Elfen Lied is the type of anime that makes me think who ever hates anime saying its for kids or something sould die...

Elfen lied its brilliant, it did made me cry in a very sad way, i couldn't get a hold of myself at the end. im a goth and its very rare to see me cry, but elfen lied touched my cold heart.
so if you didnt cry at the end then and you say its a load of rubbish, then you are one sick ****! do you hear me those who dont like elfen lied!

trying to see if i can think of even ONE person that has actually seen the entire series and didnt like it. i mean if you only catch like one episode somewhere in the middle of the series or something and dont actually see the differences between nyu and lucy than i could see why you wouldnt like it but those whove actually seen ALL of it, everyone ive talked to LOVED it

I hear a lot of people say that it's just a gorefest that the creators got bored and decided to make, but those people have not read the manga or seen the anime, so they are being dumb and judging the book by its cover.

Elfen Lied does not suck!! it just take an aquired taste for good anime to appresiate propperly ( 3nodding ) Thats why i think that people that watch elfen lied are very sophisticated (even though it has a hell of alot of gore, and nudity xp )

Ayane-Chan17 Ive been on websites that have said elfen lied sucks,That it is to emo or something like that. do you agree or disagree? The fact that you would come to an Elfen Lied guild to ask this, to me, just shows that you're petty and immature and doing this strictly to annoy the members of the guild, as opposed to actually give a damn about people's opinions on the show. Go back to CB.

benneb12345 I am the only person i know who has watched it. If people are labeling it with emo/goth maybe they should: 1)Watch the whole series 2)Truly think about what the creator was trying to tell the audience 3) Pay more attention to their emotions (and doing so isn't emo) 4)Stop labeling things I personally loved the series because it does go into full detail and shows the gore and provides insight about how fragile people really are. Agree with you there. Like those other animes, such as Naruto, don't get me wrong, I like that anime and all, but I mean if you fudgin' get thrown into a tree about 65 mph or more, and you hit your back directly, there is no way you're gonna get up, most likely your spine would be broken. It took me a little while with the gore, the nudity didn't bother me, because I read a lot of Rumiko Takahashi's work, even though InuYasha the anime was made for most age groups, the manga was made for older teens, lots of nudity and gore. It also gets straight to the point, like if you're pissed at someone, screw them! Just hack them in half, hehe. Sorry, that made have been overdoing it.... sweatdrop

To be honest, Elfen Lied is one of the best animes ever, but it really isn't for everyone. Its one of my absolute favorites, but thats because I like bleak and deppressing stories alot. I would go so far as saying that the anime is dark and even gothic at times, but I wouldn't say it was emo. I hate that damn word. Its the most overused word in the english language.

Akizu Dyclonius Eh.. In another Elfen Lied guild i'm in, A lot of people dislike nyu XD Dislike Nyu, like Lucy, ADORE Nana. mrgreen
Anyway: I think for the majority, Elfen Lied has been surprising successful. I actually watched it, not knowing what it was about, and feeling sick after the first episode. Yet, I wanted to see what would happened, so I treaded on, thinking to myself, "it can't get any worse." and -of course- it did. But after finishing the series and looking back on it, I realized that I really liked it, even if it had been -very- disturbing (for me). With that in mind, I think some people don't like it because of the gore and nudity that is so frequent in it -- that's understandable, right? Only, I think Elfen Lied was suppose to disturb you, sort of like Requiem for a Dream.
