As he thought and focused on the amount of Hollows around him he nearly twitched from fright. Nearly. There were several thousand. Thousand. His senses didn't fool him- there were literally thousands of demi hollows around him, hidden behind the trees and behind the small hut he had killed the beggar in.
He took a deep breath. Today was the day he would stretch himself to his highest limits. Ten hollows burst out from the shadows, with an army following them from every angle. It was like an army of fishermen dumping a million pounds of fish into a round bowl. From every corner the fish would swing into motion, scrambling for air and scrambling to get the most space- that was in the middle.
And then ten hollows struck out at Ugu with their massive hands, pincers, claws, and horns.

He shifted his feet, dodging the incoming mass of hollows. He found himself in a circle, then, with himself in the center and with the massive amount of hollows around him. Every angle were the vast endless horde of hollow, unending in every sense. Whenever a shadow formed in the trees, several hollows popped out. It was an endless swarm of fishes in a small bowl.
He brought up his blade, and called Egeus into Shikai. A pauldron, measuring three feet long, were created on his shoulders. His sword stretched out a foot, and sharpened its curve so that it'd be more like a long sword than a katana. He brought his sword out in front of himself, then, and took a deep breath. Ugu let out a small breath. He then closed his eyes, focusing on the nearby spirit energy. His hold on his soul slayer remained lax, ready to move at any call to defend.
His mind shifted past the hollows, and the normal spirit-particle filled atmosphere of soul society, speeding to only him and his many opponents. He remained focused holding his blade in front of himself. He remained focused, completely balanced in mind and body. Another breath came from his mouth. It flowed out freely, not hampered by being tense or by fear. His shoulders relaxed, and his sword bobbed down an inch.
The same ten hollows attacked him, again, with the same merciless amount of attacks.

Ugu jumped up. He sailed into the air, some hapless twenty meters. The man looked down at the blackness beneath him, where the mass of Hollows remained jubilent in their frenzy. He paused in the air, thinking about the madness that they were all thinking twenty meters below him. He then thought about the happiness he'd bring them when he released them from their prison.
So, as he fell back down toward the earth, with Egeus raised high. He then brought down his blade in quick sequence, hacking at three separate hollows with three separate cuts.

His sword flashed downwards and cleared a small path for him to land. Hollws still lew around him, but now were covered in the blood of their fellows. Ugu didn't wait for his opponents to attack him back. He simply ran at the next set of hollows with his sword raised high.

He went up to another hollow, whom was the same height as he. Both seven foot tall giants, Ugu quickly let loose a cut that would slash through the hollow's face. The man then spun, doing a wicked red-coloured upper left to right slice across another hollow's face. Without a second to loose he then spun around again to cut open another hollow, most probably kill that creature too.

Black and red blood layered themselves along the path Ugu fought on. He shifted around it, flew and ran in it. He never stopped because of it. Blood stained his pigtail as his third blow caused a torrent of blood to flow upward toward the heavens above.

Blood soddened itself on Ugu's clothes. It lew thick on his black garb, unheeding to his violent movements. Still, though, with the thickening blood of his clothing, face, hair, and skin he struck out with his sword. He moved forward, violently, with savagry only meant for hollows. Ugu's sword sliced upward, against the chin of a faceless hollow's mask. His sword then went to the side, aiming to clear the face of another hollow.
Egeus then flew off on another tangent, hopefully destroying yet another hollow.

With his sword he had caused another three Hollows to be reborn. With his sword he had drenched the world around him in blood. With his sword he had caused the grass beneath him to die from the flooding of the hollows' blood. Blood. Masses, and masses, of blood. Blood...
The blood always stayed. The body of the hollow always fizzled out from existence. The blood, after the hatred and anger had been purged, always kept to where it had landed.

Ugu's eyes pierced the frowning visage of his face. The two lime orbs stabbed at the surrounding hollows, daring them to come at him. The shinigami, after his last attack, had stopped. He centered himself in his square stance, with his back facing an army of hollows behind and another army infront of himself.
He quieted himself. He closed his eyes closed and focused on the surroundings of his immediate self. The shinigami took a deep breath, easing the slight tension on his shoulders. While he took a breath, though, five hollows from the crowd around him sprung into action. Each hollow attempted to slash down at the human, aiming to clense him from the universe.
Each hollow moved toward the shinigami, raising their claws to swipe down at the 7'1 man. However, as they did that, he would take several steps back in an effort to dodge his opponent's rage-filled attacks. While he stepped back he attempted, with his seven foot long blade, to cut open three masks that belong to the attacking five. An upper cut, a sideways cut, and a downward cut followed in a swift movement, most probably slicing the Demi Hollow's masks into oblivion.

A spurt of blood fumed from the ghastly faces behind the masks. Each of Ugu's swings landed on their destined hollows, making their mark upon their dark hollow skin. Ugu's eyes still trembled with their focused anguish, albiet they were still closed from the world.
He then opened his eyes to the world around him. Two of the five hollows remained, and the rest of the hollow army left way for the two's demise.

Two of the five remained. Ugu's blade swished outward, attempting to open the mask of one of the two hollows. First was an upper cut, and the second blow-aimed at the second hollow-was a downward slice. His Zanpakutou flooded downward, with its bloodied edge reeping the blood of the past hollows it had cleaved.
As he delt with the hollows in front of himself a hollow snuck up on him from behind. It struck out at the Shinigami aiming to cleave Ugu's head off. The Shinigami tried to duck, moving out of the way of the attack whilst bending his right leg. He moved downward to his right knee and turned his whole body to face the attacking hollow.
With his sword trailing beside him he swung upwards as he himself righted himself. A large upper swing from Ugu would most likely cleanse the demon on the spot, or atleast send it sprawling backwards in fear. Probably.

His first two strikes hit the masks of the hollows, gaining a small spurt of blood in both up and down directions. However, his third cut had been dodged by the hollow that had attempted to attack him from behind. Ugu sped forward toward the soon to be dead hollow.

He brought down the blade that he had slashed up with. Egeus, with the blood of fourteen hollows and seven bandits still haunting its metal edge, flung itself doward at the mask of Ugu's opponent. Blood streamed off the edge of Egeus, making a small line of the red liquid flow from its sharp tip.

Blood spewed from the hollow as it was sent into the ground. Ugu's sword had slashed into its target, lining the ground with yet another splotch of blood. The Shinigami then turned away, bringing his sword along with him, to stare at the massive numbers of hollows around him.
