad but still not as good as the one he had recieved in another bar. As he began to sip away at his beverage his eyes glanced over towards the child. "They didn't seem to be all too discomforted by the cigarette smoke in the air. Perhaps all that was needed was some distance to keep a child happy." "Yes, the GMFC was where I recieved prenatal care for my boy....Joel, if you're wondering his name." Keeta replied, the edge in her voice betraying the annoyance she was trying to keep under control. She went over to the carrier and gently removed Joel from it so they could get a better look at him. Maybe that would bring about some sort of interest in the well-being of the child. Joel fussed slightly, opening his three eyes breifly and Keeta cooed at him, trying to soothe him back to sleep. After a couple of moments, his eyes were closed again and he rested peacefully in Keeta's arm. She gave Daikenkai another look that said she would appreciate the cigarette being put out, then turned to the grey-haired man.
"Perhaps distance is enough. I don't know enough about the effects of smoke to say for sure, but I think I might take him upstairs before too long, regardless....
"As for Sadoko, I believe she was having twins. Did the Sadoko you speak up have twins? I keep hoping to run into her so that I could see them. She was a real comfort to me my first visit to the clinic...." Seeming disinterested in the infant, he turned away and let out a small trail of smoke from his lips. Why did it seem that all infants had mutations of some sort these days. Their own kids weren't exactly mutation-free, though mutation wasn't really what it should have been called. Daikenkai did know better.
He did grin mentally in a wicked manner, fully knowing the answer to the mother's indirect question about the effects of smoke in the air. He might have been addicted, but it didn't mean he was ignorant about what cigarettes did. Yet, even with the cruel smile curling his mind's lips, his actual lips remained almost a straight line.
"Kid looks nothin' like ye" was the first thing he offered. The thin man paused to take another drag, then added "...he fathered twins, last I checked... I'm sure yer dying t'find out more about the kids, so I'm certain 'Daddy' 'ere will be more than willin' t'share." Finally, he picked up his glass with dainty fingers and brought it to his lips for a sip. There sure was a lot of talk about children... wierd children. He had actually hoped to get away from them this evening. To at least save himself from a few moments of talking about babies he drank down his beverage. Once it was gone he no longer had an excuse not to talk.
"Well... she had them a while back. Both are boys. One of them really looks like me, which is neat... I probably looked like him as a baby. The other one looks more like her, dark hair and what not." He knew his boys had strange fingernails and somewhere layed a hint of demonic genes but he didn't want them to seem strange... he wanted them to be normal and not have to worry about such. As he thought on such he seemed to stare off for a while. Eventually he snapped out of his thoughts and looked back up to the bartender with a change of subject. "May I have another drink please?"Inwardly cursing Daikenkai, Keeta outwardly only gave him a curt "Oh?" when he mentioned that he thought she and Joel looked nothing alike. Funny, she thought, her mind voice laced with sarcasm, I thought our hair color and ears looked quite similar. Why in the world am I alone here tonight? Oh right, I sent the other girl home. Don't think I'll be doing that in the future....
She tuned to Toshiro. "Well that's nice that you each have a boy that takes after you," she said, kindly, offering him a smile. "Another drink? Sure. Same as before?" keeta asked, walking over to the carrier and setting Joel down once more.
"It sounds like you and I are talking about the same Sadoko, sir. Maybe you could tell her hi for me, and that if you two are willing, I'd like to have a chance to let the boys play together when they're a bit older."Ah yes, he was definitely irritating this lady, which inwardly made him smile. Outwardly, still not even a hint of amusement. However, it seemed his smoke would shortly be ending. The cigarette was almost done, and he really wasn't in the mood for a second one. Pity he muttered silently in his mind.
To continue to grit on her nerves a bit, Daikenkai uttered "I'll think about it" in a manner which almost sounded like "fat chance." Perhaps the response wouldn't get as much of a reaction as he hoped, seeing as Toshiro would probably say "Sure thing" or something positive. He glanced around in search of an ash tray, and once located, he snuffed out his addiction. "Yeah, another of the same" He paused to think of her offer of letting the boys play together. Friends were always good to have and perhaps the boys could be friends. It seemed like a good idea. "I think that sounds like a good idea to let them play together. Maybe they'll be friends" The man smiled to the bartender. Chances were that the nanny may come along to the play date as well.Keeta didn't even turn to Daikenkai when he spoke. The kids weren't even his, supposedly. Instead she turned to get Toshiro his drink. She mixed it while he thought and smiled broadly at his response.
"Great!" she said, clearly happy. Keeta finished mixing his drink and placed it in front of him, before grabbing a napkin and scribbling something on it.
"Here's my number so you or Sadoko can call me, if you want to get together. Or you can generally find me here." She was very excited at the prospect of Joel having some friends.Being left without a cigarette, the feminine figure gave his beverage more consideration. It didn't take long for his beverage to dwindle off. Sliding his glass forward, he uttered "Same as before." Manners weren't his thing and he was only proving to be just like a majority of bar-goers.
Of course, he was pretending to not be listening to the conversation, but he couldn't help but wonder if he could eventually snatch the napkin and toss it out. Perhaps blame the lack of the napkin on laundry. Leaning in against one of his hands, he completed the image of boredom. Taking the napkin the boy carefully folded it before stuffing it into his pocket. "Nice" With a smile he took his second drink and began to quickly sip away. After taking his fill for the moment he set it back down on the counter. "You mix these pretty good..." He felt a little silly afterwards remembering that she was a bartender after all.
Feeling pretty good at this point he began to slide his finger over the rim of the glass. Eventually his glance turned towards Daikenkai giving him a small smile. It was a bit hard to hide the strange love he felt for the cross dresser.Keeta silently raised an eyebrow and looked over at Daikenkai when he asked for another drink. She half considered ignoring his request, but knew it could get her in trouble, so she grudgingly moved away from Toshiro to fix the drink. The elf-girl smiled at him when he complimented her drink mixing skills.
"I try. If I didn't I'd likely be out of a job," she said with a shrug, finishing Daikenkai's drink and placing it in front of him. As she did, she cast another glace at Toshiro and caught the expression in his eyes that was directed at Daikenkai.
Why is he making eyes at the nanny? And a rude one at that? He aparently has Sadoko and two boys... she couldn't help wonder to herself. Keeta held her tongue, however. It was none of her business. She just hoped if she visited Sadoko that she wouldn't need to have interactions with the crossdresser again. It was doubtful he'd be more plesant on his own turf.
"Can I get you anything else?" Keeta asked, breaking the silence. "If not, I think I'm going to take Joel upstairs and then start closing up. I know it's a little early, but I'm here on my own and need to get the baby home."It was fortunate for the bartender that the crossdresser had not noticed his partner's eyes, for it could have led to him being even more of a pain than he had been before. When he got his drink, he didn't hesitate to put it away, and this time much more quickly. He had a high tolerance for alcohol, despite his thin frame, and so when the bartender asked about anything else, he lifted his shot glass and uttered yet again "Same as before." Daikenkai was not a light drinker, which probably made up for the fact that Sadoko just flat out didn't drink. Upon hearing the talk of closing up and Daikenkai's order for another drink before the bartender left he decided doing the same was best. "yeah, yeah... i'd like another one too before you go out. I'll be good after that" Well.. such wasn't the truth. He would most likely be drunk off his arse. Oh well... they were paying for their drinks and most did come to get buzzed if not drunk.Keeta nodded, wondering how well they would take these final drinks and whether she would need to be calling any cabs. They both looked like they could be relative lightwights based on their figures, but one never knew. It didn't really matter, knowing she would serve them regardless, and began to get their drinks.
"You're welcome to stay as long as you need to to finish them. I'm not going to kick you out or anything. Just not going to mix anymore after this. Should I call a cab while you're drinking or do you have a ride?" she asked, setting Daikenkai's drink in front of him and beginning to get Toshiro's.Picking up the shot glass delicately and looking at the liquid inside with a careful eye, he uttered "Whatever ye want, sweet cheeks." He took the glass to his lips, and once more the alcohol seemed to vanish like magic. First he took a look at Toshiro, knowing his limit was probably coming up, then he took a look at the bartender. His expression was about the same as when they arrived, which was disinterested and uncaring. However, his eyes still seemed to be quite alert.
"S'pose we owe ye some money, right?" Without hesitation, he reached into the top of his skirt and began to dig for something. It was something he commonly had to do since he had a lack of pockets and rarely used a purse. Once his fingers had fished something, the hand pulled up and out came a bill. It was actually quite a large bill, but he didn't even seem concerned as he set it on the counter.
"There." With his two drinks infront of him he was now a happy boy. With a smile he tended to his second drink. Bringing it up to his lips he slowly sipped away at it. "ahh~ You can go we're alright" With a smile he turned to glance over towards Daikenkai again. "Should we take a cab? Right now I can walk but iunno about later... but if we wait a while it'll be fine..." After speaking he turned around to look around the bar. How were the restrooms there?...Sweet cheeks? Keeta felt her face turn red with whether pleasure, anger or embarsssment she wasn't quite sure. Mostly because she couldn't decide how the cross dresser meant it, considering his passively hostile attitude.
Her confusion was forgotton when she saw the bill Daikenkai placed on the bar counter. It was clearly, more than the value of their drinks. Keeta shifted uncomfortably. She didn't want to offend him if he had meant the balance as a tip, but she in no way wanted to assume he meant to leave anything for her. Taking the bill, she went to the register and removed the change, placing it on the counter, where Daikenkai could get it if he wanted.
As she waited for them to decide about the cab, she saw Toshiro looking around the room as if searching for something.
"You need something?" she asked. Not showing a hint of amusement, he couldn't help but inwardly cackle about the color that came to the tender's face. It was the effect he was aiming for. However, when she brought back change, he rolled his eyes a bit. If he had wanted change, he would have been the type to ask for it. So when the change was placed in reach, he rather conveniently looked the other way like a cat that just didn't get its way. Not being one to read his friend's mind, he didn't bother to answer. How the hell was he supposed to know what Toshiro was looking for? Unable to directly see a restroom either from simply missing it or being too buzzed to take everything in the boy turned around to answer. "Bathroom" It was a short answer but all that was needed. A bit of a chuckle followed. As if he needed to go right then he got himself up.Keeta noticed Daikenkai turn away, but she wouldn't compound her error by picking up the money now. She'd just take it when they had gone. Pointing to a hallway just past the bar, Keeta spoke to Toshiro.
"It's just in there, first door on the right," she said with a nod. "Maybe we need to get better signs in here..."He would wait until Toshiro was in the bathroom before stating one truth he figured from this lady's lack of description: She obviously had her kid on accident, and it would seem she had little to no relations with the father at all. Afterall, if there was even a slight hint of being on decent terms with the father, his comment from earlier would have probably been greeted with a "Oh, it's because he looks like his father."
For now, he remained in his seat at the bar, seemingly uninterested, but he was like a snake that was ready to strike. It would be a lovely way to leave things for the evening. With a smile Toshiro slowly got himself up and wandered off in the direction shown. "Lets see what kinda bathroom ya've got here..." His steps were slow and his breathing had deepened. The first drink was hitting him.
Pushing the door open he wandered into the restroom. He first paused and took in its layout. With various ideas hitting him he giggled and then went over to a toilet. After emptying his bladder he exited the bathroom and returned to the bar with a smirk. "Bathrooms seem nice...."By the time Toshiro returned, Keeta had headed over to Joel and busied herself with strapping him in the carseat properly for the ride home. She didn't know what devious intentions were on Daikenkai's mind. When Toshiro returned, she looked up at him and gave him a slightly bemused smile.
"We try to keep them that way," she said, shrugging slightly.Placing his arm around Toshiro's waist as he came back, the crossdresser seemed to smile that wicked smile of his. "Come on, m'dear, should git on our way..." He glanced to the busy bartender and tossed out what seemed to be a casual question:
"Can I see a picture of yer husband? I want t'see who the kid takes after." His voice didn't say it, but his smile seemed to be confident, nearly cocky. Perhaps it was the alcohol but he was rather amused that the bar tried to keep thier bathroom's clean... or maybe it was his mild daydreams of making them rather messy and imagining them cleaning it. Either way he seemed to have a mischievous smile.
With Dai's hand around his waist he slowly leaned forward to get his last drink. "Thank you for the drinks, and thank you for keeping the bar open even though its just you... it must kinda stink, especially with a baby to tend to. At least I've got Sadoko or Daikenkai to make sure they are safe and happy" It may have been interesting to see how Keeta imagined how Daikenkai kept a baby safe and happy with his present actions.
What was this now? A picture of her husband? that sounded sweet. Being more genuinely concerned Toshiro nodded his head and chirped in. "yeah! do you have a picture of the babies daddy! I know my one boy looks just like me!" He let out a soft drunken giggle. "He must be handsome... except for.. that like eye thing... weird... uh!" He paused and seemed to change his focus a bit. "well.. weird for me.. just... uh.. cuz I haven't seen another eye like that... but... that makes him special right?" Wait.. was the baby a boy or a girl... he never really asked... fudge... damed booze! "uuuhhhh....""It was fine to keep the bar open. It is when we say we'll be open after all. And Joel's not much trouble," she smiled at Toshiro and turned to grab the diaper bag.
Keeta froze when Daikenkai asked her for a picture of Joel's father, Toshiro parroting the request. She looked up at the pair, her face slightly flushed and she saw the smug grin on Daikenkai's face. Damn him. She looked down again, trying to play it cool, but adjusting the straps on the carrier more than was probably necessary.
"I don't have one," she said flatly.Daikenkai took his loose hug and turned it into something slightly more sensual by rubbing his fingers firmly against Toshiro's washboard stomach. It was so easy to keep himself amused with his lover there. He pretended to not notice, but from the corner of his eyes, he saw the panicked expression in the young bartender's eyes. Certainly, she seemed to try and move to covering up quite quickly, distracting herself, using vague statements, and most of all, keeping her eyes off of his.
Somewhat repeating her previous statement, Daikenkai aimed to reveal the exact meaning, even though in his mind, he was quite certain what the meaning was: "Ye 'don't have one?' Shall I take it as ye don't have a picture, or ye don't have a husband?" This time, he didn't even let that smug grin adorn his black lips. He had already won, or he had convinced himself of such. Distracted for a few moments the boy began to purr softly. Adding to what confusion there may be he seemed to grow excited by such as his pants tightened slightly. Then again he was drunk after all. Eventually his brain caught up to the topic again. "oh... that sucks..." He stared off for a few moments and then added "heh... I don't think I have any pictures of.. well... anyone. My father said people weren't allowed to take pictures of me so I didn't bother with pictures. He was wierd like that..."Keeta didn't answer for a long time. She was a terrible liar and knew that even if she told him something that would made Joel "legitimate" he wouldn't believe her.
"I don't have either," she said shortly, not looking up and so completely missing the 'show' Daikenkai was attempting to put on with Toshiro. Why did Toshiro have to bring up that person? Snorting mildly in disgust, he nearly hissed out the words "David was quite th'hypocrite, now wasn't he?" Shaking his head quite noticeably, he turned to face the bartender once more. She owned up to it, which meant she had guts. However, now she'd have to deal with the crossdresser's assessment.
"Such a prim and proper young lady I take it?" he said in a surprisingly clear voice. No slur, no accent, just a seemingly well-spoken question. Continuing on, he added "You will be quite the role-model for your boy. I sincerely hope he makes decisions as well planned as his mother's were." He laughed a bit in a cruel manner, before nudging Toshiro a bit. Leaning in so his black lips were nearly touching the boy's silver-adorned ear, he whispered "We should go, love." His sarcasm probably wouldn't allow them to stay at that location too much longer. Toshiro was far too far gone to keep up in the conversation anymore. His mind was set on one thing and it meant he would have to move at least out of this room. "Okay Dai..." He leaned into his friend/lover/babysitter with a smile. "Bye nice lady...." The boy giggled a bit then slowly turned himself, forcing Dai to move with him, and slowly began to walk towards the bathroom. That was the way they were going right? or was it home? their bathroom was alright... it was good to pee in... "bathroom?" His eyes now half open he glanced to Dai. "or.... no... I don't have to pee yet so... uh..." The liquor lingered on his breath as he breathed into Dai's face.Keeta froze again, but this time, it was in barely restrained anger. She stood to look at him directly, trembling, her fists clenched at her sides.
"You b*****d!" she spat, her eyes glinting dangerously. It took a LOT to get Keeta angry, but when she was, she didn't mess around. She wished she had someone to restrain her, because it was requiring almost all her concentration to keep herself from attacking the cross-dresser...and despite his lean and toned body, she doubted he had the fighting background she did.
"You have no idea about who I am or what my life has been like! How dare you come in here, to what I consider my second home, and spout s**t like that. Look at your own choices and tell me I shouldn't judge you for them?!Get the hell out of my bar!"Turning so he was facing his friend, he brought a hand up and squeezed the boy's cheeks a bit as he swayed it from one side to the other.
"Nay, tis time t'go, love" he said calmly, almost seeming to ignore the bartender's rage. He was never the physically strong type, but he attempted to hoist the young man up so he was somewhat propped up on his shoulder. Only once he figured he was as best situated as he could be, he then turned to Keeta with a smirk on his pierced lip.
"Have a good evenin', M'dear." Most likely they wouldn't be returning. There were reasons why it was best for the crossdresser to remain at his usual bar, and this was one of them. He was an utter a**hole. Boy there was a lot of noise going on. "Did someone leave the TV on?" Totally in his own little world the drunken boy made his way to the door with his human crutch.
It most likely was the best that a fight didn't break out. He was out of it but if someone attempted to hurt him or Dai he wouldn't have the sense to think over the possibility of not fighting. Well built, flexible, and unfortunatly used as an assasin Toshiro was not one to pick a fight with. He was a bit slow though... and in being drunk as well who knows how the bar would have managed if he started taking out his anger on a stool thinking it was a person.
Either way... the two were now slowly making thier way home. "I hope I don't have to change a diaper tonight..."Still trembling, Keeta watched them go, not saying another word. A long minute passed after they disappeared, before Keeta sank to the floor, sobbing over Joel's carrier.

Data Entry ----
I'm already finding it increasingly more difficult to hide the fact that I have a child now, and I think it is the company that I keep which is proving to be the problem. I really need to get it into Toshiro's head that it is an extreme disservice for the rest of the household. It is not to be public knowledge that Ari is my child.
I only realize this after being with him at the bar. I can see him getting drunk and speaking more openly about the subject. And speaking of the bar, I found Keeta, as it apparently is her name, to be distasteful. I already went through Toshiro's pockets and got rid of the phone number. I just hope I got rid of it quick enough. It does amuse me that this lady was in a worse situation than Sadoko had been in, which was very difficult to accomplish.
We took Rock and Wolf to get their ears pierced. Sterling silver, solely upon Sadoko's request. She might not think she's overly worried, but she is. Getting her back to her studies will be the best thing for the household! It is fortunate she is taking an interest in the children, which is more than I expected. Doesn't matter to me either way. Either way, both boys now have studs in their left ears. When they are older, they can get more, but for now, I get to take care of cleaning their ears and making certain there aren't any infections. Just one more chore for me I suppose, but they'll be able to start taking care of it soon enough.
Personally, I can't wait until these runts start growing and taking care of themselves a bit. Most parents seem to treasure their kids when they are young, I say, they should grow up faster so everyone can move on with their lives. Getting attached just makes everything more difficult later on.

~To my journal, Shichi~
I am finally back to school full-time. And work full-time too. It has been difficult, but I have managed solely because of Toshiro and Daikenkai's efforts. Personally, I feel that Toshiro has really grown up a lot. Certainly, he's still quite naive, but I don't think he'll ever change. I have also noticed that Daikenkai seems to be more exhausted these days. Which is to be expected, and I am thankful for such. If it were not for him, I'd be the one feeling all the exhaustion.
The twins are getting much more active. I wouldn't be surprised if they start crawling around soon. Damien even rolled over on his own the other day. The boys can't sit up on their own yet, but they can be propped up, which both seem to like. I can somewhat understand, since they finally get a different perspective of the world that way. Ari seems happiest with this change, but I can't quite understand why. I've also noticed that Ari really seems to like brightly colored objects, like some of the boys' toys, and some of the pieces of artwork I've made.
I find myself guessing half the time about the twins. It's not because of their appearances, because they are technically only half siblings. I find myself guessing which one will get their "firsts" first. Like, who would be the first to be able to roll over on their own? I figured Damien, so it was a good and logical guess. Damien seems like the more active one and the stronger of the two. I see him getting to crawling and walking first. Ari, I see him saying his first word first. The only thing that makes me worry is if I'm not around to experience these firsts. I was lucky when it came to Damien, but what if I miss either of their first words. I don't know, I think I would feel like a failure as a mother. Hell, I even wonder at times if I am even meant to be a mother! I know I shouldn't think like this, but I can see myself being the mother who's never there. Certainly, the twins have more than enough parents, with Daikenkai and Toshiro remaining at the house, but is that enough?
Shichi, I know that I am venting out all of my insecurities, and I sincerely thank you for such. Thank you for listening.
A while back, Toshiro came back with Keeta's phone number in his pants pocket, and I wrote it down. He never mentioned it, so I never really mentioned it. I should really give her a call some time and see if maybe we can have our children meet up for a play date in the future. Not right now, but maybe when they are able to walk and talk. I never understood how anybody could let their infants have play-dates at such a young age.
Before I leave you, Shichi, here's a quick sketch I did of the twins while they were napping earlier. They look so peaceful.

The God-Parents A Private Roleplay OOC Note: too many characters to do separate font colors at all times. It had all started with simple invitation from Kaila. However, that simple invitation soon enough became something more complicated than Sadoko wanted to deal with.
Though Sadoko, Toshiro, and Daikenkai had parents no longer, the twins and Lyle still had "parents." True enough, they weren't their birth parents, but they were still part of their family. And Kaila, being the kind soul she was, wanted to include Sadoko in that family.
Staring at the invitation for a moment, she then looked to Toshiro who was across the table from her, she sighed.
"Alright, Toshiro," she proceeded with her explanation, "Mr. and Mrs. Harmon wanted us to come over to their home and to see the babies. According to Kaila, they have some sort of proposition for us." She once more glanced at the boy before continuing. "We need to keep in mind that Daikenkai won't be going, and we have to pretend that you are the only father of the two boys." Perhaps she sounded a bit hesitant or uncertain, but she felt she had valid reasoning for it. The situation was not exactly a simple one to be consistent about when lying. It was the same old record playing over and over don't tell! don't tell! uh-oh!. His head just nodded to such. "yeah yeah... I know..." Such didn't seem to be all too bad. He rather liked going out and meeting new people. One thing however crossed his mind... "Lyle isn't going is he? I hate that d**k..." The boy's arms folded over his chest. He didn't even remember his last run in with Lyle. Such would most likely make things even more awkward. It was rather hard to get a hold of loosing a year or so of his life. With the children being born and all his mind was on them. Now that things were calming down a little his mind wandered towards other things... What happened to his own Father? Sure he was dead but what really happened? It almost seemed like the subject brought up was like rubbing lemon juice in a huge gash Sadoko had on her knee. The frown on her lips, the look of disgust in her eyes, and the sigh that sounded more like a grunt should have been the hint, but she gave him an answer anyways.
"Yes, that low-life is going. These happen to be his adoptive parents, so he's going to be there along with Kaila and Kristal." Not quite realizing what was on Toshiro's mind, she continued on with other expectations.
"You will be expected to wear a shirt, perhaps tie your hair back. Perhaps try to keep your conversation pieces to G-rating at best. Their parents are a bit older and much more domesticated than us, so they probably wouldn't want to hear a conversation about masterbating or eating raw meat." Leaning forward and resting her forehead between both hands, she grumbled out something resembling "I wish we didn't have to do this."Suddenly things didn't seem to be so fun. Keeping his thoughts to himself he went back to the subject at hand. "If you want me to dress up you pick out the clothes... that way you can't complain about them...or anyone else" Groaning he laid down on the couch. "So... when do we have to go anyway?..." He still didn't mind meeting new people... even old people... and if he had to behave that meant Lyle had to as well" Toshiro smirked a bit. What would his parents do if he was bad? David always had rather harsh punishments and being the only parent Toshiro knew such must have been the same for everyone else. Following Toshiro into the living room, Sadoko continued on with explanations to his questions.
"Fine, I don't mind picking your clothing, but I'd think you'd know how to pick your own clothing. And we are going tomorrow, during the daytime. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon are not exactly fond of nocturnal habits such as mine. We will be meeting them around lunch time, bringing the twins with us."
It was early in the evening still, but Sadoko patted Toshiro on the shoulder and began to head to the stairs. "I'm going to sleep for now, you should probably do the same so you don't have bags under your eyes when we are there."Such was a reasonable request. To get the most sleep possible he'd just crash there on the couch. Good enough... Sprawling out he relaxed and attempted to sleep. His mind however didn't want to shut down. It continued to ask questions.. such only seemed to make his stomach twist in a knot. Where was his father?
Strange things began to happen. A piece of paper seemed to fall out of nowhere onto his face. Grumbling he opened his eyes and took a look at it. Your work isn't done Garnet. Be a good boy and do as you are told and everyone will be happy and safe. You will have work in three days and you will do it. <3 Daddy. P.S. eat this so no one finds it silly boy. A shiver ran down his spine. What was all this about? Getting up he crumpled the paper in his hand and began to look out the windows. Where did it come from? Was he lied too? What was going on!?!? Finding no answers he frowned and read the paper ago and then did as it asked... he ate it. blech... Getting to sleep would be hard now.
Despite all of what happened the previous night the boy awoke to the sun's light. When did he fall asleep? Did what he remember really happen or was it just some weird dream? Attempting to shake it off as a dream he wandered over to the refrigerator. Breakfast sounded good...Always being one for punctuality, Sadoko was already in the kitchen eating a fruit salad for breakfast. She was already somewhat dressed up, wearing a summery dress which she kept for such occasions. It looked nice and all, but she felt rather unnatural in such colorful clothing. Blacks, reds, and golds were her colors, but pastel greens with pastel yellows and small pink flower buds was a bit much for her taste.
"Sleep well Toshiro?" she asked between bites, trying to not draw attention to her outfit, even though it was not something she'd usually wear. She didn't have to draw attention to it, he instantly noticed the bright colors against the dull ones of the house. "I slept ok I guess... You look pretty..." He liked bright colors and pretty dresses. It was nice to see a girl in a nice dress for once... and not Dai. Next it was onto breakfast... he wasn't allowed to talk about raw meat but she didn't say he couldn't have it for breakfast. Grabbing such from the refrigerator he opened it up and began to eat away. Manners weren't his best quality as easily noted as he began to talk with a wad of meat in his cheek. "How'd you sleep? Any weird dreams?" "Hopefully you use a napkin, Toshiro" she pointed out as he seemed to get some of his food on his face. She half debated ignoring his question about the dream she had, but figured she could give him an honest answer.
Her statement was flat and had relatively no emotion in it: "I dreamed of how my parents died." She made no big deal of it and simply put a grape into her mouth and began to chew on it. Once she had swallowed it, she then reminded Toshiro of something: "I put your clothing on your bed, and we need to get the twins ready soon as well. And I think we better bring a diaper bag with some toys and diapers in it. Probably some milk as well."
Certainly, the Harmons were of the old-school, but it didn't mean she had to breast feed the kids in front of them. She was more polite than that. His head tilted to the side hearing of her parents. "So... how did they die? Or do you not really know..." Hearing such only made him ponder about his own dream. It was signed Daddy... Weird. As he listened for any sort of answer he finished gobbling down his breakfast and went to the sink to wash his hands and face. Good enough. After a while of getting no answer or hearing something he would go upstairs and tend to getting dressed. What sort of crappy clothes did he have to wear? At first, silence would be the only thing that greeted the boy. However, given enough time, she finally opened up a bit.
"...it was a memory. I was ten when it happened. It was a car ride to some place or another. You know, meaningless errands. There was an accident, and after the initial impact, my dad contorted his body to get me out of the car. He told me to get to safety." Even as she told the story, she seemed to have no emotion to her voice. "...the car shortly exploded afterward. My dad might have been demon-tainted, but he was still human."
She popped a chunk of banana in her mouth and continued to slowly deplete her ration of food.
Upstairs, waiting for Toshiro, would be a nice silken shirt of a more neutral gray-tone and a pair of nice black slacks. A black ribbon was also there so he could do his hair. Why was it that everyone he knew lost their parents? It almost was always horribly. Now that he had kids would a similar fate befall him? As he thought about it he had to laugh... he already had felt great pains and supposedly he had already died. He was safe now right? Still chuckling he got dressed. At least the clothing wasn't too bad and the shirt felt... pretty nice. "smooth" The ribbon was the confusing part. At first he tied it onto his arm and then finally got what it was for. "oh... duh..." Now laughing at himself he took the ribbon off and went to look for Dai. He could tie the ribbon for him... and he could check in on the babies. Seeing as it was the time of day when most of the world was awake, Daikenkai was doing the exact opposite while he had the chance. The twins had been kind enough to sleep for an hour, and probably could go for at least another hour. They were sleeping longer and longer, but even then they still weren't sleeping like an older child would. As he wandered in his laughing stopped. Everyone was asleep. Perhaps Daikenkai wasn't the one to go to. Since everything was quiet and well... and they didn't have to go quiet yet he decided to go back down to Sadoko. She could probably tie his hair back just as good as Daikenkai. By the time Toshiro exited the nursery, Sadoko was already upstairs and heading towards the bathroom. Her teeth needed brushing, otherwise there would be that risk of cavities. Yet out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Toshiro exiting the nursery. She didn't say anything, but she lifted a hand and waved it as a greeting.Upon seeing Sadoko there he paused in step. "Oh hey... I was gunna ask Dai but hes sleeping. Um, can you tie my hair back for me?" His hand extended out with the ribbon she provided. "I don't think I can get it straight if I do it myself". "I suppose I can."
Signaling him to follow her to the bathroom, the girl continued doing as she had planned. She wouldn't start brushing her teeth in front of him, for that was just a tad too rude for Sadoko, but she would get all her utensils ready so she could get started as soon as she was left alone.
Once Toshiro was in the bathroom with her, she snatched up the ribbon in her hands and gave him the simple directions of "Sit on the toilet." Toshiro was definitely taller than her, so it would make it slightly more difficult to judge how "straight" the ribbon was.
"Someday, you will be able to do this yourself, Toshiro. It really isn't all that hard to do if you look into a mirror."The boy did as directed and even listened to what she had to say. "well that doesnt make sense... its behind my head... I can't see through my head" Shrugging his shoulders he turned away from her so she could tie his hair back. "So... what are these guys like? Are they the kind of old thats... a bit spacey or like collectible porcelain ducks or something?" "You aren't restricted to just one mirror, Toshiro," the girl would point out as she used a brush to smooth out the boy's fluffy hair a bit.
"Mr. and Mrs. Harmon aren't senile yet, in fact, they are both only in their forties. However, Mrs. Harmon does enjoy collecting. Not porcelain ducks, but lots of various decorations for the house. I've only been to their home one time prior for a birthday celebration. They are nice, and I know they mean well, but I can't help but feel a bit suppressed when I am in their home."
She paused a bit so she could get the ribbon and begin tying, then she completed her thought: "Fact is, they don't know about any of their children's abilities.""whaaa?" Now that was a bit hard to believe. "How do they not know? Seriously... they are the weirdest group of people I know besides you and Dai..." Well... truth was they were the only other people he really knew around in the city area. But, they still were rather strange with their given abilities. "They must be attracted to strange kids or something.. They are going to love Ari and Damien" He began to chuckle a bit. Sadoko shrugged as she tied the ribbon in a nice bow in Toshiro's pale hair. "I don't know how they don't know, but Kristal would know better than anyone else. And she assures us that they are normal and don't have any clue about their abilities."
Giving Toshiro a pat on the shoulder, she let him know the status of his hair: "There you go! All done!" With on more pat, she realized something she needed to take care of.
"Oh, thank you for reminding me. I should go get the twins dressed up now. Last thing I need is for Mr. and Mrs. Harmon to ask me about their nails..." She then glanced back to her toothbrush. Her priorities were the typical ones, and her teeth weren't going to clean themselves. With a mild cough, she subtly requested some alone time in the bathroom. The boy assumed the cough was to get him going on getting the twins ready. They probably weren't going to enjoy being woken up. Heaving a soft sigh he exited the bathroom and returned to the twins room. "Alright now babies time to get up.." Toshiro turned to the clothing they had for the twins and began to pick out some outfits. After getting some clothing he went over to Ari's crib and attempted to try and dress him. This would be his first time doing such and he really wasn't the best at it. Oh no, Ari smash, Ari SMASH!!! Oh wait, that was what was going on in his dreams. In Ari's simple dreams, there were colorful blocks that he was able to play with and knock over as he wished.
Yet now he was feeling like something was wrong. Blinking a red eye open, his sight gradually focused in. Why was this person waking him up and returning him to the dreary place he lived? Not wanting to wake up, he whined and tried to go back to sleep. These attempts would be quite fruitless, so instead he did the next best thing:
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
That always got him what he wanted."oh... I'm sorry... but you've got to get up and get dressed.." He bit his lip and attempted to still get the boy dressed. He got the pants on... now the shirt... "ugh" Damien began to wiggle in his crib. Brother was noisy... no like noisy.. "buu" His own color swirled dream began to return back to gray... how icky. To make things worse there was the sound of his brother crying. "whaaaa!" Being the light sleeper he was, it wasn't long before someone else was also rather annoyed by the crying of an infant. Peeking an eye open and grumbling a bit, Daikenkai soon enough had an eyeful of two feet. Not wanting to sit up or really do anything, he did just that and listened in as best as his tired mind could.
Remaining rather fussy after such a rude awakening, Ari wriggled and almost seemed to refuse to let the shirt onto him. His cries were just as noisy as before, and his face was turning an unruly shade of red."Oh come now.. I didn't want to get dressed either but... we gotta..." Once he got the little shirt on his work was done... at least with this one. He'd let Ari lay back down for now as he went to get started with Damien. "Ok your turn now" Such not nice noise going on. What was this now? His little bum was being raised up and the cloud head man began to pull something onto him. "auwaaa?" Why was he doing that? Just like his brother he was quite fussy and growing red in the face from crying. In the middle of Toshiro's struggles with Damien, Sadoko came into the room and looked at both children.
In a very plain tone, she began to point out what had originally been her plans: "Toshiro, I was going to put them in footy-jammies that covered their hands and feet. That way their nails won't be a question." She would have sighed aloud, but she knew Toshiro was just trying to help. Instead, she gave him a pat on the back and a simple "Thanks" for the gesture. It would seem the babies would have to suffer through getting their clothing taken off and a new outfit to be put on again.~ With a carrier in each hand the baby bearer began to look around. New places were always interesting. "So this is it?" (house or apartment?) As he stood there he waited for Sadoko to pay the cab driver and then take the lead again. He felt it would be rude if he walked up to the house first not really knowing the family. "Is everyone else here? Are we doing... like a lunch or do we have to stay ftill dark or something?" Thanking the cab driver and giving him the right change, she then turned to the ideal house. White picket fence, beautiful lawn and garden, a nice and new looking coat of paint on the house. It was all too perfect, but it wasn't where Sadoko would be happy. Going up to the short gate, the girl would reply to all the questions:
"I believe everyone else will be here. I do not plan on lingering around if I can help it, but it highly depends on why they invited us here to begin with." She walked up the pathway to the door, glancing back and making certain Toshiro was behind her. Once they were all at the doorstep, she rang the doorbell.
"...be prepared for hugs and kisses..." she mentioned under her breath as she inhaled deeply."I don't mind hugs and kisses" His foot tapped as he waited for the door to be answered. He began to ponder why they had come. The boy thought it was to let the people see the babies but it seemed Sadoko believed there was another reason... she just didn't know what. Now such was tingling his curiosity. The door swung open, and a lady with short, curly hair of a mildly grayed blond was there to greet them. She wore a decent amount of make-up, and seemed to be a bit over-weight, but not ridiculously so. She wore small frames over her nose, and she stood to approximately a bit below Toshiro's shoulders, which was approximately Sadoko's height as well. The lady opened her ruby-lips, and out came her nasal and somewhat high pitched voice:
"Oh Sadie, it is sooooo good that you could make it! Come here, you!" She immediately seemed to latch onto the girl with a hug and gave her a big kiss on the cheek, which left a decent red mark on the offended cheek. The lady scurried up to Toshiro and seemed to inspect him a bit before saying "So this must be Toshiro, the boy you were talking about?" She paused and smiled a bit, waiting for the boy to confirm her judgment. Her eyes momentarily were distracted by the infants, which almost seemed to make the lady squeal in excitement.Toshiro let out a small chuckle and then just smiled with a nod do the woman. His eyes then noted where hers went. "oh, and this is Damien" His left hand rose bringing Damien's carrier up for a moment. "and this is Ari" Lowering his left hand he rose his right. What a silly lady.... at least shes nice though. Not even asking if it was okay, the woman gave Toshiro a hug and attempted to plant a kiss on the boy's cheek in a similar fashion to how she had with Sadoko. In the meanwhile, Sadoko was wiping off the red from her cheek. Lipstick was such an atrocious thing to have on one's cheek.
"Such a handsome lad, you remind me of my boy, Lyle! My name is Shirley, I've heard an awful lot about your boys from Kaila!" Scurrying back to the doorway, she invited the group in with a "Come in, come in!" Turning into the house, she seemed to bustle on forward and called out "Ron, you better be dressed by now! They're here!"
Not exactly being as eager as Mrs. Harmon, Sadoko slowly stepped into the house, still rubbing her cheek. She looked to her right and saw the display case by the door filled with various small figurines in it. The girl didn't even bother to ask Toshiro if she liked the lady or not. It would have been rude at that time.Toshiro wouldn't fight it, he would let the woman plant a kiss on him. Were all moms like this? Was his like this? He was lost in thought for only a few moments until she mentioned Lyle... ugh. Please don't compare me to him... His lips pressed into a thin line as he followed Sadoko making a small train of people. The figurines caught his eye. He enjoyed pretty little things and so he paused and began to look at them. Continuing onwards, the group would make their way to what seemed to be the living room. There were several more display cases with other small knick-knacks and collectibles. Sitting on a cushy lounge chair was a man who was partially balding and also wore glasses. He was much taller, and much heftier in appearance.
And on the couch were three "children," each dressed up rather nicely. Such was definitely a change for Kristal.
"Oh Ron, you are so hopeless!" Mrs. Harmon scolded before turning to the company: "This is my husband, Ron, he's a bit of a slob. I'm sorry about that!" Not seeming to want to stop, she shuffled towards the kitchen.
"Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that, Shirley."Ah, the gathering place. He would have waved to the twins had his hands not been carrying the children. His attention turned to the man and he let out a small chuckle about how the woman though thim to be a slob. "that's ok. I'm a bit messy myself..." I also prefer to be naked but until being nude becomes proper I'll have to keep wearing clothing. Smirking to himself he looked around for a place to set the twins. "So... who wants to say Hi to Damien and Ari?" He assumed Kaila would chirp up and hed get a better idea where to put the carriers down. Had her mother not already fled to the kitchen to take care of more preparations, Kaila most certainly wouldn't have been the only one to take interest. Yet all alone she sprung up with a delighted squeal and called out "Ooooo, I do!!" Popping up from her spot at the couch, the younger of the curly-haired twins went to where Toshiro was at. Crouching down, she looked into one carrier, which had Damien in it.
"Oh hi! Have you missed me, Damien?" She offered a finger for the infant to play with, smiling happily as she played with the "big" boy.
Sadoko went up to Mr. Harmon and did introductions, since Mrs. Harmon had been too busy to take care of such. She offered a slight bow of the head before starting it off, then in a calm voice, she did her duties: "It is nice to see you again, Mr. Harmon. The young man there is Toshiro Garnet. I am certain he is glad to meet you."
Kristal and Lyle looked about as out of place in this happy scene as any could have imagined. The two seemed to almost keep to themselves for the most part, though if one was paying attention to Lyle, one could notice the occasional glaring of daggers at Toshiro.Toshiro almost chimed in with "I have a Last name?" but he caught himself before making himself look silly. Instead he kept it to himself and turned to Kaila and watched her gush over Damien. Damien seemed to try and talk back to the lady as he babbled out "aggiggiooouu" Oh! a finger! Seeing the new toy he reached out and took a hold of it, on the first time even! His own chubby fingers took a nice grip around the nice slender one. "Ga!" Air began to pout. Why did his brother get a nice toy? oh well... at least there were nice pretty things to look at. "gee...." "Oh my, you are such a strong boy, Damien!" Kaila giggled out before rounding about Toshiro's leg partially and reaching a finger towards Ari as well. "And don't think I forgot about you, Ari!" On the sidelines, Lyle noticeably grimaced upon the mention of the name, which got him a very cold glare from Sadoko.
"They are soooo cute!!!" the curly haired girl continued to gush.
Mr. Harmon hoisted himself up from his seat and leaned forward. He looked towards the carriers. "I suppose I should take a look at the rugrats, eh?" He noticed his own two children who weren't even taking an interest in the infants. Finding that to be quite rude, he let out a loud cough that signaled he thought something needed to be corrected.
Knowing their father's intricacies, Kristal and Lyle immediately turned to him and noted what he seemed to be doing. Oh crap, they had to get up and pay attention to the babies. Both of them seemed to outwardly sigh, though they didn't make a sound. Instead, they made their way to where Kaila was at.
Sadoko, who had been standing up the whole time, finally decided to take a seat in one of the chairs which had been set up for the guests to use. She silently watched and waited, figuring Toshiro wouldn't mind the attention for the most part.Toshiro seemed to somewhat inwardly smirk. He wanted to pick Damien up and push him towards Lyle's face while commenting on how much he looked like himself and Sadoko. However... for now... he would just watch the children's reactions to all the attention. Damien seemed rather pleased. Yay everyone look at me! Make me happy!~~ "GEEE!!!" His little chubby legs kicked this way and that as he wiggled in his carrier. Ari now finding a finger to grab took a hold. He, like his brother, was able to grab it on the first try. He smiled widely showing off his slobbery gums. "ba" Toshiro wouldn't even have to mention the likeness between himself and Damien. A gruff voice chuckled out "Well, I'll be damned! This one almost looks identical to you, Toshiro!" Glancing to the lad, then to the infant again, he also pointed out an observation:
"It seems that more and more children are born with lighter hair. We thought it odd when we adopted Lyle that he had such fair hair. I guess it isn't so uncommon these days, seeing as we have three with such hair all in one room."
Once down by their sibling's side, both Kristal and Lyle looked at the infants. Kristal, who held no real grudge, took a further interest in the infants by asking "Is it okay if I take Ari out of his carrier and hold him for a bit?" Lyle almost seemed a bit flabbergasted by the notion, and looked as if he had been betrayed by his sister. Mentally, Kristal scolded him with a simple Stop being such a sulky baby!, which obviously went unheard.
"I have no problem with that, go ahead Kristal," Sadoko stated, giving her full permission to handle the infant.Toshiro crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back a bit. Ah the oh so proud papa. "Yep. I bet hes going to grow up big and strong too. Hes going to have to eat icky veggies Like I did" The boy chuckled a bit. As if the child understood Damien made a unhappy face for a moment as if he had something yucky in his mouth. It soon faded as Kaila was rather amusing to play with... and her finger. It didn't take long before he had guided it to his mouth for a taste."ommm" Ari seemed less interested in flavor at this moment. He seemed more interested in looking around. This place had better colors than the gray house... it also had more interesting, and pleasant, smells. The choice of words seemed odd to Mr. Harmon, but he made no fuss over it. "Sounds like you are a responsible young man!" In his mind, it seemed like Toshiro was an excellent boy, taking responsibility for the infants, even though he hadn't planned on them, remaining in Sadoko's life even though it seemed it wasn't all about love.
As Kristal undid Ari's restraints that held him in the carrier, her mother came in. She had brought in a dish of appetizers. They weren't the most complicated delicacies, but they were simply delicious. Several of the appetizers included vegetables of different sorts: Celery with peanut butter, cucumber sandwiches, carrot sticks with ranch dipping sauce, and for those who weren't too keen on vegetables, there were some fancy crackers with cheese.
"Eat up!" Mrs. Harmon announced as she set the dish on the nearest table before scurrying back to the kitchen. Sadoko, who was all for being polite and pleasing the hosts, made her way to the table and picked out a couple of the vegetable snacks.
Lyle, who just wanted to get away from the infants, was the next to get up and head to the snacks. Sadoko had foolishly decided to linger at the snack table, and had the unfortunate "pleasure" of facing Lyle.
All Lyle offered was an awkward "...hey..." which didn't even receive a polite "hey" back.Food? Food sounded good. Toshiro got up to see what was available. Aww... no meat. He ignored the others around as he stared at the selection. Well... he hadn't had any vegetables in a while so he took a few carrots and went back to the infants. Munching away he sat between the carriers. "See Damien... Daddy eats veggies..." With a small smile he demonstrated how to eat. Food? Food sounded good. Damien seemed to be on the same wavelength as Toshiro. There was one difference. His food wasn't colored sticks... it was yum juice. Where was yum juice? His eyes began to wander this way and that. "Ba?" Ari began to babble a bit as he was unbuckled. What are you doing lady? Is it food time? I am a bit hungry. Where's mommy? "gabba sheeee?" Kristal finally hoisted little baby Ari up so that he could see over her shoulder. She seemed not as familiar with how to hold an infant as her sister, but she didn't hold the infant in an uncomfortable manner. It was more like she was planning on burping him.
"What'cha looking for, Damien?" Kaila cooed out as his little head began to bob from side to side as his eyes did the same. Continuing with the game, she asked "Are you looking for Mommy? Where's Mommy?" Unlike her elder sister, she didn't feel like she had to ask permission to take Damien out of his carrier. Soon enough he was out of the restraints and up in Kaila's arms.
"Where's Mommy?" she repeated as she walked over to the refreshment table. The moment she was in front of her friend (and the baby was able to see her) she let out an enthusiastic "There's Mommy!!" Sadoko smiled, but Kaila's brother seemed to not be as enthused about the situation and went back to sitting on the couch where he had started off. The last thing he needed was a reminder of how badly he was doing in regards to winning Sadoko's heart. Rather than accept it was because he wasn't mature, he decided to play the mental blame game.
Mr. Harmon stood up once more and began to make his way to the kitchen, mumbling something along the lines of "I should help the ol' bat out and see what she needs..."Since the children were in good hands, at least he felt so, Toshiro turned his attention back to the food. He already had some carrots so next was some celery and maybe some cheese and crackers. "mmm" It wasn't meat but a variety of foods was a nice treat. Damien seemed to rather enjoy the game. Kaila's funny words and how she said them were fun. The child began to giggle whenever she spoke. The finale was when he saw his mother. He seemed to know who she was and what he wanted. "gababaa!" His chubby fingers reached out towards Sadoko. He was hungry! Instead of burping the baby let out a smokey baby powder fart. Ah, how nice his tummy felt without that little gas bubble. "mu" Seeming disinterested in the person he continued looking around at all the pretty trinkets around the room. Glancing towards Toshiro's direction, Kristal couldn't help but ask "Are you hungry?" It was a plain question that didn't even sound remotely enthusiastic in the slightest. Figuring that Ari would enjoy it, she swiveled herself a bit so that the infant could see his "father."
Sadoko remained calm and merely stated "I'll go ahead and take him when I finish my food." She was dainty and nibbled on her vegetables delicately. She seemed more like a mouse than a person at the moment.
Lyle, seeming to feel out of place, heaved himself up again, and went to the kitchen. Perhaps he could get some brownie points by helping out like his dad.Between the crunches of celery the boy spoke a "not really, its just that I haven't had any of these in a while" He may not remember being a vampire but he was definitely appreciating being able to taste different things. Try as he might Damien just couldn't reach his mother. He began to kick his little legs as if he were trying to swim there. Why wouldn't the lady move more? "KU!" He wanted mommy food now. "nnyh!" Magically a person came into view. It was the bright head man. He wasn't all too interesting... He did have some shiny things on him... but, not as much as the other person in the house did. As Ari watched Toshiro eat he began to suck on his fingers. ahh flavor. Not being as hungry as the majority, Kristal just watched the others for a bit before attempting to look at Ari. He looked nothing like the Ari she was acquainted with before. Probably wouldn't act anything near like the other Ari as well. She knew her brother was stubborn, but hell, this was ridiculous and pointless. For a moment, Damien's desires for food managed to strike her own emotions, as would be expected from the psychic. In a flat tone, she acknowledged such with "Sadoko, Damien is hungry..."
Kaila just blinked, and Sadoko still continued to chew on her food calmly. "He'll be fine if he waits a little bit" the mother attempted to comfort casually. After getting his fill of snacks Toshiro made himself comfortable sitting on one of the couches. How much longer would they have to stick around? Though his mother said he would be fine he wasn't taking it so well. He continued to fuss. Pouting his lips he began to grip at Kaila's shirt and hair. "muh!" Eventually he started to tug on them a bit to try and get her to move over to his mother. Now Ari had a face in his own. Well, he might as well look at it. Sucking on his fingers he took in the face and its features. Eventually he took his slobbery hand and reached out to grab at the nub that stuck out of her face. One minute, Kristal was holding onto an infant and informing Sadoko on the status of her child, the next she had something slimy latched onto her nose. Narrowing her eyes and feeling her brows drop in annoyance, she looked at the infant Ari. This was the reason why she didn't like kids. Always getting their messy hands places they weren't supposed to. Mentally, she began to gently pry the fingers off of her face.
Kaila didn't quite notice her sister's dilemma, seeing as she had her own to deal with. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!!!!" she cried out in a shrill, but not overly loud voice. She had to keep holding onto Damien, but she needed to somehow get him to let go of her hair.
Finally finishing her snack, she turned to the twins and couldn't help but smirk.
"Would you happen to have a room where I could nurse in privacy?" she asked politely. She wouldn't go to her child right now. She'd be rewarding him for being a brat.yay yay yay funny sounds! This could preoccupy him for the time being since mommy was being mean in not feeding him. The child began to laugh out and continue to tug on the hair. "hee yaa ha haa ha ha hehe hee!" Ari seemed rather puzzled for a moment then seemed to loose interest. His grip was failing him but it wasn't so bad, the object wasn't pretty colored or shiny. Once his hand slipped off it returned to his mouth. Oh... a slightly new flavor~ Kristal, being the more available of the two sisters, responded to Sadoko. "You can use our old room, I'll go ahead and show you where it is. You'll probably want to take Ari when you are done though." Still holding onto the dark-haired infant, she began to lead the way to the hallway before pausing and waiting for her friend to follow.
Kaila was not enjoying this at all. Still calling out many shrill "ows," she almost seemed to whimper a bit at Sadoko for assistance.
Sadoko, knowing she'd need to bring the infant with her, attempted to get Damien to let go of Kaila by prying at the little chubby fingers. "No, no, Damien, you must not do that. Let go for Mommy."Aww he was having fun now he had to stop? Wait... stop meant what he thought it meant right? His little lips pursed together for a moment and eventually his fingers let go and went into his mouth. Ahh... flavor. As for Ari he didn't mind going for a walk. That just meant he got to see more of the strange things around the house. "dagaba..." It seemed he attempted to start a nice conversation with the lady as he pointed to the pretty things that caught his interest. ~ Toshiro was glad when the time finally came to leave. His stomach started hurt a little bit. He assumed it had to do with the vegetables. It wasn't that they were bad, his stomach just wasn't used to them any more. Bowing her head slightly, Sadoko thanked Mr. and Mrs. Harmon. On the way out, she attempted to make a comment that was cutesy, knowing the couple would appreciate it.
"Say 'bye bye' to your God-mother and God-father now" she offered in a far sweeter voice than she usually used. Anyone who knew her could tell she was forcing herself. Good thing Mr. and Mrs. Harmon were clueless.
Mrs. Harmon pursed her lips and waved enthusiastically at the two baby carriers as they were toted along for the ride. With carriers in hand the boy just gave a bow rather than a wave. "We had a nice time.... thanks for inviting us..." Upon rising he let out a soft burp. "oop, sorry about that" He gave a chuckle and started to head down the walkway. The cab was slowly pulling up. Damien looked up to the people all smiling around him. Boy they sure said strange things. he had heard the words before but what did those mean? "baiiiblllllle" Ari wasn't so interested in the moment. It was sleepy time. Ahh sleepy time... that's when the best colors were out. Once loaded into the cab, Sadoko sighed and almost seemed to flop back into her seat.
"Can't wait to get home..." she groaned as her eyes rolled down to look at the ridiculously cheery outfit she was still wearing. Looking up to Toshiro, she then asked "So, how was it for you?""I just want to get this off..." He started fumbling with the buttons on his shirt already. "I hate dressing up... it makes me think about my Dad" He huffed a bit and turned to look at the children. Ari was sound asleep and it seemed Damien was on his way to joining him. "Looks like the twins are tired from all the kissie coos..." At least Toshiro was able to fix his dilemma with his current outfit. It would be rather indecent of her to take off her shirt and skirt and remain in only a bra and panties in the cab on the way home.
"I'd imagine that they were so wrapped up in paying attention to everything that they forgot to take a nap while they were there." Sadoko looked out of the window to see how close they were to being home. As an afterthought, she added "I don't think anyone likes really 'dressing up'... it is always uncomfortable to say the least. You have a more valid reason than most though, I will give you that much."Just thinking about having to put on a suit to go in and assassinate people made his stomach queasy... Or was it just something he ate earlier? Either way it let out a bit of a gurgle. "I think I want a beer when we get back.. Oh, and that reminds me. We went to that bar you talked about. The bartender was nice and she has a baby of her own. I was figuring maybe Damien and Ari would like to play with him sometime when they get older. Friends are always good" With a warm smile he glanced over to Sadoko. "Don't you think so?" Leaning against her hand a bit, she continued to look out of the window. Yet she was fully listening to Toshiro and his suggestions.
"Yes, Keeta, I already got her information when going through laundry. I met her towards the end of my pregnancy and it seemed like the beginning of hers. She already had her baby though? I wonder if it was premature?" Time really did seem to fly by these days, and she had no control of it. Sighing over such a depressing realization, she then continued on.
"I think that will be fine as long as it doesn't compromise our own sleeping habits. Personally, I did not have very many friends as a child. After my parents died, the first friend I made at the orphanage was Fre." She obviously wasn't going to explain who Fre was, especially with the cab driver still there, nor was she going to explain why she met Fre at the orphanage of all places. The boy began to rub his neck a bit. "Do you think the kids will have friends like yours?" He bit his lip and looked down to the sleeping children. What if bad demons wanted to be their friends... what would he do? He'd have to protect them but how? Oh.... there were those darn worries again. Trying to calm himself he set his mind to wondering on different things. Like... how Daikenkai was doing. He probably must be enjoying getting some good sleep while they were away. Oh yes, Toshiro wasn't fully aware on that subject yet.
"...they already have two of my friends who want to watch over them" she stated plainly, not wanting to make a big fuss over such. After all, Fre was very protective of Sadoko and her precious children, and it seemed as if Kre wanted to keep the young Ari to himself. Speaking of such, Fre was probably anxious and wanted to see the infants upon her own terms now.
They'd be able to see how Daikenkai was doing soon enough, seeing as they were drawing much closer to their usual neighborhood.Toshiro's fingers tapped lightly upon the door. "what do you think about that?" If Sadoko was alright with the two so called friends then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. But... if she did mind... it could mean there were more things for his brain to worry about. Taking a deep breath he attempted to calm himself. There his eyes noted the more familiar areas speeding by. "Almost home..." "I trust them both. I trust one more than the other, but when you trust someone with all your heart, it is kind of hard to have another be as trusted."
When they pulled up to their home, Sadoko paid the cab driver while she let Toshiro take the carriers. As to be expected, the kitsusagi were being the obnoxious creatures they usually were, barking and snapping at the humans outside of the gate.Toshiro groaned and lifted up the carriers out of the kitsus reach. "Down guys... I don't want you to hurt the little fellows..." Carefully he would make his way to the front door and wait for Sadoko to open it. Boy he wanted a beer... once he got inside and set the twins in their cribs he was going straight to the 'fridge. Making her way back to the door, she soon enough opened it and headed in first. Taking a quick look around and noting that nothing seemed out of the ordinary, she quickly dashed up the stairs to take care of the problem that was her current clothing. It would feel so good to get out of those clothes. With a smile Toshiro first headed up to the babies rooms. Despite the barking dogs they seemed to contently still be sleeping. Carefully he took them each out of thier carriers and into their beds but not before softly giving each boy a kiss on the forehead. Ah... such a warm fuzzy feeling was nice... but so was beer. With that task done he skipped downstairs and went to the refrigerator and got himself a whole sixpack of beer. Man-ing it up he took off his shirt and tossed on the back of the couch and lounged back with his beer while watching some television. Sadoko didn't even bother to make it down the stairs. She had to wake up earlier than usual on this day, so she did not even hesitate in going back to bed. How fortunate for Toshiro, seeing as she probably would have chastised him for leaving his shirt the way he had

Data Entry ----
Apparently fate really plans on spoiling these runts with folks to love them. First off, Rock and Wolf have their parents. Sadoko and Toshiro will definitely love these kids. I don't plan on getting attached. I learned what happens when you attach yourself to a child you raise. Next off, Kaila has made it extremely obvious she plans on being an active part of the "family." I can only imagine that Kristal will be dragged into it as well. I would find it ironic if Lyle ever attempted to make such a commitment as well, seeing as those babies represent many of the things he is against. Sadoko being with another man, or rather, two, and the product of homosexual interactions. Even if it is technically a product of bisexual interactions, I am quite certain he'd jump to the previous label. He's always been a d**k like that.
I seriously thought that these would be the only extents of family, seeing as all of the parents are now orphans. Apparently this assumption was proven wrong. Rock and Wolf now have God-parents as well. I take it that Kaila spoke so much about the babies in front of her own adoptive parents, that they decided to be the "good Samaritans" and involve themselves with these children as well. None could ever accuse the Harmons of being heartless. All of their children were adopted, and despite the fact that their children have such outrageous dreams for their futures, they both fully support the fools. Personally, I am glad I didn't go to the actual lunch gathering that decided this. I would have easily argued against it. Doubt any would have listened to me though, since I am "not" the father.
I decided recently that due to grubby little baby hands being a potential danger to my face, that I shall temporarily stop wearing my lip-chain. In fact, all the hoop-styled earrings I had, no matter how small the hoop, have been changed to studs. I figured the last thing I needed was a chunk of my lip being pulled out, or likewise, a chunk of my ear coming out. I wouldn't look as sinfully beautiful anymore with such a blemish upon my face. It is still somewhat difficult to recognize myself in the mirror, since I've been with the same fashion of piercings for the longest time. However, I will adjust eventually. And the faster these kids grow up, the faster I can put my real ornaments back in. I've also been fiddling with the idea of wearing my hair in a way that doesn't let so much loose hair hang out. This particular thought isn't as dire as the piercings, but I figure, it is always difficult to take anything out of a chubby little hand. Less hair hanging in my face means less temptation to grab on.
Fortunately, I believe Rock and Wolf are teething now. There's more drool in their mouths than usual, and Ari has been exceptionally moody lately. I have pulled out a couple of teething rings which Kaila bought a while ago, and they both seem to have taken to them rather well. I'm debating on letting Sadoko know this tid-bit or not. I think it would be more amusing to let her remain in the dark for a while longer.

Strange dreams Recounting a day to Pookah.
Man Pookah... I'm getting kind of worried. Yesterday morning I had a strange dream about getting a note from my father. It said I had work to do and then to eat it. I know my father is supposed to be dead so it had to be a dream. We had a full day yesterday. Visiting Kaila and Krystal's parents...
meroww
...yeah yeah.. Lyle too. Silly kitten. Anyways... they were nice. Much better than my Dad. Hm.. maybe thinking about parents and parenting is what made me have another dream. But... it said I had two days instead of three now... two days then I have to go to work and if I don't... he'll hurt Damien and Ari. Then again.. It is just a dream... I hope.
Oh... do you want to know something neat? I went to check in on them today and Ari had two little teeth peeking out of his bottom jaw. He had a big drooly grin and it was just... well cute. After seeing Ari I checked Damien and he has the same little teeth peeking out. No wonder they have been gumming on things so much lately. They are starting to get teeth. I wonder when they will start talking and even walking around.
*Sigh*
