Ryan was beginning to feel uncomfortable. People usually weren't this concerned about him. They usually just tried to avoid loking at him.
"Really, Im fine." He pointed at his face. "This happened about a year ago, so it's not infected, it's just discolored. My ankle will be fine in a few minutes, and my car's not too far awy."

"Well, sorry about making you trip over my chair. I know it probably just about killed you." she said looking at his scars. 'Hmm...that looks like...Oh, it couldn't be...' She thought to herself. Then she ignored it still wondering if he was going to be okay.
((I think I am going to head to bed myself. We will sooo have to continue tomorrow! Bye now! biggrin ))

"You can go if you promise to go to a doctor if that isn't better by tommorow. Or I will find out and I'll find some spare horses to trample you myself."((I'm going to go crash. Continue later))

"No, don't apologise to me, I just wasn't paying attention." Ryan turned back to the other guy, realizing that he hadn't gotten his name yet. He inwardly cringed at the mention of being attacked by animals, but it didn't show outwardly. "If it starts to hurt or swell up, I'll go. But seriously, it's just discolored. It's been like that since it healed."
"So, " he said, turning back to Ann, "what are you going to school here for?"
((Alright, I'll check back tommarow.))

She smiled and said to him, "Well, I am actually majoring in Music. I play the Piano and other things with keys. What about you?"

James sat back and listened as he sipped his coffee. He looked at Ryan then Anne. He wondered if Ryan felt like he did. He didn't like competition anyway and this would make that worse. He hoped he would go soon so James and Anne could get back to their almost date.

"Music, really? That's cool. I played percussion in high school, but I never went any farther than that. Myself? I'm working on a zoology degree, which will hopefully increase my chances of getting a job at another zoo."
Out of the corner of his eye, Ryan saw the other guy glancing between the two of them. Despite what Ann had said, he still felt as though he was interupting something between the two of them. He didn't want to kick him out of the conversation either. "How about you? What's your major?"

James set down his coffee. "I'm a music major right now. I plan on working as a substitute for a local orchestra when I graduate. Posibly composing and other things like that." He looked at his watch making sure to keep track of time so he wouldn't be late for work.

Annelissa looked at James. "Are you going to be late for something?" she asked him concerned. "I sure hope I'm not keeping you." she said.

"Oh no I'm just making sure I won't be late for my shift. I have a good three hours." He picked up his cup again and took a sip. He kept his eyes away from both Anne's and Ryan's faces.

Ryan was starting to get the distinct impression that the other guy didn't want him around. It was just as well, he had places to be himself.
"Well, I'm feeling better now, so I think I'll be going. Thank you both for your concern though." He stood up on one leg, slowly putting weight on his left ankle. It hurt, but as long as he could walk on it, he didn't care.

"But..." was all she could think to say. She looked back at James. "Why didn't he stay? Is it something I said? Or maybe he was just uncomfortable sitting here with both of us." she said. She then sighed and took another sip of her coffee.

James shruged as he took another sip of his coffee. "I would probably say the second one and so he can ice his ankle." James thought just how great this had been going. He had met a nice girl and he might have gotten a girlfriend but now he is stuck in the 'friend zone' for now. ((Sorry for the bad Just Friends referance)) and he looked at the guy walking out. Nice job a** h***

She sipped her coffee some more. "This is really good!" she exclaimed. "I really like it." she said. She looked again at the man walking away. 'Poor guy...I wish I could do somthing...' she thought as she took yet another sip. She smiled at him as he walked away and then turned back toward James. "So, wow...what a dilema." she said wondering what he was thinking.
