There are oxygen masks if you need one, Luna pointed out. I've needed them a few times after coming back from Gaia. She gave Elle's hand a reassuring squeeze.
It's a good thing we're back, anyway. Jokeph needs to be fitted for his cloaking device; we can do that while we're getting your pills. She came to a stop in front of a fairly unimpressive-looking restaurant.
And here we are!

"Oh no, I'm fine." Elle was quite determined to NOT faint. If she fainted, she'd do it when she got back to Gaia and Luna wasn't around to see.
Of course, then she found herself staring blankly up at the ceiling. When did it get up there and her down there?!
Elle had fainted after all.

Within seconds, there was someone by Elle's side with an oxygen mask, and Luna simply stood over her, arms crossed over her chest.
Elle.......... you don't have to impress me.

Now that was strange, strange to breathe, it was so cold and ...well, she'd never smelt air so clean. But it made Elle annoyed. She was fine! Just a bit sore in the head. Anyone would if they fell over like that.
She pushed at the mask, "It's just my shoes, they slipped."

Elle. Luna knelt beside her, pressing her finger squarely in the middle of Elle's forehead. There's nothing to be ashamed of, and nothing to hide. This happens to nearly everybody at least once. Come on. We'll sit down, get served, and you can rest and catch your breath.

"Okay, okay." Elle smiled feebly, scrambling to her feet as quickly as she dared. Fainting was a very strange sensation. "Um. Lead the way."
She did kind of want to sit down, she decided, just in case it happened again.

Luna and Elle were quickly seated; a booth by the window, as Luna had specifically asked. Luna didn't even need a menu to order, but one was still placed in front of Elle.
Even if you're not going to eat or drink anything, you can still look at what they have?

"All right." Elle took the menu and stared at it. She felt a bit better, not that she had felt bad or anything, and the view out the window was interesting too.

Luna also stared out the window, eying the deep blue-- nearly indigo-- sky and the massive but clean city outside.
"All right, Miss Keth, I know you're going to want the pastry sampler, but what about you? Are you ready to order?" The waitress who'd just approached was peering at Elle now, a faint sympathetic smile on her face. "Are you feeling better?"

"I...yea, I'm all right." Elle smiled weakly at that. "Um. Just...what Luna's having, maybe. Yea."
She always felt and acted so awkward whenever she was in a situation or place that she wasn't used to. But Elle couldn't help it, she was comfortable when she knew as much as she could.
Maybe that was why she rarely left the shack.

"We're not so different than you Gaians," the waitress answered quickly, picking up on Elle's awkwardness. "Two pastry samplers, then." Pause. "And a cup of ice."

"Yes, okay. Thanks." She rubbed the part of her head that had hit the ground and made a face. "So anyway, it's nice here. It really is nice here. How big is this world compared to Gaia?"

About the same, really. Luna shrugged, staring off into space. We don't have much of a concept of nations, though. There's a small continent populated with Neilani holding more spiritual beliefs than the norm, but that's the extent of our cultural diversity, she explained. Compared to Gaia, we're a VERY unified people, and arguably homogenized people. We just... understand each other better, I think.
Her statement was punctuated by the delivery of the pastry samplers and glass of ice. "Here you girls go," the waitress offered kindly. "Two pastry samplers and a glass of ice." A pause. "And yes, I will go ahead and bring the check, ma'am."
Luna beamed brightly at the waitress. Thank you!
And with that, she wasted no time in digging into the pastries.

"Oh, okay. It sounds nice, and not as exiting as Gaia can be. That is almost attractive sounding... but I'm so used to Gaia with the strange mix by now."
Elle stared at the pastries in front of her for a moment. Could she really eat? She supposed so but she had to test so she put one in her mouth. It didn't taste as amazing as the time she'd ...but at the same time it brought memroies. She'd had pastries before! Maybe not exactly like this and not here, but it triggered a flood of memories from when she was a kid.
Plus, she liked the texture.
Elle picked up a second with a shy grin, and started on that too.
