Personally I think the whole thing would have been better off had they ended the episode when Danny held the gun to Sawyers head... I mean, we know Kate can't get off the island, she has no where to run, it leaves nothing to the imagination, personally I have no real large questions like I do at the end of other episodes.
There hasn't been enough with John and the rest either, I mean I know that Jack Sawyer and Kate being captured was a big deal and all, but the island still has the crazy monster thing, isn't that important, what about the polerbears, and what about Walt and Michael...
It was a good episode, really, the cage sex and everything, but I think they went too far, didn't leave you hanging... not the way lost has been known for anyway...

airyn rose The only thing that really annoys me is that they bring up about 30 new questions for every one answered. Also, I wasn't impressed that they chose this episode to break the season on...it was ok, but I agree that the last two were much better. Last week's episode, while sad, was very good. Heh, this cracks me up. Some of us are like, THERE'S NO MYSTERY THEY KEEP ANSWERING QUESTIONS! And some of us are like, ANSWER SOME GORRAM QUESTIONS! Burn_the_Witch I could of sworn I seen (Monica!Kate's husband) before..on the island.. @_@ *goes to watch first season again* He vaguely resembles William Mapother. Vaguely. Skyfish Hm...I really wonder what's up with Alex. Who is her boyfriend? Why does she want to see Ben? Does she really trust Ben that much?
and OMG @ Kate and Sawyer's cage sex. Talk about unsanitary. And I feel so sorry for Jack...when he saw that....aw I felt so bad. ((Yesh, I am a hardcore Jate fan))
I wish we didn't have to wait 13 weeks for the next episode D: I'd rather have a long break in between than have these random breaks in the middle of a season. It's already hard enough to wait 1 whole week for the next episode to come out.
I HOPE BENRY DIES. I don't think she trust Ben that much, but perhaps she trusts him more than Juliet. I probably would. I mean, Benry is shifty-eyed and devious, but he's really quite obvious about it. Heh, when Kate and Sawyer were having sex, all I could think was, "But aren't there cameras!? Don't they know the Others can at least hear them!?" and the mental image of the Others sitting around watching their free porn. I really think they could have given us two more episodes, and I agree that one long break between seasons is much preferable to a long break between seasons and then a break in the middle. But a big break in the middle is preferable to repeats. DIE REPEATS DIE. I hope Benry doesn't die. I would miss his evilness. wakusei My theory is that Alex's boyfriend is Karl (Carl?). See, this is why I don't think Locke will be a better leader than Jack. Because he keeps secrets, tons and tons of secrets, too. Maybe he blames Benry for his wife's death and will let him die. Bonus. He get's to kill one of Them AND Benry gets his.

I agree that there's too much focus on Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and the Others. It's been driving me insane about what happened to Sun after the whole incident with shooting Colleen on the boat.
I think the main problem is they've spread the characters too thin. We have characters captured by the Others, people back at the beach with Paulo and Nikki who have popped up out of NOWHERE (which just annoys me), and Sun and Jin who are God knows where. Also, Sayid was with them, but he's back and we've seen him in the past two episodes...so where the hell are they?
I still love the show, and think it's great. I think, however, that in completely separating Jack, Sawyer, and Kate from everyone else they've limited their ability to keep attention as easily. With the hatch, there was still interaction between the people that mainly worked in the hatch and everyone else.

Her fake name was Monica...o.O
I don't recall him being an Other. I only recall him being a space cowboy and a psycho priest working for The First....
I actually rather enjoy the Others...>.> But I liked the last two eps more than I liked this last one.
Yeah.. the dude sort of looked like Ethan, but he wasn't.

Yeah, the cage sex seemed kinda icky to me. And I kept thinking, "um...cameras are SOOOO watching you..."
I like Ben. He's a great (although sinisterl) character. Haha, I was thinking the same thing about when they were in the cage.. I bet Ben was watching them.. ninja

Did anyone else notice when Pickett said "Ben just put his life in the hands of one of them...Shepherd wasn't on Jacob's list".
WHO. IS. JACOB??? dunDunDUN...
Personally, I think that there is a "good" list and a "bad" list. Kate and Sawyer are bad people, so they're on the bad list and they're meant to die. They're only at the Others' camp site in order to make Jack do the surgery. Since Jack is on the "good" list, they will let him go free and back to his life once the surgery is done.
But since Jack did not do the surger right, and he jabbed Benry in the kidney....eh I wonder what will happen ninja

WTF!?
I was really hoping they would answer that at least a little more before ending the episode.

I was really hoping they would answer that at least a little more before ending the episode. Yeah...I was wondering what that meant as well. An interesting part of the episode that is easily forgotten when considering all the other things they showed.

I really want the first episode in February to not have any trace of Jack and Kate and Sawyer whatsoever. I want to know about Sun and Jin and Desmond and all the other people! The show is not called the Sawyer, Kate, and Jack Show. It's about all the people on the island(s). Arg.
But this episode was okay. I didn't think it was the BEST of the fall episodes. It was one of the better ones, though, in my opinion. Kate's flashbacks are a little redundant sometimes... But this time there was Nathan Fillion! He's awesome.
The ending wasn't as cliffhanger-ish as I thought it would be. I really wanted there to be something that would really make me go crazy. But Jack shouting at Kate to run isn't that...erm...exciting. Even Pickett with the gun wouldn't have done it for me. I don't know. I needed more of an excitement factor.
I really want to know what happened to Alex, because I really want to know more about her in general. I hope they don't just take her off the show, because that would suck.
Why can't February come sooner?

I don't know who Jacob is...but Jack not being on this apparent list makes me think the Others were only supposed to get Kate and Sawyer...not Jack, and that Ben just added Jack so that he could get him to save his life.

I don't know who Jacob is...but Jack not being on this apparent list makes me think the Others were only supposed to get Kate and Sawyer...not Jack, and that Ben just added Jack so that he could get him to save his life. I kind of hope that he will follow the directions on the Jesus Stick (Bible Thumper!) and get eaten by the monster. But he probably won't. But I really, really hope that Locke isn't the one who discovers the Other Island.
