... When I was a kid and played Power Rangers, I was the rainbow ranger. ;o; This was after I had been the White Ranger, but then Tommy stole that from me. DAMN YOU, TOMMY.
And it's only now that I realize how gay being the Rainbow Ranger really was. XDD

Arrien Here's a trick. Look for things that inspired, terrified, or awed humans. Find things that have power; if the myth has the power to trigger emotion, then there is likely to be something in it that can be seen as a source of power. And it's the source of power, always, that should be considered for a Fa'e; not the people who happened to be around it, unless they have their own individual sources of power. *nods thoughtfully* For my concept I think I've got something with emotion behind it... The Wolf Girl is an urban legend so it has the 'eek don't go out in the woods at night it's gonna get you run' type of fear to it, as well as sympathy because she's an orphan, and morbid curiousity because her background is unusual, but I'm still grasping for the source of that power. I mean, any guy with a hook for a hand can be scary, so what? I feel there's some legitimate supernatural background I can weedle out of it but I'm not sure how without making it lame. I've come up with a new idea after doing some more research on the area she's from...but the new idea comes down to 'soul fusion with alligator demon' which is kind of a WTF thing. This is like the one thing I'm stuck with and it's biting me on the ear like a freaking gremlin. I'm so gonna shell out the 1k once I reorganize my bit about powers.

You could always say she was possessed by the spirit of a wolf? Or maybe plan that when she grew, she might learn the medieval version of shapeshifting, which was done with the skin of the animal involved... I dunno if that gets too close to Silver who's based on a werewolf but totally wolf all the time - maybe ask him or Sosi, if you liked the idea?

My real name is Kimberley, so when I was little everyone used to make me the pink ranger. I hated pink though. XD
Here, I have a question. Leviathan never did have any powers to speak of, you see, but I added on a little fictional useless power to his name. What am I supposed to do? Is that alright? o_o Leviathan was just powerful in his past life, but it didn't relate to magic whatsoever.

I think adding some powers would be okay. Especially water ones - I'm sure that the magic used to rebirth him/her would react to their desire to be in water, or around it...

@Mega: I was actually reading over the new history you have for your quest, and I like the concept of it. It's certainly heading more in the right direction for a Fa'e concept, I think. <3 I'm very interested in seeing what you end up doing with it!
@Baniru: I agree with Kali here. Not all powers that your Fa'e develops will necessarily be wielded in their past life. Dusty'd have a pretty boring magical side to discover if that were the case, given that the only ability of Excalibur's scabbard was a god-moding sorta invincibility that I'm just as happy not to throw at her and call good. XD As long as there's a reason for the power that makes sense with your Fa'e and their background, there's no reason to limit it to what the Fa'e had in their past life.
