Neji gave a small sigh of relief. "Thank you." He whispered into the night sky, his heart beat feeling a little...happier? "We need to go to the village...Unless, you want to hide for a while before going back?" His pale eyes scanned the landscape again, before closing his eyes, absorbing the warmth of the Uchiha and of the sky.

Sasuke closed his eyes and drew in breath, with it some courage,"I want to get this over with as fast as possible." he said, sure and strong as he usually sounded. That was better. Confidence, even if he thought it may be false, was a good thing. Just stay strong, Sasuke. he thought.

"Right." Neji nodded his head in agreement, helping Sasuke off of his lap. "So...What was it like at Orochimaru's?" He scratched the back of his head for a moment before looking at Sasuke's shorter figure. He couldn't help his curiousity with this, mainly because of other rumors he had heard. Not that Neji was one to gosspi.

Sasuke looked at Neji when he asked his question. He looked to the trees as he contemplated how he would answer that question. Many different answers flooded his mind. Once he picked the one that he thought would be best suitable for Neji's ears, he looked back at him,"It was strange at best. The people I stayed with were far more...human, if you could say, then I imagined. I thought they would be more like blood-thirsty killers, but, they weren't."

Neji nodded his head in understanding. "So...They were good to you?" He wanted to double check, especially since he felt a little closer to Sasuke than he had ever before. Resting his hands by his side a half smile spread across his face, for no apparent reason.

"Yes. Yes they were. They argued quite a lot, but, they were good to me." Sasuke noticed the smile. He blinked a couple of times and looked to the lights coming from the village behind Neji,"We should hurry. I want to at least get inside before the streets begin to fill."

"Alright. I'm sure you'd rather not have everyone at your throat the minute you walk through the gate." He muttered, looking at gates of Konoha that were in a distance, yet visible.
