"Michael, wait!" James rose to her feet and grasped his arm. Michael twirled around and stood facing her. He gazed into her eyes and saw a sorrow that was uncomprehendable. "Let's dance." Michael took her delicate hand and led her to the dance floor. A slow song began. There wasn't anyone else around, but it didn't matter to either of them. James looked up into Michael's eyes and questioned, "Why? How? I...you...dead." Her voice faltered on the word "dead". Michael sighed before replying. "I did die. That's why I'm not the same. I'm a guardian now. My only purpose anymore is to protect you. Like I said, you're my calling. But please, think no more of it. Let's just dance and enjoy this time we have."

Kathlyn walked over to where people were dancing. She smiled and listened to the music and began to dance. It was a beautiful night; and the wind moved so nicely through her hair. It was really lovely. Although her dress left her cold; seeing as it was sleeveless, had a slit up the sides, and was made of thin fabric. Reguardless; Kathlyn was her own heat sourse and just started to dance the night away. The music has a good beat; and it was easy to move to; so she just kept time and moved her hips and body with the beat. So totally lost in the music around her, that she stopped noticing anything at all.
Reitan watched her from above and smiled. He couldn't help it. There was something about the total bliss he could just see comming from her skin, something about how she moved that was entrancing. So remaining in his tree perch, he watched her dance away with a smile. That is until the branch he was resting on broke under him, sending him falling towards the ground. Luckily for him his reflexs were good enough to land on his feet; but the tree branch made a loud and clumbsy enterance. Reitan happily noticed Kathlyn totally unaware of what had just passed and stood looking at the branch wondering what to do about it.

Michael and James both heard the sound of the fallen branch and looked back to where it came from to see Reitan. 'That's that guy from earlier. He must really like her.' James smiled to herself. She knew there was no better feeling than the subtle attraction between two people that seems two universes apart, but end up colliding with one another. Michael noticed James' smile and asked, "What has you smiling so sweetly?" "Nothing really. Just the obvious." She lay her heard into his shoulder and they continued to dance.

Reitan was nervous; he didn't really know what to do. Generally speaking he would just leave it for someone else to deal with, but for once he couldn't do that. He was at a dance; clearly that was hazardous. He wondered to himself why he even cared. Other people had never been a concern of his in the past. Reguardless he finally lifted the branch and leaned it against the tree it had fallen from and once again found himself watching Kathlyn dance.
Kathlyn was still totally oblivious to the world, which was just how she liked it. She let everything go and totally forgot all her anger, frustration, all the stress just floating out of her.
Reitan then noticed how James smiled at seeing him watch Kathlyn, and although he didn't know why he found his face flushing. He was embarassed at being seen watching her and he didn't know why. Perhaps it was because she was a commoner and he shouldn't be bothered to even look her way. He really wasn't sure. So confused and embarassed he turned away and walked to the fountain to sit down, making sure to face away from Kathlyn so he couldn't be caught staring again.

As the song ended, Michael and James stopped dancing and he led her off to a bit more of a secluded area. James looked up at the stars as she had so often been accustomed to doing, but this time, instead of seeing sorrow and longing for her the best friend she had lost, James saw the true beauty of the stars and their galaxies. "Best friends..." "Always and forever Kaji," Michael finished. They laughed at the thought of old times. "Alright, let's get this party started!!!" James screamed out loud. She led Michael back to where the crowd was and started shakin it out on the dance floor. She was hoping others would join in on the fun. It was a good fast song, her favorite kind. James went over to a nearby table quickly and grabbed a glowstick, complements of the dance committee. Michael looked at her somewhat puzzled and then caught on as James moved to the music, raving.

" Ho'snap, I think its time. They just kicked up the dance music." Ginseku immediately grabbed the ends of the strings hanging from his neck, And pulled them loose. The glowsticks at the end of them fell limply to the ground. He snapped his hands up into the air, the strings and glowsticks following suit. He snapped them back down, and the glowsticks snapped on. One glowed blue and orange, the other red and green. He smirked, moving to the middle of the dancefloor where there was most space. Ginseku began to pop, moving in fast yet robotic motions thast seemed to flow into one another in time with the beat, his hands swinging about loosely despite the stiffness he was trying to generate. All while he was moving, the glowisticks were swinging about him in strange, yet beautiful patterns. He then stopped popping, and moved his hands behind his back and continued to spin while they were there, performing a 3-beat behind-the-back weave. (for those of you who doubt that glowstringing is a type of dance, i found somethings for you to read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glowsticking )

Kathlyn watched as more people started to dance, then heard the announcement. She wasn't in the dance contest, she got far to nervous for those kinds of things. Besides she was starting to sweat lightly already from the dancing so she wandered over to the fountain to sit down. She hummed along with the muisc in a happy way and sat by the fountain brushing her hand over the water. She felt the familiar light burn of cold water on her flesh; but couldn't pull back from it's beauty.
Reitan had seen Kathlyn change direction; although attempting to not watch her. He seemed to somehow always end up watching her, he couldn't help it. No matter where it was he looked; he'd see her out of the corner of his eyes, or hear her voice from somewhere out of sight. Reitan sat perfectly still before glancing back at Kathlyn who still didn't notice him, and saw her hand brushing the water. He could hear the poping noise the water made from touching her flesh; like acid deperately trying to eat away and burn her.

James heard the announcement and quickly moved toward the middle of the floor, hoping not to move into anyone. Continuing her techno-raving hand motions, she moved her feet to the beat and did a couple of full body rolls, glowsticks still going.
Meanwhile, Michael had of course also heard the announcement. He laughed as he watched James rave her heart out. He thought to himself for a moment and then moved a little bit away from other people. All of a sudden, Michael started break dancing, of all things.

Ginseku stopped, tying the ends of the strings to his wrists. He then started popping again, like a robot, until he started moving down to the ground. he laid down slightly, one hand going to the concrete. He began to breakdance, performing a windmill, then a yo-yo. His muscles bulged slightly through his coat. Again, the glowsticks followed his arms' movement, creating random flash patterns.

James stopped dancing to watch Ginseku break a serious move. "Go Ginseku, go, go Ginseku!" She started chanting over and over again hoping others would catch on.
Michael joined her at soon the DJ was going with it.

He continued the yo-yo for a moment, then spun out of it and landed in a handstand. He quickly lowered his head, then began to spin on it, his arms reaching out straight. The glowsticks spun around in a perfect circle, creating a ring of light around him. after about 9 spins, Ginseku scrunched up his body and tilted sideways, spinning and popping off the ground by using his body like a spring. He stopped spinning, pulling his arm back out and then spreading his legs wide open. He placed his other arm near the first one, Then began to spin around. doing the Boomerang.

Kasai ran over to the edge of the dance floor and watched all the people dance. She was in awe of all the different styles she had never seen before. Back home, she was only taught classical ballet and ballroom dancing. She clapped her hands to the beat of the music and began to chant Ginseku's name along with every one else.
"Go Ginseku, go!"
After hearing the announcement, Glissa made her way up to the platform where the dj was and leaned against one of the booming speakers. There were many good dancers and her red eyes darted back and forth from person to person.

Ginseku heard her cheering, then immediately spun around onto his chest, doing the worm to rise into a standing position. He began to downrock, his feet moving about randomly while using his hands for support and balance(a video similar to what ginseku is doing! : http://www.b-boys.com/movies_bak/crazylegs.mov )

((the link doesn't work))
Kasai whoooed and cheered him on as he danced away. Even the other dancers had stopped momentarily to watch him too. She was so happy to be there. Her whole body was rocking back and forth and bobbing to the beat of the music. It was NOTHING like ballet, and she didn't even think she was dancing yet.
