Kaosu gripped his sword in both hands, and rushed at the motionless tree. His sword sunk deep, back into the wound, severing more moist tendrils of the tree's trunk. Kaosu spun the sword out of the tree in a failed attempt to spin into a crouch. He picked himself up and readied for the next attack...

Immediately following his spin-crouch, Kaosu launched himself from the crouch at the trunk, creating a deep cross-chop into the side of the tree. Kaosu managed to pull the sword out of the tree before landing on the other side.

Now, officially, Kaosu was out of ideas. Now, he was just determined to chop the tree down. Kaosu reared back, both hands stiffly on the hilt and legs tense. He shot the sword forward and 'thwack'-ed into the trunk. Kaosu shifted the sword out and cleaned it, preparing for another strike.

Kaosu went for another strike, but he noticed his error half-swing, and it was too late to stop it. His sword buried itself into the tree's trunk, the zanpaku-to's blade facing out. He was so glad he was alone, for he was sure he would have given up and gone away had someone seen his blunder. Thankfully, no one was around so he continued his hacking.

Kaosu made special attention to his blade position as he made his next swing. The deep sound of his blade was accompanied by the crack of wood. Kaosu smiled. "Almost there." He said, and he wasn't even done with the day.

This time, the sword got stuck in the rut before hitting the tree trunk, however, another deep, rattling crack split through the woods was heard. Kaosu, after a small struggle, ripped the sword free of the wood. Kaosu would finally have to take a strike at the other side.

Flipping his sword around once again, Kaosu readied himself for another hack. He pulled back again, and simply swung his sword into the naked bark of the tree. It left a large crack in the wood, and another loud crack. He had to admit, it was really loud. He was surprised someone hadn't come to the wall to yell at him already. Well, if they haven't yet, then he would just keep on going.

Another strike for the poor, battered tree. This time, accompanying the crack, the tree leaned to the right. "Yes!" Kaosu exclaimed. "Almost there." He cleaned the sword off and prepared for, hopefully, one of his last strikes on the tree. He was becoming bored again.

Kaosu stared at the few tendrils still holding up the dense tree, and planned an accurate attack. He put his left foot on the top trunk of the tree, and hacked downward, almost diagonally, at the tree. However hard his attack, however, it didn't sever the tree from it's base. Kaosu would have to add another heavy attack to free the stupid, old tree.

Kaosu took his foot off the tree, and backed up. 'If it wasn't coming down now, I'm giving up." He rushed at the tree, a little faster than human speed, and cleaved the tree cleanly in half. He heard the tree fall, and rejoiced. His fist raised into the air with victory. He sat on the tree, and said to it, "You were trouble. Now, how to get you into my dorm without anyone noticing..."
