Gaara just looked Kiba directly in the eye, an expressionless mask plastered on his face, "Nothing better to do huh?" Gaara almost sighed when Kiba asked him about his brother and sister, "I don't really care." What could he say? Old habits die hard. He just couldn't open his heart quick enough to let years and years of hatred be washed away. It was too difficult for him. Too difficult to love. Gaara found that hating was easier then loving.

Kankuro sighed slightly as he entered Konoha. "Man, why are all these places so far from eachother?" He groaned, whining about having to walk so far, and possibly even farther, just to find Gaara. He became even more irritated, as once he began looking through the streets, he had been bumped into by many of the villages' children. He resisted the urge to scare the snot out of them all, as he reminded himself that he was there to find his disappearing brother, not to cause trouble.
Unfortunately, that control didnt last too long.
Uknowingly by Kankuro, he was close to Gaara and Kiba, hearing range, rather, when he finally burst as a little girl nearly knocked him over.
"Dont you understand the meaning of 'Get out of my way?!'" Kankuro started, grabbing the stuffed bear the girl held and tossed it up in the air a few times with an angry, snide smile. The girl was pratically in tears as she watched her beloved toy become somewhat of a hackysack.
"Well? Do you?" Kankuro growled.

((*sigh* I need to re-watch the episode where Kankuro bullies Konohamaru...))

((Be afraid, be very afraid! But seriously, don't worry about it.))

Shikamaru rolled his eyes and glanced back at Sasuke. He found that he was as invisible as ever. Shikamaru moved slightly and nudged Sasuke with his elbow, on purpose this time, before beginning to walk away. Shikamaru had no idea why Sasuke ignoring him was pissing him off this much.

Gaara heard a noise. It sounded like a little girl whining and...his older brother. Fabulous. Gaara looked at Kiba, "I'll be right back. Maybe." he muttered the last part of the sentence as he walked in the direction of where he heard the noises.

When he got there, he came up behind Kankurou and took the little girl's doll away. He then knelt down and handed the girl the toy, "Be careful and watch where you are going from now on, okay?" he said. Gaara even startled himself by the amount of kindness in his voice. He shook his head slightly and stood up, "And Kankurou, you shouldn't pick on people that are smaller than you."


(( I just spent about two hours playing word bump. I got to level 48 before I got totally and completely sick of it and failed on purpose.))

Kiba sighed, "Shall we go see what all tat is a bout, Aka?" The dog whined but moved to the other street. He watched everything go on but didn't make a move to stop either sand nin. He watched the little girl run past him and blinked. Gaara's voice had been...kind? Oh come on Kiba! You knew he was trying to change and get..kinder. He has changed since the exams. I mean it was such a long time ago.

Shikamaru turned around to look Sasuke in the eye when he spoke. The sound of his voice made Shikamaru want to shiver, but, the look deep within his eyes made him curious. He tilted his head to the side ever so slightly, "You just seem kind of distracted. Heh, is Naruto annoying you again?" the curiosity in his voice was hidden by a slight jeering sarcasm. Shikamaru wasn't one to make fun of people, but, hell, Sasuke rubs off on you after years of going to the same school, seeing each other around all the time, thinking about him when you know you shouldn't be...wait, what? Scratch that last thought.

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow when Sasuke's eyes widened. He wondered of the other knew that he was doing to his own face in front of other people for no apparent reason, "Who is stupid? Me or you?" If he says me, I swear to...Shikamaru cut off his own thought before it got violent.

Gaara looked over at Kiba. He could see the look of amazement and shock in the other's eyes, "What?" he asked in his quiet, monotone voice. Maybe it was the kindness that he had shown to the little girl.
