I'm Chinese..
But oh come on.
Not one person has guessed or assumed I was something else.
Some person ASSUMED I was CHINESE..but spoke JAPANESE to me. neutral

Vega_Hatake oh man i remember one time when i was playing basket ball with my cousins this black kid came up to us and started dissing us.. lol it was funny he said that we were chinese not asian.. xd we were all laughing at him.. he was really pissed off when we said that he wasnt african he was black.. ahahaha he was like.. mm i think a little 3rd grader.. very brave to walk up to a group of asian people and start dissing them =/

Ohh! i had this happen to me before!! Just w/out the Chinese part..
I had this Friend and we were talking about how "asian" i was...
he was like "What's Asian?" i was like O.O ME!! and then he had a friend that was Filipino and i was like "He's Asian too -points to his friend-"
Then he shouts out across the bus "Hey Michael Are you Asian??"
(Michael was the name of his friend btw)
and then his friend goes "What's Asian??"
First of all i was pissed and speechless at the same time and was tempted to slap the stupidness out of him. it's bad enuff that he calls himself a Filipino stare

I get a great kick out of it when people ask me that question. Especially since I'm not asked about it as often, because I'm Black and Asian, so I have Asian eyes but darker skin. The worst part is though, when people do ask, it is usually because I am studying Japanese kanji. I even tell them it is Japanese. But they still ask, "Oh, so you're Chinese?" W-T-F.
It was worse during the unit in my AP World History class when we were discussing China. I swear that every other time something about China was mentioned another boy stared at me with a, "Hey, you're Chinese aren't you?!" kind of look. Funny part is, he's Asian too, I think he was Indian though.
And of course, nobody ever guesses that I'm Asian Indian. But it is hard to tell other Asians a part, even for Asians; there was a good thread about it a while back called something like, "All Asians Look Alike".

Yeah, someone asked me where I came from, and I said that my dad's Korean. She asked where Korea was, and I said it's below China. She sat there for a minute and looked at me with the most serious face and goes "Where's that?" eek

everyone thinks im chinese also just becuz of my eyes then i say im not chinese and i say im laos then somtime they say something like wats that? and i get so friggin mad

setomaru ya...someone actually said that to me....it was kind of shocking......i also told the person that i was also Viet and cambodian too but she was all like " uhhh.....what's that...????" seriously, it knid of scared me... also, some girl came up to one of my friends Evan, and said "Hey Evan, what's your name??"....she really meant it too.....
