Rummaging through the shelves of large, thick, dusty volumes, he was frantic, a cool sweat beading onto his skin as he through every failed, keyless book onto the ground. They hit the stone floors with an echoing ‘thud’, covers falling open to reveal yellowing pages as more dust clouded around them from the floor. The vampire’s eyes clouded again, the taste of blood lingering in his mouth as he grunted, thoroughly annoyed with his predicament.
Wet locks of brown and gray soaked the back of his shirt, and he’d lift a hand from searching to throw back the hair from his eyes. Her screeching entered his ears violently, his senses now much more alert and focused, and he shuddered, throwing a wayward glance back at the hallway. He hastened his hunt, blood rushing to his head and thrumming in his ears as that bestial snarl echoed through the underground.
Where is it? Where is it, damnit? In a rage of panic and fury, he swept all the books on the far middle shelf to the ground, some lighter novels flying all the way to the other side of the room and crashing against the wall, loose pages fluttering lost into the open. Mercy… mercy! His mind cried out in a terrible pain, though he kept looking, throwing more books into the pile and onto the far table as he fancied he heard her stalking closer.
His wit had gone, deserted him, his purest emotions bared, the fight-or-flight response most definitely working in the latter. Brainless vampire! Make a demon angry, would you? You’ll not live to tell about it! He shook visibly, drops of water sprayed all over the floors as he moved quickly back and forth, trying to think up a plan. None would come, however, and as Giada dragged her claws against the wall, he cringed, knowing his time was almost up.
Lars threw himself violently against the shelves as the demon slunk into the room, almost toying with her prey as she watched him, purring, as it were. He succeeded in nothing but knocking the rest of the books down in the short time it took her to come nearer, and now, with nothing else to think of, he turned his back to the empty bookshelf, loosing a snarl that could match hers, though it was almost humorous. The sound faded into a whimper as he went to snarl again, and soon his warning calls were nothing more than cries for mercy, brows drawn together in anguish as he sunk to the ground, the shirt falling from his shoulders and pooling in his lap.
“May your feast be well on the bones of a scavenger…” he whispered, his eyes boring pathetically into hers.

Listening to the thumps, rustles and crashes coming from within the room, she almost believed him to be tearing the place apart, and why not? After she had had her fun and he was gone, there wouldn't be another soul that would step foot in this wretched excuse for a home, this dilapidated, filthy burrow. Nothing more than a stinking hole, it disgusted her - a home not even fit for a disease ridden rat.
She touched the tip of her tongue against her upper teeth as he slammed against the bookshelf, the scene rather comical to her as she knew nothing of the room beyond. Driven mad with fear, perhaps? In the beginning he hadn't seem like the sort to stumble into insanity, but then again, the thought of impending demise was quite an incentive for one to lose control of the conscious mind's functions.
A throaty chuckle rumbled in Giada's chest as he finally spun to face her and loosed a snarl, as if he could somehow frighten her off. She reached down and trailed a claw along the ground, purposefully swerving her approach first left, then right, absolutely loving the pitiful sounds that came from the creature before her, the finality that glowed within his eyes, the fear. Already, it was delicious, and she hadn't even begun yet.
"Are you so quick to fall apart in the face of death, my dear?" She purred softly, eyes leisurely roaming his body as he sat huddled upon the floor, back to the now empty shelves, chest thrumming with the sounds of a frightened animal with nowhere left to run. She slowly got down on all fours, lithe body unafraid of any damage he might inflict as she crept closer; a hand reaching out to trail one claw down his exposed chest, leaving a small, crimson trail in its wake.
She withdrew her hand, flicking her tongue across the tip of her talon and cleaning away the small spot of blood, examining the long cut she had just graced his pale, lean body with. Raising her eyes to once more look into his face, she gave him a sympathetic grin, head cocking to one side as she circled her hands around his wrists and leaned forward, her mouth close to his ear, "And here I had thought you deserved something for getting away from me the other night. Before you die, that is."

He almost broke into sobs as she spoke, so near to him, and he, a defenseless creature of the night, had little left in him to retort. “If I lived a life less than mine, I would’ve killed myself already.” He spoke plainly, reminding himself of the stakes and serums he kept locked away behind the bookshelves. He could’ve died many times, if not for his vampiric qualities, and with knowledge and access to weapons that would surely render him no more than a fable, it was a wonder that he hadn’t tried to kill himself. In all his murderous escapades, death was all around him at all times, and as a vampire he stood just between life and death. Did it scare him?
There was no chance for escape now. He had no strength to teleport, and no will to even lash out at her in a final attempt to prolong the inevitable. He lost the key to his only safe haven, and the best of all predators was crouched just feet from him, and closing in. He was lost, as lost as he had ever been, the feeling almost surpassing that of his first days as a vampire, his first feeding, and his first bloodlust. What was there left to do but lay down and take his punishment?
As her fingers enveloped his wrists, he cringed, head lolling, hair swaying and falling onto his chest. He waited for her to strike, to finish indulging in him and have her way, but all that came was a sharp pain exploded in his chest. He thought at first that she had sliced his skin and touched his heart, and the pain was near that of having it pulled out. Though as he recovered he found that his desperate mind had lied. Cloudy denim eyes watched the small trail of blood twist its way down his skin, and almost immediately his mouth began to water. The vampire’s eyes drew to a close as she spoke, her words enchanting, inviting, yet terribly dangerous. A reward? For pissing her off?
He had a strong urge to obey her every word just then, to agree with any terms she may have offered for just one more living moment, though he stayed his tongue for a time, reviewing his situation. He didn’t find much solace in anything, not even in dying amongst his possessions or by such an intriguing and exquisite woman. He whimpered quietly in her ear, her neck so close he could almost drag his tongue across it.
“It was a difficult feat, you’ve no idea… but most definitely worth it.”

His words made her pause for the slightest moment, animalistic instincts being smothered by humanlike curiosity. Perhaps he wasn't afraid of death, perhaps he was simply afraid of her, of what she might do to him. Not that it really mattered to her one way or another, but maybe he wasn't afraid to die, but rather was afraid of how he was going to die.
And he should be.
Another husky chuckle rumbled in the back of her throat and she tilted her head, bringing her face closer to his neck, letting the wet locks of his hair tease her face. Her tongue, lengthened and more pointed due to her taking on more of a draconic nature, slid out from between her pointed teeth - gliding across the cool, slick skin of his neck before finding its way up to his ear. She grinned as her teeth marks in his ear from the night before caught her eye, and she gently scratched her talons down the insides of his wrists.
She let out a soft, lustful sigh in his ear as he whimpered; the sound sending a shiver of excitement up her spine and into her wings. The appendages flapped once, sending a few loose papers flying, and then arched out behind her as she swung her lower body forward, settling down onto the vampire's lap and placing one leg on either side of him. She had to shift position a little for her legs to move freely, allowing her tight mini skirt to slide up obscenely far, but that just made the game more fun. Even now, she couldn't seem to get around toying with him - he was simply too irresistible, perhaps in more ways than one.
"Worth it, you say?" She murmured into his ear, tail curling forward to touch the underside of his chin. It slithered around the front of his neck, gently wrapping all the way around, before viciously snapping his head back against the wooden shelving with a hollow thunk. She tilted her head and smiled, razor sharp teeth flashing in the gloom, and brought her face close to his, warm lips gently brushing against cold ones as she spoke, "Tell me, would the reward for your escape be worth your life?"

Leaning against the shelves with her body hovering over him, he shuddered as her tongue rubbed his skin, following it to his jaw, which was tightly clenched, up to his ears. He loosed a shaky sigh, the spot she touched quite sensitive. Shivers ran through his arms and legs, and all throughout the rest of his body as the demoness touched him, her sigh causing him to grind his teeth in a strangled whimper.
The force from her wings made him jump slightly, his senses reaching out to everything. His cool fingers twitched and once denim blue eyes took on their reddish hue again as he opened them wider to take his killer in. His muscles tightened, gaze swimming along her body – and what a perfect one it was – as she straddled him, causing him to let out a weak, but definitely amused chuckle. The vampire saw things he probably shouldn’t have, and silently wished he could see them… up close.
He was almost numbed to pain now as he grew strangely calm, the blow from the shelves her tail had allowed but a small pin p***k to his abating fear and desperation. He tried to catch her lips with his tongue as it left his mouth, a small needy sort of sound following his action. If he had to die, what better way than to die like this?
“I’d give a thousand lives to have a goddess in my lap.”

A goddess indeed.
She couldn't keep the grin from spreading across her face, but it wasn't the same as before; twisted and a bit wry, she silently berated herself for taking such an agonizingly sweet while to kill him. Her hunger for his death, for her talons to sink into his flesh and rend him lifeless, for his blood to rain upon her in a cold shower of crimson, was waning as another hunger, another need, filled its place.
Arching her back slightly, she pressed herself closer to him as a soft noise passed through his lips, her own tongue stretching out to flick the tip of his just before she drew back. The coldness of his lean body was shocking, almost painful, her heated flesh both protesting the contact and pleading for more all at once, and she willingly heeded the latter cry.
"Lucky for you all I want is one." She whispered hoarsely, finally releasing his wrists to raise her hands to his chest, allowing her talons to first rake up the sleeves of his shirt. She kept her tail coiled around his neck, giving him only the freedom of moving his arms, and she finally placed her lips upon his - giving him no warning as she slipped her tongue into his mouth. She issued a soft, licentious moan against his lips as she tasted the faint, metallic trace of her own blood, any primal thoughts of tearing him limb from limb fleeing her mind.

He allowed himself a small glimmer of a smile to grace his lips as she leaned into his body. A hiss snaked through his teeth, the sound becoming almost a purr as his tongue was greeted with the soft and wanting lick. The blood in his system caused his pale face to flush, the smell of it pulsing beneath his skin, and her own delicious smell wafting up into his face, toying with him.
He didn't care whether he lived or died.
The heat the slowly spread through the contact of their bodies was delightful, and he welcomed it as he pressed himself against her, heedless of his position and restraint. He grinned widely at her words, eyes lowered to watch her speak, watching her lips as they moved. He could hardly contain himself, and if it weren't for her tail holding him in place, he would've thrown himself upon her the moment she kissed him, the moment he brushed his tongue against hers and answered her with his own deep, lusty growl.
"Then take it." He uttered against the demoness's lips, hands now firmly holding her waist against his.

.:Morning After:. Giada cracked her bright eyes open and for a moment, she had trouble figuring out where she was. Her soft 'mmm' broke through the darkness, chasing away the silence as she sat up and blinked away the remnants of sleep. The first conscious thought to spring to her mind was the fact that she had been sleeping, quite deeply by the feel of it, and for a few hours.
That and she ached all over.
She turned her eyes down to the bed she was sitting in, golden sheets half wrapped around her right leg and half crumpled on the floor, and she was suddenly wide awake as everything slowly came back to her. The hunt, the confrontation bathroom, the resulting scene afterwards...
"s**t," She muttered to herself, for a dozen reasons at once. She became aware of the presence in the bed next to her and didn't need to turn and get a visual, but she did so nonetheless. The vampire lay beside her in a state of 'slumber', and by that fact alone, she was able to guess it was some hour of the day outside. Being underground, there were no windows, which made it hard to guess the exact time. His hair was splayed out around his head and across his pale chest, which was bare to just below his navel where a thick, red blanket cut the rest from view.
Which was quite for the best, the demoness silently mused, as she knew what lie beneath and may be tempted for the umpteenth time. She was almost tempted with what she saw now, but was unsure whether or not she’d be able to wake him. His chest was littered with long scratches and a few nicely sized cuts, no doubt his back as well, and his shoulders were darkened with the first forming of bruises. The curve where his left shoulder met his neck was marred with a large bite mark, dozens of small puncture wounds crusted over with dried blood. Unconsciously, she reached up and placed her fingertips to the same place on her own body, finding four large puncture wounds just a bit higher up on her neck. She lowered her hand and gently touched one of her hips, wincing as she found the area a bit tender under her probing fingers. Apparently she hadn't been the only one caught up in the heat of the moment.
Or moments, as the case were.
She suddenly turned away from him, realizing she had been staring at him, and issued a low hiss as she slid - nude - from the bed and stood. Glancing around, she found only one article of her clothing crumpled on the floor; her thong. As lazily satisfied as she felt, she felt equally uneasy, thus she wanted to get the hell out of this hole as soon as possible. Stooping to pick up her undergarment, she threw a quick glance back at the vampire.
Kill him. A voice seemed to whisper in her pointed ear, but another voice contested this idea. She stood for a moment and listened to them argue, crisp eyes gazing blankly at the prone creature's slack face. A shudder passed through her wings and she inhaled sharply, shaking her head and turning her eyes away from him - more angry at herself now than she was at him. Perhaps she was getting too sympathetic, or perhaps their escapades had been more enjoyable than she had anticipated. This was true, of course, he had been above her expectations... had been far more... vital.
She came to the realization that she probably wouldn't be able to bring herself to kill him. A part of her wanted to, oh yes, tear his skin from his bones in ribbons and hang it out to dry in the wind, use his fangs as can openers, his eyes as marbles. But there was another part of her that held her back, a small part, the part that was making her uneasy, the part that seemed to know something about him that the rest of her didn't. Had she not had a strong will, surely it would drive her mad.
Loosing a quick snarl, she turned from the bed and the vampire, making her way back to the room they had started in to collect her skirt and top - if they were still intact. Once she got away from here, she would regain all her bearings and be able to hunt him down and kill him the next time. And there would be a next time, all of her was certain of this.

.:Name Pending [Part I]:. He would die for this.
He would ******** die. He had gotten away from her twice before, once by his own doing, because she had been careless, and the second time because she had allowed him to live, because she was coming down from the high the sex had given her, because she had been sympathetic to him, because she had thought that maybe he deserved to live for pleasing her so.
This time he would not survive.
Clad in a pair of black jeans and a slightly baggy t-shirt of the same color, more clothing than she had ever worn in her life, she nearly stomped along the path, boots thudding loudly, as dusk settled in the woods around her. It had been awhile and she had walked this path only once before, but she knew where she was going, she would never forget now, any of it. It was like a stain on her mind, no matter how many times she scrubbed at it, it just wouldn't go away.
She had chosen this specific time on purpose, just after the sun had set and the sky was still aglow with its warm rays, this would be the time he was just awakening from his slumber, the time he would be lethargic, perhaps even hungry, a time when he wouldn't sense her approach. And at any rate, why would he fear her now? It had been literally weeks since that fateful night, why should he suspect her of showing up after so long? He probably figured she had gotten what she wanted out of him and had moved on, and oh, she had gotten something alright!
Stifling the snarl that rose in her throat, she clenched her jaw muscles tightly, shoulders and wings tensed with stress and anger, and she stopped just before the concealed doors within the mound of dirt, leaves, and other debris. She was visibly shaking with anger, and she raised a booted foot and brought it down upon one of the doors; splintering the aged wood as if it were paper. She wasted no time in dropping down and tearing at the shards with her hands, creating an opening big enough for her to fit through and no longer caring if he knew she was coming.
He would die!

Shifting in the warm sheets, crisp and crackling under his weight as he moved, he opened one eye slowly, revealing a cat-like slit, glazed and dark against an almost gray iris. An achy hand rose from beneath the blankets to rub his face, though he let it quickly fall against the soft, inviting pillows as he pondered dozing a bit longer.
Deciding against it, he sighed and pushed himself up on the bed, rumpled hair cast all over the place and smeared across his face. He thrust a hand into it and pulled it back, blinking drowsily as he moved to the edge of the bed and placed his feet on the cold, stony floor. Curling his toes and blinking a few times as he stretched and yawned loudly, he stood up, leaning against a dresser for support as his muscles tensed and he found the strength to walk.
He reached up to idly scratch at a bruised spot near his bare shoulders, wincing a little as he remembered how he had gotten them, and upon reaching the doorway to the hall, his hand had passed the length of his torso, feeling the raised scabs and new scars. As he continued on, he grew more comfortable, long tresses falling forward to frame his face as he shook his head, silky boxers sliding gently against the skin of his legs. He had quite enjoyed that night, and having lived past it put him in better spirits than he had been in weeks.
He was about to mentally question her departure as the hidden doors were kicked in, and he moved into a half crouch at the sound, the sleep gone from his eyes in an instant. It's her... his mind echoed, eyes straining forward through the gloom as they caught her coming movement. ...And she's not alone.
Were they following her? Were they above ground, waiting to capture him if he somehow managed to escape the demoness? Did they come in before her? Damn him for sleeping! He hadn't much time to hide or get away, so he kept his slow and silent advance through the dark hallway, hoping he wouldn't be detected.

The b*****d, the miserable, miserable b*****d. He would suffer, oh how he would suffer! He would suffer and then rot in death for all eternity for what he had done. It didn't register that she was probably just as much at fault as he was, she simply cast all blame on him and fed her rage with it as she tore blindly at the doors until nothing was left but a broken shard attached to the hinges.
She entered without so much as slowing, a snarl echoing through the murky hall she now occupied as a shadow crossed her eyesight further within the structure. She knew it to be him, though she couldn't make out any details until her eyes adjusted, she saw him - half naked - crouch down and hurry on whatever path he had been taking until he disappeared into the darkness.
No matter; she could feel his presence, and he could teleport as many times as he liked, she wasn't going to let him get away again. She would hunt him down, to the ends of the universe and back again if she had to. She would walk through the very fires of hell to get to him, nothing would stop her from reaching him.
Nothing except what happened next.
Her stalking movements down the hall suddenly halted, the twinge she felt in her abdomen freezing her to the spot. Her eyes widened and her lips parted, a hand moving to brush against the thin fabric of her untucked shirt as she stood for a brief moment, silent. The uncomfortable sensation quickly faded, however, and she cast all caution once more to the wind as she started moving again, knowing the momentary pause she took put more distance between her and the vampire. It wouldn't take long, if she had to, she would kill him right away and forego the pleasure of his suffering.
For their well being, she would make it swift and less strenuous on herself.

He honestly thought about teleporting the hell out of there as soon as he felt the stinging lashing of her rage. What is it this time? Not satisfied? He mused, smiling inwardly as he continued creeping along the wall. He heard her movements close by, and stifled his breathing, being careful to firmly plant his feet on the ground and hiking his boxers up so they wouldn't make that swishing noise.
As stealthy as he could be on such short notice and without wanting to expend any energy lest he need it later, he threw a glance over his shoulder, wondering if she had seen him yet. There were three alright... but he could only see her. He stopped suddenly, wondering which doorway to scuttle into, before he looked at her again, wondering why she had ever left in the first place.
And why was she back?
She wants to kill me, a mental kick in the head. Or... atleast he thought it was only mental. He rubbed the back of his head very carefully, wondering what in hell's name had touched him. Searching, scanning the hole, he found no one but the three presences, and instantly wondered if it was one of the unseen visitors.
Whatever the feeling was, it was gone, and he had trouble finding where it had come from as he crawled further away from the demon, and into a dark room - the study.

It was actually a bit annoying, tiresome even, that she should have to hunt him down in his own home a second time. It made her even angrier that he should tuck his tail between his legs and run away instead of facing her, even if she were the stronger of the two. And who was to say she was? There were certainly vampires roaming around with unbelievable powers, just because on the majority demons were stronger than vampires didn't mean she was stronger than him. And especially now, in this... state... surely she was more vulnerable now than she ever had been; her mind wasn't working as it normally did, she was thinking about not herself, but of someone else.
Who was to say he wouldn't win?
She stalked down the hall, anger flaring again as she silently berated herself about pondering such inane things at a time like this. She was being as quiet as she could be, but not mindful of the rustle her clothes made as the vampire ahead of her was, feeling it insignificant if she completely muffled her approach; he knew she was here.
She checked any rooms she might have passed, making sure he was still ahead of her and she hadn't lost him. It occurred to her then that he must have the strength to teleport, and yet he hadn't done so; strange. If he really was intent on getting away from her, he’d use every trick he had, wouldn't he?
"Vampire," She called softly, slowing her movements a little and straightening up from the half-crouch she had unconsciously fallen into. Her silky voice traveled the length of the hall, yet fell flat before it was able to rebound back to her. "Come out and face me instead of trying to hide in your own home!"

He kept going, willed by her flaring aura, her constant pressing presence, and her outbursts, palms sweating as he crawled fully into the room. Upon realizing which room he was in, he bit his lip harshly, his mind crying out at the pain. He had trapped himself. If he had only turned the other way, he would've had the largest rooms in the house to hide in, and many an entrance to escape through. Clenching his fists tightly, he pulled himself up in the corner, the side of his face pressed up against the wall.
He could feel his veins pulsing, throbbing, the blood new and fresh in his body, feeding him all the power he could have, though he didn't even think of using it. If he did now, he'd be wasting a chance to flee later, and he didn't want to be caught defenseless by this demon ever again.
But did he really want to get away?
Her emotions were on high, and he breifly wondered if this was the same demon. Would she think like this? He wondered, catching bits of changing emotions and thought as he listened to her inner turmoil. It was too late now, and it was only a matter of time before she found him, so he stood silently in a corner of the study, breath shaky with anticipation.

She stopped just outside the study's door for a moment, eyes downcast and breath held. The whole scene was antagonizing in its familiarity, she couldn't be sure, but she had a feeling that this was the very room she had cornered him in the first time - though she was more in control of herself now than she had been then. At least, it felt this way to her, perhaps she was just as she had been then and didn't realize it because of...
No, damnit! She had to stop thinking of it like a... a disease. It wasn't really, even if she never wanted it in the first place, but if she treated it like such, surely it would become one in the end and she would be screwed. She was the same person, it hadn't affected her like that, she had to stop letting her mind wander, otherwise she would be driven mad. Or killed.
Focusing on the presence in the room before her, she let her anger flare again and her lips twisted in a silent sneer. He had done this to her, she mustn't lose sight of that. Whatever she was going to do after didn't matter now, he had done this and he was going to pay dearly for it.
Turning, she stepped into the room and let her gaze sweep once before locking onto the vampire, pressed against the wall in a corner. Her eyes, alight in the gloom, narrowed slightly, upper lip hitching a little in a brief moment of disgust at his apparent cowardice. Even backed up into a corner again, with all his power, he wouldn't come out fighting. Pathetic.
"So nice to see you again, love." She purred softly, velvet voice dripping with vehemence, "I've brought a nice little surprise for you."
