Sharr admired the other gryphon. He was the second largest she had ever seen, and had very impressive markings and colorings, "That's a beautiful creature you have there." She commented, "Is he just a pet or do you do anything with him?" she inquired lightly.

Nickel fidgetted a little big. She wanted to go play with the new gryphons, and especially Tynan, but the big flame tailed gryphon seemed to not want her around. Her ears pressed back and she squeaked a little, seeming just a bit tormented.

Sharr nodded thoughtfully, "He could do well, but it would take years of training. Does her have the temperament to be able to go all out and hold back as well? Since killing is not allowed, they're both very important." She paused, realizing she was lecturing, "I'm sorry, I'm a strong follower of tournaments. I was going to do it will little Nickel here, but she's much too small and very friendly." She watched Nanaki nervously, instinctively stroking the hilt of her dagger in case he were to do anything to her baby.

Nickel's ears pressed back nervously, switching between flicking forward, then falling back as she was eager to make friends, but intimidated by this much larger creature, even if he was of her own kind. She fidgeted again, holding out a claw playfully and squawking.

"No offense but I can't help but worry. Despite the trust you have for him, he's still a large mostly untrained Gryph. I can't put my faith lightly into anything where mine young one is involved." She offered a grim smile then watched the two interact.

The glistening silver youngling tentatively pawed at the tail, waiting for a positive reaction before she got too rough. He seemed big and smelled of a sad history that she wasn't sure she trusted. Sniffing at him she chirped questioningly.

Sharr saw the adult playing with the Nickel, then went to go sit next to Starry. She watched the spotted young one, "There's a handsome little fellow. You've had this one from hatching I presume?"

Nickel, taking heart from the obvious playfulness of the much larger gryph. Squawking cheerfully she pounced toward the tail, pawing at it.

"I've only got Nickel, she's still young so she's quite a handful. I can't imagine having another one at this point. Besides, she is my first, so if she turns out well, I hope she'll be able to breed." Sharr smiled at her baby.

Nickel cawed in disappointment, continuing to pounce after the withdrawn tail, her good mood increasing.

Sharr smiled, "Yes, babies would be good." She watched Nickel rolling around getting her sparkling silver and white coat dirty as she went after the tail, "She's in training to be a show Gryph, she's already gotten third in one, but it was because she accidentally knocked a judged over while spreading her wings a bit too eagerly." Sharr laughed, "She's too young to breed, but definitely in the future."

Sharr chuckled as Nickel straightened up and shook out her coat, puffing with dust everywhere, then sneezing as a result, "Not looking like that she won't! I've got to brush her down and oil her feathers all over again!" She laughed, "As for Zef, some Gryphons are just fine as pets, or even better off wild." She smiled, "You can't force them to be anything they're not, that's the lesson I learned with Nickel. I suppose I was fortunate though."

Nickel sneezed a few more times then spotted Zef herself. Chirping politely she sat down, but couldn't hide the playful swishing of her tail as she waited patiently for him to approach her. Sharr smiled at the obedient little girl, "Go on, you can play." Nickel trotted forward and snuffled at the spotted baby on Starry's lap.
