My friend is a lesbian and they banned her for it. The situation was that someone called her a... well I probably shouldn't say it here, but her reply was, "Actually, I'm a lesbian" or something similar and she got banned without ever given a reason as to why. D: It seemed very unfair.
My oldest account had a bunch of stuff. I had just reached one million neopoints and had a lab ray, if any of you remember what that is. I'm sure pixi can since she can remember the name of the Fairy Bubbles game. XDD~
I remember the reason I got banned was for posting inapropriate messages on the message boards. That would be some-what more believable if I had actually posted on their message boards, but whatever. After I got banned, I thought, "Oh well. Now I have more free-time to actually spend my life off the computer." .....Then I found Gaia. gonk

OMG I remember lab rays! XD I never used one though because I thought it was like pet cruelty. Anyway, I joined Neopets around when it first started. *goes to check* Yeah, my account is 68 months old: http://neopets.com/randomfriend.phtml?user=sailorjupiter8888888 I remember back then that while it was still a kids site with kids standards, it wasn't so friggin' strict. That didn't happen until a big bunch of people joined and they came out with merchendise. That's also when the inflation happened and when I stopped going on so often. Though I'm proud to say that my account never was frozen. :3 And Neopets is also how I got the customary "seven eights" at the end of my usernames.

Was it what funkified your pet and made him toxic looking? o.o
Or maybe those were different kind of paintbrushes...
The only things I really remember about neopets is that they're homophobic and have a cheese game. Ialso remember playing some kind of murder mystery game in their egypty section. =3
(oh, and I too would like to know the great 8 story!)

The lab ray is this thing you quest for by collecting all the lab maps, which are each quite expensive. Once you have it you can use it on your pet whenever and it will randomly change your pet. It could change its gender, species, paint brush color, etc.
Heh, everyone always wants to know the story of the seven eights at one point or another. XD;; Anyway, it happened when I started a Neopets account and was kind of young and computer illiterate. When I chose a username, I tried "sailorjupiter8" (my favorite sailor senshi with my favorite number) but that name was already taken so it gave me a list of some other numbers that started with eight. I thought it was telling me that I would automatically get one of those numbers so I clicked "use this number" without checking any of the boxes, causing it to refresh. I kept doing this not getting what I was doing wrong until I finally realized I had to check a box. After all the refreshing, I was stuck with three really long number choices and just ended up going with "sailorjupiter8888888." The seven eights have been my online status mark ever since. It may be n00b-like and have come from something stupid, but I could never part with the seven eights. XD;; Plus, it helps me avoid people who judge others by their usernames.

I remember the lab ray. I never got one though. I kept selling my map pieces 'cause I thought my pets needed food and toys more than ray things. xD
Getting back on topic, I just checked my worth again (I found a Nitemare Headband in a Pink boxy. o.o) and I'm worth 1,314,070 Gold excluding my current amount of gold, my housing items, the items in my storage, and stuff. I couldn't believe it! o.o I'm worth over 1 million gold. ^-^

I am envious. I get trunks and blue boxes every once in a while, but whenever I open them I usually just get something lousy and random like ballin it black headgear or some such nonsense.

Usually you'll click on a page and if you're lucky you find a box or something, well apparently the reason the event shows up is that there's a special little event address. So instead of going to your home page it goes to yourpage's url plus event=[whatever number event it is here]. The events are reset everyday so you can reuse the links to get stuff, but I don't know if that's just a rumor since the links have never reworked for me. You might not find an item at all if somebody has already found that item at that page that day so a lot of people just think those links are like a scam or something.
Meh, I'm not an expert on it or anything though so don't hold me to this stuff. It's just what I've heard. sweatdrop

What I've heard is that it only gives you an item if you had a random event, but didn't click on it. I'm not really sure how it works. ._. Those links never work for me, unfortunatly. So congrats and good luck to anyone who gets stuff from them or plans to sit for ten minutes clicking a bunch of links. XD
