I ran into Yuki again, this time without Malloren. Tartara Slowly Yuki walked out in front of the big building of Headquarters. Malloren and him had been exploring the woods and then...Poof! He turned and then she was GONE! The male's pretty green eyes shone slightly with worry for his protective sister, hoping dearly that she was alright. He would have gone inside the building to look for one of his siblings but...to his dismay he found he wasn't big enough yet to reach the door handle. But he had his doubts anyway that he was strong enough to pull it open even if he could reach it. Mall... [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya had been stalking after this bunny for a long time now. Every time she got close enough though something strange would happen. It felt like all of a sudden she had leapt forward to exactly where the bunny was but she'd look back and she herself still there, crouched down on the ground ready to pounce. And then she'd be back where she was just moments before with the bunny bounding off again and she'd have to give chase again. Whatever was happening was driving her crazy!
She gave a sigh as the bunny got away once more. That was it! She didn't want to have it for a pet anymore. She looked up from the chase to realize that the bunny had led her to the grassy area in front of HQ. She was about to turn away and walk home when she noticed a small, black blur standing by the door. Could it be? - she squinted her eyes and then broke out in a smile.
"Yuki!!!" she cried out and went running over.
Tartara >>The sweet demonic was about to start jumping in a vain attempt to reach the handle, when suddenly his name rang out. Yuki's head snapped to the side, causing the little yellow bell around his neck to chime slightly<< Sylve? >>He blinked before a very gentle smile touched his face. Finally. A familiar face. He wasn't alone anymore. The male took a step forwards as if to start to meet her half way but thought better of the expressive action<< [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya finally reached him, a little out of breath - she had been running most of the morning after that weird bunny. She waved to to him as she caught her breath, wondering what he was doing out here all alone.
"Hey Yuki!!" She looked around "Where's Mall?" Tartara Slowly the smile faded as he looked down at his feet. "I lost her in the woods..." He lightly frowned. "Guess you no see her..." [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya frowned, noticing his sad impression. She didn't like it when he looked so sad, so she went over and gave him a hug. "Well, I was chasing this strange bunny so I wouldn't have noticed her anyway. " She wondered why Mall would have gone off and left her little brother all alone. "But why are you standing outside though?" she asked curiously. Tartara He lightly blushed at the hug, slowing patting her back awkwardly. "Bunny?" Yuki shook his head before glancing at the door of the headquarters. "...I can't get inside." He admitted softly [chainedfaye] Syl thought he seemed slightly embarrassed about this. " Well, why would you want to go inside anyways?" She asked him cheerfully, trying to put the smile back on his face. "It's beautiful out today and besides we can have more fun out here! " She paused for a moment as she thought "Let's play adventurers who are searching for their lost friend deep in the jungle. That way we can find Mall!" Tartara "I...was looking for tristen or someone big..." He murmered before those green eyes of his went wide. "What if we get lost then?" He wasn't a 'scaredy cat' so to say. Just smart. If they got lost, what help would they be to his sister? [chainedfaye] Syl waved her hand dismissively at his concern. "We won't get lost. I grew up in the forest" she pointed to the Loki'Nei forest just visible on the horizon. "I've explored lots in there! Trust me!" she nodded enthusiastically, before adding. "'Sides if we do get lost that's an adventure all its own!" Tartara "You sure?" Yuki spoke hesitantly, glancing at the forest where she pointed. "It's...big. Really...big." sweatdrop [chainedfaye] "Of course! And yeah it's big but not that big. 'Sides I'll protect you!" She puffed out her chest and put her hands on her hips in an attempt to look big and strong. Tartara The male innocently blinked at her, tilting his head slightly. "Yeah but...who'll protect you?" [chainedfaye] "You will of course! That's what friends do we protect each other" Sylvestanya informed him matter-of-factly. Didn't he know how this friendship thing worked? She sighed a little. "Look Yuki, I've spent a lot of time in the forest, it's where I live. " She giggled "Well, no I live in a giant pumpkin, but you know what I mean. And nothing seriously bad has ever happened to me before. Sure, it was kinda spooky in there at first, but you get used to it after awhile. If you want to find Mall, the best place to start looking is where you saw her last. " Tartara Slowly he nodded, looking at the forest. With a slow breath, he walked towards it like any good brother would. Malloren would never admit it, but he knew that she needed him. He was what kept her from making the big mistakes in life. Like making mom angry. "...you live in a pumpkin?" [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya wanted to clap! He was going to go with her! Good for him. She smiled triumphantly. Turning, she grasp his hand in hers to walk alongside him, cheerfully swinging their arms wildly between them.
She nodded to his question as she answered. "Yup! I was too little to remember it but Sally, do you remember her?, somehow talked a pumpkin into using its life energy to make itself reaaaaal big and Sally did some magic or something I'm not really sure to turn it into a little house for us. It's really cosy but I wish I had my own room " she crinkled her nose in distaste. Sally was nice but sometimes you just wanted to have somewhere to go and get away from everyone. Which is exactly why she started to explore the forest. "So do you live in the HQ's? Do you have your own room???" Tartara He blinked in surprise and embarrassment at their clasped hands, looking out forwards while walking. "Cool..." He always wanted to live in someplace weird. Like...in a cave like Raken, or on the sun. The sun was so toasty, he would love to live there! "I live with mommy at HQ's, in her room. We're too young." [chainedfaye] Sylve rolled her eyes.....she heard that all the time too. 'You're too young that, you're too young this.' She was defiantly sick of it. Oblivious to his embarrassment she kept a tight grasp on his hand and gave it a small squeeze when they reached the each of the forest. She paused before going in to pull a tree branch out of the way and asked in what she hoped was a reassuring manner "Are you ready?" Tartara "Thats what mom says." He sighed, blushing all over again as they reached the edge of the forest. Yuki nodded boldly and smiled at her. "Yeah. You?" [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya nodded and walked into the darkness of the forest pulling Yuki in behind her. Something brown running away caught her eye and she turned to see it better. "Hey, it's that bunny I was chasing earlier!" she exclaimed and started to chase after it yet again, still tightly holding onto Yuki's hand. She didn't want him to get lost in here all alone twice in one day.
Tartara His eyes widened at the rabbit, going even further as he was dragged along. He smoothly picked up the pace though, the feline genes in him making his movements quick. "You want it?" Yuki murmured, simply looking at it as they ran to follow. He felt an odd sort of tingly sensation. Like when Sylve had jumped off of the couch. [chainedfaye] Sylve looked back when she felt the pull on her arm decrease and smiled secretively when she saw him running alongside her caught up the chase, relieved that he had, at least for the moment, forgotten his apprehension.
"Yes" she gasped out in between breaths. She couldn't explain what had happened this morning with the bunny as she was chasing it, and it felt strange but natural at the same time, almost like it was something she just never knew she could do before. She didn't understand it. "It's a funny bunny" she cried out and giggled at her own silliness. Tartara He nodded, emerald eyes intent on the bunny even as a smile lighted on his face. "Mk!" The little boys heart pounding, he slipped his hand from Sylve's to drop down on all fours. Instantly his running became smoother, as he didn't have to press as hard to keep up. The tingly sensation nearly sent his fur on end. [chainedfaye] Slyve stopped to watch him (and catch her breath) as he took off running and leaving her behind- he ran so gracefully, the flow of his limbs working together in harmony was almost mesmerizing. But her thoughts were interrupted by the sharp shriek of the bunny they were chasing and her eyes snapped back to it. 'Strange' she thought as she ran to catch up with the boy, Yuki wasn't anywhere near it and yet it had tripped or fallen over something. She hoped it wasn't hurt! Tartara His feline instinct kicking in hard, he zoned out on all but the rabbit. He wasn't going to actually HURT the thing, oh no, the mere thought of that horrified the child! He was hoping to trap it. But then at it's shriek...he was snapped back into reality, harshly stopping in his tracks as the tingly sensation eerily went away. The demonic was still a good bit of feet away from the thing though! He hadn't touched it! Yuki looked around slowly, eyes growing wide. "...Sylve?...where'd you go?" He softly murmured, trying to find her with his eyes [chainedfaye] She giggled silently and tiptoed up behind him, to tap him on the shoulder. "Right behind you!" her laughter breaking free.
"What happened to it?" She could see the fluff of brown up ahead wiggling around, like it was in pain. She stepped away from Yuki to the bunny and bent down to take a closer look. Tartara He jumped at the tap, puffing up like the furball he was. "Sylve!" Yuki took a deep breath. "You scared me." And with that, he pointed at the fluff of brown before walking to it himself. "I...I didn't hurt it...did I?" [chainedfaye] Sylve giggle faded. "Sorry, I didn't mean to. I thought with all your cat-like characteristics you'd be able to hear me. " She bent down to examine the bunny that was frantically trying to get away, but something was wrong with it. " No" she answered him. "You were nowhere near it when it got hurt."
"Shhhh I won't hurt you" she said softly to the creature, hoping to calm it down. When it stopped struggling she let her hand brush up against its fur and was surprised to find it hard and breaking off as she petted it, and melting in her hard. Sylve stuck on her tongue and tasted it...it was chocolate! A chocolate bunny! How strange.
But the bunny let out another little cry of pain and she looked over at Yuki, concern written all over her face. "Yuki, what's wrong with it?" Tartara He frowned lightly, smoothing out his tail. "But...it seems lately...things get hurt when I'm around..." eek Maybe...maybe he was turning into a monster! Part pae, part cat, part monster! Yuki pushed the thought away as he bent close to the crying rabbit, slowly pointing at it's foot. A long crack ran through it, probably from it's crash. "Maybe?" [chainedfaye] Yuki's words made Sylve pause...it was kinda true, bad things sometimes did happen when he was around. He was a black cat though, weren't black cats supposed to be...
Another cry coming from the bunny distracted her from her thoughts though and her attention was diverted back to it. She nodded seeing the crack he was talking about. "Yeah, that's probably it. It looks bad, I hope it doesn't hurt to much." She stared into the little bunnies eyes and the strange feeling she had been experiencing this morning happened again. A weird tilting sensation and then she was looking up at herself! How could that be possible? She titled her head and was not surprised to see Yuki sitting there looking at the her-that-wasn't-her. What in the world was going on?? Almost in answer of her question, a wave of pain echoed through her right arm...exactly where the bunny was hurt. An idea occurred to her but she shook her head...that couldn't be right, could it? The shaking of her head seemed to disconnect her and she was relieved to find herself looking back down at the bunny at not up at herself anymore.
"Yuki, its in a lot of pain how do we make it better?" she cried out. Tartara "Uh...uh...uh..." eek How was he supposed to know? He was barely 7 months old! "uh...uh...uh...ah! I be back...promise." The feline stood to dart off, running on all fours again for maximum speed. [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya watched, a bewildered look on her face, as Yuki ran off. Where was he going? She held the bunny to her chest and tried to comfort it. Tartara Shooting off, he was gone in no time. Several minutes ticked by...no Yuki. Only silence. The male was searching...searching...aha! He padded back over to her, something oddly green in his mouth. [chainedfaye] She waited patiently, worry starting to etch into her face...where had he run off to? She was about to start calling out his name when she caught glimpses of the boy returning through the bushes. "Yuki, where'd you go? I was worried" she started to say before noticing the odd greenness in his mouth. "What's that?" Tartara He promptly dropped the...vines onto the ground. eek Worried? About him? "I'm sorry Sylve...I had an idea..." The male sat down, picking up the vines and then gently beginning to tie up the cracked up bunny leg. [chainedfaye] Sylve watched as he wrapped up the poor injured bunnies leg with the vines. "Quick thinking Yuki, that was a good idea. But next time, you shouldn't run off into the forest all alone." She let him finish wrapping its leg. "That should help him for awhile...you think maybe if we took him to the healing house the faeries would be able to help him?"
Tartara "Sorry sylve." He repeated, tail going still. He had went alone because he could go faster then the ghost. But he honestly didn't mean to worry her. The feline pae didn't think anyone would ever worry about him except Malloren. At her question, he promptly nodded. "They should..." [chainedfaye] Sylve nodded and patted him on the shoulder as she rose holding the bunny to her chest carefully. "It's okay Yuki." She honestly wasn't sure what bothered her more, that he ran off all alone and could have gotten hurt or that he ran off with saying anything and leaving her all alone.
She glanced around the area to try and figure out where they were now. "I can get us out of the forest, but I've uh never actually been to the healing house before. Have you?" she asked. Tartara Good question. Yuki quietly thought about that, quickly looking back at the places he saw. Slowly he nodded, frowning as if in deep thought. "Mom showed us when we saw Raken." One of the few visits over to the demonic pae when mommy had to take a rest. [chainedfaye] "Great! Let's get going then" Sylvestanya replied as she started to lead them out of the forest. It shouldn't take them too long since they didn't get very far into the forest in the first place. She felt guilty about having to temporarily postpone their such for Mal but then the bunny had gotten hurt cause she decided to chase it too..."Maybe we will get lucky and find Mall on the way." Tartara sweatdrop "Mall...would eat the bunny." He slowly responded, lightly blushing as they walked. Hence why he wanted the rabbit gone before they found his sister and why he had literally bolted to find the vines. [chainedfaye] Sylve almost growled as she clutched the bunny even tighter to her chest, eliciting a squeak of protest from the shivering creature. She looked down and patted it on its head as she released her tight grip on him. "Sorry little guy. I just don't see why anyone would to hurt you. I think I'd have to hurt them if they tried." She already felt incredibly protective of the bunny. "Let's hurry then " she said as she quickened her pace. Tartara He quickened his own pace, eyes widening slightly in innocent horror. "You wouldn't hurt mall...would you?" Yuki asked quietly. Just like Malloren was extremely protective of him, he was extremely protective of her, he just showed it only at the appropriate times. When she mouthed off to someone, or when someone tried to hurt her. [chainedfaye] Sylve frowned in thought. She didn't like the idea of hurting Mall either.... "Well, I don't want to but it's not right for her to just eat an innocent little animal and somehow I don't think I'd be able to just talk her out of the idea. " She sighed. "I guess I would have to do what she made me do to protect him. Let's hope it doesn't come to that though."
They exited the forest and she turned to him expectantly. "Which way now?" Tartara "Talking wouldn't work." He agreed softly, nodding. "With you. She'd listen to me though...I hope." Yuki then looked left and right, trying to see something familiar...he started off to the left. [chainedfaye] Sylve stopped for a moment and blinked. She hadn't thought of that. She never had imagined that Yuki would stand up to Malloren for her little bunny. She smiled and scurried to catch up. "Thank you Yuki" she said softly, as she followed him. Standing up to Mall took a lot of courage, or at least it did when she had earlier. Tartara It was hard. Which was precisely why he would rather just avoid that mess. The feline smiled slightly at Sylve before quickening his pace. He recognized the place, they weren't all that far! [chainedfaye] Sylve scampered after him, struggling to keep up. She'd forgotten how lightning fast felines reflexes could be, and Yuki was certainly an example. Though, it probably didn't help that she keep scanning the area around her, fearful that at any moment, Malloren would leap out and devour her new little friend.
"Yuki" she asked, the worry evident on her face "are we almost there?" Tartara He quickly nodded. "No worry...it'll be okay." Yuki sharply turned a corner and skidded to a stop. His dark green eyes took in the impressive sight before him. The house of healing [chainedfaye] Sylve turned the corner behind Yuki, belatedly noticing that he'd stopped suddenly right in front of her. She skidded to a stop, trying to avoid a collision with the feline, but her momentum carried her through and she crashed lightly into him, not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough to unbalance her. The ghost child flailed, trying to regain her balance, but with one arm holding the bunny up, she didn't have much success. Right before she fell, her hand snaked out to grab hold of Yuki's shoulder, hoping he would help her steady...she would hate to fall and perhaps hurt the little bunny closer. Tartara The girl slamming into him, his head snapped around as his arm shot out to snake around her shoulders to steady her. A hand right in between her shoulder blades, his eyes were wide. But not from embarrassment or shock, but genuine concern. "You okay Sylve?" [chainedfaye] Sylve giggled. "Yeah thanks. Just wasn't ready for that sudden stop." She petted the little bunnies head. "Let's go get you all better." She smiled warmly at Yuki before turning and heading towards the rather intimidating building. I twas huge and had a certain air about it....majestic almost. She just hoped they were able to make wounded animals all better too. Tartara sweatdrop "careful..." His catlike reflexes had caught her that time, but reflexes weren't everything. Yuki scampered after her, going up the large white steps. The attendants inside looked...mystical, unreal. His ears flicked back in nervousness, tail going still. [chainedfaye] The fairies inside the building were all scurrying around, busy with their tasks. None of them noticed the two small children at first until Sylve said "excuse me" to one of the creatures fluttering past. It stopped and looked down at her. She held the bunny out in her arms " His paw is hurt. Can you fix it?"
The fairy plucked the bunny up out of her arms and in a flutter of wings started to fly off down the hall. Sylve shot a questioning look at Yuki before scurrying off after her. The fairy was getting further and further ahead of them and she didn't have time to look back, she just hoped he was following too. Tartara eek They were stealing the bunny! He sped after them, dropping onto all fours for his nails to scrape lightly against the ground. There was NO grip on the floors here! [chainedfaye] The fairy in front turned into a room and Sylve followed, stopping at the door to look back. Not aware of Yuki's problem, she looked back to find him still quite aways down the hall...what was he doing? She shot him a somewhat annoying look and gestured madly for him to hurry up. What if they had to protect the bunny from the bad fairy that had stolen it!?!? She would need his help! Tartara At her gesture he softly mew'd, slowly skidding along. gonk It wasn't his fault! He made quite the ruckus now as he forced himself along, scraping the floor up to heck. Yuki repressed another cry then as he realized one thing. There was no grip for him, he was now scratchily running his way through...how was he supposed to stop? [chainedfaye] Just barely hearing his mew, Sylve glanced inside for a moment before stepping out into the hallway. Nothing seemed to be happening inside yet and she couldn't figure out what in the world Yuki was doing. She stood there, hands on her hips, waiting impatiently for him to get closer. Tartara How was he going to stop? How? Where were the breaks on these things?! gonk This wasn't very fair! "Sylve!" Oh no. Oh no no no. He was gonna run into her! Turning his body, the feline swerved to do a 180, sliding backwards as he tried to run in the opposite way of his momentum. Finally he just dug his nails in, skidding as the floor screeched. Yuki stopped an inch from the ghost, white lines now 3 feet long engraved on the ground. [chainedfaye] Sylve eyes grew big. What in the world?!?! "Yuki, Yuki are you okay??" she cried out, running around in front of him to help him stand up. "What happened, what where you doing?" she questioned him, carefully looking him over for any signs of an injury.

Tartara @___@ He slowly looked up at her, blinking. The male hesitantly stood, looking at his broken nails. Malloren was going to make fun of him now. Yuki sighed and smiled for Sylve, nodding. "No...no grip...I slide...But, I'm okay....sorry." He winced, knowing she was now worried. "sorry." [chainedfaye] Guilt seeped into Sylve conscious as she looked at his nails. They looked horrible and must have been terribly painful she though as a grimace crossed her face. "Poor Yuki" she cried out as she swept him into a hug. "I'm the one who should be sorry Yuki, I had no idea! I would have helped you if I had only known." She felt terrible...she had been encouraging him to hurry up!
"Maybe the fairies can fix your claws too Yuki" she said with a trace of sadness in her voice. Tartara He lightly purred, glad she wasn't mad at him. She had looked so irritated at him earlier. Yuki lightly hugged her back. "It okay...really." He continued to smile, ever the sweet one of the two black cats. "Sides...we gotta check on the bunny first." [chainedfaye] The bunny! She had almost forgotten about him! She giggled at his purr as she squeezed him one last time before releasing him from her hug. She really like the way that sounded...too bad she couldn't purr too! She reached out and held onto his hand, careful of his claws just in case they hurt, and helped to lead him into the room. Tartara He obediently let himself be led into the room, fingers stinging. The bunny came first though. Yuki so swallowed down his uneasiness at being in a strange place and quelled the threatening whine at his injured nails as they walked in. Instantly he looked around for the mysterious fae. [chainedfaye] Sylve was surprised to see, when she entered the room and gave it her first real glancing over, that the fairy had not taken them a healing room, but a room that looked suspiciously like a kitchen. And indeed it was she discovered as she finally located the fluttering fairy half hanging out of a refrigerator, rummaging around inside for something.
Whatever it was the fae must have finally found it as she turned back around with a jar in her heard and opened a drawer only to pull out a knife. 'Oh no she was going to cute his leg off' was Sylve's first thought and she raced forward to stop the creature.
But before she could reach her, the fae had pulled open the jar, stuck the knife inside and starting spreading a white paste over the crack in her bunnies leg. Sylvestanya stopped and looked at Yuki questioningly. Tartara eek They were too late! As Sylve suddenly yanked forwards towards the rabbit, he gave a yelp of pain from his hand, but ran along with her. He stopped with her at the appearance of white paste. "Oooohhh...they sealing him up..." he murmured, green eyes wide [chainedfaye] Hearing, his yelp of pain, Sylve gave him an apologetic look ands gently released his paw. She didn't want to accidentally hurt him even more.
She addressed the fairy still slathering on the white paste. "What's that?" with a suspicious and accusatory tone in her voice.
"Frosting" the fairy replied. "Vanilla. For some reason vanilla works best on chocolate bunnies. He will be fine in a few days." Sylve looked at her in surprised relief. Vanilla frosting...who would have thought?
She turned turned and pointed back to Yuki with concern. "Do you think you could help my friend too?" Tartara "frosting?" How...weird. Before the male could open his mouth up again though, the fairy scooped him up onto a counter. "I-I'm okay!" But the female continued to inspect his cracked up nails.
"So you were the ruckus outside..." The feline winced and the fairy lightly smiled. "Don't worry about it." She gently set the rabbit down on the counter. "I'll keep him overnight to the wound doesn't immediately open again, but you can come back for him tomorrow. As for this one..." She glanced meaningfully to Yuki before walking to a sink and wetting a cloth. She came back and started to wipe at the blood. "Careful on the nails for a while. They'll grow back, but it'll take longer then the bunny's cut." She tossed the cloth into the trash and took up a pair of clippers.
eek [chainedfaye] Sylve started to giggle when the fairy plucked him up and plopped him down on the counter. Her smile was quickly replaced with a grimace though when she saw the clippers. Oh dear!! Those looked painful!!
The little girl moved as close as she could to the counter Yuki was sitting on without getting in the way and gave the feline an encouraging smile, all the while feeling terribly guilty. Tartara He looked sadly at Sylve as the fairy took a hand with the clippers. He didn't want her to see him yelp again, didn't want her to worry. Yuki opened his mouth, looking back at the healer...just as she was moving on to his other hand. eek He hadn't felt a thing!
She smiled and gingerly picked Yuki up as she finished on the second hand. All cleaned up. She held him out to the ghost pae. "And you can take your kitty cat home now."
... gonk What did she say? [chainedfaye] Sylve sigh with relief that those terrible looking things didn't hurt him. She would have felt even worse if they had. She was still glad when the whole process was over though.
Her kitty cat? It took a moment for Sylve to process what the fairy had said. Did she mean? She couldn't! A funny look crossed face and her jaw dropped open. She did!! She had absolutely no idea how to respond to the fairy.
"No he's not a kitty, well he is but he's a pae too, and he's not my kitty, he's my best friend" She finally spluttered out with a look of embarrassment at Yuki. Tartara He vigorously nodded, coloring slightly. He was Sylve's best friend? "I'm Yuki..." the male spoke softly, looking at the fairy who immediately looked embarrassed herself.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I just thought...with the bell collar...and the tail...and claws..." She gently settled Yuki to the ground. "Sorry again."The feline scurried next to the ghost, careful of his clipped nails. [chainedfaye] Sylve giggled, wondering what it would be like to have Yuki as her pet kitty. A look of horror dawned on her face though as she thought of Malloren. Oh guardians, it was a good thing that fairy said that to Yuki and not her. The fae probably would have gotten her eyes scratched out...or worse, Mall could have scratched her eyes out! She shuddered at the thought.
The ghost turned to Yuki. "Erm, maybe we should go find Mall now?" Tartara He quickly nodded, a bit horrified that he had forgotten about his sister. Malloren was probably freaking right then. Yuki flashed a forgiving smile to the fairy before taking a step back towards the door
She nodded "Alright. Just be careful now....and again, sorry." sweatdrop [chainedfaye] Sylve petted the bunny one last time. "I'll come back and pick you up tomorrow little guy. Be good!" She turned and held out her arm for Yuki just in case he needed a little extra help walking on the slippery floor. She certainly didn't want a repeat of earlier! She held back some and let him set the pace. Tartara He took her arm and scampered off with the female. He could run normally, but he wasn't about to refuse her offered help. Yuki smiled. "Thanks Sylve." The feline spoke quietly, slightly embarrassed about the whole pet ordeal still [chainedfaye] Sylve smiled encouragingly at Yuki, patting his arm gently with her other hand. "Don't worry about it. That's what friends are for. Besides you helped me with Mr Bunny and that means a lot to me.
Sylve was keeping a careful eye out for Mall. She wasn't worried about encountering the female feline anymore but she wasn't sure what would happen when they did find her, especially since she had been away from Yuki for so long now. She knew the girl was protective of her brother. It was best to watchful. Tartara "Well...sort of my fault that he got hurt....sorry." He hadn't mean to. He had just looked and then felt tingly and then suddenly it fell and got really hurt and he must be such a monster... [chainedfaye] Sylve stopped walking and turned to look at Yuki. "No, it's not your fault! You didn't want the bunny to get hurt did you? So it's not your fault!"
"I've been thinking though, I mean you are a kitty and they say black cats are unlucky sometimes. Maybe you need like a good luck charm or something" she suggested. Tartara He blinked at her, tail going still slightly with sadness. "I...don't believe in luck." Yuki admitted, tilting his head slightly. [chainedfaye] Sylve giggled, and on an impulse hugged him. "Don't be so sad silly! And how can you not believe in luck? Isn't it lucky you, me and Mall met and become friends?" Tartara The feline blushed again, smiling sheepishly. "Okay, one good luck thingy." Speaking of Mall... Yuki looked around. There was no way that his sister would look for them in the house of healing. [chainedfaye] Sylve smiled triumphantly and resisted the urge to clap her hands together. A small victory, but a victory nonetheless. Sylve joined him in looking around. "You think Mall's back at HQ by now?" Tartara "I...don't think so." sweatdrop He loved his sister, he really did. But the feline couldn't find her way out of a paperbag. Her talents lay anywhere except for natural sense of direction. [chainedfaye] She frowned looking up at the sky. It was starting to get late and it wasn't a good idea to wander around in the dark, especially when one was lost. They would have to find Mall soon. Sylve started to slowly walk in the direction of HQ anyways (didn't cats always somehow eventually manage to find their way home?), loudly calling out "MALL??" every few steps. Tartara He walked after her, looking about worriedly "Mall! Mall!" "Yuki!" Something black and fuzzy bounded out of the brush, slamming right into the demonic male. eek He was knocked onto his back, blinking in shock up at Malloren's...terrified face. Her bright yellow eyes glistening. She...mall...SHE was...CRYING?! [chainedfaye] Sylve turned, relief flooding her face at hearing Mall's cry, she was starting to get quite worried about the angel feline. But her relief quickly faded into...surprise? wonder? disbelief? It looked almost like Mall was crying..but that couldn't be right could it? Tartara "Where did you go?" Malloren whimpered. She was all alone, wandering around in the increasing darkness, and was scared out of her wits. And this was the mall hardly anyone saw. Yuki gently patted his sisters head, roles suddenly turning as he was the stronger one. "Sorry mall." The feline nodded, purring lightly at the light pat before it promptly cut off. She had seen someone else in her mad dash towards her brother. Slowly her head turned, horror in those glistening eyes. Sylve. [chainedfaye] After seeing the look on Mall's face, Sylve decided it was best to forget what she had seen and just act like nothing had happened. After all, everyone got a little scared sometimes. She smiled cheerfully and waved.
"Hiya Mall! We were looking for you!" Tartara "Yeah..." She grumbled lightly, plainly embarrassed. She scrambled off of Yuki, looking down at the ground as if a chastened child. Yuki sat up with his sister off him. "Glad we found you mall. I was worried." That only made her blush all the more. Her stupid brother was too sweet for her own good! [chainedfaye] Forgetting for a moment she was supposed to be pretending nothing happened, Sylve softly added "So was I." She did think of her as a friend after all, and to be honest she really didn't have very many. Two to be exact. Her face brightened once more though and she declared "I'm hungry! Now that we're all back together, lets go get something to eat!" Tartara He nodded, taking Malloren's hand. "To the HQ?" "Yeah...okay..." She looked at Sylve, practically daring her to take Yuki's free hand like she's seen her do. [chainedfaye] As they resumed walking Sylve held her arm out for Yuki. It was more out of reflex now then anything, she didn't want to accidentally hurt his paws. She grimaced. Just wait for Mall to notice that. She was sure she was gonna get blamed for the whole thing. Well, it was her fault though even if she hadn't meant for him to get hurt. And she was supposed to be protecting him too. Her face fell even more. It's no wonder Mall didn't trust her around Yuki. Tartara Yuki took Sylve's arm, oblivious at how Malloren was on the lookout for just that. He smiled at her and then at his sister as they started walking. His two bestest friends. She fairly glared daggers at the ghost behind Yuki's back, not at all pleased. Sure, mall didn't know about the whole claw thing (if she did she'd be all over the female) but she didn't like ANYONE except for her and maybe mom touching Yuki. The only thought that really stopped her from outright hating the female, was the knowledge that this was probably just childhood friendship. They'd grow apart in their next stage. [chainedfaye] Sylve was brokenhearted about the whole thing and the look Mall was giving her didn't help. She hadn't taken very good care of Yuki had she? If only there was some way to prove to Mall that she cared about Yuki just as much as she did. She thought it was rather nice the three of them walking together, but she wished Mall and her could be better friends. Right now she just felt....like she didn't belong. Not yet anyways.
Sylve stopped walking. She felt a sudden urge to leave, especially before Mall found about about the claw incident. She knew the overprotective sister would be furious and didn't think she could handle her wraith right now. "Oh I uh just remembered I left something at the Healing House and well since Mall's here you don't need me to protect you anymore Yuki and well I better go back and get it real fast, bye!" Without another word she scampered off back the way they had just come. Tartara He was almost about to start humming happily when Sylve stopped, which made him stop, which made him stop Mall. Yuki looked at the ghost pae worriedly, mouth opening to ask what was wrong. Too late. She ran off. Yuki looked at mall, confused sadness in his dark green eyes. "Did...Did I do bad Malloren?" His tail went still, and if his ears could flatten in depression, they would. Felines were known to be clever...Sylve had left too quickly with an excuse for him...him specifically not to come. She blinked at Yuki before slowly shaking her head and hugging the male. "No Yuki...no. She's just a meanie." gonk "Sylve not a meanie mall...she's too nice." She sighed, hoping that teen stage came really, really soon. "Come on Yuki...lets go home." She started to pull him back in the direction they had been walking, now knowing her way with the knowledge of direction. [chainedfaye] Sylve had actually ducked behind a bush as soon as she was out of sight of the pair but still within earshot. She had heard everything they said and felt bad about hurting Yuki's feelings. She'd like all she did was hurt him...maybe she should stay away from awhile. Once they had left, she slid out from her hiding spot to mope all the way home.

April 8, 2007 Easter
A few days ago while exploring, I found this really pretty looking egg: I decided to take it home with me since it seemed so out of place with no one to care for it. Today a bunny came hoping through the gardens sniffing around for something. He seemed strangely familiar and for some reason I could understand what he was saying. He said he had lost a very important easter present, a purple and blue chocolate egg and that he would get into lots of trouble with the Easter Bunny if he didn't find it and soon. So I said to him "Oh I found that a few days ago, wait here I'll go get it for you" and ran inside to bring it out to him. "Thanks" he said "that's twice you've helped me now" And that's when it clicked! The reason he was so familiar was that he was the exact same injured bunny Yuki and I had taken care of some time ago! I asked how he was doing and he said the fairies at the healing house had healed him right up. We talked for awhile longer before he said he had to get the egg back to the Easter Bunny but that he would come back to visit me later. And he did, a few hours later he was back.
When he did come back I asked him what he did after Easter and he said that unwanted chocolate bunnies usually melt sometime during the summer and are reformed every year from the leftover chocolate! How horrible!! And so I told him he was welcome to come and live with me and that he certainly would never be unwanted! He said he had to finish his Easter duties but that as soon as he was done he would and so now I have a chocolate bunny friend! His name is Mr. Willy Wonka, (he's a very proper bunny evidently). I just call him Willy for short though. He's a sweet little bunny and keeps me company when I'm lonely.

May 7, 2007I was coming home this evening rather late from exploring the forest when it happened. The sun had just set as I was getting near to the pumpkin patch, when a chill went through my body. It was so cold I started shivering uncontrollably. With the chill came this terrible pain shooting down my arms into my fingertips, through my legs and into my upper body. I cried out as it seemed like with every beat of my heart, it was going to explode. I had fallen to the forest floor in agony and was writhing around praying that Sally or Alaera would happen along, hearing my cries or just coming to look for me. But no one came and I suffered alone in the dark for I don't know how long, though it seemed like an eternity. Finally a blinding light appeared around me and I closed my eyes against it's brightness. The pain slowly faded away.
When I opened my eyes again, the night was back to normal, though I was still more cold then I had ever remembered being before. I lay there for just a few more brief moments to gather myself before getting up and running the rest of the short way home. I was relieved when I entered the clearing to find Alaera and Sally sitting around a fire talking, but that too quickly faded away as they both looked up at me with fear in their eyes. I just stood there, not understanding why, until recognition dawned in their faces, and then I slowly approached them. I could feel that something inside me had changed, I didn't know what exactly, but their reaction only confirmed for me that it was not something good.
I sat down next to them, close to the fire trying to warm myself from the chill that had settled down deep inside of me and looked back and forth between the two adults waiting for them to say something. It was Alaera that finally broke the silence.
Quote: "Sylvestanya, what happened to you dear? You look so pale." Alaera reached out a hand to pat Sylve's hand comfortingly but the ice coldness of it made her draw her own back quickly in shock. "I don't know..." Sylvestanya spoke quietly and hesitantly, still uncertain herself what had gone on. "I was just...just on my way home and then it just got so cold all of a sudden....and then there was this horrible pain." Her voice faltered at the memory of the intensity of the pain. "And then there was this bright light that enveloped everything...and then it was all gone." She finished, looking up at them, hoping they would explain what had happened.
Alaera looked over at Sally, but the distant look in her eyes suggested the woman was no longer paying much attention. She turned back to the newly changed teen. "Well dear, I don't remember a transformation like that when I turned into a teen and Sally never was a teen in the first place. I'm not quite sure what to tell you." Sylvestanya's head snapped up. "Teen?" she repeated blankly. She got up and ran over to the edge of the small stream to look down into her reflection. Sure enough, the face that looked back at her was that of a teen. There was something else different though, something she couldn't quite grasp. She stared into her reflection, trying to figure out what it was when it finally hit her - she could she the tree behind her in the reflection of her face. She raised her arm to take a closer look and her heart fell when she noticed she could see through her arm too. She was transparent. Sylvestanya slowly walked back over to the fire and sat down heavily. "Sally, Alaera, I'm see through. What happened to me?" she moaned as she put her head in her hands. Sally finally came out of her thoughts and she put an arm reassuringly around the forlorn girl, ignoring the cold that seeped into her. "Sweetheart, I think I owe you an explanation" she said apologetically. She felt the teen stiffen under her arms but pulled her closer anyway. "Alaera, do you remember when we first met, that I told you Sylvestanya was a special little girl?" She paused, and waited for Alaera to nod, before she continued. "Well, there's more of a story to it. You see on a night called All Hallow's Eve, a woman broke through the veil between the land of the living and the land of the dead. She was being pursued by someone, I know not who, because of the infant she carried in her arms. And so she escaped into this land, but the effort left her weak and drained all the life energy that still cling to her form. Thus, drained, she passed from existence, but before she did so, she left her child in the safest place she could find and prayed that the Guardians would protect the infant. They granted her prayer. As the infant lay hidden in a patch of pumpkins, the Guardians created her protector from the nearest suitable thing they could find - a pumpkin with a mother nature. I'm sure you already know, I was that pumpkin, and you my dear sweet child were that infant." Sylvestanya just looked at Sally in disbelief. "That's impossible" she whispered. Sally shook her head sadly. "No my dear. I know it seems like it would be, but it's not. And there is no denying it now...you belong to the land of the dead. You are a ghost. You have always been a bit strange as a child, having powers even in infancy, when most others do not get theirs until they are children." She sighed. "You were twice blessed by the Guardians though, as they gave you another power, a power of the Pae and they warned me that one day you would fully develop your ghost powers but they did not know when. It seems, that with your coming of age, that day has come. "
She paused for a moment before continuing afraid of terrifying the already scared girl. "I think what happened tonight, as you transformed into a teenager, is well...I think you died my dear. You are truly a ghost, but because you are a Pae too, you are allowed to stay here with us. I'm so sorry I never told you sweetheart, I had hoped this day would never come."
Alaera looked on in shock at this revelation as the girl between them started to sob uncontrollably. It was too much for a child her age to bear, she thought miserably, wishing there was something she could do to relieve the burden. Sylvestanya should be out having fun with her friends, flirting with boys not facing her own death. But if she was allowed to stay then couldn't everything go back to normal? She shook her head. It was possible, but it would take some time for everyone to come to terms with. Alaera got up and moved over to the sobbing teen, taking her into her arms. "Sally helped me get her into bed." Together they lifted the girl up and brought her inside the pumpkin house to lay her down on the bed and cover her up, heaping the blankets atop her cold shaking form. They let her cry, taking turns watching over her during the night, but it was a long time before the teen fell into a restless sleep. I don't know what to feel, what to think. It's too much. How are you supposed to react when you find out you just died and are a ghost now?

Not much has happened since Sylvestanya grew. She has not been home in some time and I worry so much about her. She needs time I suppose, to get used to the idea. And it feels almost as if I betrayed her trust by now telling her everything from the beginning. I'm not surprised by her reluctance to come home and see me. I just wish I knew how to help her.
I've been tending to the gardens mostly lately. With the added patches I'm much more busy than before. And my power is so unpredictable. I cannot control to what patch I teleport to and it takes extreme concentration on my part to even be able to teleport in the first place. I try practicing but it seems like more often than not, I end up teleporting between pumpkins in the same patch. When I do manage to teleport to another patch, I use the time wisely to weed and care for the pumpkins there. Sometimes I am able to teleport home, but most of the time I end up walking back. At least I am getting more familiar with the island. I haven't encountered Ivy again yet, I am almost afraid to see her after offending her and then disappearing the way I did.

I've been spending most of my time away from home. I just can't stand the way everyone looks at me. Especially Sally. This is all her fault. Why didn't she tell me what I was. Why did she lie to me all that time. Thoughts race around in my head chasing each other, but no answers come forth. I am lost.
I wander now, as my thoughts do, through the forests. Mostly at night. I'm always cold now it seems, but the chill at night isn't quite so bad, almost as if the moon's places a cloak of darkness around me. I eat what I can find. I can't face anyone yet. Everything has changed. Who am I now? What am I? Pae'il or Ghost? No one seems to know. I am lost.

I was awakened this morning quite early by a knock on the door. The sun had just barely risen in the sky chasing the remaining threads of night's darkness away. Thinking it was maybe Sylvestanya, I rushed to the door and flung it open with excitement. Now that I think about it, why would Sylvestanya knock, this is still her home. At least in my mind it is. There was no one at the door though. I was about to shut the door when I noticed a small bag laying on the front step. Bending down I picked the bag up to examine it closer. There was a note attached that read "Plant Me." Curious, I brushed it aside to discovered the small bad was actually a satchel of seeds! And judging from the picture printed on the front of the satchel, they were red rose seeds! 'How lovely' I thought and rushed to the garden to plant them. Morning is the best time to plant you know, and it certainly seemed like these were in a hurry to be. I planted half the bag thinking I would save some for next year, it's not often a mysterious person leaves a bag of rose seeds on your doorstep. I hope they start growing soon, I've not had roses in the garden before. They should smell lovely! I think I'm going to go back to bed for a bit now though.

Oh my goodness gracious! You will never believe it! After my nap this morning I went out to water the roses I had planted only to discover they had already grown waist high! Not only that but their vines were weaved together into one almost like they were supporting something. So I moved closer get a better look and imagine my surprise when I noticed in the center of the tower of rose plants there lay sleeping a tiny little red colored pae baby wrapped up in leaf swaddling! I simply could not believe my eyes! A child had bloomed from the roses I had planted only that morning! I reached out and plucked the little infant out of the rose, waking her up. She had the most amazing pale white eyes, a stark contrast to the deep red of her skin tone. Her wisp of hair was a dark green. She was colored exactly like a red rose! She smiled at me and reached her tiny little arms out, grasping for my hair.
In that moment I think I felt the first surges of love for the infant. She was my baby, I had given birth to her. Not physically no, but I had planted the seed that blossomed into this wonderful gift. Never had I felt this way before, not even with Sylvestanya. It filled the empty hole in me her absence had left. Sylvestanya didn't need me anymore. But this little infant did, just as I needed her. The Guardians must have sensed that need and sent her to me. Bless them.
I brought her inside the pumpkin. Strangely enough I couldn't quite tell what she was - demon, angel or faerie. It didn't really matter to me though, she was sweet and innocent and she would be loved with all my heart no matter what kind of creature she turned out to be. I felt a bond between us, me once being a pumpkin, her blooming from a rose...it felt like fate. I pulled the rocker over to the window to let sunlight stream down on her face (plants need lots of sunlight you know, especially growing ones), as I hummed her a song. After awhile she drifted back into a peaceful sleep.

It started storming a few days ago. Really hard. Harder than I've ever seen it storm before. Rain in torrents, thunder, even lightening. So Rosie and I have been stuck inside. I miss my gardening terribly but at least the plants are getting some water. And Rosie the energetic little girl is practically bouncing off the walls of the pumpkin. She's bored. So am I. It this keeps up much longer, I may take her for a walk in the forest and hope it keeps us dry enough. She needs to burn off some energy and I'd like to reconnect with nature. I hope Sylve found someplace safe to stay.

Tartara Yuki sat up in a tree, tail gently swishing. He was watching his sister carefully down below as she idly sharpened her nails. It felt weird being bigger, and weirder still being up so high. But he liked it. He always did like trees, trees and birds. "Yuki, how long do you think we've been out?" The angelic called up to her older brother, examining her sharpened nails. They were thinking of saying hi to their brother Raken, just because he simply LOVED her. The thought made her chuckle slightly. Just one of the many who didn't really like her "I don't know." He shrugged, a hand reaching up to comb through his midnight hair. "Mmm...a half an hour? maybe less? Maybe more?" [chainedfaye] Sylve had been doing a lot of wandering lately, both mentally and physically. As she roamed around without direction so did her thoughts, aimlessly circling her mind. A ghost now. She couldn't get over it. Everything was different now.
She hadn't been home in days, mostly spending her time hidden in the forest where she had died...strangely enough she felt most at home there, the last place she had truly been alive. She wondered if she would ever feel that way again. But it was to home now that she was headed, a strange wind had the isle in it's hold and judging from the thunderous clouds moving in there was soon going to be a storm, and she for one didn't want to get caught in it. Idly, she wondered where Willy was at, hoping he was somewhere safe.
As she was traveling through the trees though she stopped, suddenly realizing she wasn't alone anymore. Looking around she spotted Malloren, probably one of the last people she wanted to encounter at the moment. She stayed rooted to the spot, uncertain if she should say hello or simply move on without acknowledging the other's presence. Tartara "Yuki, you're useless." She joked, lightly laughing. A flash of lighting then, and the crash of thunder. She jumped The males eyes went wide and he jumped down, little collar bell tinkling softly at the graceful movement. "We'll see Raken later. Lets just go home." He reached out a helping hand, pulling Malloren onto her feet before turning towards headquarters. His expression went blank. It was the only way to describe it. Just, all emotion left at that moment before suddenly, a happy smile bloomed on his face, heart swelling with joy. "Sylvestanya!" [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya too jumped at the sound of thunder her eyes drifting upward to the sky. Her eyes diverted, she didn't see the male feline jump down from a tree overheard. A storm indeed was brewing, she needed to hurry home. She was just about to turn and head home when...
She jumped hearing her name called out, and her eyes snapped back down to earth focusing on the scene in front of her. Yuki. How could she have not noticed him before? It was almost foolish of her not to realize he would be close by, he and Mall were almost always together weren't they? She suddenly realized it probably looked like she had been spying on the two of them and blushed slightly, embarrassed.
She smiled shyly and softly greeted them. "Hi Yuki. Hi Malloren." Tartara She deeply growled, moving closer to Yuki. "What are you doing here Syl-" "Sylve!" He bolted forwards to wrap his arms around the ghost in a hug. A lightly blush on his face, he didn't immediately jump back even as the rain started to come down. "I'm sorry Sylve...I didn't mean to be bad." He spoke softly, almost inaudibly with the sound of water pounding against the ground. He was referring back at the healing house when she had left. She had just left, didn't know why, and then didn't see her until now. Several weeks later. [chainedfaye] Sylve suddenly found herself being pressed up against Yuki as she was enveloped in his hug. She hesitated, afraid the coldness of her skin would scare him away, but the cat didn't seem to have noticed, and so she wrapped her arms around him to hug him back. His fur felt warm against her and she smiled, feeling better than she had in days. Maybe it didn't matter that she was a ghost after all.
"Oh Yuki," she sighed softly, patting him on the back gently, "You weren't bad I was. You got hurt cause of me and I was afraid if I stayed you would get hurt again and I didn't want that to happen. And you had Mall again to protect you, so you didn't need me around anymore." Mall's growl reached her ears then and she reluctantly pulled away, looking back up at the sky.
"I was on my way home. I had hoped to get there before the rain started but...." she trailed off, unknowingly answering Mall's unfinished question. Tartara He blinked at her with all the innocence and naivety of a child "You didn't hurt me Sylve. I only hurt. The bunny, you....I'm dangerous." Yuki looked up at the sky. "We should run to headquarters...do you want to come? I can make some hot chocolate?" He was completely fine with rain, Malloren was the one that freaked out with water. She was not a very happy kitty. Wet, angry, and ignored, she was absolutely miserable. This wasn't supposed to happen, they had been separated for weeks. Why was her brother still so happy and warm towards Sylve, even after she had hurt him? The answer stared her right in the face. The male was always too kind for his own good. [chainedfaye] Sylve started to shake her head no, aware of the Malloren, not wanting a conflict to arise between the two of them. But then Yuki's words sunk in. Dangerous? Yuki was far from dangerous. "Yuki, you're not dangerous. Those were just accidents. I'm just clumsy, even Mall can tell you that. And once the rain stops we can go find Willy and he can tell you it wasn't your fault, just an accident.
She couldn't just let him keep thinking he was dangerous. She sighed, resigned. "Ok, I will go with you, but only if Mall doesn't mind. She somewhat hoped Mall would say no. Then she wouldn't have to go with them and probably end up hurting her friend again. And who know what would happen if they found out she was really a ghost now. Tartara He shook his head. "Too coincidental. Mom walking into a door, Raken misplacing Dyas, the rabbit tripping, you mislanding, only Malloren isn't effected when I go all tingly." It was honestly starting to scare him. He really was a monster. Yuki looked at Malloren. Even if he was dangerous to Sylve...he missed her. "Yuki, you....but..." The girl looked at the ghost female and then her brothers sad face. It startled her with the realization of what he said. It was true. Everywhere he went, things went wrong. She had always assumed it was her because she was already with him, but it made more sense with him considering she wasn't around with the bunny incident. "Fine, fine...lets just get out of the rain." She grumbled. [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya blinked in surprise at Mall's reaction. She had expected the female feline to adamantly insist that she not come along. What was she going to do now? Not able to think of another excuse to leave and still wanting to get out of the rain as quickly as possible, she nodded in agreement. And hot chocolate did sound kinda good. "Ok, let's go." She would have plenty of time there to convince him he was not a monster. Tartara He immediately brightened and nodded, making his little bell ring again. Yuki took a hold of Sylve's hand firmly before taking malls and started to walk towards HQ. He was going to try this scene again. She grimaced, still not happy with the rain and that she had let Sylve come with. She didn't like her, the ghost didn't deserve to hang out with her sweet brother. And the worse part was, she knew that her sweet brother would be angry at her if she didn't agree to the other coming along. Malloren had practically been forced into it [chainedfaye] Sylve tensed when Yuki took hold of her hand, expecting the question to arise any minute now. She had imagined it in her mind a thousand times it seemed. Yuki asking in his innocent way "Sylve how come your hands so cold??" And even though she had imagined so many, she still wasn't sure how she would answer when the question was finally brought up. It was just now though, and after a few moments had passed she relaxed, content to just be with her friends once more. Well friend she really should say, she was certain Mall didn't consider her one, though she wished the girl would. During their time apart she had been thinking too about how she would prove to Mall that she cared about Yuki just as much as she did but nothing so far had been helpful. She chanced a glance at the female behind Yuki's back. She had changed a lot since they last time they had met, she was no longer the overly cheerful, thoughtless, carefree, wild child she had once been. Maybe Mall wouldn't dislike her as much now. Tartara Yuki of course, never noticed. Her hand might be cold, but in his warm one he was more then content to share the heat. The feline happily watched as HQ's came into view, in better spirits now then he had been in a good bit. She flashed a return glare behind Yuki's back. Teenagers. They'd get even closer if this didn't stop and soon lifetime pals and....she stifled a rising growl. [chainedfaye] At Mall's glare, Sylve frowned and turned her eyes away. Things were not off to a good start. Something was building though she knew not what. Since she had become a ghost she was more sensitive to others emotions and the hatred rolling off of Mall was colliding with the happiness rolling off of Yuki. She sighed silently again. As long as her being around made Yuki happy she would brave Mall. She squeezed Yuki's hand lightly, and smiled for his sake. His happiness is what mattered most. Tartara He smiled back at Sylve, midnight hair long since plastered down to his face. In many ways he was Malloren's complete opposite, sweet tender side balancing out Malloren's malicious tendencies. He though, never notice, thinking they were very similar. He saw what the true mall was like, the one that had barreled into him crying from right to lean on him for support. Yuki turned his sights forwards, seeing the big building come into view. Finally. As Sylve looked away, she kept watching for a few more moments until finally looking at the approaching building. She loved Yuki more then she hated Sylve, so would suffer through the day. His happiness is what mattered most. [chainedfaye] Finally! Sylve thought as HQ appeared through the trees. She was completely soaked through and had started shivering. It really didn't take that much to make her feel like she had been encased in ice and frozen when she was already so cold most of the time. She briefly wondered how it was that she was still able to feel things like the cold. So much didn't make sense anymore to her. The ghost pae picked up her pace, eager to get inside the warmth of the building and get dried off. She wondered if she could still get sick.... Tartara He let go of their hands long enough to run up ahead and open the big doors for the two females. "Ladies first" Yuki lightly laughed she spared him a smile before darting past Sylve into the warm house, dripping wet. "I despise water..." [chainedfaye] Sylve bowed her head and smiled at him as she entered, heading straight to the main room. She paused as she entered it...this is where they had all met that very first time. "I'll build a fire" she said softly, as she moved to the fireplace, placing chunks of wood into the hollowed out area and lighting them with a match. Before long the warm of the flames spread across the room. Tartara "I'll be right back." He shook himself slightly before walking towards the kitchen. "Talk! I'll only be a few minutes" he called over his shoulder Talk? He had to be kidding. She walked over to the fire and sat down to start attempting at drying herself off. [chainedfaye] Talk? She raised an eyebrow? What exactly where they supposed to talk about? When Mall sat down next to her, she realized exactly how wet they both were...a puddle had formed around herself and a small one was starting to form next to Mall. She rose silently and disappeared for a few moments before returning with several towels, one for each of them. She passed one to Mall without a word, and used hers to squeeze the water out of her hair. Sylve made sure that Yuki's towel was placed close to the fire to warm it up, but far enough away from the two of them so it would stay dry. She didn't even bother to attempt any conversation with the female feline. Tartara She glanced at Sylve irritably, but took the offered towel and started to dry off her body. Stuck alone with the pae she disliked most. Of course. Malloren stared into the fire, wishing Yuki would hurry as if by sheer will she could make him come back. She glanced behind her before looking at Sylve, plopping the towel on top of her head for lack of better place to put it. "Why do you insist on being Yuki's friend Sylvestanya? Isn't it obvious that I don't like you?" Mall spoke quietly, bright yellow eyes glowing in the firelight [chainedfaye] Sylve thought for a bit before responding quietly. "Yes, though I'm not quite sure why. And I do wish we were better friends. But evidently me being around makes Yuki happy. And I care about him and want him to be happy. Him being happy to me is more important to me than your dislike of me, I would do anything to make him happy. And though you don't like it, being around him makes me happy too. That's why we're friends." Her eyes drifted downwards, afraid of the response her words would bring from the girl. She didn't understand why she wanted acceptance, only that she didn't want to keep getting into conflicts with her. Tartara Same exact position she was in. She tolerated Sylve because she made him happy, for reasons she had yet to find out. Malloren pulled her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around her knees and staring back into the fire. "He has that effect doesn't he. To be fair, I don't know why exactly I dislike you. You're inadequate to him, you don't deserve someone as pure as him as a friend. And when you finally let him down he'll take it to heart." But she didn't knowwhy Sylve was inadequate, why didn't she deserve him. The only answer she could come up with was...she was no Yuki. "How many marshmallows do you want?!" Her delicate ears picked up the faint call from down the hall and she tilted her head up to respond "He's asking how many marshmallows do you want in your hot coco, if you didn't hear." She spoke before continuing in a louder voice "Two!" [chainedfaye] "Same!!" Sylve called out hoping it was loud enough for him to hear. She didn't like loudness anymore, just peace and quiet. The ghost girl took another moment before replying. "That may be true Malloren, I may not deserve the friendship of Yuki, but isn't he old enough to decide that for himself?" She paused again before continuing, holding her hands out to the fire for more warmth, the chill just wouldn't seem to leave her body, "And while I can't promise I won't cause him some hurt eventually," she had already learned that the hard way, "I would never do something intentionally knowing that it would hurt him. I care too much for him to do that." Tartara "He's too sweet to turn down the friendship of anyone." She spoke with a grimace. "I know about his nails, about how you didn't think about the grip of claws on tile. Hurt him again, and I'll find out about it and I'll make sure it doesn't happen a third time." Malloren's voice was low, eyes always on the fire. She was protective, he was her only friend, the only one that understood her. And she'd rather be torn apart by rabid dogs then see little miss see-through destroy him. And at that moment, Yuki came in, smiling without a clue of his sisters threat. In his hands were three mugs, two in one hand of course and one in the other. But he would have to be an idiot not to feel the tension in the room. "Did...you two have a nice chat?" He spoke worriedly [chainedfaye] Sylve almost laughed. What exactly could the girl do to her? She was dead after all. The thought was ridiculous. It still angered her though that she thought being his sister gave her the right to control his life. She wondered if Mall realized chasing her out of Yuki's life would probably hurt him much more than her accidentally hurting him. And how could she have been expected to know about the claw problem, it's not like she claws of her own!?
Sylve smiled politely and took the steaming mug of coco from him, handing him the towel. "Yuki, you should have come and dried off first, what if you catch a cold?" She didn't answer his question, Mall had started the conversation, she could account for it. Tartara In her mind, she was all Yuki had in the end and it was her duty to protect him. Despite his odd power, he was too easily taken advantage of, too sweet to stand up for himself. "It was...different." Malloren took her cup from the male. He smiled boyishly at Sylve. "But...then it would take even longer to give you two hot coco. I'd rather get a cold then let you guys catch one." He sat down right in between the ghost and his sister, setting down the remaining cup and plopping the towel on top of his head in similar fashion to Malloren. "and colds aren't so bad. Mom makes me some chicken noodle and herb soup!" He grinned [chainedfaye] Sylve shook her head, wishing he would think about himself for once instead of others. The ghost pae just held her cup of coco for a moment, letting its warmth seep out into her hands. She was dry for the most part, though still somewhat chilled. But that was normal now it seemed, no matter how long she sat at the fire or under the sun the heat never fully penetrated through her and she remained cold. The ghost pae finally took a sip of the warm liquid, relishing the taste as it slid down her throat. She was surprised that it tasted so well, she had no idea the male could cook. "Mmmm, Yuki this is delicious!" she exclaimed, her eyes simmering with delight. Tartara She nodded, taking a sip. "I make the best hot chocolate though. Still, pretty good. Just easy on the chocolate next time Yuki." He blinked and nodded "Sorry Mall, I was trying to balance out the marshmallow a bit..." The feline shook his head, feeling his face warm but not just because of the fire. "Thanks Sylve. I like cooking. Even though Malloren is still better then me in most of the things I attempt." [chainedfaye] Sylve choked on her hot chocolate. Malloren? Good at cooking? Her eyes swung over to the female. Well wasn't she full of surprises. Sylve wondered what else she had up her sleeves...err...paws. "Well, it's much better than Sally makes. And since I've never had the pleasure of tasting Mall's, I'd have to say it the best I've had. Maybe next time you should make the hot chocolate Mall" she suggested innocently, her eyes twinkling. Tartara sweatdrop He took a sip of his own hot coco, having just a single marshmallow inside. Perfect for him, but he had forgotten about Mmalloren's preference. "Mall...doesn't really like to cook." "Understatement. I'd rather choke on a hairball." It was a bit ironic. The one that could cook best didn't like to do so while the one that did like to cook couldn't do it as well. She took another sip. Though he wasn't too bad. [chainedfaye] "Oh." Somehow that made more sense with the image that she had of Malloren. She continued sipping her coco. "I've never really cooked anything before. Sally's kinda the motherly type. When I was a toddler I burned myself really badly and since then she doesn't like to let me too close to the fire." She paused before adding "Maybe you could teach me one day." Tartara "Oh I don't think that-" "Sure!" He looked at Malloren, surprise in his eyes. Yuki knew that Mall disliked new pae, but why would she hate Sylve so much? Had something happened between them while he was making hot coco? "...I can." She finished, trying to erase the hurt look on Yuki's face. Getting rid of Sylve wasn't going to be very easy, was it? "I'm not a good teacher. But I can oversee Yuki as he shows you." [chainedfaye] Sylve's eyes narrowed a bit, certain that wasn't what Malloren was going to say. Her response had been out of character for her - why would the teen offer to oversee her learning when she wanted the ghost out of the way so badly. The only reason Sylve could think of was that so she could be around to supervise her with Yuki and take every stab at her that she possibly good to make her look like an idiot in front of her brother. Typical Mall. Sylve wasn't quite as interested in cooking if it meant being belittled by the female constantly. "Umm thanks." Tartara He brightened, not catching onto the obvious. "Really Mall? Are you sure?" "Yeah." She grumbled before taking a long pull on her coco. "Can't have Sylve catching herself on fire, can I?" She smiled sweetly at the ghost. [chainedfaye] Has Sylve still been a little girl, she probably would have stuck her tongue out at the girl. As it was she had enough trouble not responding with "Yeah and it's probably a good idea to keep you in the kitchen so you don't get lost again." She bit her tongue and held it in though. She wasn't going to swoop down to the feline's level. She knew Yuki wouldn't like it for her to make fun of her sister. Instead she replied "Awww why thank you Mall. That's so sweet. I didn't know you cared about my wellbeing! " She turned to Yuki, smiling sweetly as well. "Isn't she sweet Yuki! Here I was thinking she didn't like me, but she really does! I never would have imagined!" She dabbed at an imaginary tear in the corner of her eye with her towel.
Why did it feel like she was in some sort of competition? This wasn't like her at all! Tartara He lightly smiled back, completely missing the biting barrage between them. Sometimes, Yuki was just too innocent to notice the bad things in the world. Like insults. "Why, of course Sylve." She spoke, voice almost a purr and dripping of fake sweetness. "You are almost like beloved pet to me." [chainedfaye] Unbidden the memory of the fairy at the Healing House emerged in her mind at Sylve's pet comment. Unable to stop herself she started giggling, with a look at Yuki and a blush spread over her cheeks. Tartara Beloved pet? He blinked and caught sylves giggle and look at him, but it was the blush that made things click. He deeply blushed, quickly looking into the fire. "Mall? I...think it's the other way around." He murmered, thinking about how the fairy thought HE was a pet. Thats what they get for looking cat-like and wearing belled collars of all things. She frowned, confused. "Huh? What are you talking about?" [chainedfaye] Sylve's giggling tapered off at Yuki's blush. She hadn't meant to embarrass him! She reached out with a kind smile to squeeze Yuki's hand affectionately. She wasn't going to let Mall tease him about this, it would be their little secret. She quickly made something else up to tell the female. "Oh its just a little story I told Yuki that time we were out looking for you. Something Alaera told me about some ancient civilization that had cats as pets and worshiped them thinking they were the messengers of the gods." That ought to appeal to Mall's sense of superiority. She discreetly winked at Yuki, hoping he would catch on. Tartara Yuki glanced at her, squeezing her hand back with a slow grateful smile. He didn't understand so much the reason as he did the thought of it, which was good enough for him. "Kind of makes you feel bigger then you are, doesn't it mall?" "I see..." She smiled, a genuine one this time. "I think I would have liked to live in that period. All three of us." Sylve worshiping her...that was a thought. [chainedfaye] The smiled never left Sylve's face, though she could have sighed in relief that Yuki caught on and Mall fell for the tale. But then Sylve knew she would, the female would have loved to be worshiped and her comment only proved it. Sylve could almost she what was going on in her mind through her eyes. Still she played along. "Yeah, even black cats. Back then they didn't think black cats were bad luck, not like they do today. " Tartara "So still superstitious, but only in a different sort." He added, still smiling. Yuki didn't think he would like it in that time period, even though Malloren would love it. He couldn't stand being worshiped. "And I bet that black cats were the most beloved, considering we are the most disregarded today." She commented idly, thinking about it now. The female glanced at them and narrowed her eyes slightly. She reached out and took both of Yuki's hands, severing the contact between the male and Sylve. "Wouldn't that be great Yuki?" The female spoke in all excited innocence, not daring even a triumphant smirk at Sylve. [chainedfaye] Sylve easily released his hand, surprised his sister had let her hold it that long. The girl acted like she was infected with something when it came to her brother. Sylve added on to the story quietly, almost as if talking to herself. "Yes, but I think I forgot to mention that they killed the cats and mummified them so they could be buried with their owner when they died. I think it would be just a terrible time to live in. " She shook her head sadly. Tartara eek "killed cats?" He blinked at Malloren, shocked and a bit horrified. "Ew...Thats just sick." Her face scrunched up. [chainedfaye] "Yeah. Kinda like a sacrifice. I dunno about you Malloren, but I wouldn't like to be a sacrifice. Dying really hurts." she added softly and an expression of grief clouded her face for a moment until she realized what exactly she had said. She quickly covered it up with a smile, hoping no one noticed it. Tartara "Not if done right." Malloren murmered stubbornly, not looking at Sylve. Yuki noticed it though, and looked at the ghost sadly. "...Don't fake smile Sylve...it hurts." The feline spoke softly, wondering if even Malloren heard it with his head turned away from her. [chainedfaye] Sylve startled, a bit surprised that she had been caught and the words he said to her. She didn't know how to respond so she just silently nodded and stared at the floor. Tartara Malloren looked from Yuki to Sylve to Yuki to back to Sylve, puzzled. "Did I...miss something?" He blinked, looking at his sister. The male smiled "Don't worry about it mall, its alright." He took a sip of hot coco. "Oh no...Mom. We forgot to tell her that we weren't going after all to Raken's...Mall, would you..." She looked at him skeptically. "Why me?" "I guess I should...it'll give you and Sylve more time to talk." He nodded and started to moving in the intention of getting up. "...point taken. I'll be back soon." She stood up before him and walked in the direction out of the lounge. [chainedfaye] Sylve smiled and let out a small giggle. Once again, he just proved that he wasn't quite as helpless as Malloren would like to believe. Or maybe Malloren just wanted him to think that so she could feel better about herself. That was a new thought. She shook it out of her head as she watched the girl leave. What did it matter anyway? Her eyes shifted back to Yuki, still uncertain as to what to say. Tartara She glanced behind her once before disappearing into the hallway, not too happy about leaving them alone. Yuki curled up by the fire, resting his head on his crossed arms. "...Are you okay Sylve?" He was blind to insults and outright scorn, but highly intuned to feelings. He felt the tension in the air leave the room as Malloren did, and felt a certain sadness draped around Sylve's shoulders like a mournful cape. [chainedfaye] Sylve flushed a bit before nodding ferociously. "Yeah of course! Just been thinking a lot lately" She hesitated uncertain about how much she should tell him. Would he not like her anymore? Would he be scared of her now? She wanted to think he wouldn't, she hope he wouldn't but that little voice in the back of her head was screaming at her not to. She shoved it back even further. "I found out a bit about where I came from and it's not quite that pleasant. " She looked into his eyes to gauge his reaction. Tartara He glanced up at her, emerald eyes clear and innocent, not hiding any emotion. The feline only cared about his friends, so naturally, only was worried. "What do you mean?" [chainedfaye] Sylve sighed. She had rehearsed this so often in her head, but words failed her now at the actual telling. "Well" she started a bit reluctantly "I found out my mother was from the spirit realm. And when I was born, she brought me here, but died. And since part of me was from the spirit realm too, when I turned of age, I died too. "
"I used to just look like a ghost. And now I really am one. See?" she brushed her hand up to his cheek, pressing the coldness of her flesh against the warmth of his. Tartara "Thats why?" He smiled, reaching up and covering the cold hand on his cheek with his own. "Don't be sad then Sylve...you can't help it." The hand was chilly to say in the least, but he didn't really care. [chainedfaye] Sylve's gaze lifted to meet his, still uncertain. Could he really still want to be friends? "Really? You're not bothered that I'm dead?" she spoke softly, hesitantly. Has she really spent all this time over nothing? Would others feel the same as Yuki did? She suddenly felt a little silly..yeah she had died...but nothing really had changed had it? Well she was a bit more cold than usually but it wasn't like she was a block of ice...was it? Tartara He shook his head slightly. "Are you bothered that I am a three and a half foot feline who occasionally likes the taste of grass?" He warmed slightly. Grass was pretty good once you got used to it. "You're still Sylve...thats what matters to me." [chainedfaye] Sylve couldn't help but break into a smile and giggle a bit at that. " Nope, I like you just the way you are Yuki especially the purring." She resisted the urge to rub behind his ear. "'Cept that whole think-you're-a-monster-thing." She reached out and hugged him. "No monster could be as good a friend as you. Thank you."
When she finally pulled back she giggled again "You know that whole grass thing could be the cause of your cooking troubles" she joked.
Tartara He gently hugged her back, smiling. "Really? Mom likes it too, I don't understand it." Yuki let a bit of a purr form deep in his throat, just for her. And just because she thought he wasn't the monster he was. "How would grass change the way I cook?" The feline spoke softly, tilting his head with those purr-threaded words. "Yuki?" Malloren frowned, sharp ears picking up her brothers distinct warm purr. Immediately she glared daggers at Sylve. What had she done? [chainedfaye] Sylve broke out into a huge grin, giggling as she listened to him purr. "I dunno why I like it to so much either" she admitted. "It just seems comforting. Reassuring I guess. And, well if you like grass, your taste buds may be off." She playfully rocked into him gently, bumping her shoulder up against his. "Maybe I'll try it someday, if you'll cook it for me."

Tartara He lightly bumped her back, grinning now. "Thanks. But if you were to eat anything I made, I'd have to make sure it was the best of my best meal." Her glowing yellow eyes widened and she marched her way over to the two, taking hold of both their shoulders and pushing them away from one another to scootch down in between. "Mother says alright, but no leaving HQ after it gets really dark." She shrugged helplessly at Sylve with a sigh "Yuki might get lost again." [chainedfaye] Sylve mentally snickered. Wasn't Malloren the one that got lost before? She bit her tongue though and leaned around the girl to talk to Yuki. "I'm sure anything you make would taste absolutely wonderful Yuki, despite what your sister thinks. As long as you made it, I'd love to try it. " Tartara He blushed slightly, whether it was from Malloren or Sylve only he knew. The feline glanced at the ghost behind his sister. "Well are you hungry? We've got all night..." ...all night. She puffed up slightly, firmly shaking her head. "I'm not hungry, besides, you'll leave a big mess to clean up." [chainedfaye] Sylve smirked at the girl. "Well then you can just stay here in front of the warm fireplace then, I'd hate for you to get a cold after being in the rain." She stood up and linked arms with Yuki. "What shall we go make?" the ghost girl questioned, smiling brightly. Tartara He blinked a few times before slowly nodding and rising to his feet. "Uh...spaghetti is really good..." Malloren reached up and took Yuki's free hand, looking up at him with big sorrowful eyes. "You're...not going to leave me all alone are you Yuki?" ..... gonk [chainedfaye] She almost rolled her eyes. Yes, big tough Malloren afraid of being left alone all my her little lonesome self. Sylve offered her other hand out to Mall. "Well, why don't you come along then. You didn't seem interested before. But if you did come we could have all sorts of fun conversation while Yuki and I are cooking!" She beamed with fake excitement. Tartara She lightly growled at Sylve before smiling sweetly at her. "Well you know, just because you SO want my company, I think I will." The female smoothly stood, using Yuki's hand while completely ignoring the ghosts. "are...you...two alright?" sweatdrop The conflict between them made his skin crawl slightly. [chainedfaye] Sylve was tempted to tell Yuki that his sister hated her, but quickly changed her mind. That would only upset him and it wasn't fair. It wasn't his problem Mall didn't like her. And it wasn't Sylve's problem either, she was trying to be nice to the girl since she knew she was important to Yuki. "I think Mall is just worried that we're going to make a big mess and she's the one who's going to have to clean it up. Don't worry I'll make sure the kitchen is spotless when we're done." Tartara He frowned, looking doubtfully at Malloren. Something didn't feel right. She smiled back brightly. "I just don't like unnecessary messes." The feline glanced at Sylve, wondering if she got the jab. [chainedfaye] "Oh I know what you mean" the ghost responded. She wanted to say more but something in the back of her mind warned her that they had gone far enough for now. She turned to look at Yuki and knew her hunch was right, he seemed a bit upset. Sylve hoped that the tension would dissipate between the two if she didn't continue the subtle fight they were having. She slid her arm down to grasp his hand and squeeze it reassuringly.
"Shall we head to the kitchen now?" Tartara "If you say so..." He whispered softly to Malloren, feeling oddly alone in his ignorance. Yuki knew he was missing something, something big, he just didn't know what. The feline glanced at Sylve and lightly blushed, squeezing her hand back. Ah well...he'd worry about it later. It was obvious he was making the ghost concerned about him. So he nodded with a faint smile. "Alright." He looking at Malloren "if I make the noodles, will you help me with the sauce? You know...I never could make it like you." She softly growled at the clutched hands but it was cut off at Yuki's question. The cat opened her mouth irritably, about to say that she'd rather cough up a hairball...but his eyes were just so BIG...so clear. Such a...fluffy sort of innocence. It aggravated her to no end! She closed her mouth. "Fine." Malloren spoke, voice clipped as she walked forwards towards the kitchen, body telling all the signs of frustrated anger. [chainedfaye] Sylve released his hand and followed behind the girl. Better not aggravate her any more if she intended to keep the peace. 'Course that was hard to do when merely being present aggravated the female feline. But Mall would just have to deal with that, being around Yuki made her happy and she thought it made him happy too. So she could just deal. Nothing would chase her away from her friend.
She looked back at Yuki. "Coming?" Tartara His tail flicked and he nodded, quickly picking up the pace to fall beside Sylve. "I think Mall's mad at me now." He quietly murmered, wincing slightly. "Am not!" Malloren angrily called over her shoulder, sensitive ears picking up even that soft whisper. She shook her head, making the little bell jingle. She was just mad at the situation. [chainedfaye] Sylve didn't know how to respond and so she said nothing, instead shooting an apologetic look at her friend and shrugging. She wondered briefly if her presence was wroth the trouble, it seemed to be splitting apart the two siblings, something she certainly didn't want.
Or did she?
Her eyes widened at this thought. It certainly would be a lot easier for them to play together if Mall wasn't around, but she didn't think Yuki would think so. She was just being selfish.
Just like Mall.
She pushed these thoughts into a corner of her mind, recognizing the need to throughly sort through them later. For now she was just content to be around her friend.
She squeezed his hand again lightly as they entered the kitchen before slipping hers away from his. Tartara Yuki was silent then until they reached the kitchen, going to the cabinets and pulling out two pots, two forks, a big package of noodles and some tomato sauce. Only when he held the box of noodles did he blink over at Sylve, a light smile on his face. "Um...how do you like your noodles done?" Rolling her eyes, she took a pot and the tomato sauce from Yuki, going to the stove and putting it on. She dumped a good bit inside the pot and then started digging through the cabinets for spices. [chainedfaye] Sylve blinked back at him. How did she like her noodles done? She had no idea. "I dunno. I've never had spaghetti before. Sally usually makes stuff with vegetables from her garden. Lots and lots of vegetables." She grimaced slightly. That didn't always taste so very well together. Tartara "Never had spaghetti before?" He brightened "That just means I'll have to make sure its done right!" He nodded, moving to the sink and filling it with water before moving to the stove and putting it on a free burner. Turning up the heat, he set the box down beside it for the water to boil. Setting the array of spices on the counter, Malloren now looked into the refrigerator and pulled out three fresh tomatoes to move towards the chopping board. "Careful Yuki about cardboard near fire." "I know Malloren, its about three inches away." "Alright, just keep an eye on how high the flame is then." [chainedfaye] Sylve watched the two of them, smiling slightly at seeing how caring Mall really was of her brother, though it came off as overprotective and hostile. But she didn't like just sitting there doing nothing to help and so she moved closer to ask "Is there anything I can do. Maybe get the dishes out if you will tell me where they are at?" Tartara "Okay." He nodded, indeed watching the flame. "Really? Um...the plates are actually in the cabinet right by your head." "Get three glasses too, I think I saw some sparkling apple cider in the fridge." Malloren called over, getting out a knife as she fell more into a professional mood then her dutiful sister one as she diced the tomatoes. [chainedfaye] Sylve grinned happily, eager that she could help. Rushing to the cabinet she pulled out three large plates, carefully laying them on the table before going back for the glasses and finally some silverware. She organized them all nicely around the table, proud of her handiwork. When she was done she came up behind Yuki's arm, looking over his shoulder to watch him as he cooked. "Well that's done. Anything else I can do to help?" Tartara Water boiling, he now opened the bock of noodles and started to break them in half into the pot. He lightly blushed as Sylve peeked over his shoulder. "Mmm...napkins and forks?" Malloren scraped her chopped up tomatoes into the almost-boiling sauce before getting out a wooden spoon and stirring it in. Then...came the spices. Which is what made her sauce better then Yuki's, she knew just the right amount without measuring. [chainedfaye] "I've already got the forks out" the ghost teen said as her eyes cast about kitchen searching for the napkins. Finally spotting the stack on a nearby counter, she went to retrieve them, laying one out next to each plate before leaving the rest of the stack in the middle of the table. The kitchen was starting to smell heavenly and her nose lead her back over to the stove, this time to Malloren's side. She wanted to watch the girl closely to see what she was adding but didn't want to get in her way, so she stood off to the side, leaning against a counter, taking everything in.
She debated with herself for a bit before softly saying "That smells really good Mall. " Tartara "Oops" He blushed a touch harder, getting out a fork and stirring the cooking noodles. She paused slightly, a thing of Old bay in her hand. Slowly she resumed shaking it in. "...Thanks. I've put a lot of experimentation into the spices." [chainedfaye] Sylve nodded politely, her mouth almost watering. Her eyes kept bouncing back and forth between the two pots and their chefs, hoping that it would be done before much longer. Her stomach rumbled in agreement, and a blush flooded her face in embarrassment as she clamped her hands over her stomach, hoping to muffle its sounds of hunger. She felt like a little kid, about to get to taste a brand new flavor of ice cream.
"Is it almost done?" she asked casually. "I mean so I can get the apple cider out and poured. When it's ready that is." Tartara "Not quite." He gave Sylve a small sweet smile before stirring out a single noodle. He ate it thoughtfully before nodding. "Not quite." Malloren stirred it smoothly, making sure it didn't burn or stick. Smoothly she took the wooden spoon out, a hand under it. "See if this tastes alright." She murmered to the ghost, not looking at her. [chainedfaye] Sylve blinked back her surprise at the female feline's request. Who was she, and what had she done with Malloren? Nevertheless, she stepped forward to taste the sauce on the spoon. As soon as it reached her tongue, her taste buds danced with delight. Finally something good to eat! The spices were balanced just right with the sweetness of the tomatoes. Why it was almost heavenly!
"Mmmm. Oh my goodness Mall, that's marvelous! You are an amazing cook! I bet Yuki's just as good, though I can see where he gets it from." Tartara "Isn't she?" He whole heartedly agreed, hoping that one day he'd be just as good. The male fished out another noodled and this time nodding in satisfaction, pulled out a strainer. "Butter or no?" "I just wanted to make sure you liked it. Pae have different tastes." She snapped, embarrassed from the praise. She hated to cook, despite how well she was in the kitchen. Malloren put the wooden spoon back into the sauce, glancing at Yuki "No butter. Remember, yes for your sauce, no for mine." [chainedfaye] Sylve smiled again as the girl turned her back to the ghost. She was quite excited with the food being almost ready, it felt like she was going to a gourmet feast as the vegetable broth and soups she grew up on. No wonder she was a ghost! She lightly laughed as she headed toward the fridge to get the cider out. As she was pouring it into the glasses she continued "Well, it is really good. It's a shame you don't like to cook. You could like open a restaurant and become famous - I bet pae would come from far and wide to eat there. Or a cooking school. You've done so well with Yuki and a lot of pae don't know how to cook either. I don't. I've love to learn though.
If you don't mind me asking, how come you don't like to cook?" she asked. Her interest had suddenly peaked in the girl after seeing a new side of her. Tartara "I see, I see." He poured the noodles into the strainer and began to bounce it lightly, shaking the water free. "Malloren don't like to cook because..." "I just don't like it." She shrugged, turning off the burner. "Some pae love sports, others hate it. Some pae love to cook, I hate it. It all has to do with interests and your tastes." [chainedfaye] Sylve nodded. She most certainly didn't like gardening, though Sally was in love with it. 'Course she also wasn't that good at it. More often then not she'd accidentally pull a new budding plant than a weed. "True. But it seems like such a shame to have such an amazing talent go unused. I appreciate you cooking for us though Mall. I really do." Tartara He nodded and poured the noodles back into the pot. Yuki couldn't wait to taste Malloren's special sauce! "It just makes it even more special." She grumbled, picking up her pot and smoothly pouring it on top of the noodles. "And don't mention it." The feline focused her eyes on Sylve, yellow orbs almost glowing. "Ever." [chainedfaye] Sylve bounced around the kitchen excitedly, not sure what to do with herself. It seemed silly to be so excited over a simple meal but you just had to taste Sally's cooking to understand. She was having trouble figuring out why Mall didn't want anyone to know about her talent but figured it had something to do with the idea that her in an apron cooking didn't really go well with the tough girl reputation she had built for herself. "Ok" she replied, adding "though I still hope you will be willing to help Yuki teach me how to cook." Tartara He stirred the spaghetti and sauce with Malloren's wooden spoon, mixing it in until it was blended together perfectly. The smell made his own stomach rumble hungrily. "I told Yuki I would...so I am." She shook her head, moving to the fridge and pulling out a block of cheese. She picked up a grater and started to grate it away to fine little shreds. [chainedfaye] Sylve couldn't believe the change that had come over Mall since she had started cooking. She was still herself of course but she seemed...almost peaceful. And certainly less hostile, though Sylve didn't know if that was because she was trying to get along for her brothers sake. Better enjoy it while it lasted though. "That's great! I can't wait to get started!" Tartara Yuki fished out a big claw like spoon and moved over to the table. He started to dish out the spaghetti, only a bit so they could come back for more later, but still a good amount. Malloren was close behind with a bowl of her shredded cheese, delicately sprinkling it over the pasta. Music soothed the savage beast they said...it was almost true for mall with cooking even though she hated it. [chainedfaye] Sylve stood by idly, not knowing what to do with herself again. Finally she just took a seat, thanking both of them as they came around and filled her plate.
"This looks so great you guys! I feel like I'm eating my first real food ever! I can't wait to taste it." Tartara He patiently waited until malloren sat down before taking his own seat, flashing the two females a smile. "Thanks...both of you." Yuki didn't mention why he was thanking sylve too, just bent his head down to the spaghetti, spinning some on a fork. "Thank you Yuki." She nodded, glancing once at the ghost before picking up her own fork. [chainedfaye] Sylve smiled at both of them, eagerly picking up her own fork and digging in. The food was as delicious as it smelled and she resisted the urge to shovel more in her mouth, instead slowly savoring the taste as it filled her sense.
"This is the best meal I've ever had you guys" she exclaimed before gathering another forkful. Tartara Malloren took a bite, nodding to herself thoughtfully and swallowing. "Perfect texture to the noodles Yuki. Balances out well." Just like a teacher, she complimented her student where he did good. Reddening from the praise, Yuki nodded and took his first bite. It really was good. Much better then what he could have done alone. He washed it down with some sparkling apple cider, hungry but used to Malloren's excellent cooking. [chainedfaye] When Sylve had finished her plate, the ghost girl got up, put the plate in the sink to be cleaned later and started to rummage around the cupboards. She wanted to make them something too, to thank them for the succulent meal. Dessert she thought. But what? The only thing she had ever made was well...s'mores. She shrugged. Well, it wouldn't be gourmet food but oh well. Somehow she managed to the graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, along with some long metal sticks. Turning back to the pair, she asked, "You guys wanna go make some s'mores. That's what Sally and I always used to do when it was raining, we'd pretend we were really out camping in the forest and..." She trailed off lamely suddenly feeling rather embarrassed. Tartara Malloren was a bit slower, taking her finished plate and set it down. She picked up a napkin and dabbed her mouth with it. Soon after Yuki finished, taking the last plate to the sink, turning on the water and starting on dishes. He stopped though as Sylve talked, turning his head to mall to stare at her blankly. They turned as one to Sylve. "What are smores?" [chainedfaye] Sylve stared back at them in surprise. They didn't know what s'mores were? They had no idea what they were missing!!
"Well, you take a marshmallow and put it on a long stick and then hold it over a fire until it gets nice and gooey. Or burnt, that's how Sally likes it. And then you take and put it on a graham cracker that has a bit of chocolate bar on it, and the hot marshmallow melts the chocolate, and then you put another graham cracker on top and eat it. It's really good. "
Tartara BIC: "That sounds...nauseating." Malloren spoke finally, a disgusted look on her face. "Like a sugar overload." "I don't know..." Yuki smiled brightly at Malloren and Sylve, still having that boyish charm from when a child. "I think it sounds interesting, like...a big dessert sandwich."[chainedfaye] Her face faltered even more hearing Mall's words. They weren't that sugary. But then Yuki came to her rescue and she beamed happily at him. He was at least willing to try it before shooting it down. "Yeah that's kinda basically what it is. And it you don't want to try the whole thing Mall you can just have the roasted marshmallow. Or the chocolate. Or the graham crackers" she went on trying to placate everyone in the room. Mall couldn't hate all three of those things could she? Tartara "It still sounds disgusting." She murmered, shaking her head. "But since Yuki wants to try it...fine. I'll go nibble on some graham crackers." He grinned at Malloren in thanks, tail swishing happily. "I don't think I've even had a roasted marshmallow before." [chainedfaye] "It's good. Trust me you'll see." Sylve led the way out of the kitchen, her arms fulls of the ingredients, back into the room they had come from. Luckily, the fire was still roaring nicely. Plopping down in front of it the ghost ripped open the bag of marshmallows to put one on her stick and placed it over the blaze. Tartara True to her word, Malloren sat on down and started to eat a graham cracker, watching Sylve skeptically. Let her and Yuki go into a sugar coma, she'd stick with the crackers. Following the ghosts lead, he stuck a marshmallow onto a stick and held it out over the fire. [chainedfaye] Sylve let her hang over the fire until it was just starting to get nice and gooey. Slipping it off her metal stick, she squished it down on top of the waiting bar of chocolate and a graham cracker top, before taking a big bite. "Mmmm" she sighed. "Delicious." She failed to notice a bit of chocolate, melted from the heat of the marshmallow had gotten on her nose.
Tartara Following her lead he pulled his marshmallow back putting it on top of a bar of chocolate and a graham cracker. But before taking a bite, he reached out with a finger and whipped the chocolate off of her nose. He licked it off idly. "Mmm." Malloren puffed up a bit at the display, very much displeased. She quickly devoured some more crackers. [chainedfaye] Sylve's face grew beet red in embarrassment and hastily shoved another bite of the s'more into her mouth, before mumbling a "Thanks" through the gooey mass. Tartara He looked back and forth between the two females confusedly. Had...he done something wrong? Yuki blinked before taking a small bite. Instantly he brightened. "This is good!" "If you die Yuki from that, don't come crying to me." She grumbled, glaring at Sylve as if it was all her fault. [chainedfaye] Sylve rolled her eyes. "Oh please! No ones ever died from sugar." She turned to Yuki and flashed him a grin. "I'm glad you like it. We always used to make these over the fire and make up stories." Tartara "Stories? Like...fairy tales?" He nibbled on the s'more, softly purring. "Thats what you think." She spoke with a flick of her tail and a small sniff. "And I think she means more like daily gossip." [chainedfaye] Sylve bristled. "I have better things to do than gossip Malloren." She flushed slightly, "And no not fairy tales...more like well scary ghost stories. But I guess it's a bit hard to be scared of a ghost when you are sitting next to one, so we just made up other stuff." Tartara "I see..." Yuki whispered, finishing off the little desert thing. "Wouldn't be too hard to picture you doing it." She smiled sweetly at Sylve before looking at her brother. "Don't worry about it too much Yuki...I don't think you could really make a scary story." [chainedfaye] Sylve had to physically bite her tongue to keep from responding snappily. Gritting her teeth together, she took a deep breathe to release the tension building up inside of her. "It doesn't have to be scary. Its just the fun of telling a story around the campfire...or well, fireplace anyway. Especially if everyone takes turns telling the story. It can be really funny then. " Tartara His ears flicked slightly, wincing. It probably was true. His scary story would probably consist of someone finding a red sock in their white laundry turning everything a horrific pink. "Can we-" "I want to hear a story. From Sylve. Something creepily sad to make me want to hide behind a couch in tears." She looked at the ghost skeptically. "Think you can do it?" [chainedfaye] "I don't want to tell a story like that." Sylve responded. And in truth she didn't, it had been too nice a night, even with Mall's continued aggressions, to get her into the right mood for a sad scary story. "But why don't you tell us one Mall. I'm sure you'd be able to do a much better job than I would." Tartara He shook his head, falling into a silence after his sister cut him off again. She liked doing that with Sylve around, he wondered why... Yuki started to make another s'more. "Of course you don't, because you don't know how." Malloren picked up another graham cracker. "And story telling is too childish for me." [chainedfaye] Sylve's anger finally boiled over. She had tried to be nice but she was tired of being belittled by this arrogant little priss of a feline. She rose and faced her. "Fine Mall. How about a story of a tough little girl who gets lost and separated from her brother while in the forest and ends up crying she's so scared of being alone. " Sylve stopped. That was it wasn't it? Malloren just didn't want to be alone and as long as she had Yuki around she wouldn't be. She was using him for her own selfish needs! Sylve's mouth was agape and she shook her head slowly, sadly.
"Mall do you honestly think Yuki would ever leave you? He's your brother and he loves you dearly. Put some faith in him." With that she walked out the door to sit outside in the rain. Tartara "Sylve!" He yelled out, dropping his s'more. He scurried onto his feet to follow her out. Malloren quickly reached up and grabbed her brother by the wrist. "Don't Yuki...please...just stay here with me...please..." He looked at her for a moment before yanking his wrist free. "I don't get this. I don't get this at all Mall! Sylve accusing you, you making fun of her...I don't get it!" Yuki turned and walked away. But instead of walking outside towards Sylve, he moved to his room, shutting the door firmly behind him. [chainedfaye] Sylve sat outside for several moments longer before she picked herself up and returned inside. To her dismay, Yuki was no longer there. She turned to Mall "What happened? Where's Yuki?" Without waiting for an answer she started to head down the hall to look for him but paused to add "Yuki and I are friends Mall. And that's not going to change. So get used to it 'cause the only thing that is being accomplished by our bickering is him getting hurt. " With that she continued down the hall calling out "Yuki? " as she walked along.
She stopped in front of a door when she thought she heard the slight tinkling of a bell. "Yuki?" She leaned up against the wall next to the door and slide down it until she was sitting on the floor. "I'm sorry Yuki. You sister hit a sore spot with the ghost stories and well I over reacted. I've tried being nice to her but she doesn't like me for some reason and doesn't want us to be friends. But I want to be friends with you, I like you. You...you want to be friends with me too right? 'Cause I mean if you don't I'll just go away and stop bothering you. " She paused a moment before she continued, tears of uncertainty starting to fill her eyes.
"Well, I'll just go now. I'm sorry I upset you. Thank you for the wonderful night and rescuing me from the rain. Goodnight. " She rose and slowly started to walk away. She really didn't want to leave before seeing him again, if only she could really explain to him how much he meant to her. He was her only friend after all. Well at least he used to be. Sylve wasn't sure he still wanted to be her friend though. Her confidence had been shattered since she died and he had helped to build it back up tonight, but the thought of him being mad at her devastated her. That was the last thing in the world she would ever want.

Tartara For a long time Malloren stared hurtly down at the hand he had yanked away from, feeling a bitter sense of sadness in her heart. Why would he leave her like that? Yuki never left her when she was upset. She must have really messed up this time. The feline looked up at the ghost as she walked passed with shimmering eyes, holding back the tears she'd never let fall. Unbeknown to Sylve, as she had slid down the wall, he had slid down the door to gently rest his head against it. He quietly listened, but her words only made him sadder. When he was happy they were sad and when he was sad they were still sad! Slowly Yuki stood, tail flickering. He poked his head out of the doorway silently, looking at the females back as she began to walk away. "Sylve..." [chainedfaye] Hearing her name softly called out, Sylve turned and seeing Yuki ran back, flinging her arms around him and hugging him tightly. "Oh Yuki, I'm so sorry, please don't be mad at me or sad. You're my best friend in the whole wide world, and I'd brave anything if it meant I could be your friend!" Tartara eek He rocked back slightly at the force of the hug, but slowly wrapped his arms around her in a tight return hug. His face was bright red now, wondering how he could have suddenly mean so much to the ghost. "You're my best friend too Sylve..." he whispered into her hair quietly. "I could never be mad at you." [chainedfaye] She smiled, a true smile, one that lit up your face and made your features sparkle as relief flooded over her. The thought of being friendless terrified her and made life seem dreary and dull. Pointless almost. What if he had said she wasn't his friend anymore, would she have disappeared? There was that whole 'as long as you are wanted here, you will retain you pae form' thing. Life didn't seem worth clinging to if she and Yuki weren't friends. But did anyone else even want her around? Mall certainly didn't. And speaking of Mal...
She reluctantly pulled away from Yuki. "I'm glad we're still friends Yuki, it means a lot to me. More than you know." She cast a look back down the hall. "But I think I owe your sister an apology." The ghost turned and started to walk back they way she had come. Tartara He blinked and nodded, feeling guilty for snapping himself at his sister. Yuki quickly followed Sylve down the hall towards the lounge, little bell tinkling. He froze at the mouth of the hallway, looking at the fire place with a growing sense of dread. Malloren wasn't there. [chainedfaye] Sylve cast her eyes around the room. Where had she gone? They hadn't been gone that long had they? She couldn't be far. "Mall?" she called out uncertainly. Tartara "Malloren?" He moved more into the room, tail going still as he looked around. "I don't know...where she would have gone." Yuki frowned. This was the first time the female had willingly wandered away...Yuki had done bad. [chainedfaye] A pit in Ame's stomach had opened and fear, dread starting pouring in. Where had she gone. Almost running, she hurried to the door of the HQ and opening it looked outside. She couldn't see anything but it was rather hopeless trying to find a black colored pae in the midst of all this rain, the dark of the clouds covering up any light the moon might have given. She returned to Yuki shaking her head. She was rather surprised at herself - for someone she didn't get along with very well she was certainly extraordinarily worried about when they went missing. Perhaps she really did consider Mall her friend. Tartara "She didn't come down the hallway...and we just ate...Maybe...she went to the bathroom?" Somehow, he didn't think so. Malloren climbed up a tree in Loke Nei forest, shivering and wet again. She wanted to think a bit. Yuki was all she had, Vash surely not serious on making a real relationship with her. In this sea of pae, Yuki was all she could cling to, but now he didn't want her to. He wanted Sylve more, she would have to be blind to see how much her brother cared for the ghost. It was more then just friendship. Luminous eyes filling with tears, Malloren curled up and started to cry. [chainedfaye] "Ok well let's search the HQ first. If we can't find her we'll have to go outside and start looking for her. I hate to think she went outside in this weather, it's not fit for anyone to be out there now. And she doesn't like the water either. " Sylve bit her lip worriedly. Tartara "Should we split up?" He spoke in his own worried tone. "Meet back here in twenty?" If Malloren did go outside, she no doubt was miserable, and it would be near impossible to find her after twenty minutes of her walking about. All the more reason to split up and hurry. [chainedfaye] Sylve hesitated. Spitting up would be faster yes, but what if they got separated and lost too? But she gave in with a sigh. "Ok but promise me you won't go outside alone. You take one side of the hall and I'll take the other. " She started down and entered the first room on the right, her eyes carefully sweeping around, searching for every spot that one could hide in. Not having any luck she exited and went into another room and yet another as she made her way down the hall. Tartara He nodded and went to his designated side, poking his head in. The feline did a very odd thing then. He...sang?
"Whats new kitty cat? Whoa, whoa whoa... Whats new kitty cat? Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa." Very softly as he moved down the hallways. Malloren would know its significance, something silly and fun they had done when younger, a sort of comfort thing now. [chainedfaye] Sylve's head turned as the faint sound of Yuki's singing reached her ears. She couldn't make out the words but wondered why he would be singing at a time like this? She was really concerned for Malloren - people had a tendency to do crazy things when they were upset and she had really said some mean things to her. She couldn't help but think this was all her fault, not knowing about what Yuki had said to her as well, and the guilt was overwhelming. She reached the end of the hall, and still no luck. Where could the girl have gone? Tartara "Kitty cat kitty cat I've got flowers and lots of hours to spend with you...Kitty cat kitty I love you, yes I do..." He continued, quieting down at the end of the hallway. Yuki turned and simply started down a new hallway, voice cheerful as he continued the tune, but his tail deathly still to tell of his worry and sadness. [chainedfaye] Sylvestanya turned and when down another hall. Yuki's singing died away behind her as she continued to look, which was getting harder and harder to do without getting distracted. This was only the second time she had been in HQ and hadn't really had a chance to look around before. Some of the rooms she was looking in were filled to the brim with strange and neat looking things. She would have to return one day for a better look, she thought frequently. Right now she had a more important thing to do. At the end of the hall she turned around and made her way back to the entrance hall of HQ, waiting for Yuki to return as well. Tartara Minutes passed and no trace of his sister. Soon he made his own way back to the entrance, looking miserable, tail tucked in between his legs. He walked over to Sylve, not meeting her eyes. "I didn't mean to get so upset...I was just so confused...I didn't mean to make her so sad too." Yuki whispered, ashamed. [chainedfaye] Sylve, sensing his sorrow, reached around and gently pulled Yuki close to her into a hug, rubbing her hand down his back in a soothing manner. This hug was different from all the others she had given him, it was tender and full of emotion. "Shh now" she told him in a soft voice "I don't know what you said to her but this isn't your fault. Sylve and I haven't gotten along since I met you two remember, this was bound to happen sooner or later, if I stayed your friend. And I just couldn't keep away because..." her voice split. "Because...well because I just care for you so much and want to be there to put a smile on your face and to make you laugh. But I never wanted to come between you and your sister, I know how much she means to you and she's an important part of your happiness as well. You have two people who lo... care for you more than anything else. Mall and I just need to learn to get along better. This isn't your fault, so don't blame yourself," She lifted his chin up to look into his eyes. "Ok?" Tartara Yuki looked up at Sylve slowly, listening to every word, and thinking hard on them. Hesitantly he wrapped his arms around her to hug her tightly back, letting his head gently nuzzle hers, eyes closed. "Yeah...I'm just scared for her, you know?" Just like always his voice was soft, the feline always being a gentle male. "...I just don't know what I would do without you sometimes..." But they were a fraction warmer, his arms around her a bit firmer. Sylve and Malloren were his two precious persons, and he deeply lo-cared for both of them. . [chainedfaye] Sylve wasn't entirely sure who to answer that but she could have sworn she felt her heart flutter. A smile crossed her lips for the first time since they realized Mall was gone. Which brought her thoughts back to the present. She "Well, let's hope we both never have to find out what we would do without each other. Friends forever?" Somewhat reluctantly she released her hold on the feline and moved to the closet near the door, pulling out ponchos, rain hats, warm scarves and sweaters. "Here, put these on. I'd rather prefer you would stay here in case she comes back, but I have a feeling you won't agree to that. We'll bring some extra for Mall, she'll be freezing. " Tartara He let his arms fall away from her as he nodded, slipping a big, fuzzy sweater on. Then went on a black scarf, before finally settling on a poncho and rain hat. By the time he was finished, he looked akin to a big, black marshmallow. He almost chuckled, but settled instead for a soft smile. "Friends forever." Yuki held another poncho for Malloren close. [chainedfaye] Sylve pulled on her own sweater and poncho, rolling up an extra sweater and tucking it under her arm. "Ok let's go. Juts promise to stay close. Malloren will never forgive me for losing you in the rain. We'll find her!" She started to head out, then came back. "Wait we need some flashlights...?" She looked at Yuki - the ghost had no idea where they would find some of those here. Tartara He was starting to follow when she came back, all ready to run on out and find his sister. He stopped and blinked at her. "We...need flashlights?" Then it dawned on him. Of course not, she didn't have his and malls eyesight! Yuki's tail flicked and he walked over to the closet, looking around before taking out a single flashlight for Sylve. "Here. I don't need it." [chainedfaye] Sylve giggled, a bit nervously. "Yeah sorry, I guess I forgot cats have night vision. Thanks." She took the flash from him, turning it on to make sure it worked. Reaching out, the ghost girl grasped Yuki's hand tightly. She was desperately afraid they would get separated in the night. "Ok, let's go!" Tartara He softly blushed as she took his hand, hoping she didn't notice as he quickly walked in front of her and walked out of the shop. Yuki closed the door again behind them with a foot, his other hand still holding malls poncho. The feline then stood very still, blinking in the wet darkness until his eyes became adjusted. Night vision was weird, everything suddenly turning black, white, and a odd shade of gray. Very weird. Eyes sharpening, he looked back through the thin curtain of rain ahead of them. He softly sighed. "But where could she be?" [chainedfaye] "Maybe she went back to where you guys were earlier when I stumbled in on you two?" She suggested. Sylve didn't think Mall would go very far with her intense dislike and tendency to get lost but she wasn't entirely sure. The female feline could be anywhere on the island, they could search for days and still not find her - she hoped it didn't come to that. Tartara Yuki blinked. "You think she'd be that predict..." He fell silent, looking towards the forest. If what was said was true, she was afraid of losing him. Probably thought he'd already been lost. She wanted him to find her. Without further comment he began to lead the way towards the forest, his face set in hard determination. This was all his fault...he had to make it better again. [chainedfaye] Yuki seemed to know exactly where he was going, so Sylve followed behind him silently, still grasping onto his hand. Her mind was constantly running over what she would say to Malloren when they found her. She didn't think anything she said would be very effective, or welcome either, but she still had to try. She had to make this right. Tartara In a way, he did know exactly where he was going. Thing was, he had no clue where she would be in the forest. Then the search would commence. He sighed and shivered lightly, wishing that he had thought of bringing Tristen earlier with his x ray vision. They probably would be looking all night just in the forest now. Yuki kept Sylve close, not to thrilled at the thought of becoming separated himself. He never thought about what he would say to Malloren...he just wanted to see her to get the chance to. [chainedfaye] "Mall?" Sylve hesitantly called out. She wasn't sure if her voice could even be heard over the roar of the wind. Hopefully, Mall would hear them and come out and not run away. Tartara As they moved into the forest, he looked around carefully, looking for any signs of his sister. But it was impossible to tell if a few broken twigs from a bush was from her, an animal, another pae or even the wind. He cupped his free hand around his mouth. "MALLOREN!" Yuki cried out into the wind, his call being swept away in its wake. Indeed, the female wasn't too far. Her ears twitched at the name but she only curled up tighter, crying harder. He didn't really care. Yuki was the selfish one, wanting both her and Sylve. Couldn't he be happy just with her? Was she for some reason now, not good enough? She buried her head into her arms, wanting to disappear. [chainedfaye] As Mall's name was pulled away by the wind, despair flooded Sylve's senses. Her mind fumbled with the emotion briefly, trying to understand its origin. As always when she caught these flashes of emotions, she was unsure whether they were hers or not? She was quite concerned yes, but she didn't think that her worry was quite as powerful as what had just overcome her. Looking over at Yuki carefully, she didn't quite feel that same emotion either. Why would he being despairing, they would find her sooner or later and everything would be made right again. Right? So that could only leave...
"Yuki" she said softly, quite unsure of what she had even felt, "I think Mall might be over in this direction." The ghost pointed to the left.

June 10, 2007 Rosie (that's what I decided to name my little blossom) bloomed into a toddler today! She just crawled off into the rose bushes and there was a pale green light and when she came out again, giggling her little head off, she had grown. That child spends most of her time giggling I swear. I wish I knew what she was laughing about. But not knowing doesn't stop the smile from spreading across my face as well. The rose on her swaddling moved up behind her ear, decorating her hair. It is a real rose but somehow in the past week it has not withered or wilted at all. I'm guessing it's probably magical somehow. And she's now got a vine crawling up her right leg, complete with thorns. Every time I try to remove it for fear of her hurting herself on them she screams in protest. They don't seem to be bothering her much anyway. And she's a demon after all! I wonder if a demon will be more difficult to raise than an angel. I suppose it makes sense after all roses have thorns and demons have horns. At least I think they do. Now that I think about it Alaera doesn't....oh well. She loves spending time out in the garden just as much as I do which is a wonderful change. Sometimes small roses seem to sprout up out of the ground around her. She's such a sweet little thing.
