It was almost impossibly easy to sit still and pay attention. The fascination in the British boy's eyes were real and his face was focused. After living with the father he'd been living with most of his life, it wasn't easy to act impolite. It would've been easier to split an atom then to change his face and composure. The entire island was a place of serenity and yet the car that damaged this serenity was of no disturbance to the emerald eyed lad. The aura that surrounded him was that of a highly evolved sort and he was proud to be a part of such things.
To top it all off, Marie was kind and straightforward with a hint of playfulness. Or so Nathaniel presumed. He found himself more curious to look around and explore for himself then he was to ask her questions. And so with a bright smile he shook his head, forgetting if she could see it or not and thus adding a negatory statement to complete the action.

"No questions?" Marie asked again, looking at the two boys with playful curiousity. She then gave a broad grin and nodded to herself. "But that is to be expected. Wait till you guys actually start to live here...then you'll have plenty of them. I know students who come here with the assumption that they know everything, but they end up lost around the school regardless...haha, not that you guys will really do that, but just so you know, there are people, my people actually, all around the place in case you need any help, so don't be afraid to ask them for directions or other stuff. "
Hands on her waist, Marie looked at the two boys again. She could tell from their eyes that they were looking around the landscape in sheer wonder, and she felt quite proud of it. This was one moment where she felt she was superior than even the administrators of the school. After all, they don't get to see what the boys look like when they first recorded the image of the vast buildings in their eyes. Their looks reminded her that they were still children. It didn't matter how mature they act or how much knowledge they had already in their heads...
Grinning to herself, Marie climbed back onto the vehicle and winked back at the boys.
"No time to waste, then, let's get you to where you should be by now."
And with that she started the engine again, and the car zoomed off on the silvery roadway that glimmered under the sun.

Tycho was... flabbergasted. The car, the view, the tour. It was all so much more than what he'd expected. After watching Nathaniel climb into the car, he'd followed suit, and was surprised at how cushy the seats were. They'd almost seemed a bit too cushy, until the car had started, and Ty's eyeballs attempted to look out through the back of his head. That he hadn't really liked, but the vista that soon unfolded around him had scattered all thoughts of protest, and he's simply sat dumb.
Then, the school had come into sight.
Tycho honestly had only half heard what Marie had screamed back to them. He'd spent most of his time twisting his head this way and that, drinking in the sight of the school like a man lost in the desert drinks from an oasis. It was a balm on his soul, and Tycho was unaware of the broad grin stretched across his face. He echoed Nathaniel's head-shake, looking up at Marie with eyes wide with excitement. It was true. Tycho, survivor though he was, was still a kid.
((I'm so sorry about how long this took! Midterms are over now, and I'll definitely rp more often!))
