These are the first cards to pop in my head when I think of the colors:

Blue: Counterspell
Red: Lightning Bolt
White: Serra Angel(its the first card I ever really liked so its a matter of opinion)
Black: Dark Ritual
Green: Birds of Paradise
Artifact: a mox

These are the cards that I think "define" the colors for me, probably not anyone else though.....

-serra angel is alway's been
the white beat stick.

Yep..run 4 in a G/W defense deck for type 2. It's pretty cool, and made me realize how good Serra Angel is.

I like em both. Although, Cleavage Angel (the old one) is kinda cool. I have 4 of the old and 1 of the new.

What do you guys think is the best Creature, Instant, Sorcery, Land, Enchantment, and Artifact (except Black Lotus or Moxes) in the game?

Creature: Masticore. It can win any fight, and is one of the best dual defense/offense creatures ever.

Instant: Ancestral Recall. I think it's the best draw spell ever.

Sorcery: Yawgmoth's Will. If you can resolve this, you usually win the game. They don't call it "Yawgmoth's Win" for nothing.

Land: Tolarian Academy. Ravager Affinity was a retarded baby compared to the Tolarian deck. So good, almost half of the magic population of that time quit.

Enchantment: Cadaverous Bloom. One of the most abusive mana engines ever. The main component of the ProsBloom deck, this card was banned in block and almost banned in Extended. If you've ever seen prosbloom go off, you'll see why this is one of the best.

Artifact: Honestly, I think Arcbound Ravager is an extremely powerful card. Hard to deal with, hard to survive, and with his partner Disciple of the Vault, he is one of the most lethal artifacts. Atog, but an artifact (helped affinity for artifacts), who keeps his boost and if he dies he can give his boost of counters to another artifact creature. o.0

InfernalPenguin
no worst cards ever are the ones that had to have rules written just for them.
Choas orb.
Humility.
The "ante cards".
....... shall I go on?

No no, because they've got uses. The worst card has to have 3 main characteristics

-Misplaced Rarity
-Totally Useless ability/Horrendous Drawback
-Crappy picture

Sorrow's path has all these, plus more.

Chaos Orb isn't bad at all, it's just hard to handle, rules text wise.
Humility has a myrad of uses, it's just a rules headache
The ante cards, according to the DCI and Wizards, didn't really have a place in tournament magic. I have a hard time believing that Contract From Below is a bad card, even with the ante (B, Sorcery, Draw 8 cards, put one on the ante pile).

I mean..Jeweled Bird might suck, but unlike Sorrow's path, it has no drawback other than ante, which isn't a big deal.
that can be a good card if you and your oponant have shadow creatures.... really beefy ones.

White - Promise of Bunrei: I run a white weenie deck, and some of you may know that White Weenie is fast, bringing out a lot of creatures. Most of them are weak, and some of them will die. So, sac the Bunrei and put 4 1/1 spirit tokens into play. With a few Glorious Anthems, its a great way to get some strong creatures.

Blue - Twincast: Again, a great counter card, except you don't really counter. Wouldn't it be fun to copy a Cranial Extraction and use against someone who tried to use it against you?

Black - Persecute: Against single color decks, this is the most deadly card for black. It only costs 4, and you name a color, then your opponent discards all cards of that color from his or her hand. You can't beat that!

Red - Blazing Shoal: For some reason, I love this card. I once beat an MUC deck using a combo with 2x Blazing Shoals, removing 2x Myojin of Infinite Rages to add +20/+0 to a 1/1 creature.

Green - Troll Ascetic: This thing is god. Tap 3 mana to bring out a 3/2 creature that can't be the target of spells or abilities, and it can regenerate itself. It's too awesome!

Artifact - Umezawa's Jitte: I combined this card to my troll, and eventually it became an unstoppable creature. Jitte owns!

these are just my opinions

black- easily something that both helps you and hurts you. because black is all about taking a chance, hurting yourself for an overall gain, i would have to say Visara, the dreadful. already it's a risk to have in the deck. blacks best cards cost 3, 4, and 5. plus are you really gonna want to save up for a 6 mana card?

blue- manipulating your opponent into doing whatever you want, and of course optimizing your options..so i choose the fatespinner. great ability for a relatively inexpensive creature.

white-protecting itself, making the field clear for it's army of creatues to get through, so i pick the exaulted angel. because she both hurts your opponent and helps you be able to sustain more damage.

green-green is all about producing creatures faster, bigger, and meaner, with the help of smaller faster creatures. so i choose the happy median the werebear

red- red combines speed and expendable creatures with burn spells. so i choose Ryusei, the Falling Star. he is both a dragon that is relatively easy to get out, and comes with a burn spell

artifact-now your probably thinking, "she's gonna pick the black lotus because, so far, all the cards named have that feel. plus it's the most useful card on turn one. or maybe one of the new mirrodin cards" well your wrong. i mean except for sunburst what's three mana of any color gonna do you? is it better then three colorless mana? (tis is only if your doing a pure artifact deck) no! i choose the best artifact creature, the ornithopter

gold- ahh. gold. the staple reason of making bad multicolor decks. so lets go with the sliver queen. pretty much a staple in a sliver deck. lots of bad decks are modeled after some newb gets their hands on this and a huge pack of slivers.

land- ohh. you know what? lets just say all of the duel lands. sinc i'm not gonna go into the urza lands.

enchantment-verdant succesion. most green decks have more then 1 of each creature. right? ok 'nuff said

sorcery-book burning. probably one of the best burn spells to play on turn two. i mean your opponent is gonna take 6 damage. or risk dropping some good cards among those top six. and if your using threshold. you can book burn yourself and get threshold on turn two

instant-ah. counterspells. or rather the counterspell, dissapate. for an extra 1 you get to remove that pesky spell that you saw in your oppnents hand the turn before

creature-and the best creature card in the entire game is this one. it's a unique card. a dragon, to be precise. thats right. i;m talking about the shichifukujin dragon. you've never heard of it have you? that's to be expected since only one exists in the whole world.

and now the pictures to the cards that i named
best

black-User Image
blue-User Image
white-User Image
green-User Image
red-User Image
artifact-User Image
gold-User Image
land- i'm not gonna do the multicolored lands. basically the are both kinds of land in a single. card. you get to chose to add one type or the other when you tap them
enchantment-User Image
sorcery-User Image

instant-User Image
creature-User Image
oh right. for the dragon. the first two that you sac don't need to be on him. it doesn't say that
