Look I think Alex was telling the truth, he's not that attracted to Addison. Then it would be a total copy from McDreamy and Meredith but they switch the sexes.

I think he just said that so she wouldn't avoid him anymore and so he could scrub in on her surgeries again and not be stuck with Mark. You can obviously see an attraction between them.
