x_LoveObject_x PatrioticPikachu I agree with you 100%. I think they finally cancelled Inuyasha. Poor show. I used to like it... Until it never ended. >_< But for non-manga readers, they wont know that half the series are fillers anyways. Trust me. Some of my friends who watch Naruto said their favorite episode was the whole review (Episode 26). And they didn't know it was a filler. But, eh, fillers still make me laguh. Like the whole laughing Shino episode. The sheer pointlessness off it cracked me up.
EDIT: POOR ASUMA!
Oh, they'll know that they're fillers. When it gets to the point that a plot doesn't last beyond part 1 and 2, they'll know. Unless they're kids. The Kakashi's Mask episode was funny too XD I cried over Asuma. crying *Burns inscense* Yesh. Poor Asuma. -shares a moment of silence- They shouldn't kill him. They can kill Kurenai though... Annoying.. little... ugh.

SilenceOfWater Yep. Fillers are very amusing though. If you don't like em, don't watch em! It's THAT simple. I think fillers are a very good way to get a grip on the secondary characters that aren't in the series too much. And even though these things aren't shown in the manga, Kishimoto-Sensei allows them to create the fillers anyway. So, I think, if it is okay with the creator, it should be okay with everyone else. Really though, if you don't like fillers, then you shouldn't be watching the anime anyway, there is always going to be some, so why not watch them while they are there? It is NOT "that simple". When you don't want to watch the plotless fillers, and they take OVER A YEAR, it is not that simple. stressed And you are beyond naive to have the nerve to tell people they shouldn't be watching the series. We watch the series for PLOT. For in depth character development. Not random fillers. You OVBIOUSLY haven't been watching Naruto long... Everyone I know that has is tired of the fillers. We NEVER said that a series shouldn't have fillers. We said it shouldn't have a YEAR of them. You're very rude. stressed

We NEVER said that a series shouldn't have fillers. We said it shouldn't have a YEAR of them. You're very rude. stressed Actually... You are the one being rude. This thread is for everyone's oppinion on the fillers. That is her opinion. Besides, she has a point. We in America are only on the third season. For us to actually see the fillers, we have to download or go to youtube. We don't HAVE to watch them. We could ignore the fillers until you see something interesting and continued (ex: Kakashi Gaiden etc.). I know someone, who hates Americanized anime. So she doesn't watch it. If you hate fillers, don't watch em. It simple logic.
And again, what's the point of getting worked up over the anime? You already know what's going to happen. All that's different is that you can see them move and hear them. You're not learning anything new. There is no shock to your system when Naruto does this or someone dies here.
And about Kurenai... She's just so unimportant. If it wasn't for the fillers about her, 203-206 or somewhere around there, we wouldn't remember she exsisted! Fake or not, fillers still gives insight, false or true, on characters that do not appear in the manga. In the manga, all we saw her do was a crappy, FAILED genjutsu against Itachi... That's it. No more Kurenai. How can she be important? Asuma however, was all over, saying Shikamaru, playing games with him, giving advice to Naruto, and he dies. -_- Not fair...

XD; *says this one last time before giving up*
Our problem with fillers, especially fillers that go on for this long, is that they tend to kill a series. They clutter up an anime that we like with useless, BAD episodes that have no basis in the manga. They give Naruto haters out there valid reason to call the anime bad. Occasional fillers are okay. However, an entire season or more when the series COULD be put on hold until the manga catches up? That is PLENTY of reason for complaint from fans, especially when, as I said, all of these pointless and often just plain bad episodes are cluttering up the anime and messing with canon. Yes, Kishimoto probably approved them, but he did not WRITE them (as far as I know), which means that any 'insight' they give into characters is not real insight. Real insight on the characters comes directly from Kishimoto himself, not some writer for the anime. Kishimoto created these characters, they are HIS, and only he can give any insight on them. Just like fanfiction isn't canon, neither are fillers, because they are not written by the creator.
...XD I just realized. The fillers are bad fanfiction. Ooo, I like that.
Anyway. XD; Let's keep this friendly on both sides, okay? Friendly debate, not argument.

She was just stating that if your gonna get worked up about fillers then you might as well stop watching that's all! I understand the whole, year of fillers thing.. I mean, they can start with the Kakashi Gaiden and A: End the season RIGHT where Naruto lay's eyes on Sasuke again, ad start with more fillers yet again, B: End it after Sasuke and Orochimaru leaves and start more filelrs, C: End it after Gaara dies and before he's revived, and start with the fillers... Um.. where else is a good cliffy... OO! Right where Sai joins in... Yes Yes. But seriously, prolonging the anime for so long is annoying but fillers keep me occupied. Regardless, I learned a hell of a lot of Japanese from the fillers. HEHEH! dramallama

They don't only speak Japanese in the fillers, you know. They won't bother with too many fillers with some arcs. Between getting Gaara back and getting Sai/going to find the spy of Oto, maybe some, but it's going to take them a while to get through all of the different fights. As I remember, it took several months to get through them in the manga as it was. After they get back, I'd actually LIKE a few fillers--IF they dealt with Sai and Team Seven. I'd like to see more of them then we will get to for a while. We're not against fillers, you naive new-to-Naruto fan... we're against TOO MANY as we have said SEVERAL times. Kakashi gaiden was fine. Sasuke's past was fine. One shot fillers like the one where they were trying to see Kakashi's face were fine! Those were good, informing, and entertaining. When you get one after another for a LONG time, they get OLD and when you get into a series for plot, that's what you WANT!

The series is being butchered, whether we watch the fillers or not. I don't have to see every horrible episode to know that. She has plenty of right to complain about fillers; as I've explained, the topic is very complain-worthy. ^^; I can understand her getting annoyed by someone reducing the topic to, "Don't like, don't watch."

SilenceOfWater Hey, I never said that I wasn't tired of it. I just find it sort of silly that you are complaining about it instead of writing out complaints to the anime company is all. And no, I haven't been watching it for long. But it doesn't make me any less intelligent about it. I know about the ridiculous amount of fillers in Naruto, but I also know that whining about it isn't going to make it stop. So I don't. You seem to be new to forums as well. Forums are for discussion. For talking, ranting, raving, and expressing feelings on threads. Our feeling was that we didn't like fillers. For some (admittedly) new fan like you to suddenly come in and tell us, 'Don't like, don't watch.' was very rude. You really had no right to say that. 'I watch the fillers, I like them.' would make enough sense. There's NOTHING wrong with complaining. Don't like it, don't read it. Don't reply. stressed And, OH YEAH! Write the company!!! Because I SO think that they'd stop the fillers for ME! GREAT idea! stare SilenceOfWater She wasn't talking to you. She was talking to Love Object. It doesn't really matter to me what happens, but what I did say was true. And she can reserve every right to complain. I said nothing different. But i'm done with this thread. It's trivial. To quote Pikachu: PatrioticPikachu This thread is for everyone's oppinion on the fillers. That is her opinion. She should look at her own words, and so should you. It's not like 'Don't like, don't watch' solves everything like that. AND if you notice in her quote, she was talking to BOTH of us. Chieira And finally, I think that what LO got offended by was someone telling her basically that if she wanted to complain, she just shouldn't watch the anime, as if that suddenly solves everything when it doesn't. -Sighs heavily- I give up. If this wasn't a typing thing I'd continue this forever if I could talk but I'm tired now.
LoveObject, I don't want to SOUND rude but the only one being rude here is you. You constantly condradict yourself. You've stated that this is a thread where you talk, rant, or whatever else, yet you are constantly attacking someone else. And I don't like the fact that you constantly assume stuff about me. A: I am NOT a n00b and B: I am no new-to-Naruto fan. Ok? I don't like getting in squabbles with anyone so I'm just going to see my way out of this. It isn't worth it at all.
Chieira, I know fillers ruing animes. I know about Inuaysha, I hate it now because of the fillers. To me the only anime that I loved to the end was Yu Yu Hakusho because... even thought I didn't read the manga, it ended... It wasn't stretched until everyone hates it, it's over and done. That what needs to happen to the fillers. I know that. But I find it easier to stop caring and just watch it or not since I can't do anything by posting my anger on Gaia or throwing my toys around my room. (Which I find very funny. xD) Complaining to the filler creators might be a better idea. Saves the frusstration os others and yourself. Hell, write to Kishimoto, tell him to stop letting the butcher his anime.
Because regardless, fillers are used to let the manga get a head of the anime, yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah, and still give insight on the characters. Regardless if you think it's fake or not if you watch you will see that the characters are still IN character. Take the whole Hinata getting a new technique. They show just how much she wants to prove herself. We all know that's what she wants to do. They don't go around making her a b***h and then faling in love with Kiba randomly. THEN I'd cause a riot... seriously. >_<
Besides, we all know that Kishimoto wouldn't let the fillers continue if he didn't APPROVE of them. They can't do that. If he didn't mind the fillers then he'd just stop producing fillers until he was ready to continue with the actual plot. But still, it was nice talking to you guys until it started getting to... annoying. Later, see you in a different topic.
