I love listening to songs in other languages. I listen to songs from all over, though most are Japanese. I also tend to listen to Korean, Dutch, German, etc. Most Dutch people I like tend to sing in English, though, my native language. Currently I am obsessed with the soundtrack of "Bride and Prejudice", both the Hindi and English versions. Some of my favorite singers/groups are:

Japanese:
Utada Hikaru
Sakamoto Maaya (love her singing and voice acting)
Do As Infinity (who're no more crying )
L'arc~en~Ciel

Korean:
S.E.S. (who're also no more crying )

Chinese:
Faye Wong (Never get tired of her stuff heart )

German:
E Nomine

Dutch:
K3 (Yes, you read that right, children's music. Blame it on my cute little Dutch host cousins)

Sometimes i'll have a tune in my head and i'll start sing the lyrics, and for fun i'll try to put the lyrics into french and try to sing it. i LOVE doing that.

DART OF SECKS
Yeah, I'm the same way, I have like, 850 songs on my iTunes, and I'd say half aren't English. 3nodding

Swedish: Basshunter
biggrin

They're great, but their songs get stuck in my head all the time... Especially "Boten Anna". >.<

Hmm, foreign music... I mostly listen to music in English or Swedish, sometimes in French as well (Céline Dion!). But I do have songs in other languages, too, such as Korean and Norwegian. smile

Let's see... I listen to lots of English (more the country and the language English than the language but not the country...)... I'm a Pink Floyd and The Alan Parsons Project fanboy, what can you expect? That, plus Blue Öyster Cult, Coldplay, Aerosmith, a-Ha (which is actually Norweigian, but they sing in English anyway, and they were in England at the time... razz )

.hack// OSTs, aka Kajiura Yuki x3billion or so, and when it's not an instrumental, it could be in English, German, or Japanese...

I listen to deutschrock. Unexpected? Maybe not so much. I don't like Rammstein that much, except for a few songs (Ich Will... heart ). I like And One, OOMPH!, and Eisbrecher.

I have 2 songs in Russian, not counting Once Upon A December, which is on YouTube: Dlya Tebya by Zveri and Robot by Tatu. I have Robot because my compsci teacher a few years back was a Tatu fan, and Dlya Tebya because I found the youtube, had the song stuck in my head, and finally tracked it down razz

Oh, I have some scary French songs.
And Ievan Polka. Oh god, the horror.
I don't listen to those much.

Alas! I have babbled on!

I must go attempt to sleep biggrin

I'll be waiting for you, baby...

I think everyone should hear La Ceinture, by Elodie Frégé.

I admit that I tend to listen to music in languages I'm studying (French and German), also Japanese because I'll be studying it at university. So I at least partially understand some of the lyrics. I haven't listened to any Spanish or Arabic music or anything like that. Probably should, though. xD

I also recommend Värttinä heart

Some others:
Håkan Hellström (Swedish)
Café Tacuba (Spanish)
Marta Sebestyén (Hungarian) (she has also sung for the band Muzsikás)
"Opblaaskrokodil" by Ome Henk (Dutch) is SO catchy and hilarious.

I'm probably forgetting some stuff. I'll add more if I think of any. 3nodding

I like English music the most. Just because I like English and because it's not my first language.
I'd like do download some French songs. French pop music. Any ideas?

Pop... Like commercial pop? Or Pop rock?
For the second choice, i'd say , try Anais, Deportivo, kyo or Superbus[i don't like those so much... but some do] , Mylene Farmer , Telephone.
Give a try to Louise Attaque too, maybe you'll like [it's awesome ;D ]

Thank you! I'll go and look for some.

That would mean you listen to music in two languages: Japanese and Engrish. heart

(Funny how people restrict themselves. I as a MUCC fan wouldn't want to miss System of a Down, for example. Or when the Dir en grey mood strikes, I listen to Atari Teenage Riot and Ministry as well.)
