" One more Pint of Ale for the Road..."
The day was dreadfully the type of day that Vivian could not stand. The clouds were just not the right shade of gray and the sun was either too bright or not bright enough (She couldn't decide). This was the end of the adventure for her. Here she was at her destination: De'Seas.
" One more Pint of Ale for I Go..."
Even if she was 30 years late. In court politics it was fashionable to be tardy.
She walked past a young woman who was feeling the grooves of the Gate's door. Vivian's eyebrow quirked slightly and she continued on her merry way.
" To The Caverns Below..."

Lord_Charon The sensations were the first thing that he took notice of. The chill of the night air washing over his body. The sensations were cold, and made his body tremble a little. His body reacted as he tasted his first breath of the night air. The scent of burning torches, and human stenches of blood, and sweat. His mind did not reel from it, but absorbed more of it. He looked about, and his surroundings were unknown to him, but was that really surprising? Most of his time had been in a boat, as it moved about a great river. Yet, he quickly dismissed those memories as he took in the different shapes and textures of Castle. Deeper he looked, and there he found many different magical auras. His body reacted as he began to hear the different sounds. Heart beats, breathing, conversations, foot falls, and the list went on. One sense though remained untested, and that would he was sure would have to wait. Though of what sensations he did have he acted as though intoxicated as his body twisted around to experience as much as he could. "You are foolish," said a disembodied voice. "Am I death?" said Charon "Yes, for what possible purpose could there be to be left... Mortal?" Asked Death. "For milleniums I have dutifully fullfilled all obligations as you wished. I would experience what mortals do every day. I have curiosties and questions that need answers. To fully understand.... Being immortal would only detract what I seek." "You are still a fool, what can possibly a mortal teach one such as us? We are beyond them, and they are beneath us. It will be your undoing, child, and when you have embarrassed yourself, I will destroy you," said Death. "Ah, you threaten me with oblivion? How far am I away from it as it is. Days go by and those days are filled with minotiny, tedium, and... boredome. Destroy if you wish, but I will know that which knowledge cannot tell me... I will experience it." "Your choice, but heed my warning, for I will be watching," said Death. "As you wish, Master." Charon continued down the hall. His mortal frame more than others, even if he was foolish in his masters eyes, he was still not be caught unprepared as far as mortals went. His mind refocused on the moment, and his explorations of this castle would be his beginning. (OOC: Now what do I do?) The castle steward was making her rounds, checking to make sure that the preparations were complete for all the new arrivals when she heard a voice speaking. Hearing no reply, she moved in the direction the voice originated. She quickly found one of the more unique characters to enter the castle wandering alone. She smiled, wondering if magic and insanity walked hand in hand. “Lord Charon. Are you lost or in need of assistance?” She asked walking up, the light jangle of keys accompanying her strides.

I stop and look at the comly woman approaching. She was attractive, and he could feel the new sensations washing over him. Feelings spurred to activity in his mind. Lust, curiosity, attraction, desire, and a gambit of others. It would be an interesting situation to persue some of them with the mortal. "Your assistance. It would be appreciated."

She nodded at his comment, looking distracted. She looked up and down the halls, in a half-hearted attempt to spy the servant she was looking for. She would make sure to give them an earful when she was saw them. She looked back at the mage and smiled. "In what way can I assist you? Are you lost?"

She was cold and a bit stoic he noted. In such a way, he doubted he could learn the level of things he wished to with his mortal body. Though at the same time, he did not necessarily mean that her mannerisms were an issue. No he actually relished the divergent mixture that represented her. He looked at her, and thought. Her name came to mind, and at that point he knew when they would meet again for the very last time.
It was not something he wished to think about though. Old habits once again dieing hard. He was supposed to be on a leave of absence or vacation of sorts. His mind had drifted, was it one of his issues as being a mortal or was it a carry over from what he was before. Death had chided him on many things over this as he put it 'Mortal Fixation.' Still it was his choice, and his fallacy to live.
"Oh, I am never lost, Steward. Though, I can be misplaced. My presence here is to support the King, and as such, if you could direct me to where everyone is meeting, that would be acceptable."

"Misplaced is it? Well, I think I can help you out." With a light smile, she motioned him to follow. She sauntered through the hallways, leading Lord Charon in the direction of the Throne Room.
"As I understand it, he has not yet arrived, but wishes for everyone to be present when he does." She chuckled. "He seems to enjoy being fashionably late." She said looking at the guest in an attempt to gage his mood.

A young man with a sack over his back and clad in armor came walking down the road. He looked up at the castle as he got closer and closer to it with each clanging step. "So...this is that castle that I've been hearin' about. I wonder if they'll let me in?" he said to himself as a light breeze blew through his semi-long white hair.
Despite the nap sack and the armor, he didn't seem to be carrying any weapons on him. He stopped before the gate and looked up at it. "Hey! Anybody here? Might I enter this castle?" he called out, his free left hand cupped around his mouth.

When He spoke, his voice was something from the depths of a well. His movements were somewhat stifflike, but his eyes were unreal. For a moment he stood then, then he began to speak. "I am Sir Steel, welcome to Castle De'Seas. If you will follow me, I will show you to the King."

His Armor had alerted him to the arrival of another person. As such, he quickly moved down the stairs and out the doors. Tussaud noted others arriving, but noted a stragler that had just arrived. He heard his shouts, but did not quiet make out what he said. It was not important as to what was said, but in the inflections it was clear he seeked entry. As such, Tussaud arrived and opened the gate. His weapon was in his hand as he stared at the man. "I am Sir Ulric Tussaud, Sargeant at Arms, and member of the Crimson Brigade. State your intent."

The man approached a bit more, looking over the knight before him. "Haseo. I came here hearing that this was a place to meet challenges and get stronger. If I'm wrong, then I'll just leave. I have other things to do," he stated firmly as he set down his bag. Haseo's armor was relatively light. There was nothing extremely heavy on him. What threat he posed would be questionable.

Such an interesting peice of... well, she couldn't quite identify exsactly what he was, but defently not Human, that was for sure. She always liked things it took her awhile to figure out. " That would be good," she replied, " he should be exspecting me."

Marcus DeSavage, after several thousand miles on his horse, arrived at the gates of the Castle. He had kept his head under the hood of his grey cloak. His hands were covered with black-lacquered gauntlets.
He had crossed and stood before the mighty gates. He looked up at the portculis window and opened his mouth, speaking the language of the humans. "I am Marcus DeSavage! The Lord is expecting my arrival."

Within she saw other people there. All appearing to be competent, well equipped, and confident. "If the Lady is alright, I must depart as there are other arrivals. The King will arrive momentarily." With that Sir Steel left.

"The King is recruiting people for an upcomming war. If you think you are worthy to fight at his side, then follow me. Otherwise, the road does continue on." Sir Tussaud paused as he awaited the young mans response.
