Verdad smiled and stretched out her limbs. They weren't sore but with every movement, she could feel the fire of running so hard for so long. She was much more content with just flopping to her ide and watching her companion. Well, not directly watching him. it was much absently gazing at his reflection in the water. Red paws lazily draped over the bank of the waterhole but careful enough not to rest in the mud.
For once, the little orange cub wasn't thinking about what to do next or where to run next. She was just happily resting with her...friend. even with all he had done, she still liked him. Green eyes finally left the water and watched him though he kept his eyes on the sky.
"What'cha thinking about Matsai?"

The other pair of green eyes blinked, dropping to land on the orange form stretched out nearby. A small line formed in the forehead, and for a moment in time, he wanted to tell her. About the dreams that woke him crying out at night, about the visions that flooded him whenever he touched someone. About the lions that ran through them, sometimes familiar, sometimes not. His maw opened, then snapped shut, his face turning away from her as his wall went up again. No, she wasn't one to tell something like this to, even if she was half-way decent to hang around with.
"Stuff." He huffed lightly, dropping his gaze to his paws. Matsai shot his claws to scrape them through the dirt, cutting into it before they retracted again.

Verdad's tail began to twitch against her thigh as she watched him. She couldn't even imagine what plagued her blue friend. Small paws slowly dragged along the grass under them, green eyes slightly darkened. She had been expecting some sort of answer but she should have known that he wouldn't have told her anyway. A gentle sigh sounded out nd her head fell on her paws. Maybe there really wasn't anything wrong but he seemed off. Could it be when he touched him? The orange cub had never hurt someone by touching them before and he had seemed to be in so much pain even with a soft brush against his leg.
"Matsai..." The enrgy and happiness in her voice had begun to fade. She didn't want to ask but her stomach twisted with unwanted guilt "Why did it hurt when I touched you?..."

The small blue body stiffened, tension nearly felt when one looked at him. Black ears layed back against his head as she looked anywhere but at her, struggling to come up with an answer that would satisfy her, but not give too much away.
"Its nothing, Ver. It happens everytime I touch someone, not just you. Only my twin doesn't hurt me. I just see thing, is all. Makes my head hurt and stuff." Unable to stay still, he bounced up onto his white paws, pacing slowly back and forth.
Finally, the blue body came to a halt and emerald eyes fell on his companion. "Look, I've got to go, Ver. I'm... tired. I'll see you around, ok?"

Verdad sighed softly but smiled anyway. She just wanted to know why she couldn't ever touch her friend. Tail flicking slightly, she rose to her paws slowly. Green eyes brightened a bit as she looked to him, the smile idening as well. The pain that surged through her limbs was evident as she wobbled on rather sturdy looking legs.
"I guess it doesn't really matter anyway. I still like you even if I can't touch you."
In all honesty, Ver didn't mind being blissfully unaware of what was beyond his answer. Of course, she probably didn't know there was anything past his answer. Sometimes ignorance was bliss.
"Kay. Aden will be mad if I don't go home..." Her normal grin was restored on her maw as her legs stretched out. They both probably had a long journey back to where they had started. "Bye Matsai."
