Topanga giggled a little. "Envious? of me? I'll admit it's fun meeting family everywhere... but it's not very romantic." Then she blushed, avirted her eyes & quickly tried to redirect the conversation. "Anyway. I'm sure you'll get that chance, soon enough."
As if realizing that was not enough of a topic change the female blushed deeper. "So... um... what do you do in your tank all the time?"

Aki did not wnat to embarres this prety beside him. HE did not touch the work romantic, no matter how much he wanted to. and he just checked a little at then 'soon enough' comment. Topanga was soo cute ans sweet. He like the way she would just talk and not think about it. It was sweet and ment she was a very honest beta.
"Well most the time i help MuraSaki keep order in the tank. It mostly means watching over the little frys who think they own the place. but also making sure they all have homes when they grow, and teaching them how to gather their own food and make a bed. You know, life stuff. What about you, what do you do in your tank?"

"Well, when it was just me I'd either watch the other creatures in our home or look out on the gardens. There really wasn't much to do after I made a place to sleep. Now... well, I try to get El to play games but she's not too into it though she will dance to some of the more soothing musics Trel plays. Yun's better for games, if you can get her to follow the rules long enough." She sighed wearily, then chuckled. "Most of the time we race... if only to keep Yun from heading through the portkey without us. All in all, it's not a bad time."
Topanga looked thoughtful. "Elanorriel's the responsible one. I can see her keeping everyone in line if there were more than the three of us in our tank. I do like to see that Yun's watched over... but El doesn't seem to mind that job." She grinned at Aki; a silly expression not quite making fun of herself. "Maybe I'm still too young to know myself very well yet. But that doesn't seem quite right. El's younger than me & she's so sure." She sighed, more from the thoughts in her head than from any sadness. "Sometimes... I think I get too much time to think."
Glancing down Topanga was surprised at how far they had gone. The coral structure below was colorful & bright -and had just the right sized openings throughout for adult beta to swim in & out of. A twinkle brightened her dark blue eyes as she tilted her head at the male. Topanga wiggled her back fin for a moment in thought, then tucking her flower in the crook of her fin wiggled her fin free of Aki's. She tapped him lightly on the side. "Tag! You're it!"
With a giggle, Topanga raced towards the reef.

"well at least you got to- HEY!" he yelled after Topanga as she swam off. Aki set off as fast as he could trying to catch Topanga. "i will get you my pretty!!!" He tryed to take a short cut and intercept Topanga, but took a wrong turn. He came up looking for her... thinking she would hide when he dissapeared behind her "come out come out where ever you are"

Topanga was hiding, & it was all she could do to hold herself still as laughter threatened to shake her silly. She had hoped Aki would play -he sounded as if he really could use the break in routine. Plus, he was enjoyable to be with. This was in sorts an inadvertent test Topanga did not know she was even giving. Hearing the male call out for her a giggle escaped Topanga & she wiggled further into the knot of coral she was hiding in -not realizing that the end of that particular "tunnel" opened up not far from where Aki currently was.

Aki did a few fake AH HAW!'s behind a few plants. knowing that she was either not there, or the spot was to small for her. He was just going for drama effect because it was fun! He looked in a cave that looke to small and he caught himself before yelling something fake again seeing Topanga curled up looking like she was giggling silently to her self. Aki quick pondered what to do. Since her back was to him he coud tag her and make a dash for it... and hid himself. HE quitly reached down the cave mouth and poked Topanga "YOUR IT!!!!" and he swam off hiding in a pile or seaweed for getting to make sure his tail was in. So it was hanging out. And he was wiggling from all the giggling and fast swimming he just did.

Topanga squealed with surprise as she was tagged from behind. She flipped her fins rapidly in response, causing her to lurch into a branch of coral just as Aki swam off to hide. Giggling to herself she rubbed at the sore spot with her fin before emerging from her tunnel to chase after the male.
He was hiding, so of course Topanga did not see him at first. Then she caught sight of a motion that did not quite go with the flow of the current waving seaweed around it. The female clownfish grinned, recognizing the color. Perhaps in a different batch of seaweed those tails might not have stood out as much, but here they did. Especially since they were wriggling more than being moved by the current.
Trying not to giggle, Topanga swam stealthily up on the tails until she could reach out & grab them. Which she did with a giggle -trying to hold on with her fins if only for a moment. "Tag! You're it!"

Aki just rolled over in full out, pulling off his cover as he rolled. He was laughing hard enough that he just caught a glims of Topanga swimming away. He did not know what to do. He was having such a great time. It has been so long since there where guppies that actualy wnated to play silly games with him. The fact that he had met someone who would ment a lot to the male.
He was finaly able to just go down to slight giggles which allowed him to swim. Though his fin was stuck in the seaweed and it took severla moment for him to get out. He hoped Topanga was hidden and did not see that embarssment. A though of her beautiful face giggleing and smiling filled him with more happness that alowed him to call out sweetly, that was not the fake i am going to get you sweet but real genunian sweet, "All right pretty-one. heart time for me to find you!" he was smiling and started to swim in the direction she swam off in.

Topanga had not gone far -ducking into a patch of multicolored sea flowers that camouflaged her colorful scales rather well. That Aki did not seem to come directly after her cave the clownfish female a moment to think. And to get her wildly beating heart into some degree of normal. She was slightly breathless too, and she did not know if it was from the game... or something else.
Her back to a soft sponge, Topanga pondered.

Aki looked around a bit but was not having much luck finding topanga. And it made him s little sad that it was taking so long to see that pretty beta. soon he turned and back tracked thinking may be hi missed her. he looked more closly at the places that would match her colorations and stop by where she was hiding, though he did not see her. he called out "i will find you my pretty! heart " as his back was to her, still trying to find her!

Hearing the compliment Topanga blushed & shivered, her motions shaking the plants around her. Noticing that her eyes went wide & she had to stifle a gasp, but not before most of the sound had escaped her.

Aki tworled aorund and looked at the bush. Rushing in to it and grabbing Topanga, pulling her close to him. But he over judged when to stop and the rolled a little. Aki held he close as they slowed. though when they finaly stoped Aki did not let go of Topanga, like the way she felt in his arms.

Topanga made a squeak that was a mixture of alarm and delight as she was first discovered then "captured" by her new friend. She laughed with enjoyment as they rolled, clinging to him almost reflexively.
Now she was certainly breathing heavy, and it was definitely more than could be credited the activity alone. Realizing she was clinging to Aki she blushed & almost let go before it dawned on her that he was still holding her as well. Her blue eyes shone almost over-bright as they sought the male's. "A-Aki...?"
Topanga was certain he could hear the frantic way her heart was beating. How could he not, so close to him as she was?

Aki did not, in fact, hear her heart over his own. though he did feel it her being as close to him as she was.
Aki turned his big brown eyes to hers. he was breathing heavier then normal, even with the game playing he was doing. "...yes..." he whispered breathlessly. He wanted to kiss her. she was so pretty there in his arms. He was usre it was her that took his breath away. and he would have said it if she did not start the conversation by calling his name.

Yes what? Oh right... she had asked a question. Of sorts. Yes, he was feeling all fluttery inside too? Yes, his heart was pounding? Well, yes... Topanga could tell that at least when she gave herself pause enough to figure out that was the strange sensation happening outside of her body.
Not knowing what to do or even being able to think about what she wanted to do (though her body was getting some ideas of its own it was not quite sharing with her yet) Topanga kept her eyes on his & gently touched their cheeks together.
