A silent red alarm went off inside the ship as Captain Elaine made her way to the helm. As she walked into the bridge, she slapped a button on her pin directly linked to the Hangar setting off a signal for all avaliable pilots. " Attention Enemy Mobile Suit. This shuttle is a Preventor Cruiser which has already sent for reenforcements which shall arrive within the hour. I suggest that you remove yourself from the area before you are obliterated." She wavered in her statement as she hoped for the best.

Seig looked up at the mix of Red and Blue lights. " Epyon." He leaned back in the cockpit and closed the hatch. As he switched on the monitors, he noticed the manned mechs preparing for takeoff. He narrowed his eyes and moved towards the opposite side of the hanger as the small group of mechs launched out of the hangar doors to attack the enemy mech. " This time, I'll have my way. "

Sieg smirked a bit as he overheard the communication from the bridge due to the pin on the Captain's cufflink. He shook his head and patted the console of his mech in thanks for the EMP and Magnetics feild blocking technology. " Thankfuly this thing was top of the line in it's day. " He noticed that all of the mechs that had exited the ship had lost communication and thrust power and nodded slowly. " So, EMP pulses. Considering on how everything is electronic now, I have to be thankful this thing is powered with by a fusion reactor.

He moved slowly through the hangar and made his way towards a wall as he pulled down a small lens. He adjusted it so as to detect any electronic sources and reaction from their variable points, thus pinpointing the origin of the emittance. After a moment, he smiled widely and moved the lens away. " There you are! "

The side of the ship errupted as the Shinmatsunaka burst out through the side, the beam, rifle in one hand, the newly modified beam saber in the other. He slammed his mech into the visualy illuded Epyon with such force that his harness gave way and his head slammed against the console before him. He brought his head back up quickly as blood trickled down over his eye, a smile wide across his face. " I'll show you what a real fight is this time! " He moved the suit back as he readied the beam rifle, his saber drawn close to the barrel as he took cautious aim on the Epyon. " Let's have some fun this time, shall we?! "

Seig winced as he felt the vibrant hit from the Epyon's saber followed by it's vulcans, his suit being slammed back against the ship. He quickly reacted by bringning his beam rifle to bear, the barrell only feet from the head of the Epyon as he pulled the trigger. The blast from the beam rifle enveloped the head of the Epyon, tearing away the outer layer of surface coating and eyes. As the energy cloud disspersed, he growled as the Epyon's head remained in place, although severly damaged. " DAMNIT! This old rifle isn't strong enough! " He tossed the rifle and slammed the Shin's left leg into the Epyon to gain a bit of distance as he began to reach for the 1 remaining enhanced Beam Saber over his shoulder. He quickly boosted off, implying the full force of the suit's newly adjusted thrusters. " Come and get me damnit! "

Seig narrowed his eyes as his Sensors rang out through the Cockpit. " More upgrades, perhaps, but I'm sure I can do fine with what I have. " He Clentched the controls tightly as the pin he was wearing went off. " Seig. Dissengage, you bought us enough time. " Seig smirked and allowed his ebam saber to power down. " But perhaps you're right. I'm, not a match for that suit yet. "

=== On The Ship ===

Captain Elaine shook her head at the tangle of wires before her. She watched at the image of the earth Preventors' Commander flickered and faded out. " Damnit. There's nothing we can do right now. " She turned and looked towards her crew, her face cold and dark. " Crew, prepare to be boarded.

=== Meanwhile ===

Seig dissengaged the Mech and placed his helmet on the suit which he had quickly applied to his body. He opened the hatch slowly as the air rushed from the cockpit and out into the open space. " Well Epyon, looks like you win. " He tossed his hands up sarcasticly with a smile on his face. "

Seig watched as the suits approached before the quickly retreated. He shook his head towards the Pilot of the enemy mech with a weight on his heart, pushing back into the cockpit of the Shin. He secured the hatch and removed his helmet once the oxygen level had been returned to the cockpit. " That pilot sure is odd. Why would he do this twice? "

His front visual screen opened as the communications expert aboard the ship came into view. "Seig! Return immediatly! " Seig smirked as he saw Captain Elaine in the background barking orders, her face full of fury. " Alright. " He looked towards the ship and shok his head. " That thing is battered. Looks like we're simply going to drift for a while. " He noted that he had already positioned it for an obrital pathway, thus saving them for a bit more time before falling into earth's atmosphere. He quickly powered up the Shin and made his way towards the ship, retieving the severed right arm on his way.

There was little which could be done aboard the ship. Captain Elaine sighed heavily as a voice broke over the com link of the bridge. " Captain Elain? This is Captain Welwight of the Preventor Orbital Defense. Do you read me? " She quickly returned her response, giving full detail of the most recent events.

" I see. So your ship is disabled? We can haul you towards the Orbital base, but I don't think you'll be able to pull something off like landing on earth in the condition that heap is in. " She growled softly. " This HEAP is my ship Welwight. If you were involved in a battle, your tin can wouldn't be in such a great condition itself! "

Seig had made it into the hangar and placed his mobile suit along the far right wall. He leapt out and strapped it down so as it wouldn't drift due to the lack of air and gravity in the area. Slowly, he floated towards the air chamber which linked to the rest of the ship. He closed both of the airlock doors and removed his suit before he proceeded into the main section of the ship.

Seig yawned loudly as he walked into the bridge. Captain Elaine motioned for him to come closer and he did such without heitation. " Seig.. how long have you been working? " She questioned him curiously with a slightly concerned voice. " Eh, ever since the last attack. "

She laughed and gently poked his nose. " If you weren't my brother, I'd work you to death, you know that right? " She smiled widely, her eyes lighting up happily towards Seig. " Yeah, I know. " He was happy that Elaine could smile, even in this situation. They both had a hard life, growing up seperated from the ages of 17 and 14. Seig was the eldest of the two, yet his sister had entered the preventors long before him and moved through the ranks quickly. She was the one who opted for him to join the preventors and he did so without question.

The two had been seperated after the death of their mother, their father having died in a rebelion conflict on their home colony. Elaine was too young to live on her own, but Seig had managed to make it on his own somehow, joining a select group of Pilots on his ome colony which tested pototype mobile suits. His mind raced back to the incident and he cringed a bit in his head. The Shadowen, the most advanced mobile suit that had been produced to date had been in his hands at one point.

The suit was powered by a compact nuclear reacter, and a suitable AI was implimented into the cockpit system. The suit had a mind of it's own, able to make chioces and perform actions without a pilot if it meant protecting itself or people. The Shadowen was known for it's speed and dark colorations and had at one time been placed as an option to be sent onto the battle field, thus why Seig was chosen to run test piloting simulations in it. The suit linked directly with the pilot, small cables puncturing the arms of the pilot for more than just reaction time purposes. The cables injected small amounts of nano-machines into the pilot's blood for the purposes of helping the pilot's mental reaction time and other physical enhancments such as enhanced healing, brain stimulants, and muscle enhancers.

The Shadowen was fast enough that the burst of the initial thruster impulse could cause the pilot to fall unconsious and their body be crushed by the sheer force. The nano machines helped to heal any broken or cracked bones during takeoff, enhance the strength of muscles for better body control of the pilot, and mind stimulants to help the pilot maintain consiousness and make more efficiant choices. The pilot was basicly a synthetic Super Human.

Seig had been piloting the mech whent he nano-machines had an adverse effect, causing him to lose control of the mech due to a complete mental shutdown. The mech fell into a residental area, killing dozens of homes and even more people. The Shadowen project and Seig were thrown out of the colony and forgotten about after being labled as unreliable and uneffeciant.
