"B-but you're the one paying," Kaleb protested, "and if you have a preference, it makes more sense that we do that." He fidgeted slightly, feeling a little awkward.

"Ahh, i may be paying but it is a gift and it would be horrible of me to pick a gift for you that i would want and not a gift you would want." He smiled and tilted his head slightly as he spoke. "So you get to choose where we shall eat"

Kaleb opened his mouth as though about to make another protest, but he closed it without saying a word. He blushed a bit, he hadn't thought of the meal as a gift. "I-I know of a small place that makes good soups and sandwiches, would that be okay?" He asked, hesitantly glancing up at his companion.

"That sounds lovely." He nodded. "Lead the way." Soup and sandwiches sounded lovely. He was horrible at making soup himself so having some that tasted good would be a nice change.

Kaleb smiled cheerfully, pleased that his suggestion seemed to agree with Luxord. "I-it's not too far from here, which is convenient since I can't bring lunch into the library." On any usual day, however, he was so wrapped up in his studying that he completely forgot to leave the library for meals.

"You mean you actually remember to eat on a regular basis?" he was joking of course and his tone was light as he spoke. That was one good thing about being on Father Time's good side. You never had to worry about missing anything.

Kaleb blinked and almost tripped at Luxord's comments. He regained his balance with an embarassed blush, unsure of how to respond to the lighthearted verbal poke. "I-I don't always remember," he said timidly, offering a shy smile.

"Perhaps i should send Demyx after you with food once in a while" He chuckled as he ruffled the blond's hair. It really wasnt healthy to not eat but the little mage did seem to at least get enough to survive at least

As usual, Kaleb found the hair-ruffling relaxing in it's familiarity, and he smiled a bit as he replied. "Thank you for the thought, b-but I wouldn't want to be of any trouble." His lopsided smile grew a bit as he stopped in front of the small restaurant, and pulled open the door. "This is it."

"Demyx wouldnt call it trouble." he walked inside and waited for Kaleb. "He'd like the excuse to come see you"
Plus since he made lunch for himself and the musician all the time it wouldnt be a trouble to make an extra portion.

Kaleb almost beamed as he followed the gambler. "Demyx can visit me any time. B-but only if he's okay." His pleased expression quickly vanished as he added in the last bit, replaced by a bit of lingering worry. He probably wouldn't be completely satisfied with Luxord's assurances until he saw for himself that Demyx was okay.
He glanced up at the menu, and then to his companion. "Do you see anything that interests you?"

"I'm sure as soon as he stops poking at is own fluffyness he'll come visit you. He's just been a little more clumsy than usual." Which was to be expected since he had extra weight added on to his body.
Looking the menu over he found a few things that sounded like they would be tasty. "A few things. Rather nice selection they have here"

"I hope he doesn't hurt himself," Kaleb replied. At least that meant Demyx was wandering around, and that thought made the mage feel a bit better.
He glanced up at the menu again. "I was impressed the first time I came here, they have some good vegetarian soups."

"He's been trying to figure out how to get his wings to stay up rather than drag on the ground." He chuckled as he though about Demyx's expirements of moving his wings. "They are still slightly sore but they dont hurt him anymore"
He looked over the menu again. "The potato soup sounds rather delicious."

"I'm glad he's not in too much pain." Kaleb said quietly. That had been the hardest part of the situation, seeing Demyx in so much pain and not being able to do a thing about it.
He nodded, "The potato soup is good. My favorite is the vegetable barley, it's also pretty good."
