"But stories are so much more -interesting-!" she enthused, waving her arms about as she hopped, "They're all about adventure and daring and -fun-!" she beamed, "It's exciting to hear about that stuff, especially on days when the wind's died and the ship is moving slow and boring."

Avani laughed. "I guess stories are pretty interesting. I hadn't thought about it much since brother left. He was the one who used to tell me stories when I was a very little girl."
After they had exited the cave and reached the shore, Avani brushed the mud off her skirt.
"Have you ever tried looking in libraries for stories? You travel so much, you could find a lot just from that!"

She shook her head, "The Port cities don't usually have libraries in them, and we're never about long enough to travel to another city that has one," she said,
"But! I get a lot of them on the ship, so I don't need a library. I'll create my -own-!"

Avani shook her head and smiled. "You're a strange one, but that's ok, I still like you," she laughed. "When you've got a book that's famous one day, I can tell everyone that I met the crazy author."
She looked up at the sky. "So how long are you here for?"

"Oh, I don't think I'll be an author. I don't make up stories, I just collect ones already made up or things that really happened."
She looked up at the sky as well, then blinked, looking sheepish, "Actually, I had better head off. We're due to set sail soon."

The young earthbender sighed. "I suppose I should get home as well." Her nose wrinkled at the thought of leaving for home. "Although, this was pretty fun, it's sad for it to end."
She looked at Ina curiously. "Do you know when you're going to be back her?"

Ina shook her head, "Whenever the wind blows us here," she smiled, "But tell me where to find you, and the next time we're in port I'll look you up. That should give you plenty of time to find another story for me!"

Avani hesitantly jotted down where her father's house was, folded the paper and handed it to Ina.
"Oh, I'll try to find stories that you don't already know, for sure," she said laughing. The little earthbender gave Ina one last toothy grin and ran towards home.
