The little female mrowed loudly at her brother's distress and tried to stop the awful sound coming from him.
Noisy little git he was.
She took another long swig of milk from this green object and tried to cuddle or atleast bat at her brother.
Shut up you silly thing!

Mtima looked off in the direction the lioness indicated, perhaps there was hope in finding Kianga- but would she return? Surely there was a reason behind what she did. She was thinking quietly when Siti asked for her name, and she turned her head back to the stranger.

"My name is Mtima'safi," she replied, "I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself, my mind is elsewhere." The disguised goddess offered an apologetic smile, but the gesture was interuptted by the displeased mewling of the cubs. It wasn't too difficult to guess that he was unhappy, and perhaps overwhelmed. At least the girl seemed to be handling it all better.

"I don't know what we do, but we should figure it out quickly," she looked around at all the others.

Siti looks at the lioness, "Its nice to meet you." Siti smiles back at the lioness, but the turns to look at the cub whom was mewing. " Siti was entriged and couldnt help but wander why he was so aggitated. She watches as his sister try to comfort him somewhat. "Well whats to be done about those two, from the look on that lioness' face I dont think she is coming back. She looked regretful and half terrified. Oh and I almost forgot, she was carrying something, but I dont think it was alive, whatever it was.

"Is it possible one of her siblings, or perhaps a lioness unrelated to Kianga came here seeking shelter? The Pridelands are known very far and wide for being a peaceful place to raise children... A rogue mother, maybe..." After all, it wasn't uncommon for rogues to wander in and out of Pride-Rock's borders. Tai herself had been traveling alone when she did, when she met Mufasa. The only thing that left that questionable was Kianga's scent that they claimed to recognize. Her eyes fell on the soon to be mother as she finished her sentence, hoping to reassure. She was sure to have her paws full soon with her own children, but how many she'd have was anyone's guess in Tai's eyes.

Since Tai longed for little ones of her own, however, she saw no reason not to put her suggestion out there.

She took in the names of the new arrivals, including Siti, though the male had been silent till now, perhaps just not finding a good place to jump in. Tai, for the moment, had to agree that a choice needed to be made soon. She looked to the others then, each in turn.

"I could take them in, even if just until their mother returns. My brother's litter was just recently weened, and I'm sure that his mate, Ausi'juu, would be willing to feed them until they could be fed meat. They wouldn't be anymore of a burden to me than the cubs that I'm already caring for as nanny."

As the other spoke, Na'ilah was silent, letting them discuss the matter. She didn't really have much input other than something needed to be done with the cubs or else they wouldn't survive for very long. As one of the cubs mewed, she lowered her head to gently lick his back. Hoping, in some way, to reassure him. Her tail flicked before she raised her head back towards the others.

Tai's suggestion about what should be done seemed reasonable. "It would be nice for someone to care for the little cubs. I would offer myself for the job, though I would want it as a last resort. I am, as you all can see, carrying cubs myself and I don't know how many I'll have, but I want to do what's best for the cubs. I can't be selfish now, and take them under my wing when I do have my own cubs to think about. If there is a family just as able as me to provide for them, we should see that these cubs have all the care they can get." She gave a small smile as she tried not to worry about her daughter. Shimah would be fine, she just had to be.

Siti perked up at the statement of rearing the cubs. Maybe I could do it. Siti looked around at the other, and wonder how many of them had cubs before. She really want cubs, but the business of finding a mate was a slow one. The thought hit her though that she could not nurse them, she'd never had cubs before and didnt know if she be able to care for them if because of that little detail. Also she didnt belong to a pride, she probably shouldnt even be here, but still she spouted out. "I would love to care for them, I love cubs and would love to have the chance to raise them." Siti tone of voice became a little sad, "but could i do it even though I've never had cubs before.

No amount of batting and comforting mews from his sister would shut him up, but the gentle lick from the green blob did the trick - if only because it startled him into a placid silence.

Finding he had no say in the matter of his life at this point, he had no choice but to sit back and wait. The green blob's milk was different, but at least it was milk. He suckled a short while longer, placated for the time being, rolling against his sister in brief contentment.

"Perhaps," Mtima replied to Tai's suggestion that it might not be Kianga, but the scent was recognizable, and after thinking of Kianga she was quite sure of it. Of course, it's always possible to remember incorrectly.

"Are you certain that Ausi'juu would agree?" she looked at Tai with a slight tilt of her head. She did not doubt the white lioness' statement, but sometimes one was not always right in offering the services of another. When Siti offered, however, Mtima started and turned to the lioness. It needn't have been stated to know she'd never borne cubs.

"Siti, I'm afraid you aren't equipped for this," she frowned slightly, "They'll need milk, even if you could handle them otherwise.." So much was going on, she turned back to Na'ilah and tried to hide a smile at the comment on how many cubs she was about to have. The goddess could see a specific number of distinct souls within her, but one needn't see that to know there were many.

"You're right, Na'ilah," Mtima nodded brightly, "You'll have your paws full with your own little ones, and Tai is right in that someone with a recently weened litter is a valid cantidate. I myself fall under that category." Reminded of her own cubs, the goddess recalled why she'd originally made her way here, she quickly shook a frown from her face and glanced at Tai, who'd offered herself up already.

(( xD; I'm sorry if Mtima is all, in charge seeming. It's hard to respond to everything without doing so, and she arrived first and is a goddess (and naturally a bit arrogant)... ;^; I'm sorry. ))

Tai nodded quietly to Na'liah, thinking that perhaps if she had a small litter the cubs could go to her after all, since they obviously were already taking to the milk she offered.

The pale female continued to remain silent afterwards as well before nodding finally in response to Mtima. "Yes, I'm quite sure. She has a very large heart."

((LSX, Amy, let me know if it's okay with you two. If it's not I can find a way around it. whee ))

((EDIT: No worries Ecavi! It makes more sense to me too, I play a goddess or two as well XD they're both the same way. *pets reassuringly*))

Siti nods her head, it would be fun but it was going to be possible, but maybe should could be a friend in the future. After all she is at the scene of their abandonment. Siti looked at Na'liah and smiles she was going to have cubs and by the look of tummy it would be a few, maybe the extra two would be to much for her. She then looks to Tai. She thinks that it could possibly work but to offer up someone else without them knowing was not always a good idea. Her gaze shifted to Mtima, she seemed like the perfect canidate, but a the same time she seemed anxious and worried. Siti wondered who the cubs would go to, but then their was always the thought that others would stop by. Still Siti seemed compled to voice her opinion. "I really think Mtima seems very suited, but are you willing, you seem a bit worried about something."

Mtima smiled at Tai's assurance that her brother's mate would surely agree to help, but the ever-observant Siti seemed to catch her moment of anxiety and she was startled from her smile first by the compliment and then the comment on her worry.

"My daughter has run off," she looked over to Siti, "I was coming this way to see if she'd come by, or if she'd been seen." The goddess knew this didn't exactly make her look like a good parent, but one does not have complete control over their children and she was certain if one of her two ran off, the most likely to manage on their own was her daughter.

"It seems there are many concerns involving cubs lately," Mtima commented, referring to the two abandoned here, the question of Na'ilah's travelling daughter and then her own. She turned back to Tai, "But we should find a resolution for this one. I'll help you get these two to your friend. We should go now, the sooner they get somewhere safe and sheltered, the better."

(( ook <33 I was worried ;;' ))

((It's no problem, I didn't have a problem with it. ^^ Na'ilah would keep them as I'm sure all the other lioness would as well.))

Listening to the other quietly, Na'ilah glanced down at the two cubs and smiled. Hopefully things were going to turn out for the best for them, they deserved it, that's for sure. Lime green eyes gazed back up as she nodded, "Cubs are always out and about, they're a handful." She couldn't help but give a lopsided smile to Mtima before she agreed. "I agree...the sooner, the better." She waited for the others, hoping to see the cubs off before she headed back to her own den for some well-deserved rest.

Many concerns indeed. Tai fully sympathized with the two mothers, unable to imagine how worried she'd be if one of her own nieces or nephews went missing, let alone a child of her own. Would fate be kind, then, or cruel, to this girl and this boy that had already been left on their own? Would their mother return for them, or would they have to come to know Tai as their parent instead?

She was shaken gently from her thoughts as Mtima turned to her, read to transport the cubs t her sister-in law's den. Tai nodded, looking to the little ones again and stepping a bit out of Mtima's way to let her take one of the cubs first, and she would wait till then to lead the way to Ausi'Juu and Daimyn's den.

"Ausi'juu's first son did the same thing, but he ended up here in the Pridelands. I'm sure that wherever the children are, they know to be safe, I'm sure that you'll see them again." She smiled a bit sadly, again hoping to encourage.

"I think my daughter has probably left the Pridelands now that she's had a chance, she doesn't like it here that much," she answered, and felt reassured by the words of the others. Mtima saw the hesitation in Tai, and took it as an indication of time to go.

"We'll go now, then," she nodded to Tai, looking at all the lions around them and trying to find the right thing to say to them, "Thank you for your concern, and thank you for your help, Na'ilah." The goddess beamed at the pregnant lioness. Then she leaned down and gently picked up the nearest cub, the female.

((Sorry for lateness gonk

All of this is wonderful XD I don't mind one bit them being with Ausi' =3 ))

The female felt her younger brother finally settle down and mewled softly, a contented purr escaping her as she nuzzled against the little red form of her sibling.
However the contentment wouldn't last very long.

Suddenly she was picked up!

A curious meow escaped her as she flailed a little, however, she soon stopped.
Maybe they where taking her to mommy?
Had they found her?

Right now, everything was a blurr, but if this ended up with them finding mommy, she would allow it.
