"Ah, I see. I was just taking a little wa-LKKKK!" Marina screamed. At Kale's small shove, she staggared back into the water and fell on her bum, sending water everywhere. "Eyhaaah!" Getting up, she shook her head wildly and stomped in the water, splashing Kale. "That wasn't my fault this time, Mr.!" she said as she continued to splash him, although he was already wet.

Kale laughed, her reaction was really quite funny, His closed his eyes as the water splashed onto him, "Whoa!" He grinned and enjoyed to cool water. This was perhaps one of the last days the air would be warm enough for them to enjoy the water like this. Soon, the days would cool and more leaves would turn the brilliant reds and oranges of a dying leaf and fall to the ground. They might as well enjoy it while it lasted.
He reared up on his hind legs and dropped down again sending a huge wave over the blue mare. Both her coat and mane were dripping with water and her expression was priceless. He laughed and splashed her again, "You'll never get me if you don't try hard enough." He told her, eyes shining. He trotted around to her other side before cantering off a few paces, though not very far, the water prevented some movement.

"Take that!" she chuckled at the hit. Marina shook off some water, to prevent herself from becoming too cold later. Like a sprinkler, she showered the area around the pool throughouly, but still was soaked.
At the new wave, her eyes bugged out at the sight of it. It was so huge! As it came crashing down upon her, she squealed as the cool water hit. "Grr! I'll get you next time!" she barked playfully, chasing after him. Marina flicked her HOOFS out, sending dual splashes at Kale.
((Lmao, 'new wave' reminded me of the song Kids in America. xDD
Theres a new wave comin' we warn ya! LOL

Kale laughed, "Hey, you can try." He cantered away, enjoying the warm air as it dried his coat, He avoided most of the splashed of water, but some of it still managed to splash his sides and legs. He bucked, his back legs kicking more water toward her and the n cantered off again, keeping sure to stay just out of reach of her splashes, "You'll never get me if you keep this up." Her called toward her.

"Oh you bet I will!" she hollered back to him, working her legs to make sure she didn't slip, but slid everywhere on the slick grass anyways. "Whoaa!" she whinney as she slid foward, knocking into Kale. As her spindley legs tangled with his, they both teetered over and landed on thankfully dry grass. "Bleck!" Marina exclaimed with disgust as she spit out some grass from her mouth, trying to regain her balance. Turning and seeing Kale knocked over, she shouted, "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Kale! I slipped...and...and...aw! I'm so sorry!"

Kale groaned and stood up, shaking his mane out of his eyes, "It's....fine." He grunted, tossing his head and wincing, "Amazing how you can slip on almost everything. I'll have to remember never to let you near water again." He laughed softly, stamping a hoof, "You did catch me....though in a rather unique way, might I add." He cocked his head to the side, "Have you always been this uncoordinated?"

"I'm really sorry!" she said again, her face flushed red in embaressment. When Kale laughed, Marina relaxed a little, happy to see that he wasn't mad or anything. "Yes I did!" she stated proudly, grinning. Responding to his question, she replied, "Actually, no. I've never been this clumsy in my entire life..."

Kale raised a brow and chuckled, "I see, must be something in that air around here." He commented absently. Cocking his head suddenly he turned and gently nudged her shoulder, half-expecting her to topple over, such a clumsy mare she seemed to be. Clumsy...yet very amusing... he thought absently. With a whicker he trotted forward, "So tell me, Marina," He began, as he trotted around her for the sheer amusement of the thought that she might follow him and get dizzy.
For some reason, the thought of it ws cute and he bit back a chuckle. Intriguing.... He continued on, not wanting to let the silence lengthen, "What's your favorite thing? A season? An object?" It ws simply a question, nothing behind it at all. He was curious. Yes, that was it.

Marina sighed at his conjecture, obviously mocking her clumsiness. But she didn't mind if he did it, since she knew that he was a friend. Much to his delight, she did indeed follow him, revolving in place to keep on facing him. "F-faa...vorite t-thinggg~?" she mumbled, almost immediatly dizzy. "Huh...I guess I l-liiiike niiiights when the skyyy is clear and the moon is full and hiiiiiigh~~!" Finally, her legs gave way and she crumpled in a heap on the ground. Kale could almost see apples orbiting around her head as she mumbled and swayed eerily.

Kale laughed, "Really, Marina, you should watch what you're doing." He chuckled, halting in his trot. He nudged her head gently, and sighed, "So strange, and yet...." He trailed off, not sure of what to say. She was incredibly amusing and he truly wouldn't mind encountering her more often...he shook his head, snorting at the thought. What was he thinking? "My apologies." He began, stepping back a few feet to allow her to get up. His lips twitched upward, "But you should watch where you're looking; you could get hurt." He warned her, watching her with his green eyes.
It would never work, he thought vaguely, It just wouldn't, I can't let myself think that way, it wouldn't do.

"Hmph!" she pouted jokingly. "I can take care of my sellllllf!" Marina stuck her tougue out and laughed. Looking back at Kale, she noticed that he was lookinga bit sullen. "Hm? Something wrong?" she asked, concern dancing in her eyes.

"Wha?" He blurted, looking at her. Briefly, he thanked his parents for giving him such a dark pelt, it hid his flushing, "Nothing." He replied airily, "Nothing at all." He laughed and trotted forward, "Of course you can, and you can't fall, and can't get dizzy," He replied softly, avoiding her eyes. Dammit. he thought, frustrated, It's nothing, you don't need to act like such a love-struck fool! The voice in his mind paused, You aren't love-struck....right? He shook his head, rattling his inner voice into silence, "So...Marina...." He commented, and trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"O-okay..." she said quietly, a bit dejected about his outburst. Ignoring his comment, she just kept trotting at a slowing pace. When she kept seeing him contorted in thought, obviously about his own conflict, she couldn't take it anymore. "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU, KALE? WHY CAN'T YOU TELL ME WHATS WRONG?! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS, YOU AND I! REAL FRIENDS ALWAYS SAY WHATS ON THEIR MIND! REAL FRIENDS ARE OPEN WITH EACHOTHER! YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT THAN A CLOSED BOOK!" Flushing red at her first real scream, her eyes widened in horror. Hot, salty tears forming in the corner of her eyes, Marina dashed off, not even knowing where.
((Um, is it okay if Kale doesn't follow and it ends there? I sort of want to see what happens, but if you want to continue just say! I kinda and curious what would happen to their relationship with a break 8DDDD -evil me- Your call! I could go either way. Marina needs to meet some others, and it looks like Kale needs some soul-seeking. XDD What a discombobulated pair! lol))

Kale blinked, "...Huh?" He croaked, staring at her in disbelief as she screamed at him. Where did this come from? He watched as she ran away and took a single step toward her, and paused. Don't follow her. murmured a voice, It doesn't matter what she said. She probably just wants some time alone. He shok his head, turning away from her direction, "I don't know what I did...." He murmured, "But this is probably for the best anyway." He walked off, head hung low, and determined to avoid another confrontation.
