Yeah I did mean tousen, when he rained the blades down on Kenpachi.
I'm not saying the flaws aren't easy to see....it's just unoriginal. Is what i'm getting at.

Name: Gash Slayer / Kira-Kirikizu Art: Zanjutsu Description: The user places their soul cutter onto their, or the victim's, left palm. The blade's edge lightly cuts into the palm and sucks out a thimbleful of blood. After that the user says "Kirikizu" and a healing effect takes place on the to be healed person. Notes: Heals 20 + (X * Reiatsu Mod) of the user's or the injured person's health. '5 + X' is the Reiatsu cost. X is defined as the Reiatsu amount needed to boost the healing technique's power by an increase of the shinigami's Reiatsu Mod."

Name: Tomb Raise / Funbo Reizu Art: Zanjutsu Description: The user says "Reizu" and a small amount of blood comes from the shinigami's sword hand. When it touches the handle of the blade the blood converts into healing energy and heals the user's wounds. Notes: Healing = (20 + 4 * X + 5 * Reiatsu Mod). Costs 15 + X reiatsu. X is defined as the Reiatsu amount needed to boost the healing ability by 4.

Coul you make that a healing art instead, it seems to go better with healing than it does with Zanjutsu techniques.

Is what i'm getting at. if it is unoriginal, it wasn't intentional; I had thought of the move myself, but it so happens that it bears resemblance to something else. Not to beat a dead horse with the whole "nothing is original anymore" thing, but it may be severely limited if people cannot use something simply because it appears elsewhere.

Kenosha_Kai Coul you make that a healing art instead, it seems to go better with healing than it does with Zanjutsu techniques. Zanjutsu: "Probably the most common and well known of the four forms of shinigami combat is zanjutsu (æ¬è¡, lit. cutting technique; translated as swordsmanship). In this form of combat, a shinigami fights with the shinigami's zanpakutÅ." -Wikipedia.com
My Soul Slayer is a 'Body/Blood' type. In other words my Zampakuto is a messed up mix of Kidou/Vampire moves. The Zanjutsu techniques fits perfectly with my Character's soul cutter.

Technically then...shouldn't that be classed as an ability for your Zanpakuto?

Kenosha_Kai Technically then...shouldn't that be classed as an ability for your Zanpakuto? A Zanjutsu is a manipulation, or a further usage, of the ability of a Zanpakuto. Egeus sucks blood and converts it into Reiatsu. The techniques that I've listed simply reverse that effect and heals my character, or a hurt person, through changing soul energy into healing chi, aka 'blood chi'.
Zabimaru and Renji do the same thing with their Zanjutsu skill; Higa ZekkÅ. If you remember right the Higa Zekko technique manipulates the effect of Renji's whipping Shikai so that, when the blade's pieces are scattered, can create a omnidirectional attack.
Senbonzakura, for another example, is also a further usage of Byakuya Kuchiki's Shikai. It focuses the pedals of his Shikai into one splicicing/dicing attack on one target. Instead of a whirling pool of swarming pedals the sakura pedals jumped down upon an opponent is a practiced shape/form.
A Zanjutsu is just using your Zampakuto's powers in a more defined and 'practiced' form. Simple.

nnng...i was more inclined to believe that Zanjutsu was the art of weilding your Zanpakuto rather than the actual ability, but I think I see what you're getting at...
for instance when Kuchiki starts to use his hands to weild the petals instead of just his eyes.
Either way, it seems odd to have a healing technique as a Zanjutsu (implies harming) and not either a Healing art, or Zanpakuto technique.

I actually would say that would be a technique unique only to your zampakuto, it kind of fits into zanjutsu and kind of doesn't =x

"In this form of combat, a shinigami fights with the shinigami's zanpakutÅ." The description does not say how the user fights with their zanpakuto. *Shrug*
