Akimbo Yeah, he could have done something after kidnapping Nathan..but Nathan went and flew away before anything could be done. For all that we know, he could have been wiping his memory of the night before so that he'd forget about Nikki or anything else that was going on. But..since Nathan got away, we really don't know what was going on. They had Matt but they let him go. If they were out to test on these people why would they let one of them just..go, with no other word said to them? ..anybody else notice how quickly that guy gets around, though? Srsly. He lives in Texas and he just keeps popping up EVERYWHERE. True. There's no way to tell what he might have done. In regards to Matt though, we don't know yet what was done to him asides from the mindgutting of the one day. They had to take him in for some reason other than that, and who knows what they could have done to him that he hasn't experienced yet? What better way to see the results of your experiment than to monitor them while they're applied to real situations? I noticed that, and can't decide whether I think it's a plothole, or whether there's something more behind it. xp

I guess we're just stuck until it gets further in to find out what's going on with Claire's daddy and everything. Maybe they'll be nice and throw in some more clues for us.
I hope it's just a plot hole, because it would be weird if something else was going on. That black guy though? Holy crap that guy scares me when he pops out of nowhere.

I hope it's not a plothole though, or is at least logically explained somehow. I think I'd be really disappointed if it were a plothole. I like shows I watch to be well-rounded instead of being Swiss cheese. xd And holy-high-octane crap, even though I expect it, it disturbs me every time. xd

Bweee... Theeeeooorieeeees. For all that I squee about the show, I hadn't really given it all that much thought. I was sort of in the mode of enjoying it as it happens, and trying not to anticipate too much so that I'll be surprised when it comes along. xd
I definitely think the idea of the brain eating/power stealing thing makes sense, particularly in regards to protecting Claire. Definitely a scary thought.
I also kept wondering about that little girl and whether she would turn out to be a super-power herself; I was a bit surprised she didn't show up again, but perhaps they're saving that for later?
As for releasing Matt, perhaps it would make sense if they were letting each of the super-powers raise their own powers to a better level before the stealing/eating? Not sure if that would be necessary, but perhaps if he can't continue to develop the powers beyond their initial state once he's stolen them, he needs for the other people to let their powers "ripen," so to speak, before he snags them away. In Matt's case, he started out only hearing occasional thoughts and now he's hearing everything, which could mean his powers just weren't mature enough, initially, for them to be worth taking?
I'm not sure about Claire-daddy, either. But even if he's not outright evil, he gives off creepy-bad vibes. gonk And while I don't want Suresh's friend to be a badgirl, I can definitely see the reasoning. sweatdrop So far, she has seemed awfully convenient and overly interested in the research.

Finally, I've watched the first episode. Very cool...totally living up to my expectations so far. heart
I think I'll watch the rest with my Hiro this weekend since he seems vaguely interested too. After that, I'll be back for some commentary action. cool

Chromefox And the girl, Eden, I don't disagree. She's very convenient to trust and damage the protagonist, and looks innocent enough to boot. I'm pretty sure the last time we watched, someone yelled "She's one of 'em" at the TV. Meaning evil, or something. And...she is XD

Carried over from the GC for Hila's sake. xd Rageki Le Klueze Kinetic Dream I've said it since the second episode. The stripper's power is not her alter ego. xd *heads off to heroes thread* ...But...that was the alter ego... sweatdrop But her power isn't that she has an alter ego. It's entirely possible that, like Issac's drug addiction, it's used as a catalyst, and with proper use and training it would be entirely possible for her to use her super strength in a natural state. But, considering the fact that she lugged two full grown men (granted, in pieces, but still full grown men) into the desert in the middle of the night to bury them, and worked for a good three-six hours straight without getting exhausted, she might be tapping it already without realizing it.
