[Okies, Shiny... one week later!!]
Hitomi sat in sky room one, half asleep. She had been taking care of Shinku for the entire week, treating and wrapping his wounds... stuff like that. She got up once again, stumbling a little as she stood. "Ah... so tired..." She mumbled, and she grabbed the bucket of water that had been in the room for the last week, and she splashed some on her face, waking her up.
"Mabey he'll wake up today...." She said hopefully, a small smile forming on her face. The ghost child had been visiting, and every now and then giving Hitomi the opportunity to see Shinku's face. A kind child.
"He should wake up today!" The child said, floating into the room.
"I sure hope so..." Hitomi replied, placing a cloth on Shinku's fore-head.

Shinku's body remained motionless, then, as if a miracle were occurring, his eyes opened. Slowly at first, but very surely until they snapped completely open. He sat up, the cloth falling onto his lap. "What the hell happened...? How long was I out...?" He mumbled quietly. He yawned and rubbed his eyes quietly, waking up completely.

"Ah, Shinku-san..." Hitomi said quietly as she let out a yawn. "How long were you out? Well... you were out for a week... We were attacked by ninja..." She replied.
"Yeah!" agreed the ghost child, giving a stern nod. "Miss Hitomi has been looking after you with hardly any sleep!"
Hitomi just shook her head. "I'm alright... but what about you, Shinku-san? are you alright?" She asked, worried.

"Keep your voice down... I just woke up kid..." Shinku said quietly. "I'm fine Hitomi... Just worried about giving you such a hard time..." He said quietly. "Hitomi... I really need to find some way to thank you..." He said quietly, his voice gentle and soft. Why would she care for me so diligently? Could she possibly... Love me? He asked himself in his thoughts. If that's the case... I guess I'm happy... He concluded. "So... How are you feeling?" He asked.

Hitomi smiled cheerily. "I'm one-hundred percent okay!" She replied, her bright blue eyes giving a soft expression. She stood up from her kneeling position, stretching her arms out before giving a small sigh. Quietly turning around, Hitomi grabbed Shinku's shirt and jacket from the small wooden chair and then turned back around. She handed Shinku his clothing, adding, "I washed and repaired them. There was a tear on the right shoulder of each."
The ghost child merely smiled, biting her toungue.
"Hey, Shinku-san? I know we met only a week ago, but..."

Shinku stood up and slipped the red shirt over his head, his arms coming through the sleeveless ports. "Yeah? What is it Hitomi?" He asked gently, draping his jacket over his shoulders, feeling the black suede cloth against his arms. He then noticed the ghost child was smiling, jaw pressing into her tongue. A certain glint showed in his eyes and he knew what was coming. She was going to confess how she felt.

"I-I, uhm..." She stammered. Her pulse was racing, and she was playing with her fingers. She wanted to admit how she felt, but it was so difficult. Why couldn't she just come out and say that she had feelings for him?
"I--I'm.... glad your back..." She said, freaking out at the last second. She couldn't say it, no matter how big the blush on her face, she couldn't say it. Hitomi backed away slowly, but then ran out of the room, too embarassed.
The ghost child sighed, shaking her head. Looking back at Shinku, she cocked her head to the side. "Don't bother going after her... she'll come back.... Did you know what she was gonna say?" She asked. Of course she knew... she could tell! "You know... you really worried her. She ended up having to spit blood to save you... and do you know how she feels about blood?"

"Excuse me kid... You can be an ancient ghost or a recently killed one, but I don't like how you're acting towards me... I can already tell she doesn't enjoy blood, and I already know what she was going to say! And I love her too!" He shouted at the ghost. He then ran out after Hitomi, leaving the ethereal being behind.

The ghost smiled a little, but it quickly faded... "Baka..." She muttered under her breath. She hated yelling... she couldn't stand it in fact. With that thought, though, she dissappeared.
Hitomi sat against a wall in one of the corridoors, her head hanging low. She was so embarrassed... She then felt that the ghost child came back, and she was touched on the shoulder. "Ah... hello, Emiko-chan." Hitomi said gently.
"Your gonna need my sight... he's looking for you..." She muttered, sounding almost depressed, and with that she fused into Hitomi without a seconds hesitation, hearing footsteps.

"Hitomi?" Shinku asked, coming to a stop near her when he found her. He crouched down in front of her quietly and brought his hand onto her cheek, sliding it down to her chin, where he then lifted her head, so that, even if she was blind, he could look her in the eyes and say: "Hitomi... I love you..." He said quietly and kissed her.

Hitomi could see it all, though she felt her eyes close slowly. Her heart raced, though she could almost swear it skipped a beat. She could feel hear rising up to her cheeks, a wild blush appearing on her face, her eye-brows curving downwards. She felt herself shudder, giving a small, submisive sigh as she slowly pulled away. She rested her forehead on his, her eyes looking directly into his.
"Shinku... I-" She paused, looking away fro a minute, but then looking back again, "I love you too!" she cried softly. She felt a small stream of tears run down her face... but they were really happy tears. Hitomi... couldn't remember when she last cried for happiness. Mabey... it never happened before.
"Just one more... just one more kiss...please." She whispered in Shinku's ear quietly, then moving back towards his face, giving him a kiss, wrapping her arms over his shoulder.
Love? What is love? Is this love?

Shinku put his arms around Hitomi after the kiss and wiped her tears away gently. "Come on Hitomi... We should get out of these halls..." He told her quietly, taking her hand and picking her up off the floor. She's so beautiful... He thought fondly as he waited for her to follow him.

Hitomi was pulled up, and she smiled at Shinku gently, the wild blush still on her face, yet it was lighter. She wondered where they were headed to now, but she decided to follow Shinku, regardless. "Shinku... where are we going now?" She asked softly, her voice full of curiousity.

"I... Uh... Dunno!" Shinku said, feeling a giant sweat drop travel down his cheek. "Well... Where would you like to go then?" He asked curiously, unsure of what to do, since he had only been out with one girl who had been too timid to say much.

Hitomi smiled, her eyes closing for an instant, but when they openened, there was nothing but white. This saddened Hitomi, for Emiko had left quickly. "I'm unsure as well. I want you to decide this time." She replied cheerily. The campus and off campus areas were certainly large, with many area's to explore.
"Hey, Shinku, have you seen Emiko?" She asked quietly, worried about the ghost child.
