why is israel not respecting the palestinians human rights and treating their own brothers like dirt?
In 1948, England gave "Palestine" (Israel) to the Jews. There was originally a plan to share the land among Palestinians and Jews, but Palestinians rejected this plan so many of them just got kicked out by the British.
Then, they start killing Israelis because they were pissed off. Israel defends itself by occasionally attacking back.
It has the right to do so. Almost any country in the world that is under attack will defend itself.
It was the UN, not Britain.
redface Also, kicked out by the British? I don't recall reading or hearing anything about Arabs being kicked out by the British because they rejected the offer. The British exiled many people who were making too much trouble, Arab or Jewish. Feudeaube still has relatives in Australia, for example. I don't think it has much to do with that.
My problem here is that not all actions really are defensive.
It's fascinating that we're talking about politics on the Jewish Culture thread.
