Curse smiled at Mikki as she walked away "You're right about that Mikki, they are scared. They see a threat and they come together in overwhelming numbers, but when things look bad they break and run like rats."he mutters. He looks toward the thug who insulted Mikki "And as for you." The mans arm flailed around wildly, as though being shocked. After a few seconds, small distinct pops were heard, then the arm went limp. "Just in case youre wandering, that arm will no longer be of use to you. If I had severed it, it could have been reattached, but with this, the nerves are gone. Ill give the pain about 10 seconds to seep in." He said before he took off. And not even five seconds into Curse's flight came the man's screams of agony.

Curse looked sadly at Mikki. He could tell that he had done wrong by going to make sure she was safe. But he couldnt help it. Mikki wasnt there when they were in combat. She didnt see the friends she knew and loved die right in front of her. His mind went to his old best friend Miniman, who was the previous leader of the many mercinarys. He felt the old pain that he had felt when best friend had died in his arms. Tears welled in Curse's eyes. "Mikki, you have a gift. And it's the greatest gift of all, you have people that would die fighting for you." he said as he started to cry. "I have seen so much death in the past years that it makes all the past wars look like one big pillow fight. I have lost too many friends in the past, and I was only making sure I didnt lose you too."

Curse changed back to his human form, his facade. He felt the raw power of his true form drain from his body and felt weak again. He pulled out a small gray pendant from his pocket and gripped it tightly in his hand, forcing himself to say what he had hoped he would never need to. "Mikki, when you came into the Hellraisers, the angel Romi came to me. It was not the first time. In fact, she was the one who gave me the pendant of lightning. She told me to give you this when I thought you were ready for it. It was once the property of my best friend Miniman, and it holds the power of dominance. Anything you say, people will do without a second thought. I dont why, but apparantly you are the next leader of our syndicate. You dont have to take it, but I would if I were you."

"Oh, please." Curse said rolling his eyes "Do you really think that I would agree to give somebody this much power if I didnt think they would be good for the job? Miniman was my best friend. Ever since he died" Curse paused "Ive been the acting leader. Its a big job, but youll have me as your right hand man. And if the power does go to your head, which I really doubt will happen, Ill be here to help you. But think about this, youre a rare breed. YOU are both blessed and cursed. In all my years of fighting, I have never seen that. If you accept this pendant, then you will have the same amount of power as I do."

"It seems so." Curse said "So commander, what is your first order?"

"Just call the hellraisers and they will come." Curse said.

A short, pudgy, tired looking boy came forward "Yeah, um, why are you the leader now? Shouldnt someone like Sasquach be leading us?" Curse shot the boy an evil look, which made the boy wimper and go back into the evergrowing crowd. "Know this now, this girl was chosen to lead us by the lord himself, and I stand by her. She is the heiress to claim the blade Excaliber! Is there anyone who will dare to challenge both the lord almighty and me?"Curse yelled

The crowd remained silent, signaling that they had no objections anymore. Their numbers had grown to over one thousand in the area, and many more were still coming. "Go ahead." Curse said.
