VII. written disaster; a growth quest - part 1
Another dream. This time, it felt like reality.
Noah lay sound asleep on his bed, scrawled up in a little ball, shaking from the cold air that blew from his window. Sweat rolled down his face as he said, "S...St-ay A-a-way..."
...
Noah's dream took place back at the kingdom, but something was different about it. Right when he got there, he knew it. There was some dark aura that surrounded the castle, but he went in anyways. He wanted to see what was going on, but he didn't think about how bad it could be.
So he walked through the castle gates, only to find a small dog walking around. But the dog was different. It wasn't real. It was transparent and covered in black...black ink! Noah approached the dog and bent down saying, "Hi there little doggy!" But the dog's reaction was anything but cute. It started to bark at Noah, jumpining up and down, trying to bite him. "HEY! Don't hurt me!" exclaimed Noah, running into the castle.
He finally reached the main entrance and leaned against the wall, trying to catch his breath. "Phew..." he sighed, wiping sweat from his forehead, "What was that all about?" he asked himself, as he got off of the wall and started to walk up the main steps. He turned a few corners, still getting a weird feeling about the whole "dream."
He finally reached the floor that Ashe's room was located on, and his sense of danger was even higher now than it was before. "What's going on?" He would tell himself every so often. He took a few steps before he reached the room, but once he stepped inside, the doors immediately closed. "Wha--?" he said, turning around. He tried to jiggle the door knob, but it just wouldn't open! "Am...I...stuck?" he asked himself as he looked around the room.
But as he was looking, something shimmering caught his eye. He looked over on the bed, and there was a hand mirror that was covered in the same black ink that was covering the dog. He picked it up and the ink from the mirror started to drip down onto the floor, and before he knew it, it covered the entire ground! He shrieked as he jumped onto the bed, which was now covered in the black ink.
"What is this stuff?!!" he yelled, trying to avoid getting it on his clothing.
Noah jumped off of the bed and started to run around the room to find something to stop the ink from dripping. He looked for jars, but he found nothing. But instead, when looking in a drawer, he found drawings. He looked through the drawings, and after each one, he would throw on the floor. He thought that maybe the paper would stop the ink from flowing, but that only made matters worse.
Since once the paper touched the ink, whatever was drawn on the paper, immediately came to life! So flowers, animals, clouds, and many other things that Ashe drew formed inside the small room. But it seemed that these objects were all against Noah! They started to walk, or float torwards him, pinning him to a corner of the room.
"What are you doing?" he asked the animals, but they didn't respond. They continued to come closer, and it just ended up scaring him. "Stay Away!" he exclaimed, yelling that phrase many more times, but they didn't listen. As he realized there was nothing he could do, he closed his eyes, but as he did, he could hear crying. And it sounded like Ashe's!
"Ashe?! Are you here?!" he asked, sprinting to where the noise was coming from. The objects still continued to follow him, but once he reached the bed, they all stopped in their places. "What?" he asked himself as he looked under the bed. The crying was louder now, and so he crawled to where the head of the bed was, and found someone. He pulled that someone out of under the bed, but the person was covered in the same ink that was on the ground.
The crying slowly stopped and the voice perked up, "No..oah? Is that you?" The voice sounded very familiar, and Noah couldn't help but respond, "Ashe?"
But as he said that, he woke up, finding his pillow soaked from all the sweat and all the covers on the ground. It was morning, and it was all just a dream. But as Noah got up from out of the bed, he heard the same crying that he heard in his dream. He walked to where the source of the sound was, and he found himself in the doorway of Ashe's room.
His eyes widened as he looked inside. He saw Ashe, crying in the corner of the room, but surrounding her, were animals, all waiting on her command. Ashe looked up and said in a small voice, "Noah..Help me!"

VIII. written disaster; a growth quest - part 2
"Ashe...? What's going on? What did you do?" asked Noah as he slowly stepped towards the girl. On his way, the animals growled and hissed at him. As he got closer, they started to get out of control! They jumped around, still waiting to strike.
"Noah..help me!" Ashe said, drawing back tears. "I'm trying!" replied Noah as he started to walk even faster.
Noah finally got through without any of the animals harming him. He immediately confronted her about what happened, but she didn't know why. But Noah noticed drawings all around her, with ink stains bleeding through the paper. There was also a trail of ink dripping from Ashe's tail, and it divided itself to attatch to the animals in the room.
"What did you do?" he asked again, but this time she said something. "I was just drawing pictures, and then the pictures I was drawing started to come to life! They came off of the paper and they all surrounded me, but I don't think they want to hurt me...I don't know why though!"
"Wait, how did you draw?" asked Noah as he got even more confused than he already was. "With my tail!" "Hm...." Noah scratched his head as he thought of possible solutions or how the whole mess started!
In deep thought, Noah just realized that what was happening was just like what happened in his dream! "The weird thing is, is that in my dream, the same thing happened! Did you do something again?" "I don't think so..." she said with confusion. "Have you tried calling mom?" he asked. Ashe nodded. "I tried calling her, but she hasn't come up yet. I think she went out!" "I guess this is up to me!" Noah said with a determined look on his face, like it was some kind of adventure.
"So...first Ashe drew the pictures, and then they came to life. I'm guessing she has some kind of super power, but she just doesn't know it yet. Maybe she ate something, or got bit by a spider and then she miraculously got these powers...Hmm...That can't be it since she would die if she got bit by a spider...But her having a super power is so unfair! Why not me? But that MUST be it!" Noah thought. He continued, "So if she does have a super power, then there must be a way to stop her super power-ness! So if they came to life when she drew them, then she must be able to stop them by drawing a....what's that thing called again? Hmm...she should draw a......a...NET! That's right! A NET!"
"Okay Ashe! I have some idea of how to stop it!" he said with satisfaction. The animals were still restless and they started to get angrier. They then started to tear up the curtains and all of Ashe's toys. "What is it? Hurry up though! They might eat up the entire room!" Ashe said with a little hope. "OKAY OKAY! Since you drew the pictures, then they came to life, why not try drawing a net? And then the net might come to life too and capture all the animals! Then you can put paper underneath the net, and maybe it'll go back on the paper." "Okay, I'll try it!"
Ashe took a blank sheet of paper and flipped her tail in front of her. She first drew a circle on the paper, and drew lines across, forming a net. And just like Noah suspected, a net formed. Noah picked up one end and directed Ashe into picking up the other. Together they pulled the net on top of the animals and tied it together on the bottom.
"Okay got'em!" Noah yelled, "Now the paper!"
Ashe threw the paper underneath, and just like Noah suspected, the net started to grow smaller and smaller until it was back on the paper, now with the animals inside of it.
"PHEW!" said both Ashe and Noah. "You were right Noah!" she said with delight. "I know I was!" he replied proudfully. "But how did you do that?" "I'm...not sure...I was just drawing...Maybe it's my tail?" she said as she started to stroke her tail. The ink on it was now dry, and all of the ink on the ground dissapeared. "Hmm...I think you might have a super power!" he said with a nod of assurance. "ME? A SUPER POWER? I'm so special!" she said. "But just like the super heroes in the comic books, they need to learn to control them or else they might cause danger...just like now!" "Oh...I guess I need to practice then!"
Noah nodded. "I think we should clean up before Mommy comes! Or else we'll be in biiiiggg trouble!" Ashe nodded as she started to put away her drawings under her bed and as she started to put her dolls back in her toy chest.
"Thanks for helping me Noah!" Ashe said as she ran up to her brother and gave him a hug and a kiss. "Hey! Watch it!" he said as he couldn't help but kiss her back.
