xD Nice.
For my mom's 50th birthday party we all wrote down little things we wanted to tell her, and my sister put them into 50 balloons. We bought her her two favorite cakes, carrot and german chocolate, which no one but her liked, and then when she brought me home from school and we all yelled surprise and whatnot, she got to pop all of the baloons and read their sayings. ;D Yeah, we're awesome sometimes.

I'd have to say the grim reaper, but either as a beautiful darkend angel or a skeleton, would be me favorite. Because it's a nickname people've called me since 7th grade.
I hate the people on escalators as a symbol of dead people....argh. Removes the fantasy with death to me, personally stare .

I'd say the grim reaper but not a funny or cartoony one. I like it when you can't see its face and it seems to be almost lost in a big shattered cloak or when it's almost abstract. It's both frightening and elegant at the same time. Cause that kinda what death's like, frightening but intriguing and somewhat abstract.
I also like tombstones a lot, although I think it's weird to see how people seem to be replaced by stones when they're dead. It's the only part of them that we can still see but talking to a stone won't help more than talking to a picture or a wall.

i prefer to look at death as malleable. sometimes the symbol of death could be anything from a red sun rising to a crow. in celtic lore one of my favorite goddesses has a tendency to appear to warriors as a crow to show them their death is imminent.

My favorite symbol of death is a black circle. I beleive it represents how death is forever; my symbol of life would be a white square. My symbol for existance would be a white square surrounded by a black circle. Because you can't escape death. It's always there, and there's no way out.

My favorite symbol is a circle of black ravens. They mean death, swift, sure, and imminent. Unavoidable. My least favorite is the four pointed star. It's supposed to be for hope or whatever, but it just looks weird. And a meaning behind the black ravens' circle? The importance? I was once surrounded by one, and the day after I left there was an unusual death toll. It's happened more than once. People make jokes and call me Death, probably because every year, someone linked to me, my friends, my family, my classmates, or the city I happen to be in, dies. Ah well.

It's always there, and there's no way out. death is not forever though. you don't die and simply cease existing, you die and have your unlife on the other side and then die there and come back here. life, death, and unlife, followed by life, death, and unlife.

Whenever I think of death, I think of the Anarchy symbol. You know, this: I don't know why, though. It's weird.

Speaking of juuust symbols, not just symbols of death...
I think my current symbol to the people around me would be a rolled up porno mag, ready to smack someone. owO Which is sort of funny, because it would have to be someone else's magazine because I don't own any.
Why would that be my symbol? Because I whip out porn jokes a lot to my coworkers. They aren't even jokes just... absurdity. : P The only way to keep your insanity in this stationary, elementary place... .::le~sigh::.
