Landing behind the boy, I spun round widely with a horizontal slash to his back. My accuracy was pretty poor but my opponent was also pretty fast. So attacking was like hitting fresh air. 1d20+2

Tsai landed on his opponent's bokken. This was the opening, but would it be enough. His opponent was indeed faster and stronger than he was. It was a gamble but a worthwhile one. Tsai spun his bokken making it blade face downwards and slashed horizontally at Kenosha.

Ugu smiled as he watched Tsai rush up against Kenosha. The violent frontal maneuver would always push an unsuspecting opponent back. Usually, atleast, Ugu corrected himself. And right now, as he watched the spar unfold, his lime green eyes sparkled with a small bit of inner joy. For Souls Society to have such wonderful shinigamis.. It simply must mean that there'd be a fairly strong future for the realm.
A smiled continued to hold onto his scarred face as he watched his students go against each other.
Whle his students fought Ugu placed his hands around the handles of both his weapons. Both the wooden, and the real, blade were held by their corresponding hands. The shirtless teacher then continued to smile as his two students continued.

"Clever," I said. Now how was I going to get out of this one. I decided the best way was forward. (My other half would go backwards in order to prevent damage, this half tends to react a little differently).
Noticing the sweep coming from my left, I altered my grip slightly and pulled myself along my bokken and to the otherside of the boy and while moving to Tsai's right I pulled my bokken out in order to dislodge the boy.

"Hmph," I said as I spun my bokken free and switched my stance so I was once again facing his back. I was standing with my bokken partly behind me now, the perfect stance to go straight into an Iaijutsu attack. I thrust forward attacking although without grace, but with form.

Tsai is surprised and jumps back but then he notices Kenosha moving quickly at him. He charged forward and locked bokken's with Kenosha, Tsai then attempted to rotate around Kenosha to dodge his attack. It would was clever but was tricky and highly unlikely to succeed, but he had no choice and no time.

"Yes!" he smiled as he rotated behind Kenosha without a reaction, now that he was behind his opponent, he had two options: to attack and risk be counter attacked or to retreat and regroup his thoughts and plan an attack. He decided to take the safer route to this spar.
Tsai backed up from Kenosha with his bokken infront of his. He held it with a tight grip. "I can't hit him and I don't think I can keep dodging for long," he thought.
Tsai decided to try another risky move. He started with a single hop then a second, then he began a charge at Kenosha's rear, before he was in close proximity, Tsai jumped into the air and spun and landed to the side of Kenosha, this would confuse him a bit and maybe increase his chance of success.
Tsai now at a crouching position, flipped his bokken upside down and sent the handle of his bokken at Kenosha's abdomen. "Please work," he thought as he was about to come in contact with Kenosha.

I saw the attack coming from below and jumped up into the air, in a somesault fashion to avoid the sweep. Landing with my feet on the roof which was quite a distance up, before I fell I pushed myself off holding my Bokken in my right hand.
I slashed out from left to right at him as I tried to make contact with his body. This guy was much faster than I had originally thought, I would have to revise my stratergy.

Ugu's lime eyes continued to stare at the two students. Their tactics, for the most part, were sound. They had tested each other's abilities. Then, after testing each other, they'll both seek to win either the game of endurance or the game of hitting each other hardest. Either which, the sensei summerized in his mind, as he watched the unfolding battle.
A smile continued to stay on his lips.

Tsai ducked the slash. The pace of this spar was getting faster with every stroke. He needed to slow it down, but if he did he would allow an opening, he would have to push this spar's pace faster.

Tsai with his bokken still upside down slashed at Kenosha vertically from his position with quickened pace. He knew his opponent was a graduate and would read his thoughts but he was struggling to keep up.
