XIII falling stars Insizzors o_o people who go to arcades to kick a** on hard songs, and everyones all "OMG!!! THEY ARE SO TALENTED!ONE1!" When they practice hours every week stare Yeah. They were BORN doing every song on Supernova on Heavy and Challenge... Insizzors -Headdesk- @ Post above
Or when they only play the hardest songs. Nothing moderate. Only hard stare Like they're too great to lower themselves to play somthing Relatively easy. rolleyes Or holding onto the bar when they obviously don't need it.
Man, I hate showoffs. So they play hard songs, just because you play hard songs doesn't make you a show off. And all DDR layers practice a whole bunch. I'm so sure that it is their fault that people go "Wow, you're really good at this." I really don't see your logic here. confused The logic is that they aren't doing it because they just like the song, or they want to practice. They want to show off and seem like they are the DDR God of the world. They ARE showing off when they play like we were talking about. On the topic of kids, I actually got the cops called on me because some bitchy yet unwatchful parent got so mad.... her kid saw my wallet chain and decided to somehow reach up and between the bar to try to steal it. Long story short, there was bruising (not mine) screaming (not mine) swearing (some mine) and glaring (some mine). The cops actually told ME to be more considerate! WTF? I can't believe some parents.... When I was little, if you got hurt, it meant that you were told not to do it, so you didn't tell you parents unless you knew it was bad. Now, kids ******** have a whole ******** dairy farm if they bump their knee or something, and their parents let them!!! They look for the nearest teen to blame and sue... I hate them so much..... domokun bite them all.....

My cats generally lay down on my fresh black laundry (they refuse to lay on my whites because they're hoebags), not my DDR pads. It's slightly less annoying.
Another of my constant homepad nuisances is the fact that my pads not only slide and bounce like crazy, but they also only slide and bounce in one direction. So when I play StepMania, I go backwards, and when I play on my ps2, I slide forwards. Often I'll wind up getting mixed up and put my pad 8 inches from the TV right before a tough 9 or a 10, then I run into the cabinet and fail, or I'll put it 5 feet from my computerin a similar situation, and wind up running into the TV behind me. Dx

Don't worry. Once I was playing The Sounds of dj TAKA on my Ignition, and 14 minutes into it I slammed my ankle into the couch behind me and fell backwards because my pad had slid halfway under the couch.

Hahahah my soft pad is worse.
I can wear it over me because it's literally ripped in two with a huge hole at either end for me to fit through. I didn't tear it like that on purpose, either.

OMFG. I've never busted up a pad that badly..... but that's prolly because when I get a point where I know something like that'll happen, I face plant. Yup. Save the pad!!!!!!! *dives for kitty and tries not to hit head* That seems fairly common for any DDR player...... God. We're dweebs. I love it.

Eww.. Yea..
Back before my family has wooden floors (back then it was soft fabric..), I have difficulties playing DDR via a bootleg pad. (Before Konami finaly sell starter sets... smile ) I have no problem doing DDR at home...
In the arcades, there are some people watching me, but not disturbing me. (I'm not a good DDR Heavy player, okay?) Although, they give me good comments AFTER the game, which it was good. (I screamed "WHOOHOO" whenever I finish a hard Standard round that kills my callories.)
Also, me being carefull, telling little kids (well not the bratty ones.. Very cute ones) to stay back before I start playing! ^^; I would have bad luck if I were in you Gaian's shoes.. (And I don't care if I don't get tickets! I just want to have FUNNN!!!!!!! Yep. John's Incredible Pizza is one of the places..)

I have only encountered one (count em, ONE) cute kid when it comes to DDR. There was this tiny little Nihongo (Japanese) girl at the Gameworks that I go to, and she just stood near the machiene watching me play. She was too damn cute! After I was done playing, I talked to her and she only spoke Japanese (super cuteness!) she said she wanted to learn how to play, but she didn't want to mess me up. 4laugh Kid, whoever you were, I love you. You rock. The rest of the kids are snot nosed brats. IE: the cop incident.

O.O .. Wow, you guys are making me not want to go to an arcade to play DDR. I haven't really been to an arcade to play yet because I never have the time, so I just play at home. Maybe playing at home would be better.. nobody there to annoy me. stare
